Very helpful, hospitable and accommodating staff! Anything that we needed or wanted was taken care of. Breakfast was delicious! The hallways were a little noisy at times. Rooms could use a little updating. Ours had ants. The bed was extremely hard.
This is a quaint and lovely hotel. The price was reasonable. The accomodations were perfect for our needs. Super friendly place. Very laid back. Great for walking and not in the center of the hustle and bustle. There is parking about a block away. they go out of their way to be helpful. Great breakfast!
Excellent service. Lovely and helpful staff.
Hotel is very old and neighborhood is very dirty.
The staff is amazing sinhelpful. The breakfast is great as well!
Excelente en todos los servicios
Very friendly service commentable approach.
Adorable little hotel
A very small hotel but sweet staff. Fairly convenient location, walkable to restaurants and shops but about .5 miles away via hills. Some windows and doors aren’t functioning properly but a great breakfast and very clean.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
The staff here was exceptional! Not sure I’ve ever had better customer service! The accommodations were clean and comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was superb. Highly recommend.
Stayed 3 nights. Hotel was difficult to find unless you take a taxi to drop you off directly. Uber works. Apparently Google does not recognize the hotel itself, but an entire community named Shiadu on the opposite side of the hotel. Be mindful of this. The hotel is on top of a steep hill, you can walk up, taxi, or tram halfway, Hotel noisy, you could her other guest showering, flushing their toilet, getting off the elevator. Hotel would benefit from soundproof walls. Breakfast was the same daily, be mindful of some staff watching you closely. Bed was comfortable, shower ok, soap dispenser did not work.
Everything was perfect
Quaint hotel in a good walkable neighbood, super close to all of the action, nice local vibe with local every day people Staff was super accomodating and friendly, would come back, great breakfast options as well Dont bring a car,not needed..
Very small room with limited place to put luggage. Room next to courtyard so noisy when other guests around. Need to Uber to and from place as very steep walk from any transport hub. Breakfast was nice as was the room that held it.
The staff at this hotel were outstanding- very kind and accommodating and truly wanted you to enjoy Lisbon. The bed was very comfortable and the entire room very clean and modern. It was in walking distance of major attractions and in a lovely street. Not in a busy square so very quiet at night. Would love to stay again.
Breakfast very good, great view from the open space
Fantastic stay! The staff were always so friendly and helpful! Our room was the perfect size with a very comfy bed, the breakfast selection was ideal and the location was perfect for shops and trains and sightseeing. We would definitely recommend, and also return. Thank you :)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant down the street called Vinho Verde is amazing. The only issues with this hotel is you can hear noise and footsteps through the ceiling and the AC made periodic buzzing noises which kept us up. Breakfast is basic but not bad.
The breakfast makes the place above all others. Yummy food and accessible coffee and water all day. Everything was accessible location wise while being tucked away on a quiet street.
The guesthouse was decorated beautifully, felt luxurious. Our room had everything we needed and a large bathroom with amazing views across the city. The staff couldnt do enough to help us. The only snag is it a very steep hill to get to it but taxis are so cheap we always got one on our return to the hotel.
Great place to stay in Lisbon
Great hotel. Quiet street.
Very nice place. Very helpful staff. On top of a hill, lots of stairs in you're walking. A bit confusing if you're driving. Nice rooftop patio w views of the city.
I'd say this is more of a three-star property than a four. The breakfast room was incredibly cramped, with no counter space to set down your plates as you are selecting your breakfast, requiring multiple trips backwards and forwards between the buffet area and your table. The coffee from the machine was awful. The design of the tap in the sink was very impractical, extending so far out that every use resulted in a flooded floor and a slip hazard. The "blackout" curtains didn't cover the window. Most bizarrely, I could hear the toilets of the rooms around me every time they flushed - and loudly - causing a constant cacophony. The "king" bed was two single mattresses pushed together. More positively, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the hotel's main asset. But this isn't enough for me to recommend the place, and indeed I'm surprised that it has such glowing reviews.
Inside is very authentic and simple
Great Hotel, amazing staff
Amazing hotel. The staff was fantastic and always eager to help and give recommendations about what to do or where to eat in Lisboa. The breakfast included is great and appreciated and they give you a daily bottle of water and half a bottle of wine as courtesy which was very nice. The room was always clean and the terrace has a beautiful view of the city. 10/10 Service. However the area surrounding the hotel is not the best, so that's something to take into account specially if returning late at night. It is also in a very steep hill but that's everything in Lisboa.
Excellent service from check in to check out. Really good breakfast choice, both food and coffee /teas. Friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeble staff, nothing too much trouble. Loved the roof terrace and the city view.
Nice hotel and friendly, helpful staff! Only problem is climbing uphill to the hotel at the end of the day!
Great all around: very friendly staff, great location, great breakfast.
OK
The staff was extremely super nice and very professional, they went out of their way to answer all questions and help with whatever we need especially Denise
The absolute best staff. Natalia took such good care of us. A 3 day stay in Lisbon and we ate at wonderful restaurants, saw the most inspiring Fado show and enjoyed a tuktuk tour around Alfama. All of this arranged through Natalia. The daily breakfast was simply delicious. Such a variety of fresh delicious foods. Some day we hope to return. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Great
Our First Choice Hotel in Lisbon
We had a wonderful stay at the Quinta Colina. True, the room was a little compact but very comfortable and clean. There were some nice touches like a free bottle of wine and mineral water in our room and we had a nice view from our balcony of the old city to the sea. The service was impeccable. Before arriving I asked for car parking advice and we were directed to the underground Campo Matires de Patria car park 5 minutes walk from the hotel. If you have a hire car , don’t be afraid. The car park is easily found and cheap especially if you book via the Telpark app. Upon arriving we were greeted by Rubben who was so welcoming. We arrived on a Sunday night when all the nearby restaurants were closed but the hotel now has an arrangement with a first class food delivery service which Rubben arranged. We should say here that all the hotel staff were helpful and hospitable. The breakfast buffet was superb. Overall a highly recommended hotel.
Very Happy Couple!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience! Wish our stay was longer. This boutique hotel rates 5 stars in all areas. We live an hour away from Lisbon but plan on staying here again so that we can experience the beauty of Lisbon.
Great location, handy to everything but small room
Small room. The room smelt very strongly of bleach when we arrived and even though we tried to air it, it made us feel unwell by the night time and almost asked to be moved to another room. Nice and handy to everything and they told us all about the local areas and where to find the funicular. Hill the hotel is on is steep But definitely doable and the funicular is only 2 minutes away. Rooftop terrace is great for views of Lisbon and the castle
I was greeted well and the staff members were very friendly and polite. The hotel is in a nice area near center city for shopping and dining. Lovely and charming. The bathroom had newly upgraded features. The view from the terrace is beautiful and breathtaking. Lovely staff, location and architecture.
Front staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extraordinary: the perfect start to your day. Hotel is near the metro and local attractions. The room itself was kind of small but the bed was comfortable and had a modern updated bathroom. I would certainly stay again.
A
Lovely staff and good location!
My stay at Quita Collina was absolutely delightful. Situated conveniently on a hill, the location offered stunning views of the surrounding area, including a charming church right in front of the guesthouse. The room itself was spacious, providing ample space to move around comfortably. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast offered in the morning. It was a delightful treat to start the day. Overall, my experience at Quita Collina was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay in the heart of Lisbon.
The hotel is great, full of character, great rooms, great facilities, including a lovely breakfast. The staff are very helpful and always have a smile. Of course being Lisbon there are lots of hills and the hotel is on top of one, which means a climb up to it after dinner. The area is a little run down but is very close to the centre. We didnt feel in danger or nervous at any stage. All in all highly recommended but maybe not for the elderly or lazy
We had a nice stay; Quinta has amazing staff, it is close to everything & breakfasts were great
I felt welcome the moment i walked through the door. The staff were. amazing and helpful, and they had greeat recommendations on what to do in the area. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The room itself was tiny, but i had a great view of the city. The ac worked exceptionally wel. Be aware that you will climb many hills and stairs to get to the hotel.
Clean, decent breakfast, cozy.
Staff were excellent at the property, very friendly and ready to give recommendations at any point. The reception service is open 24 hours a day, making it handy if you need to contact someone. Room was very tidy and kept in immaculate condition. Breakfast spread was okay, could have done with a continued restock of all items. Free of charge hot drinks are available to guests readily during duration of stay. Hotel is located on top of steep hill, so maybe would not be the best choice for someone with accessibility needs or mobility issues. Parking was very busy on road, was recommended a 24 hour parking lot for €18 only 5 min walk away. Would recommend overall!
Terrific Boutique Hotel
The Quinta Colina is a very pretty boutique hotel which is excellent value. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and very helpful. The breakfasts are superb and there is a coffee/tea machine for guests to use throughout the day. There is an accessible terrace with fabulous views over Lisbon for guests to enjoy. The rooms are spotless and the bed is very comfortable indeed. The only negative was that the drain from the shower would become smelly after being used. Besides this, my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful and quirky.
Small room, but clean and comfortable. Lovely staff, exceptional breakfast. Hotel is full of character’ I shall stay again.
This is a lovely boutique hotel perfect for a city break. The breakfast option is great and well worth the money to start your day. Just be aware this hotel is up a steep incline so anyone with mobility issues may dtruggle.
Loved the property, the only thing is it’s on a hill and the walk is pretty hard but apart from that I loved the hotel location is great near city centre love the breakfast aswel the fruit was so nice, great wee room aswell recommend
Fantastic hotel with caring staff.
It was a great hotel, all staffs are very friendly. The place is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed to stay there in 3 nights
breakfast to die for
I have never fallen so head over heals for the entire staff of a hotel before! They were all so lovely, kind and attentive and the breakfast was top notch. I had an amazing stay —there is no where else I’d rather stay in all of Lisbon!
Personal muy amable, habitaciones muy limpias y muy atentos con el Cliente. Muy cerca del centro (5 min a pie de bajada).
I really enjoyed my stay, the staff really make a big effort.
I had a pleasant stay, staff were nice and location was good, located on up-hill street. Not easy if you have issues with uphill walking. Uber was an option and was relatively cheap. Breakfast was very good and staff were nice. Bed was comfortable and clean, however the wood floor had squishy noise. Building is old, but well maintained. Overall a great place and quite.
Highly recommended
Friendly place with very helpful and attentive staff who went to great lengths to explain the hotel layout & location in the city. A very comfortable hotel which I highly recommend.
Extremely friendly staff, quiet place, nothing will disturb you after returning for the rest.
The hotel is lovely and homely. Breakfast was very generous and they make eggs on demand whatever way you like them. There are also many fresh pastries and cakes left in the dining area during the day which you can tuck into if you have a sweet tooth. The only real issue is the hotel is up a hotel but it is very near the summit of the Larva Funicular and the walk up the hill is probably good for you!
Friendly Staff, and very welcoming. Location of Property a negative, as well as safety concerns within the general walking area. While it served our general purpose for our initial stay in Lisbon since we could not find accommodations in the area we desired, we would not stay there again.
It’s not a four star hotel. The room is tiny with a strange smell.
Lovely guest house
The location is an easy walk to the tourist areas and enough removed to offer quiet. The room was very comfortable, and the staff quite helpful. I would happily stay here again.
The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us many alternatives to where to go and enjoy our stay.
Very small room
Staff was great , i don’t usually take advantage of breakfast but it was very fresh and tasty. Clean location close to all.
Very high up so make sure to get a taxi or ride the vernacular. Lovely place with excellent staff.
Decent boutique (small) hotel on a narrow street near downtown was reasonable distance and price from airport. Parking is tough though!
Loved this hotel! Excellent service, cleanliness, room are superb. The buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning! Rodriquez and Natalia were warm, engaged in accommodating!
We (3 friends) enjoyed the stay in penthouse of this property with very welcoming and helpful staff
Not 4 stars hotel
Friendly staff and great breakfast
Beautifull hotel with friendly staff and very nice breakfast. Quiet part of centre Lisbon.
Perfect location for a 2-night stay in Lisbon
Great place to stay, just be prepared to walk up a hill a few times a day to get to the hotel :)
Carolina and team at the front desk were so helpful. They gave great options for places to eat, and great directions. The city view room was BEAUTIFUL!
The hill was a bit much for a first timer in Portugal? But the entire staff were wonderful!! I’d go back!
Quinta Colina Makes for a Special Stay in Lisbon
This is an excellent small hotel with a very friendly staff located within walking distance of the Praca do Comercio. It comes with a rooftop terrace and one of the best value (and extensive) breakfast spreads you'll find anywhere. Situated near the top end of Calcada Santana street, there are cozy restaurants, small grocery stores and even a beer pub along its steep descent. One point of advice: be prepared for the strenuous hikes up and down the surrounding streets and stairways!
Good but location is challenging
The room we booked turned out to be really small. No room to put 1 suitcase lat alone 2. Fortunately we we were able to move to a larger room. Hotel is near top of a hill on a steep road. The road into town passes through a sketchy looking area. Service is excellent. Near highly rated restaurant.
Great location with amazing view (room was on the 4th floor), clean, with a wonderful daily breakfast. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
Stay here!
Joanna and all the staff were wonderful! The breakfast is so good and kept us full until mid afternoon. Really enjoyed the terrace and the church across the street. Bathrooms small but the charm makes up for it!
Good breakfast
Clean, very nice staff, excellent breakfast.
Lovely boutique hotel in a nice, old building. Great location. The staff were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend.
Small, personal boutique hotel located in central Lisbon. Importantly, the hotel is at the top of a hill so be prepared to walk. Bonus points for the view from my room as well as the back terrace. Staff was very helpful and attentive which is always so reassuring when I am travelling in an unfamiliar city. I would stay here again,
Only good memory with this hotel was when a kind gentleman welcomed us and helped us to check in. But we found out our room toilet was totally broken one when we came back from our dinner. It is not a 24-hour reception as stated on the website, so even if I called at night, they did not answer. So we couldn't use the toilet all night and had to wait until next morning. If the young lady staff the next morning gave me the right info or wise alternative solution from the beginning when I claimed the issue, I could have spended my last day of trip with good memory as I have planned. But she just told me to wait 20 min and another 1 hour and another more hours.....So I missed my breakfast and couldn't visit the neighboring city of Lisbon as I have planned. After long hours later they said that they would move me to other room, but they did not let us know about the extra charge for changing room until I asked. And I've never seen and heard about the hotel that charged the extra money to the customer when there are problems with the room. She didn't even explain to me about the extra charge until I asked her. I couldn't change the room because I already missed my breakfast due to her lack of ability to deal with situations and my last trip day planned was ruined and I didn't want to pay more money for changing the room with their own problems. That room also had the problem with the air conditioner. The repairman couldn't fix it. There are many other good hotels in Lisbon. I used
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were kinda lumpy, which is my only minor complaint. Breakfast was good and the staff were great. The young lady at the front desk is hilarious and has a great personality. She’s going places! :) - from the Canadians of the US
5 Star Staff
The staff is wonderful and really makes the stay. Friendly, warm and extremely helpful. I only speak for our room - very small (it WAS a former convent) Bathroom super tiny. All areas very clean. Only downside besides size - we faced the street and heard loud noises most of night. Breakfast was delightful. I recommend you ask for a larger room than you think you need. Near a funicular so you don’t always have to climb a looong steep way to get to hotel. Make sure you get to know Carolina at front desk. She’s outstanding.
The staff was so friendly and helpful. Joanna gave us really good advice to plan our itineraries for each day. We could walk to so many attractions and three main metro stations ( Martim moniz for tram 28, Rossio for Sintra) are close by. Breakfast was amazing with so many choices and really lovely cakes. Carolina, Jenny and all the other staff were so friendly we felt like home. The room was so spacious and very clean.
Wonderful place
Such a nice guest house. A lot of charme and wonderful staff. Probably one of the best places I have stayed in Portugal. Brilliant breakfast. The area is packed with nice restaurants. But it is on a very steep hill. Probably not a place to go with children unless you are in a car or use taxi.
Great stay
Really great stay. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable room. Enjoyed being able to help ourselves to coffees anytime of the day. Be aware Lisbon has cobbled pavements so bring your most comfortable trainers!
Staff extremely helpful and friendly
Great place to stay. Very friendly staff and nice sized rooms and a great breakfast. It is off the beaten path a bit but easy to get around via the funicular, Uber, taxi or a short but steep walk down. Highly recommend.
Amazing Breakfast Amazing place amazing staff
The hotel site said Continental Breakfast and so i did not expect much ... I was pleasantly surprised with the spread Wow Good spread with hot section and eggs to order
Nice people
Both girls at the reception are very friendly.. The boy in the kitchen is also an extremely nice person...Everyone is smiling...I felt very comfortable.. Thx a lot..
Great little hotel with really friendly staff
Really friendly staff, good location being only 10 minutes to Rossio. Good sized room and very large comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent and all in all, a wonderful few nights stay.
This boutique hotel has been one of the nicest place me and my friends stood during our visit to Portugal. Pedro and Carolina were amazing host, breakfast was delicious, the room beyond our expectations, place is unique and accessible to many restaurants just a few minutes away. I highly recommend this hotel, won’t be disappointed.
Great location and the staff especially at check in (with I believe her name was Caroline) were very helpful and informative. The room was clean, and location was walking distance to many of the wonders Lisbon has to offer. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those visiting Lisbon!!
Very friendly and helpful staff!!
Increíble little boutique hotel near to everything. Just remember Lisbon is walking up and down …
Lovely historic building with a fantastic view, but with modern comforts inside. Great location, within walking distance of so many key sites - but note like most of Lisbon it’s on a hill so get ready for some leg exercise! Best thing is the team (esp Carolina) - who were incredibly eager to help, show you the city, and make the stay a success.
Do not stay here
The hotel is in an unsafe area, there were ants crawling all over my room, INCLUDING MY BED, the room was dirty, the room was freezing and the air conditioning was not on, there was only one front desk person who was friendly everyone else just stared at me.
