Had the Moroccan scrub and massage - felt wonderful but I was a little worried about all the water wasted. The room was also a bit cool - might have been nice for it to be lightly steamy (like a mild sauna).
I always love to stay at Sea Cliff when I'm in Dar. Wonderful staff and excellent location!
Focus on the small details
Room was spacious and comfortable. However the lack of any water pressure or hot water was very annoying. Also, only one or two TV channels ever worked.
I didn’t like inaccessibility to the beach.
It is an absolutely magical spot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The inly slight criticism that I have is that the building itself is a little dated and there are always problems with TV signal. I would not mind if there was not TV in my room but as the rooms have a TV, my expectation is that is should work.
No beach
There was not hot water in room
Very satisfied with my viait at this hotel. Peaceful and serene.
Everything was very good.
Not good
Very noisy room, couldn't sleep. Hotel is too old, needs a fresh up. Very disappointed.
Everything was wonderful, staff was outstanding
Nice hotel
Nice hotel. They responded to every need. The Indian restaurant is really good and the bar on the water was a great hangout.
What I liked most about the property was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. The grounds are well kept and the Dining room and meals were very good.
Best hotel in Dar es Salaam
Very accommodating and friendly service Thank I so much for a fabulous stay Best hotel in Dar
The property was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful concerning the property. It would have been nice if they had knowledge of museums and events in their area and cost of activities. It was very easy for them to call car service is for it and you can walk around the corner to a shopping center which had nice eateries and stores.
There’s no hot water
booked and paid for sea view room but city view given, no refund the difference
No hot water the first night. AC was not working the 2nd night.
Wonderful stay. ..loved the pool
Amazing location
One of the best Marriott properties that I have stayed at recently. The front desk staff is exemplary and very well trained in hospitality. The room service food was superb and delish. The king bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the 18th floor was gorgeous!
The room is clean and the check in process went easy. There are options around for restaurants and plenty of parking space.
Over-priced
3 stars service. 4 stars facilities . 5 stars pricing
Poor breakfast. Waiters are unfriendly. 3 stars service in general.
Great hotel, very friendly & helpful staff!
The hotel
Great place, amazing staff and the whole experience combined provides a relaxing environment
Room was clean and comfortable and all the facilities were up to date. Breakfast buffet was not as extensive as in the past but probably has to do with current health situation. Had a good run in the casino as well which always makes for a nice trip.
Very comfortable stay, courteous and
Sea Cliff is Incredible
My airbnb in dar es salaam was not very nice so i booked 1 night at Sea Cliff. I loved it so much I booked 2 more nights!
Great views
Amazing views from the pool and bar areas. Service is ok, but were quite sexiest towards my girlfriend. I had to insist on her fair treatment. My room was very pricey for what it was and without breakfast - industrial scenes outside Of the window. I have got mixed feelings about the entire experience, but would recommend you try to stay there for a night or two. One warning - the bar is full of prostitutes in the evening.
Overall stay
I enjoyed my travel at Sea cliff Hotel, I was a bit hesitant about staying at this hotel because of the pictures I saw online, but I ended up loving the room and the hotel. For the rooms, I stayed in a deluxe room; the room was lovely, I liked the decor, the toilet however was smaller than I expected. I wish they improved their TV and channel list and availability. I wish the breakfast was a buffet rather than A la carte , but I guess they are minimizing food sharing due to COVID-19 impact. Overall, the stay was pleasant, I loved the room, the service was exceptional, It was quiet and nice. The scenery is gorgeous especially if you seat by the Karambezi restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.
The workers and the staff. They are so friendly and helpful
The bathroom was terrible and I got infection as a result. The water was filling the whole place due to poor drainage. The restaurants are excellent. I didn't like the smell in the bedsheet
The staff were fantastic especially Anna the Hotel Ambassador who was always with a smile.
Disappointed
I was disappointed with my stay at the Sea Cliff. I booked a deluxe sea facing room, when I got to my room, I checked and could not see the sea from room. I was directly above the roof and trees. I called to the reception to ask about this and if I could be switched rooms, and they said no. I felt ripped off. I wanted to order room service, when I called they weren't answering. The reception told me they would have the room service call me back. Half an hour later, still no call back. When I called back, same thing: reception said they would call me back. After waiting for 10-15 minutes, I have up. I was getting ready for bed in the bathroom, when I heard someone banging on my door shouting 'room service': instead of calling me back, they thought it would be better to come get my order in person, past midnight!!! Very disappointed with my stay, will most definitely not stay there again.
Second time, locations is great staff super friendly
The hotel is with a few words just stunning, an excellent stay
Beautiful sea view and nice Restaurant. The breakfast is very good.
The setting is relaxing and there are good restaurants on the property and within 5 or 10 minutes by car. Rooms are clean, air conditioning works well and the property is well cared for. The gym has modern equipment. There is also a grocery market and shopping within easy walking distance. I would definitely stay here again if going to Dar Es Salaam.
Great place to stay
Good hotel and location. The 2 restaurants are very good and a good clean pool. was staying for a business trip so didn’t get time to explore the local area.
The staff were always ready to help for anything that \i needed done. I lost my luggage and they stepped in to get it from the airport.
location is calm and superb , very impressing indeed
Great place. Nice pool. Good food. Clean. Nice staff.
Great room and service, don't expect much else
The room was fantastic- clean and well maintained. I could not hear outside noises through my door. The concierge was extremely helpful and arranged several trips for us around the area. The pool and restaurants were OK- the dozens of ravens that use the pool to bathe in pooped on my coworker twice in 20 minutes; and the restaurant (cafe) served small portions of varying quality. The breakfast was excellent however. For comparison, I had just stayed at the nearby Slipway- which had much better pool, restaurants, and surrounding areas; but whose rooms were sub-par and noisy.
I was always wanting to stay at Sea Cliff, but the time was not just right. Our birthdays (me and my wife) Anny was then the perfect occasion. Well, i would say Sea Cliff stands as the best seaside hotel in Dar Es Salaam. I loved the new interiors, quality modern furniture with the African touch. Very nice breakfast buffet at Karambezi. The pool is so clean and private. I would definitely come back.
Excellent hotel
Hotel was having a few of the sea view rooms refurbished but it did not effect my stay. Both restraunt swerve excellent quality and priced very reasonably. There was always sun loungers available around the pool and the pool was kept clean and at a good temperature. Overall an excellent hotel, good location and friendly staff.
Great stay at Seacliff Hotel Dec 2018
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Seacliff hotel, everything was as advertised on the website with friendly staff, great airconditioned rooms and lovely gardens and pool area facing the ocean. William from the Karambezi Cafe deserves a special thank you for accommodating us on the 31st without a reservation. We will definitely be visiting this establishment again and soon!
From pungent to perfect
Our stay was very pleasant over all. Our first room had some issues with the AC and a bit of a smell, but the hotel management remedied that by moving us to another room, which was perfect!
We are repeat customers and we’ve always had a great experience here! Excellent customer service, beautiful facilities, and great food on-site with incredible scenery. Watching the sunrise through a sea view window is worth a visit by itself! The only critique I’d have is that the hot water doesn’t get very hot in the shower/bath, but you do have a kettle available if need be. Besides that, this is a hotel I’d recommend for a true luxury experience!
