While the property is spacious, areas such as bathrooms, wardrobes, toilets are not well maintained. Definitely not a 5 star as claimed.
We had an amazing villa. Very close to beach and the staff were excellent. Would stay here again.
Liked the breakfast in the morning and friendly staff. Morning breakfast was made for us b u Kadek and she is excellent.
The Villa was as ok, looks a bit dated though. We liked the secluded swimming pool. The only issue was that no hair dryer was provided. We also was charged an extortionate price for a late check out.
Villa was gorgeous! Staff was super helpful allowing us a very late checkout (for additional cost) since our flight out departed at midnight. The staff also found out about. Birthday happening the day after check in for one of our group, and surprised us with a personalized birthday cake! Such a great touch and beyond the level of service we expected! Such a great experience!
Very close to beach, street shopping, and restaurants. Provides an exclusive feel once inside your personal villa. We stayed in the 3 bd villa. The private pool was a perfect depth (4ft) and length.
Stayed in the large villa. Very spacious (too much for our family!) each bedroom has a massive en-suite. Also, very large pool. Breakfast service was a great way to start the day and all staff very friendly.
Literally Heaven on Earth
My family and I (4 Adults, 1 5 year old, 1 5 month old) stayed at The Akasha Luxury Villas in August of this year. It was literally amazing. We arrived at 3 AM in the morning and were treated so hospitabilty at reception and welcomed to the villa. As we entered the villa we were all blown away as it was fantastic, from the available space, the details in every room, the decor, almost like we were part of an "MTV Cribs" episode. Day and and day out the staff was incredible, from breakfast to any question we had. The place was superb and I only regret we only had 4 days there. Next time I come to Bali and I will definitely be staying here again, hopefully with a bigger group to enjoy this gem of a place.
Nice place if you want to be by yourself :-)
The place is beautiful. Nice common areas. We stayed in the bungalow which was large and cosy, but there is much noise from the street, unfortunately. Pool very nice! Overall a nice stay, but would have liked the staff to be more present, they are only present in the reception. Be aware of what you book - villas or bungalow. You won’t have access to the same facilities. It was nice, but pricey, when the service is not better.
Beautiful, great service, and an amazing price. The rooms were amazing, the bathroom alone was massive. The breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend.
This was a amazing stay for us. Absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff are lovely and really make sure your stay is perfect for you.
Loved our stay!
Just an incredible experience our first night’s in Bali. Loved the outdoor shower and the breakfast! They sprayed for bugs/mosquitoes every day which I definitely appreciated! Beautiful pool area and so close to the beach!
Amazing stay in great location. Would totally stay there again.
Service was amazing, staff is always on top of everything. Staff made life in Bali very easy!
This Villa is very nice , comfy room with nice features , feels homeley and private . The kitchen area and sofas very nice . The distance to the beach is like 5 min walk . And secure . There is a supermarket accross in case you need something cheap. Its a very nice beach walk as well away from the other crowded part of seminyak . I really liked it at this end of seminyak . The closer you getto kuta side the busier and louder
This place is amazing, quite and relaxing, alittle far from the hussle of busy bali, but just a short walk to surf beach butu belig 😎
We stayed in the 3 bedroom family villa. Room was comfortable and staff were very friendly. However, the overhead shower was a bit faulty in one tumor the rooms. We enjoyed our stay there!
Excellent location - helpful staff - recently renovated
Facilities and service were wonderful. Super comfortable beds, quiet area. Would stay again
Quiet but close to all your needs Staff dedicated and always on hand to help
Pretty rooms, but too many mosquitoes within accom
located in a quiet section of town, rooms are themed and beautifully decorated, although placement of decorative ornaments had me bumping my head into the shelves at least 3 times during my 1night stay. one minimart is very close, just few steps out the front gate. downside is that mosquitoes are super active (even in daytime), pool is abit too small to swim in (perfect for kids to splash around in perhaps - 1.3m deep). we were required to indicate our breakfast selection and timing immediately upon check-in, seems abit too rushed. be sure to have your own transport arranged, otherwise I don't see how you can get in and out easily, especially with the ban on taxis (e.g. BlueBird), Grab, Uber etc in Bali. about 1h to reach Denpasar airport, due to traffic jams on main road.
A hidden gem
The room we got was small and had no bath tub. There are luxury villas with private pools. The pool was small but right outside our door. We shared it with 3 other rooms but pretty much had it to ourselves. Eka was charming, spoke excellent English. Very helpful. The staff were amazing. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning to enjoy on the patio or inside. We loved that we could walk a very short distance to market and eateries. I got a massage, manicure and pedicure at a local business. The Akasha Villas was a very comfortable, charming and beautiful hotel.
Clean, comfortable, friendly, handy for Canggu. Good value.
Great place to stay. fantastic staff with excellent service
Nice hotel, the staff were very helpful, just disappointed that the tea making facilities were never refilled and we had to ask for coffee was not available in the room, also we were a little disappointed that we had to pick a time the day before for when we wanted breakfast the following day
Quite location close to beach
Quite location, but close enough to beach for wonderful sunset beers. Not for someone looking for busy night life, ideal for quite relaxing Bali experience. Breakfast included with room, bit repetitive but always cooked to order and served at the door. Pool outside room also a plus. Nice staff , great beds and very clean
Bathroom is unclean smell of odor the smell is way too strong
Delightful hotel close to beach
I spent three days at the Akasha, much in need of a break. This little guesthouse is a complete gem! Apart from the villas, there are four unique rooms overlooking the beautiful pool. The grounds are immaculate, with many grounds people ensuring nothing is out of place and all is kept clean and pristine. You can order dinner and eat on your private terrace or the tiny roof terrace overlooking the pool, from which you can admire the Seminyak sunsets. And yet the beach is only a stroll away.
Nice spot
Great place but for the money they should have a fridge in the room
Not recommended
We had stayed in an amazing hotel before coming to Akasha, and this hotel just didn't live up to our expectations for the price we paid (almost similar to the Udaya). The bathroom has a strong smell of sewerage, which I think is seeking out from the pipes. Kind of gross. Our Tv wasn't working well. The pictures were blurry like it was a 3D movie. We called reception to check it out, they didn't manage to fix it and said they will do so the next day, but they still hadn't. They use glass bottles for shampoo and soap, and due to the shelf being wet, the bottles actually slid off and broke on the floor. They charged us $15 for it, which I felt was overpriced seeing as it was Bali. I left a feedback saying that such glass bottles shouldn't be used because of the fact they can fall and break so easily in a bathroom setting!! Ridiculous that they couldn't waive off the charge as it was an accident and "It was procedure" and it has entirely soured my experience! Furthermore, toothbrush and toothpaste sets were not provided in the room which I thought was a hotel standard.Even my $60 hotel in Jimbaran provided full toiletries. Not value for money, poor facilities, poor customer serviceand empathy, not recommended. Locationwise it's far from the shopping area, but it's good if u want to go to the beach.
Fantastic villa close to beach
Wow .... what an amazing place to stay whilst celebrating my 50th birthday with family and friends. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable .... even bringing me a cake in the day of my birthday!! Great location and many nice restaurants close by - Watercress a fabulous place to dine. Loved the spacious 4 bedroom villa with jacuzzi - I will be back for sure!
Not a 5 star hotel
We stayed in Villa #12 which is a 4 bedroom complex. When it was new I'm sure it was a very nice place to stay but it is obvious that not 1 penny has been spent on the place since the construction. Furniture is old and the exterior needs a fresh paint job. The bathrooms are really bad. The hot water pressure runs for a minute or 2 then shuts off then starts again. Showers are not fun. The showers are open air so the mosquitoes and other insects join you while you shower. The bathroom floors are faux stone tiles. The paint is peeling off of most of them. The hotel gave us a jar (it was an old jelly jar) of cookies when we arrived. My wife, as I did, thought it was a gift so she packed it in one of our bags. The last day when we checked out and started to drive away a staff member chased after our car calling out for us to stop. The hotel wanted their old jelly jar back. That is how cheap they are!
Spacious
The Villa was lovely 3 bedroomed all totally separate - which was great as we had a 1 year old baby with us - nobody heard him crying when he woke.
Excellent hotel!
We stayed in 2 bedrooms villa and everything is fabulous! from hotel staff to facilities. It was a wonderful stay for our family. Staff were very attentive and willing to help with everything we needed. The hotel is very close to the beach, only 2 minutes walk. Breakfast was nice too! As for dinner, I would like to recommend the BBQ at villa! It was really good! Staff were cooking, grilling, and preparing everything in our villa. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. I will definitely come back to stay in the Akasha villa again :)
Very relaxing. A small sanctuary with much to do just outside the door.
Quiet, private luxury villa oasis
Amazing place to stay. Photos don't do it justice and the villa looks better in real life. Staff very attentive and lovely.
Fantastic villas 2 mins walk from the beach.
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The staff at the gate to the reception to the cleaning staff were so polite and lovely. They went out of their way to help and actually felt like family! Always smiling and nothing was too much of an effort for them. I miss them already and would definitely recommend them and will be going back. Very honest caring people. The villa was amazing. I couldn't not find any fault with it. The aircon and fans worked. The villa was clean, the fridge and snacks always stocked, and you had the option to buy your own snacks. If you want a touch of luxury and a very enjoyable holiday, this is the place to go!! We stayed in villa 11. Private pool, jacuzzi, 3 bedrooms, huge lounge dining room with modern kitchen.
Family getaway
My 2nd stay in this villa. As good as my 1st visit. The staffs still remember us although our stay are 1 year ago. This time the villa is different from our 1st time. The pool is shaped like a L-shaped and smaller but kids still enjoyed very much. All rooms are big. 2 bedrooms and the jaccuzi are located at 2nd floor. Good food is located near the villa.
A little gem with great service
The villas are very private. Need a bit of TLC. Service was very good and the staff very willing to help. Wifi is quite poor in the villas.
A good hotel with good decoration, but still need to see improvements on F&B
Bali Villa
Hotel is big enough for my family of 10. However the hotel is not properly maintain. Alot of wear n tear and the room cleanliness is poor. The bedsheet can see stain on it. Hope the hotel management will look into.
Very spacious and comfortable!
Staff was very attentive and prompt. Would love to return for another stay.
Great Villa, near the beach... not on the beach.
So close to the best Chic and casual sunset bars. We loved the service and breakfast. The villa is better than the pictures. Book it! We did and loved it!
Nice hotel close to the beach
Love the hotel; it was awesome as the hotel staffs were nice and the place was awesome. The hotel room was huge and the private swimming pool was amazing. The service and the service was amazing. I love this hotel and I will definitely go back again and I highly recommend it.
Nice spacious villa, great pool
Our family recently stayed in Akasha Villa 9 for 6 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Akasha to families with older children. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. You will always be greeted warmly with big smiles. No request is too much trouble and will be dealt with quickly. The villas are spacious with plenty of room for large families. Bathrooms are huge and luxurious, all bedrooms had an ensuite bathroom with large bath and shower and an outside shower. There is also an additional bathroom that is accessible from the living room and pool area with a toilet and shower. The location is great if you want to be away from the bustle of central Seminyak, yet close enough for a quick car trip to get to restaurants and shopping. The villa has a car service that will drop you into Seminyak or to close by restaurants or shops for no charge. You will have to catch a taxi back to the villa but this is quite cheap, there are taxi's everywhere so you won't be waiting. The beds are very big and comfortable. Cleaning of the villas is done daily by a team so they are in and out very quickly and efficiently. The set up of the villa is not great for families with toddlers. The bedrooms are separate/pavilion style which means children have to leave the room into the courtyard area with pool to get to parents room. This is quite common for villas in Bali though, although there are a few that have interconnecting rooms. You will need to organise fencing of the pool.
First villa stay for the family
Our family of 4 have a wonderful stay in The Akasha Villa 3 bedroom, unit 10. It was a very different experience for the family as we usually stay in the hotel during our vacation. My kids enjoy the space and the pool in the villa. The service of the villa is good. The breakfast was prepared in the villa's kitchen which is a stand alone building from the bedrooms which give us a lot of privacy. The staff are generous in the breakfast portion which they will provide more upon request. The only down side is the master bedroom air condition is not cold and the ceiling fan also not working. Therefore it is a bit warm during at night but bearable. There are mosquitoes at night even though the villa provide many insect repellent. My younger kid was bitten from head to toes as his blood attract the most mosquitoes. The toilet has an open concept where there is glass panel that have no curtain or blind. You are unable to close for privacy. I have seen workers from the unit beside us climbing on top of the roof top working where they can have a full view of our toilet. There is no privacy. The villa should have inform us earlier if there is any work during this time so that we can avoid using the toilet when the workers are working on the roof top. 'Lucky or unlucky' I am the one who are using the toilet during this time. Overall we are satisfied in our stay in Akasha villa.
Feel like a king
Wonderful Private Place, Felt like royalty staying at this place. Friendly staff, clean rooms and great private chef for our complementary chef.
Hotel service was impeccable
Staff was so great and attended to all our request efficiently. They really made us feel at home away from home. Definitely a worthwhile stay!
Nice hotel, very relaxing
Did swimming 3 x/ day including evenings, ordered room service and had massages.
Great villa & Fantastic Service
My family was overwhelmed by the villa the moment we stepped in. We were given villa no 10 which we read on the reviews is one of the best in the estate. Indeed we were not disappointed. The private pool is of a generous size and my whole family had many rounds of frisbee games in it. The bedrooms are spacious and welcoming and the outdoor shower is also a treat. The service level of all the staff are top notch, always with a smile and very helpful to all our requests. The breakfast service in the morning is also a delight that we looked forward to every morning. The conditions of the villa is reasonably well kept apart from some of the wooden doors seemed to have warped and hence difficult to open/close properly. The location of the villa is a bit off and walking to the nearby restaurants or shops is a chore since there are no proper pavements and you need to walk single file along a road with vehicles zooming past. It is also very dark and quiet outside the villa after nightfall. Do check out the naughty nuri's restaurant which is 5 min walk away. The pork ribs are superb. We keep going back for more. Overall, it is a fantastic stay and we will certainly be coming back here again!
spacious villa near to the beach.
overall good experience and easy to get around. the bedroom was big and bathroom and kitchen facilities were awesome.
Spacious and deluxe accommodtion
Things are all well for the villa except they don't reply emails before the trip. Emails were sent asking about airport pick up, arranging in-villa meals etc but there was no reply from the hotel.
Nice hotel, good staff...
my family very enjoy but the beach near by no very clean.
Great service, some problems
The villa was beautiful and we were initially very happy with it. However, the AC in one of the bedrooms was out of order and after numerous attempts and five uncomfortable nights, we were moved to another villa. Also in the fiurst villa, the pool filters were not on which lead to some fairly murky water. At all times, the stafff was impeccably friendly, courteous and prompt and I have nothing but good words to offer for them.
Nice hotel. The staff were amazing.
We had a great time at the akasha just abit out of the way.
Rooms clean and comfortable, staff friendly.
We arrived very early and the staff were very accommodating in getting us into our room as soon as possible. We booked a 2 bedroom villa. The villa was clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent. We had breakfast cooked in our room each morning and complementary afternoon tea which we all enjoyed.
Best Customer Service ever
Everyone in the resort were extra nice and helpful. Kudos to the service staff for making our stay so enjoyable!
feels like home!
We rented a one bedroom villa with private pool. The villa was beyond our expectations. Fully happy with their service.
Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless;
Massive paradise
The villa was massive, and kept very clean. It felt like coming back to heaven every time we arrive back in our villa! The only downside I guess was that our villa was next to the road, and you could hear the traffic late at night. We loved the breakfast which was cooked in our kitchen, though it lacks variety if you are going to stay for more than a few nights. The pool was also nice, though the rain kind of wrecked it in our third night there!
Facilities: Tired, Old; Value: Could be better;
Relaxing in Bali
We had a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and polite. Everything was done for us. The villas were well appointed. The kids thought it was great having a private pool to swim in. It was relaxing for us not to have to keep an eye on them.
Simply amazing!!!
Amazing villa, very attentive staff, so helpful. We just adored it here. The staff at Akasha made our stay even better!
A beautiful Luxury Hideaway
We stayed in the Akasha for one night whilst on a world cruise. From the moment we arrived the staff were amazingly gracious and helpful with all of our requests, nothing was too much trouble. Even a problem with the booking (not the fault of the hotel) was sorted out in an instant. When we first walked into the Villa I couldn't believe my eyes. we had a 4 bedroom villa and it was absolutely beautiful. Set around a stunning pool which was a lot bigger than expected, the rooms were all luxurious and very clean, every room featured an en-suite bathroom with an outdoor and indoor shower. The room service food was all great and very reasonably priced. Breakfast made in our kitchen was wonderful and I can highly recommend the Spa services. We all had various massages either in our rooms or by the pool and everyone was very happy with the service. The hotel is a little bit out of the way but this is actually a plus point for me as you are within 10 minutes of the centre of Seminyak but far enough away so that the hotel surroundings are very peaceful. If you do want o experience the nightlife you will need to get a taxi but they are very cheap and reception will be more than happy to call one for you. If you're looking for a luxury retreat in Bali then this is place, I will definitely be staying here again.
Family trip
My family and i just returned from a fantastic trip to Bali. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa that was everything we could have hoped for and more. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The en suites were equally spacious and well appointed, including some local wildlife, to be expected in an open style bathroom. The breakfast was filling and delicious, it was a nice touch having it prepared in the villa. As for the other food in the villa it was nice but got a little repetitive although there some great restaurants within walking distance. My wife went to the "Bali Deli" famous for their pastries and deserts as indicated on the Akasha website, not worth a visit for their famous pastries and deserts. We took our 10 month old son and found the villa to more baby friendly than our own home. The living area is huge with nice big couches for lounging. The kitchen was a massive plus when traveling with little ones. The pool was a great size and our three boys enjoyed it immensely.
Facilities: Balinese influenced; Value: Affordable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Clean; Easy to find - and money changer, mini marts, massage places and a few small shops within a 5 minute walk - and Naughty Nuri's ribs..
heavenly retreat
The Akasha Bali is heaven. We spent a few days there in a lovely, spacious suite--all too few days-- and every aspect of the holiday was perfect. The facilities offer the most privacy I've ever experienced in a hotel. This is the place to get away from it all, or to celebrate a special occasion, in our case my husband's 60th. It's isolated from the crowds and offers fantastic service; the entire staff was tremendously kind and accommodating. Joseph was particularly helpful. I wanted to purchase a robe for my husband as a memento of this holiday; although the robes were out of stock, the staff went out of its way to find one for me. Lovely breakfast made in one's private dining room every morning, and a refreshing to-die-for cold drink on arrival. Beautiful landscaping--the pool area was gorgeous, frangipani blossoms falling into the water, a gentle, peaceful fountain at the far end. The architect must have been a genius, blending the inside and outside in perfect harmony. I loved the outdoor bath. You will not regret this. We look back on the experience with longing and nostalgia. Just as a note, one has to leave the premises for lunch and dinner if you don't want room service food; it will require a cab, but lots of good restaurants within a cab ride's distance.
villa avec piscine privée , 500 M2 pour un couple, un espace très confortable
Very kind staffs there I had a good time
Vraiment top !
Vraiment super !
The staff couldn’t be more helpful and the accommodation was lovely and spacious. It is next door to a beach club and the surrounding streets are very busy.
