If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and relax, book the opera/ red hotel. Amazing stuff and nice views. I will be back soon.
I love the hotel. We started with a warm welcome from the front desk Mohamed. The room has s clean . The breakfast was good and the atmosphere was excellent. Nouredine, Abdesamad, kanza, zineb, Fatima zahra ( to be honest all I forgot their name), treat everyone with respect and kindness. They all go extra mile to provide an excellent service. I will be back soon. Thank you

Nice hotel but staff not trained
At check-in, the agent did not inquire if I wanted to make a deposit and instead chose to empty the minibar, assuming I would consume items without paying. This behavior was unprofessional. The correct procedure is to ask if I wish to make a deposit and, if I decline, to charge me for any extras directly. Instead, she made an erroneous judgment and chose to empty the minibar. I found her actions offensive and believe her conduct should be addressed. Throughout my stay, I did not feel comfortable. Additionally, at check-out, the agent held me at the reception to check the room. The way I was treated was not professional. The staff should be properly trained in customer service to ensure guests feel at home and welcomed.
The food was great . The pool and service were fantastic. The room was above comfortable accept the air conditioning could be stronger. Overall great experience and just the right touch before going home on an early morning flight.
Every single staff member I came in contact was so nice, that made a huge difference in my trip
Everything kept up. Nice clean swimming pool, fitness center. Amazing breakfast cooked to order, excellent staff. Right in the center of everything
Nice Hôtel conveniently located adjacent to train station
Nice hotel with breakfast. We stayed on a hot day and the air conditioner could not keep up. The room was warm but bearable.
Avoid this hotel.
Do not stay at this hotel. They are not to be trusted. They stole my money.
V clean, lovely pool area. Large room with good sized balcony. A bit of a walk from the main souk atea
Great service, food, and pool
Great service, great breakfast options, and wonderful time at the pool.
All good except vegetarian food.
Great hotel
Ideal location opposite the main train station. Room was large with balcony providing lots of room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic.
Great stay
Great stay super friendly service. Rooms are great quality.
Good facility, great location, helpful staff, arranging very good tour for us
Really nice hotel in good location, however the policy of not having cool aircon on until end February meant sleeping was very difficult as room was 27°. Having the window open to try to cool down was extremely noisy
The Red Hotel
Have used this hotel a couple of times now, service always great. Rooms are generous size and clean. Nice breakfast options available.
Excellent breakfast
This hotel is ideal. Central to city centre and access to all areas of the city. Great staff, rooms always cleaned and an awesome breakfast. I would say the safe in the room is not stuck to the wall or the wardrobe so not very safe in that respect, but overall 10 out of 10 for me.
The best Hotel in Marrakesh
Best service Top quality food Helpful staff
Ok
Terrible reception
Great renovation!!
The hotel’s renovation is wonderful! Staff were friendly and helpful. Only one Robles was air conditioning did not work well so room was hot. Otherwise we would recommend it and will stay here again!!
Swimming pool
Mid range. Location handy to city
The hotel shares reception, pool and restaurant with Opera Plaza. The breakfast has a good variety but seating was dirty on quite a few areas. The pool restaurant staff are obnoxious and object to you sitting in some of the areas u less you order food, which is overpriced. There are a lot of reasonable restaurants near by but the hotel does not allow you to bring any food or drinks into the building. The gym is bare minimum. Work going on so a lot of noise, we were told we’d be offered another room the following day, but never saw manager again. They charge you 500md per day for a deposit which they don’t tell you about when you book! Pictures look nicer than it actually is. Mid range 35min walk to Jama ElFina and 15 to shopping centre
Friendly nightshift staff, I am a night owl and was mainly up at this time. Breakfast was amazing everyday.
The room was OK. The hallway looked dirty and you have to enter through the Opera Hotel. The room was alright but the bed was as hard as a rock, TV was snowy and the Wifi was spotty at best. It wasn't the worst place we've stayed but it was definitely overpriced for what it was.
Unfortunately the busy road made sleep difficult, fortunately we had ear plugs , the wi-fi was intermittent in our room . The majority of the staff were very good
Just a great place to stay
The lobby for the red hotel is closed, so you check in through the adjoining hotel. As such, I felt isolated and uncomfortable in the unserved area of the hotel. The hotel is outdated and loud from street noises. There are no dining options in the surrounding area. The hotel offered an absolutely amazing appearing and smelling buffet for Muslims breaking the Ramadan fast, but a pedestrian and small buffet for other travelers. I also could not check in before 3 pm despite it being obvious that the hotel was far from full. Would not recommend
Little bit confusing to find but finding my room was even more confusing especially after travelling a long way and being tired. I even used the wrong lift, not knowing it was for staff. Could do with more signs to make it easier, same with breakfast. There was an issue with my shower also but was in a rush checking out so didn’t mention it. Staff were great though!
Great hotel
Great hotel across street from train- only street side rooms but can be in side street vs front which is much noisier- is part of opera hotel and you have to emter thru that entrance- best AC we had in Morrocco- good but crowded bfast
Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay at the red hotel. Staff were accommodating and welcoming. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was terrific, genuinely, it will set you up for most of the day. It's even convinced me to have omelettes nearly every day for breakfast now back home. The only real downside was the pool area blocked off as it was under significant renovation. This was not advertised in advance, which I understand why not, but I do think it's a bit cheeky to not make this known when people are booking and looking for hotels. Also, the shower was a complete mystery as the shower floor quickly flooded making it impossible to enjoy the shower for more than 30 seconds at a time. It was a very convenient location, with taxis always passing by and accessible and the nearby downtown very walkable this time of year. Just be careful to not overpay for transport. I would recommend however for most circumstances.
Swimming pool was under construction
The breakfast was very good
Good location, handy if you are planning to travel around Morocco as the train station is directly opposite. Supermarket and restaurants nearby. Walk to the main square is about 45mins or 10mins by taxi. Hotel is quite basic but clean, rooms are spacious. Facilities are shared with sister hotel Opera Plaza hotel which is a much nicer hotel. Breakfast is decent with several options.
Good location, good price
Hotel is in a great location opposite Marrakech train station and rooms was clean and of reasonable size. Oddly had to use the adjoining hotel entrance but reception staff kindly printed off our boarding passes for us and breakfast was great.
The hotel restaurant has limited choices yet delicious food. Hotel is undergoing renovation while I was there, but place is clean and presentable.
The site promises a swimming pool but this is under construction (jan 2023). We did get a room last minute for a highly reduced rate, but the pool was still promised on the site here. Red hotel has windows on the outside to the road. Opera hotel has more expensive rooms with balconies with view on the pool. But it’s the same hotel, weirdly enough. So you get some of the luxury of the more expensive hotel, such as an amazing breakfast buffet, all staff wearing suits. But the Room are more like a 3 star or less. It looks ok and was clean, but an unpleasant smell. Matras and pillows are very hard. Quite a lot of Noise from the street, even with the double window closed. Depending on the prize they ask this may be a good deal if you need to be close to the train station and supratours long distance busses. Also close to the airport. You will be in the modern part of town, plenty of restaurants within 15 min walk and modern western clothing shops. The old center with the markets is a 45 minute walk or a short taxi ride.
New Year Stay 22/23
Background: stayed 3 nights over new year 22/23 with the family. Hotel is twinned with The Opera Plaza Hotel, but we stayed in the Red Hotel Section. The Good: friendly staff, clean rooms, good service and housekeeping, wonderful buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs, Morocco’s style pancakes and bread made on demand, pool area is fabulous and you could easily spend hours there. Location was good with most tourist attractions a 5 to 10 min cab ride away. The venue has a bowling alley and a restaurant with international football shown every day, it is not rowdy and is a nice atmosphere to watch a match. Close to Menara Mall and some western fast food places. The not so good: the red hotel is a bit dated, carpets in common areas are a bit frayed and the room stayed in was very basic with uncomfortable pillows and facing the street was noisy. Overall: this is an upper 3 star / lower 4 star hotel. I would rate 7 out of 10. I think most people would be happy with a short stay at this hotel for a reasonable price.
Great Location! Great Food! No AC in winter months.
Not a great experience
Unfortunately it was not a pleasant end as on check out they told is that one Bath towel missing and we have to pay 500 dirham for missing towel, we told them on our first day we saw 3 bath towels but after that their housekeeping team kept only two towels but they didn't believe us and asked us to pay 500 dirham. I refused to pay as that was not our fault.Although I offered to check our luggage. They wasted our 40 minutes and due to this we were late the airport. Their toilet flushing system was terrible as well. Breakfast was lovely.
Its in need of updating but okay for a one night stay. Close to supratours and the train station thats right across the road. Convenient for that.. 2 min walk and tour off on your next adventure
Overall a good hotel and found out that they share their property with Opera Plaza hotel next door where we needed to check in. Was not really guided to the room so we had to fine our room as we ended up in Operas end of the hotel and not the red hotel part. Breakfast was good.
Someone at the Reception at the check in were not friendly at all. And rude
Good
V good hotel for every thing
Everything is good 👍
Worst Ever
Terrible. - booked 3 weeks ago but put in wrong day - emailed Rex immediately and also Hotels.com to change - brief exchange of emails and then nothing Emailed about 4 / 5 times and got no reply apart from welcoming me on the first email Will not use Red or Hotels.com again Booked another hotel through another provider
The room wasn’t that big but it was ok
The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated (Opera Plaza side), it was quite during the night and also during the day, the housekeeping does an amazing job keeping everything neat and clean. The breakfast was nice, and had different options. Overall I would stay here again in the future and I would recommend it to others. -Ihsane
Staff very very friendly and helpful. In the courtyard the food was superb! The nite time atmosphere was beautiful. We couldn’t have got a better room at this rate anywhere. Room a bit overdue for a makeover but I’m not complaining.
Disappointing stay.
Dissapointed with this hotel. Checkin was not friendly but restaurant and othe rstaff were very helpful and friendly. The room is advertised as with air conditioning. However be aware this means they heat the room from November to the end of April. When we stayed it was 30C and our room was unbearable. Si we had to sleep with the window open outside the station and on a busy road. Not a good night's sleep!! The shower was sliped and slippery ....we slipped. The room was clean.
red
Nice location. Good breakfast. Nice swimming pool. Food spa.
Very courteous and helpful staff. Rooms were cleaned every day, beds were very comfortable meaning a good nights sleep. Lovely range of food for breakfast.
Great location, fantastic breakfast, almost everything was good.
VEry nice staff, excellent location, very clean. I would highly recommend it
Couples trip away
Hotel was a little older and quite basic. We had a few problems and had to move rooms several times but the staff were amazing and helped us without any trouble until we found a solution. Very lovely people working here
Friendly Staff but majority do not speak English. Property is very clean, it needs back up facility when the cooler does not work during winter months. Also having electric fans would be helpful when cooler not working. Hotel should also keep printed form of information/lesflets for tourists.
Location, parking, cleanliness, good service, breakfast was good apart from omelettes and fried eggs being chargeable.
Nice location, nice room, friendly staff - overall very good and would recommend.
We stayed here for 4 nights it was a beautiful hotel. The buffet breakfast was AMAZING! Made to order omelettes, fresh Moroccan tea, homemade fresh donuts, fresh juice stand etc! The area has a few restaurants and the train station is right next door.
Nice accommodations for the price. Friendly staff, clean rooms
Nice clean hotel with friendly staff & great location too.
Good breakfast
Slightly run down. Excellent service from staffs. Breakfast was really good. Value for money
the hotel itself was okay but some of the staff were very rude especially this lady who sit on the front desk. i forgot her name. me and my wife felt like we wernt welcome. sweeming pool is huge but if you're a muslim you may not be able to use it as it only allows bikinis. restaurant service was poor. some staff were great others were very rude.
Ok
The locks in the bathroom was broken No internet on last day Didn’t ask if you want anything else Didn’t offer what was available in hotel
Marrakech get away
The only thing disappointing was the time we had to wait to check in, are flight was early morning arrived at hotel around 11 30 am, was told we could not check in till 2pm our paperwork said 1 30pm. Other guess arrived after us but was allowed to check in was not impressed. But apart from hotel was very nice in good location.
Hotel location was great as it was walkable from the train station. Front desk was not at all friendly. Didn’t had a good experience. I was sick and asked them to extend our check out time but they didn’t gave us any consideration. They were very rude
Great hotel for price and location
Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, this a very decent hotel with nice room and a washroom, closesness to train station and resturants and a nice pool, looks great at night.
Good spot for the money. Fair attention to detail. Narrow food offerings and narrower bar stocjs. Good family hotel...excellent location. Next to National Theater and train station. 20 min stroll to markets and major historic attractions. I prefer the outer rooms overlooking the traffic circle off Avenue Hassan II. Bustling modern shopping a step away. Minutes from RAK. Good spot!
Highly recommended.
This is a lovely place to stay. It has a beautiful pool and surrounding area. It was spotless. It’s very hand if you are arriving by train as it’s just a few metres across the street. It’s about a 2km Walk to the old town.
Rudeness to another level
Hotel seemed ok, but staff were so rude that we actually ended up booking another hotel, luckily we were able to find another place, otherwise we would have been stranded.
Pool was great, really spacious with lots of sun beds. Great location to with lots of busses to the town
Good
It was a good stay but the I’m not happy with the smoking every where within the breakfast and pool area. I’m Non smoker my family and I didn’t enjoy much of the hotel facilities.
The staff was excellent, provided good service , our room was very quiet ueit, nice balcony overlooking the grand railways station. Kids very happy as McDonald and KFC across the road. Main Eden shopping centre was 10 minutes walk. Altogether great location , the room was spacious and clean. I would stay there again, No kettle or iron in the room , but all else well and good
Good location. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Internet connection not very good.
Great location Beautiful rooms- we got to stay in the Opera Hotel however- not the Red Hiotel
I mean we technically didn't stay at the Red Hotel, they change us to the next door Hotel (Opera). It was a bit confusing at the beginning but the Opera staff was really helpful. The facilities are OK, the room furniture has had better days but overall is acceptable, the tub was super high and hard to get in. The buffet breakfast was nice. The check out is a bit awkward because you have to wait for someone to check the mini bar before you go.
Good hotel with everything you need!
If I go back to Marrakech, I will stay in this hotel again. The hotel has everything you need. Most of the staff are very friendly! I enjoyed my stay!
The friendly staff who were always willing to help.
The thermostat on our shower was faulty, there was no control over the water temperature and on 2 occasions I nearly scolded myself. The issue was reported to the management on 4 occasions during our 4 day stay but no action taken. Apart from this our stay was good, housekeeping do a good job and the beds are conformable. Good selection and setting for breakfast. The location of the hotel is good with good transport links. The location is fantastic, across the road to the train station with good transport links.
Red hotel , the best stay we had in marrakech
It was absolutely mind blowing, can’t wait to take my family back, already planning on booking next year😃
Fairly central, some restaurants in the surroundings. Taxis within a few seconds. I was always quoted a fare twice or even 3 times the norm. Rooms were clean and fairly large for a triple room. No kettle in the room. You should bring your own.
Amazing hotel and staff
Was a great stay. Hotel was very clean room was ideal for us and kept cleaned daily by staff. Reception very helpful
Great location if you are catching the train to another part of Morocco that is right across the street. Clean and comfortable.
The swimming pool was freezing. Staff all courteous and friendly
Rooms were cleaned regularly, any additional toiletries that were required were stocked up immediately. Service was exceptional. 2 people in particular(Fatima Zahra & Mohammed) definitely made the stay more enjoyable. Lovely, helpful staff. Breakfast was ok, feel like there wasn’t much of a variety but the patisseries were nice
Very good I enjoyed
Great!
Perfect place to stay to catch Supratours bus! WiFi worked great in our room.. breakfast was free and included and right next to train and 2 min walk to bus station for Supratours
Fantastic location with a lot of help from reception when required. Rooms were lovely and WiFi was superb.
I generally did not find the staff particularly welcoming or helpful (the breakfast staff being the exception to this). Not even when I had to be in a wheelchair in sever pain was help offered and I still had to request multiple times for assistance. They also charge for every slight additional, including a kettle in room.
Seasonal Air Conditioning. Cooling is only available from April 1st......I arrived March 14th and it was 29 celsius....too hot!!
Loved every second of it ! Hotel was as expected. Staff lovely and helpful. Beautiful hotel. Food was lovely. Only complaint would be that the gym is outdated and only machine with weights was broken. Otherwise amazing stay.
Red hot hotel!!!
Clean hotel, friendly helpful staff, excellent location, breakfast really good. Nice pool. Great amenities. Helpful reception. Halima at reception great as well as house keeper Nora. Lady who does the warm rotis at breakfast is lovely (sorry forgot name). Hotel pictures accurate on site.
Very friendly staff, excellent hotel and swim/bar areas, very clean. Quite a lot to eat during breakfast time, also really nice restaurants within the hotel vicinity. we booked our tour through the hotel and was quite hassle free. The tour guides collected us on time from the hotel. Hotel is situated in the new town, local Taxis from the hotel can take you to the old town/markets. There is lots of restaurants and shopping malls next to the Hotel about 20 mins walk, Locals are friendly and bonus with the Weather too. Really will return back again :))
Shower has a mind of its own but manageable & breakfast options are limited. Overview still a decent hotel in a great location close to most places. Pool was cold & pool side food options are limited.
Great location, close to everything with a McDonald’s and kfc close by. Would definitely come back!
