Desk clerk was very nice and came to the room when we couldn’t figure out the tv remote. Will stay there again when I go to Monticello.
The bed was comfy. It was disappointing not to have any internet since the ad states Hey:)-speed. The staff was very nice. Room for your toy trailer
.
Small town, but, the carpets were terribly dirty, thus a bad odor and no soap or shampoo and no next day room service.
Nothing special like a 50s motel
A good value
It was a good value for the night, but the furnishings need to be replaced, otherwise things were in good condition.
Staff was very kind and helpful
Very clean, bathroom small but shower was a little trickle and got scalding and could not control
We stayed one night. The check-in/out lady was friendly and helpful. Room is a bit dated, but clean enough for a one night stay. Internet was quite slow.
Decent, but a big bathroom but does the job.
Das Zimmer wurde nicht gemacht
It was exactly what we were looking: an Inexpensive, convenient, safe room for the night. Check in was quick, and they are very friendly.
Front Desk (Owner) was very friendly and was quick to reprogram our DirecTv remote when it was not working. Parking spot was reserved per room so that our car was parked close to the room.
Poor internet connection. In the evening it was almost impossible to go online.
Friendly staff
This is an older property, but the room met our needs for a night on the road. The woman at the front desk was very nice, very efficient.
It was not a good choice.
Smelly
Internet needs some work. Shower plumbing needs some work. Bed was really comfortable, pleasant surprise for a roadside motel. Room was quiet with newer windows. AC was quiet. They did a great job on the important things. We used this location to access Arches and Mesa Verde. Excellent.
Excellent deal! Hot water and great water pressure, and everything you need for a night on the road.
If you're a single male riding a motorcycle and need a bed and a shower - this place is barely ok.
Property was dated but well kept. Staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. Went out of their way to help. Breakfast bar would have been nice.
Budget. Overall room was clean. Was muggy because no AC on before we got in there. Bathroom door didn't close. And tile was old and mildewed. Beds were old innerspring and not that comfortable. Family run and people were nice.
I was given my room key and entered the room. It did not look as if it had been cleaned after the last visitors. There was feces on the toilet. The sink had a sticky pink substance all over it that smelled like vomit. There was a smear of what appeared to be blood on the sheets of the bed. I photographed these things & called the front desk. The attendant said she’d call someone. Forty minutes later, I’d seen no-one. I went to the front desk. The attendant told me, “All of our housekeepers are on vacation”. Obviously, this was a lie. You can't run a motel with no housekeeping. And, when was she going to tell me that she didn’t plan to send anyone? I asked for my money back. She called the owner and the owner refused. This was a nightmare!
The space was adequate. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The facility is old, but it appears that it is getting upgraded. the toilet tank was broken. it was very noisy outside the room .
I slept okay. The covers had an odd odor. Was glad to have a place to sleep. shower head dripped all night could not shut it off. Wanted to let staff know. Office locked in the morning. Left the key in the door drop off
An older motel but small bathroom, no wifi, poor lighting, tv hard to change channels. Was quiet, firmer bed, nice walk-in shower, mostly clean, good working A/C.
The shower was leaking the whole time, different things I touched were sticky, place had a bad smell, and wasn't very clean. Bed was uneven as well.
The place is easy to get in and out, if looking for quick stay sleep and shower it is ok, the worst part is the WIFI terrible and if you have T-Mobil you are out of luck.
Retro bathroom with gooseneck shower head and vintage tile. Clean, quiet, inexpensive, excellent service, fantastic rack rate. Coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, ice machine. What’s not to like? Booking another night here to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs, excellent TV and calve service!
Great place to stay on my way to Canyonlands and Arches. Way cheaper than anything in Moab if your willing to drive a tiny bit. Not new or fancy, but very clean and comfortable.
Clean, pleasant person at the front desk.
Older motel but well maintained. Clean, comfortable bed.
We will stay here again
It's an older property, well maintained with nice upgrades. WiFi was spotty, due to the town being remote. Nice and quiet. Close to a GREAT Mexican restaurant. Fantastic staff!
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Price was good, room needs some work, nice staff, lots of good restaurants, nice town, good grocery, convenient to Canyonlands and Arches, dated courtyard needed some junk removal
The clerk that checked us in was very friendly and a great conversationalist. The room was in bad condition and the bed was uncomfortable. The room needs to be remodeled desperately.
103 TV did not work
Fine for a one night stay while traveling through
Convenient motel next to an exceptional Mexican restaurant. Smelled clean, no bed bugs. Very poor condition, stained carpets, holes in the blankets, (blood?) stained box spring. Hot shower with good water pressure.
This is obviously an older hotel but it has been maintained very well and was very clean. It was close to canyonlands where we were going and montecello is much quieter to stay in than moab. We will stay here again next time we go to canyonlands ❤️
A quick trip
Quick, painless, and perfect for our adventure base camp! The gal at the front desk was polite, the room was clean, and the location is excellent. Mellow!
There are only a couple of Motels in this town. Motel is dated and needs some repairs/upgrades.
we just stopped for one night to sleep, the ad says high speed wifi, not true. the room was neat and clean which was all we needed, staff was kind and helpful.
Great deal- shower therapeutic quality.
The shower was fantastic! Best ever we’ve experienced in a hotel. The room was clean and definitely worth the price. Would stay again.
Loved dark sky lighting = none. NIce roomy older motel. Good freezer.
Overall very run down. Much needed updates
Old hotel
Good inexpensive place to stay on our way to the Parks
Great
Surprisingly clean and comfortable
Frugal & friendly
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and neat. It was just the right place to stay the night on our way from Phoenix to western Colorado, and the price was quite reasonable.
The room was clean, staff was very polite The only thing I didn’t like was the Internet Wi-Fi , it did not work most of the time Otherwise, a good stay
Clean spacious rooms with great hot water. They need new pillows.
Really well kept and updated. I will stay here again.
Refrigerator; 2 beds; luggage rack
While it’s great if you have large rig parking is easy, are redoing rooms so maybe n the next year it will be better
Cheap for a reason.
I was unable to get a refund for the second night that I did not stay in the hotel and had canceled earlier in the week. The room was tiny and dark, only one light and one outlet worked. The bedding was old and uncomfortable and I could hear everything from the other rooms. Will not stay in again.
A
Does the television work?
Television was difficult to turn on. I could have asked for help but I had reading to do.
The staff was friendly and even let me use their gas grill, but the room was smelly.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and well kept.
Worked good for what we needed. It’s a older place but was a good fit for our stay!
The cost was the best in town. The amenities were good. Could not find the heat transformer to regulate the heat. The unit was very clean.
Thanks
The Monticello Inn was just what I wanted: a clean nice place to stay the night. Thanks!
Pictures did not accurately represent state of the facility. A fine place to stay for a quick night, but I did not feel very safe.
All perfect
Mostly clean and pretty well kept. Showing it's age somewhat. The shower head only allowed one fourth of the water to come out. In the 5 minutes in the shower the water turned from cold to very painfully hot.
I heard some banging noises at night. Can’t fall in sleep.
It's right in town Rooms need updated
Easy check in. Friendly staff
Easy check in , friendly staff
Cheapest for a reason.
The WiFi was pathetic. The mattress and pillows were all hard. The water just dropped from the shower.
Family stay
Relatively comfortable. Have stayed here many times in the past but now it seems to be a little more run-down. Refrigerator in room didn't have any shelves and the carpet needs to be removed.
This is our home property and it appears to be well maintained and the staff was responsive
good value
Nice place price was right area around the hotel could be cleaner
Great place for the price, clean room, good shower. Perfect spot for an overnight. Would stay again.
Nice folks, I’ll be back.
Didn’t make it, had a motorcycle breakdown 😭
Decent stay for a decent price
On the second day my room had not been touched by a maid. I complained to the owner and he said for long stays like mine they only do the room every 3 days! Later that day they gave me some clean towels. This is unexceptable for the amount of money I pay for a room. I will never book through you folks again.
Clean very acceptable for the price, only real drawback was weak shower pressure, have seen much worse for higher prices
comfy and clean
Older property, clean, quiet room in the newer (east) wing. (We did move rooms as the first room had a neighbor with a very loud TV.) Comfy bed, good amenities. TV a bit cumbersome to negotiate.
Rooms are dated but clean. Beds were comfortable.
The king size bed was comfortable. The bathtub should be replaced as the finish was stained and flaking off. The air conditioner would not automatically turn off so we had to unplug it as it was very noisy.
No breakfast
This was a typical Route 66 style drive up motel. The service was great, the room was very clean, the rate was great as well. I would happily stay here again.
ok
Great and helpful staff at checkin.
Room was clean. Older motel, comfortable and easy to get to.
An older property but clean and comfortable.
This place is a dump - I did not stay, moved to the Red Roof inn in Grand Junction for the night.
Older motel. Okay for the price
Great Stay
Always a great stay here.
Pretty bad. Did not clean room when they should have. Room has mold smell
The location is good and the employee is nice.
Great no-frills budget motel. Nice owner!
Everyone was very nice and very helpful. It an okay place to stay half of the 14 of us had a hard time getting into bed due to the height of the beds. Plenty of hot water to accommodate all the showers. Beds were comfortable.
When I booked this reservation, I knew I was staying in a budget hotel and my expectations were lower. Any one of my frustrations I could write off, but there were so many things. The Wi-Fi struggled the whole night. There wasn’t any shampoo or conditioner or soap in the room. The hair dryer didn’t work. One of the outlets didn’t work, which I only discovered in the morning. There was also black growth in the shower. The heating worked well and so did the refrigerator. Overall, a frustrating stay.
Nice and friendly staff. Will stay there again.
