Well-lit path to entrance
Family owned gorgeous mountain Lodge on the side of a mountain with views of Scottish highland cows on the property. Our stay was lovely from the greeting at the door, to the well-appointed room, gorgeous great room and deck, and topped off with a gourmet breakfast. Highly recommend!
A beautiful lodge with outdoor and indoor activities. Beautiful scenery.
Cozy and personal. Home cook breakfasts by Glenda were wonderful and unique…highly recommend.
Amazing views and fantastic breakfast.
Relaxing Bed & Breakfast with Great Hosts
What an amazing place for a quiet retreat. Our hosts were wonderful, made delicious breakfasts, and had great stories to tell. The place is beautiful. No need to go anywhere. Just relaxing in the huge living room with a book watching the humming birds come back and forth on the deck was perfect. There's also a great trail to hike and if you're lucky, you might even cross path with the three goats that roam freely in the woods.
Beautiful escape!
My partner and I absolutely loved the place! We stayed in the cabin suites and it was nice to be in a very private space. The views from the main house are incredible and the animals are all super friendly.
Property is set on the side of a hill with glorious views over the mountain. A log cabin with a magnificent double volume lounge area with picture window views and an out door terrace. Convenient for Asheville and lots of great walking a cycling nearby.
Extremely beautiful log cabin! The decor and the enviroment was very nice and makes you feel very homey away from home. Breakfast was superb! Highly recommend! Looking forward to booking again in the near future...
The property owners are great.the lodge is amazing. The workmanship in building is beyond my expectations.
They treat you like family and maje yiu feel like never leaving.
Gorgeous view and great service!
Loved it! Beautiful place, spectacular view, people there are wonderful and the breakfast was fantastic. I was sad to leave.
Awesome location and views
Wildberry Lodge went above and beyond our expectations. This was my husband‘s first time staying at a true bed and breakfast. I wasn’t sure how he would do without a TV in our room (we are both big tv watchers). It was totally NOT an issue. There was a loft area right outside of our room that was so homey and had a large TV. There was also WiFi that allowed us to use our phones to access whatever we would normally watch on tv. Ken, Glenda, and Darla were amazing and so welcoming . The breakfast was so beautifully prepared and served each morning. We were full until dinner!! I highly recommend this place. It is well worth the few minutes drive from downtown Asheville to stay in paradise. My husband did not want to leave.
The property and lodge are beautiful. The staff was warm and accommodating. They made several helpful suggestions on sights and restaurants.
Likes: Friendly hosts. Excellent breakfasts! Beautiful views. Hummingbirds everywhere. Dislikes: Challenging steep gravel driveway. No standup shower (jacuzzi tub only).
Amazing Weekend!
Amazing weekend! Ken and Glenda were amazing hosts and we will definitely be back! Wonderful breakfast and great conversation, we enjoyed it so much.
Awesome weekend
Stayed here as a launching pad for a weekend in the mountains and Asheville. The Wildberry was a great place to stay from the view of the mountains, to the 3 course breakfast, the large property, the welcoming hosts, and the friendly baby goat. I would recommend the Wildberry to any couple looking for a great place to stay!
One of my favorite places so far. The owners were absolutely incredible. They were so sweet, warm and welcoming the second we walked in the door. Breakfast was incredible every morning and we felt right at home. We can’t wait to go back.
this was absolutely one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. I would recommend to anyone!
Location and people friendliness. The location is excellent.
Wonderful Gem in the Mountains
What a gem in the high hills of beautiful Asheville! Ken and Glenda were wonderful hosts. The lodge had a very homey comfort feeling. Breakfast was tasty and they were accommodating when we requested more veggies be added to our entree. The hot tub was a nice way to wind down and relax our sore muscles from hiking the Pinnacle all day. Forgot that some time had passed from the last time we tackled a day hike on a vertical climb. We would love to come back and stay at the lodge. Met some wonderful people there. Purchased some items that Glenda’s sister hand-made. Can’t get this anywhere else! You can tell the hosts take great care of their business and treat guests like family. Love that.
Property was beautiful it was very attractive on website rooms was spacious with big windows looking out on beautiful valley .. we got small room with small window looking on parking lot (back of the house) and no view, another window was very small too (I didn’t even notice it at first) and looking entrance porch which is at the back of the house as well no view .. I was very disappointed for the price we payed. I think we got the worse room.. It was our first time to this property We didn’t read rules of the house so we didn’t ask what we want for breakfast so I sense the feeling of irritation from the owner. She met us day before but nothing was mentioned. Breakfast was offered full of sugar. crepes with apple syrup baked grapefruit with some sugar on top and fried bananas also with some sugar syrup.. Eventually I got my raw grapefruit and egg and my boyfriend got toast he felt bad for asking anything else. Please be very specific when you renting this property. Owner seems like living in the house so it didn't feel like a neutral place.
Great time!
Awesome time! The service we received from Jim & Susan was outstanding. The gourmet breakfast was great! We plan on returning next year in October to catch the beautiful leaves & to see our new friends again. Don’t miss booking a stay here. You’ll be very happy you did!
Beautiful large log inn with great views. Wonderful breakfast
The Inn was amazing from the first glimpse you take of it through the experience of meeting the owners and their wonderful staff. Our stay was amazing and we will stay again.
The Wildberry Lodge was everything i was expecting and more! Ken and Glenda were amazing hosts, they were friendly, polite, and fun to talk too. There's 3 dogs that live at the Lodge that are very friendly. There's goats and cows that graze the land nearby. We didn't use the hot tub since we went in the middle of summer but it's nice to know it's there. Ken and Glenda are in the process of making a hiking path that we briefly explored but I believe they said it's over 2 miles long at this point. The views are gorgeous! I recommend getting a room with the mountain view but if you get a room with the hill view, the patio is big enough that you can watch the sunset from there. You can tell that Ken and Glenda have put in a lot of time, effort, and love into making the Wildberry Lodge one of the best Bed and Breakfasts. My only complaint is that we only stayed for a single night. We'll be coming back for sure.
We couldn’t have loved it more. The food was incredible. We wandered the grounds. We mentioned one morning before leaving we may use the fire pit that night and when we returned they had wood, kindling, paper, s’mores fixings, and cushions all set up. We’re a very active couple but two days of rain forced us to stay in and play cards and nap. We loved it
Beautiful views and wonderful hosts.
Beautiful view, quiet and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the inn and their hosts were fantastic.
Wonderful setting with gracious hosts and a comfortable room.
Homey great breakfast ,view Really would like a TV
Majestic Getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Amazing location and tremendously beautiful views! What a relaxing place to visit !
The lodge was beautiful and comfortable. The views are amazing. The location is very convenient. The owners and thoughtful and charming. The breakfasts are outstanding. We would recommend this lodge to anyone looking to get away but still be close to all that Asheville and the Smokey mountains have to offer.
Outside Asheville, worth the drive
Wonderful breakfasts! Congenial hosts in a lovely log house. Very comfortable. Would stay again.
Paradise in the mountains
This property is breath taking and the owners, Ken and Glenda, are delightful. The breakfast is gourmet and the wine selection is delicious. We are going back in October and taking some friends with us.
Romantic Weekend in Asheville, Best place to stay
We stayed two nights in the Gooseberry room. The room had a balcony with a breathtaking view. We also enjoyed very much the jetted tub and the delicious breakfast prepared by Glenda in the morning. The house is beautiful and Ken and Glenda are wonderful hosts. Staying at the Wildberry Lodge made our first visit to Asheville a memorable getaway and we will definitely come back.
Beautiful home and view. Owners are wonderful and the food is great.
Amazing place to stay!!
The lodge is located on the side of a mountain overlooking a beautiful valley. It is very tranquil and peaceful. The views from the lodge are awesome. The owners, Glenda and Ken, are very gracious and accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious and filling.
Nice people, good view, relaxing--but we don't relax much on vacation, so we left at 5 AM to see the elk wake up at the state park an hour west of Asheville.
LOVE this place
My husband and I have stayed here 5 or 6 times in all different seasons and it is WONDERFUL. Huge outdoor deck with a view of the mountains, delicious breakfast, and lots of great touches like wine and cheese happy hour and hot tub. It is such a relaxing place to get away from it all. Ken and Glenda are super nice and helpful with exploring the area.
Poor service none existent
It was like we were none existent sense we were in the lowest priced room We were supposed to get breakfast didn’t even get it on the 2nd day Not one word Room was nice service terrible
One of the nation’s best B & Bs by far.
Ken and Glenda were the best hosts anyone could ever ask for to make the perfect vacation.
Stunning views!
This bed and breakfast is absolutely stunning! Ken and Glenda are wonderful hosts who share their luxurious home and their knowledge of the area. The gooseberry room had a stunning view of the mountains that you could watch from your balcony. The 2 person Jacuzzi and comfy bed were wonderful. You could also enjoy the common areas which were anything but common....a lounge area with tv, microwave, fridge and comfy couches, a beautiful main room with incredible fireplace and a wall of windows, and a playroom downstairs with a pool table and a shuffleboard table. A hot tub, large porch and fire pit complete the outside areas of the bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful.
Beautiful views. Very good breakfasts. Awesome lodge. Attention to detail and cleanliness is very evident. Nice folks that own the place. Would recommend it highly!
Great stay - Excellent- Breakfast outstanding -
Would return and recommend this Bed & Breakfast to all
Superable!!!!!
Amazing! Everything was perfect! Clean room and bathroom. Tasty breakfast, cooked by chef. So much to do in the house. Jacuzzi, sauna, pool table, library, TV, other games. I was impressed!!! At first we booked one night, but we like it so much, so we booked another!!! 5-7 pm there's wine available. Soft drinks and snacks are always in the fridge. Definitely coming back. Oh, location is breathtaking! In the middle of the mountains!
Awesome B&B
Went for a romantic weekend getaway and loved it! The lodge is beautiful, the staff were beyond accommodating, the breakfast was great and the views are amazing. I would definitely stay again but this time in the honeymoon cabin.
Best Biltmore Area Retreat
We will return. The staff of The Wild berry Lodge made us feel like family. Food was marvelous and the many amenities brought great value.
Beautiful lodge in the mountains
Spectacular views, beautiful lodge, and delicious breakfast - will definitely come back!! Spent three days at the Wildberry Lodge and only have compliments. One of the nicest mini vacations we have experienced. Strongly recommend this B&B.
This was a beautiful property! There were gorgeous views of the mountains and there were Highland cattle! The cows were a great surprise! We enjoyed the comfort and spaciousness of the room, and the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We truly enjoyed our stay
