Everything is satisfactory

It’s near to public transport, shopping and restaurants. Staff are courteous and helpful.

The cityview hotel is conveniently situated near the Yau Ma Tei station. The hotel is clean and well maintained. We've got the room upgraded. The room is spacious and clean. The bed is comfy also. The formt desk staffs are helpful and the housekeeping lady is very cheeful and friendly..we have a good rest for the 5 nights stay in this hotel. We will definitely come back to this hotel for our next trip to Hong Kong again.

Wonderful stay! Got nice upgrade to top floor. Guess I stay here many many time. Track you!

Very friendly staff

Bed was rather uncomfortable. Booked for 4 nights but I could not get any good rest for all 4 nights. Wasn't really sound proof. So could hear all the closing of doors on the same level. Pillows were toooo soft for my liking. But location was superb. 1 minute walk to MTR and it was near many shopping places.

good hotel in very good location

This is a good hotel in a very good, central location in Kowloon.

The hotel has a space theme, quite interesting and friendly for family with kids. Although breakfast food choice are little limited, it is still great.

The extra sofa bed was not comfortable but expensive. It's very disappointing. We did not get enough towels for three people on the third night. I felt being pushed away by the front desk staff every time when I had issues. It would be great if she's more attentive than act like she's efficient.

Location was excellent, seconds away from 711, Circle K, Food and the MTR station (Yau Ma Tei) I didn’t see any cockroach outside their lobby nor inside, thank God. There was almost always a staff there ready to open doors. The pictures don’t do justice as reality is a little more rusty and old furnished.

convenient Transportaion

Wonderful location; close to Nathan Road, Pitt St exit of MTR Yaumatei. Restaurants aplenty in the area. Quiet side street iff Nathan Road.

Like the convenient location and accessibility to MTR and buses. Easily accessible to shopping streets and dining. Service staff in the hotel needs to be improve to assist hotel guests when necessary. The service staff are not very kind and helpful which is such a dissappointment.

All staff going the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable.

They need the full names including middle name when check-in. I spent almost 30 minutes to argue with them in this matter. Terrible experience. Never happened before.

Bed is comfortable, but the bathroom is rather small. Hotel should install a hook near the shower screen for hanging of towel especially.

Due to its location in YMT, it is super close to everything from restaurants to Fa Yuen Street to TST and Mongkok. Rooms are nice and a fair size so no worries here. I will give a big thumbs up to their elevators. Never had to wait more than a minute and there were 4 elevators moving people all the time.

Great budget friendly hotel. The property itself is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is decent with many options. Easy access to the MTR and airport via the A21 bus, both of which are less than 5 minutes away. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The beds could be a little more comfortable, which is my only downside. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Yau Ma Tei area.

Nice hotel perfect location close to everything .

Very central location, very near MTR, easy access and in quieter area. Many local food options available nearby. Supermarket nearby (~10 min walk). Bus stop with airport bus A21 nearby. Interior furnishing is updated and clean, not dark or shabby. Good condition for reasonable price. Good view from upper floors over the park. Will not mind staying at this hotel again.

Light sleepers take note that the noise insulation for this old wing building is not good, can hear neighbors’ talking, bathing, turning on switches, front road traffic noises, housekeeping noises; overall resulted by super thin wall & windows; however the room renovation is v good & modern & comfy; nevertheless am still preferring this hotel coz been staying here upteen times for years so very used to this area

Good Location

We have been staying at this hotel each time we visit HongKong. It is conveniently located near the MTR station (2 minutes walk) and surrounded by many eateries.

Great room, facilities, service, and proximity to transit. Note building is next to a fire hall and sirens can be heard nightly. No face cloths for us North Americans.

Location is good near bus and mtr. I was not able to leave my suitcase in storage even though I had 3 reservations here. They were not accommodating

This was my 2nd stay at the hotel. First time was excellent, but this time was horrible. They offered me a room on the other side of the building, and the room condition was really bad. The first room they got me was too smelly, so I requested to change it. Staff was very efficient and offerred me another room, still smelly but better. I noticed the curtain and wall paper were stained badly, but the restroom was more spacious compared to the one I stayed in last time. I was too lazy to ask for another room, but later I found out the toilet was not flushing properly. Staff sent a handyman fairly quickly, even it was almost midnight.I appreciated their efforts, but i still need to flush the toilet twice or more everytime I used it after that. If you only care about the location, it's still very good, but if you also care about the room condition, you'd better ask to stay on the side that is closer to the check-in counter.

Security issues - poor dispute resolution

I never usually post bad reviews of an establishment, opting to only offer good reviews for an excellent experience. This one however was handled so poorly, with an unacceptable "solution" offered for a serious mishap. I stayed at the Cityview Hotel 8 years ago and had a lovely stay with a comfortable modern room, a nice breakfast buffet, and without incident. This time around I was not so fortunate - the only thing going for it was the location - right next to Yau Ma Tei station. The beds were as hard as the floor, the breakfast buffet food quality was nowhere near as nice as the previous stay, no bathroom amenities or bottled water provided like other hotels, and on my final night an unexpected guest gained access to my room with a keycard. The hotel had checked someone else into my room before I had even checked out. This was a MAJOR breach of security and trust, and it was fortunate that I was in the room and in bed. Despite being embarrassed by the situation, had I not been in the room the guest could have stolen my passport and belongings by gaining access to my room. As such I quickly packed up and checked out early, opting not to stay the final night. The hotel apologised, and I requested a refund for the unstayed night due to their terrible mistake, but this was dishonoured continuously after back and forth correspondence, with the offering a "suite upgrade and complimentary buffet dinner on my next stay". No thanks, probably won't be back.

Good location, nice room, everything to my satisfaction except WiFi a bit weak, but can't said no to the others best points of the hotel

Great location!

We had 2 rooms for our family of 4 (2 teenage kids). We would not have fit in 2 "double beds" as they are really small! We got adjoining renovated rooms and they were comfortable. Very close to the fruit market, sneaker street and great eats just downstairs - Kadora bakery, HK style cafes etc. The subway entrance is right there too. I would stay there again.

I was woken up by construction like noise around 4 pm and could not go back to sleep. I have mentioned this to the front desk when I checked out.

Proximity to city centre and MTR, food places; friendly staff, room facilities great - shower, bedding, lighting, Would be great to have free gym privileges included in room price, one extra pillow for single bed; automatic door closing noise-when it closes on its own, it sounds like someone slammed it shut , worst in the morning when people are getting out.

Basic amenities are available. Sound-proof between rooms and walk-way are acceptable. Pillows too soft and low, can be better to accommodate Guest's needs.

The pillow is too soft and mattress is very hard and make you feel back pain.

I thought this hotel was excellent overall. The staff were friendly and the room was big (by Hong Kong standards), clean and well-equipped. The only very minor flaw was that my room on the 6th floor was subject to some traffic noise during the day, but fortunately, it wasn't an issue at night. I didn't try the food, so I can't comment on that. All in all, I would certainly recommend this hotel and I'll be back in future.

Neighborhood is near a lot of food and places to eat. I’m traveling to other countries and the hotel do not allow storage. So this is a huge disappointment.

Overall was ok, comfortable and place was clean. Had requested to change room cause it was facing the lift directly. So they moved us to a lower floor, which we are totally cool about it. But could feel that the staff handling us seems unhappy about it. Their attitude was as though we owe them instead of us being the consumers throughout. Won't recommend here if you expect to have even minimum service.

Generally everything is above standard when considering the property type and area. Water is leaking inside a box underneath the bath tub storing the cold an hot water valves. Reported to the management x5 times during a stay of 7 days. No major repairs were made.. Affecting your livelihood.

Convenient location, easy access to bus and metro. Many eating place within walking distance. The room is small as standard size in HongKong, AC working well, we would stay again.

The staff were very courteous. I requested for an early check in and they accommodated my request. The room was tidy and had plenty of space. The location is a minute away from the subway.

Stayed here for the u20 women’s lacrosse championship. Great place to stay. Close to MTR, markets, shopping and restaurants!

This hotel is so convenient for access to all kinds public transport like MTR, buses and mini-busea. It is closed to the Mongkok shopping area within 5 minutes walking distance. The main reason I chose this hotel it's the more affordable price.

Very convenient location, with Metro(Subway) and bus stops nearby. The rooms are spacious (by HK standard) and clean. Looks like it had been renewed/updated since our last stay. One negative surprise to me is that the YMCA gym is no longer free for the hotel guests. I had to purchase daily tickets (HK$60 each) at the front desk to use the gym. It used to be free in my several previous stays.

Our stay was amazing as usual. The location is perfect for travelling around via the trains and the staff are always super friendly and attentive.

I chose this hotel mainly because of the price and location. It is closed to the MTR station and the public bus stop. Only 5 to 10 minutes walk to the Mongkok shopping area. A lot of good restaurants to choose nearby. Staffs are very friendly with clean and tidy room. Will definitely book this hotel for next trip to Hong Kong

I’m truly in live with this hotel. Staff is very helpful and nice. Room is clean and the fixture is user friendly. Restaurants are excellent and the location is perfect for going anywhere you like. It makes my trip with a three year old delightful and easy.

Cons: The hotel is old. Lots of things broke. Bathroom has no power outlet. Deluxe room has no where to sit. Floor carpet is dirty. Ever thought the hotel is a non-smoking facility, ppl still smokes. Local call from the room is NOT free. Pro: Connivence location. Subway and bus around the street. Tons of restaurants. Tons of shopping options
