The property was decent for what it is, but we were frustrated with the dining not opening until 6 and there being really no other options nearby. When we finally did sit to eat, the wait staff was very friendly but the selection was very limited and things were often unavailable. No AC but slept ok with out it. Looks to be a heating unit and all other appliances worked well.

We had a comfortable stay. This property is serviceable with no bells and whistles.

Great place to stay spacious unit

Unfortunately the people before us absolutely trashed the property, paper towels all over the place, dishes left in the shared ammenties, someone left toilet rolls in the toilet They had limited staff on site to clean up this mess and my partner and i ended up leaving our own room so we could book in. The males toilet is under renovations so the females toilet became a unisex which i didnt feel comfortable with so i locked the bathroom until i had finished my shower There was the conference room made available for the males but it was a further walk to get there which from whst i saw no males used The staff were absolutely lovely and did their best under the circumstances

room was lovely but bathroom could have been bigger, had to go in, turn then close door, no ventilation in bathroom. Never seen motel staff on arrival as office was closed. thought was paying om arrival , money was already taken out ,,,

The playground needed repairs, the games room only had an air hockey table which was coin operated and a table tennis table that was not great condition. The staff were amazing, the room was cozy and warm, the bed was super comfortable, sky tv was perfect for the child. Burger king across the road was definitely a perk.Overall very much enjoyed our stay

Overall we love to enjoy staying. The only we had issue was the shower pipe, it wasn’t good. The water was splashed everywhere.

We stayed an additional night and already reviewed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of shops across the street with restaurants, grocery etc. Short walk to river trail. We got the room with small kitchen which was perfectly equipped.

Overall good experience

We enjoyed the bar and restaurant the food and service was great We were welcomed by a lovely lady and the unit was tidy and warm You can park right outside the unit. The bathroom is for smaller people not very big at all and no extractor fan But other than that perfect

Good all around

Check in was convenient however room was not serviced as requested after first night leaving us with no towels or tea making supplies. Service on day 3 did not include fresh bed linen, even though I had stripped the bed, leaving us with no sheets for the night! Bed was soggy and wobbly. Room was dirty behind furniture and dusty. Kitchen was not fully stocked for two guests. Reception staff were pleasant and apologised with partial refund offered. Initial welcome sheet did not include after hours contact details.

We had our Mercedes van, Ford Ranger and both of our race cars that were on trailers parked in the car park, broken into and items stolen at approx 320am on Wednesday morning. Very angry and disappointed!

We were very pleased with our stay. When we first arrived we learned that our room did not have air conditioning. That was apparently an oversight on my part. They do have larger rooms that have AC, I guess I just didn’t read the descriptions well enough. They do have a fan and with windows open it was no problem at all. The rooms are very well appointed with everything you might need. I would definitely stay again.

This property was conveniently sited. It was a hot day and there was no aircon in the unit which made it rather uncomfortable in the afternoon and into the night.

We were only needing one night, booked this place as it advertised a bar and restaurant. Perfect after driving all day. Watch out: bar and restaurant not open on public holidays. Wish we had known this before booking.

We had a lovely relaxing time thank you. We were just a little surprised that the payment for our second night had already been charged to our credit card before we arrived and that we were charged $5 more than the first night.

Unfortunately when we arrived our room had ants that were all up the wall and in the bedding. Although we were offered another room, there was no acknowledgement or apology for the situation. We decided to not stay and again received no apology, offer of refund or anything.

We had a great overnight stay here. We needed somewhere half way between Wellington and Auckland to break up the long drive for the kids. The pool was a hit and the big inflatable pillow was fun. The playground is definitely for smaller kids 7 and under. The games room was a bit of a let down. The only functional item was the table tennis. And the day we stayed the spa had been emptied. The room was perfect with Twin beds for kids in the separate bedroom and queen in the main space. Overall ots a great place and we would stay again.

Pool is a bit small for the size but there are a few entertainment options. Lots of space outside. Opening bar earlier would be good idea. Staying more than one night would be better to take advantage of its offerings.

Nice place, the room was fine but Tv and Sky did not work at all, I arrived lat 10pm and no one was there until after I left in morning. No breakfast available which was no good either. I will definitely go back and try everything out next time.

We loved our one night stay, wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely come back again.

Perfect spot for us and our three kids. They loved the bunks, loved the playground. Toilets were so close to the cabin it didn't matter they were detached. Way better than a hotel. Chilly and rainy outside but had warm duvets, as well as wool and electric blankets available but didn't need them. Would stay again.

TV &wifi did not work There were black spots on ceiling of the shower cubicles & toilet block, most possibly mould from steamy showers. This is a health hazard especially for anyone with a chronic lung disease such as asthma

Clean, warm and tidy room. Short walking distance to main town centre and local tavern. Friendly service.

Perfect for groups and families, plenty tobdo on the grounds weather permitting. Hot showers with really nice water pressure.

Over priced for what you get.

Not worth for the price paid

The WiFi is difficult to connect through mobile phone, so have to use laptop to connect and the speed is vey slow, wait at least 30s to open a website. Hot water run out after one person shower, never been told at check in the water is heated by water cylinder not gas, so have to wait for an hour for another shower, we have 4 people it was a long wait.

I liked everything was very comfortable and warm and clean to go back to I loved it, there definitely was nothing to dislike about.

Property unfortunately didnt have working toilet and it was very problematic. The outside hours phone number no one picked up and so all night we were without using toilet. The stench from the toilet was also unbearable. The lady at reception was very kind to let us use restroom from an unused room. But most of our stay we were without the basic ameneties

Was treated well with courteous service. Recommended.

An overnight stay, wish I had stayed another night! Location was great! parking superb and an easy check-in and check-out system. Quiet and not noisy! Room was just right! clean, had everything I needed on hand! Thanks for making Turangi a very special visit!

Good spot to break up a roadtrip!

Great motel to stop off in on a roadtrip of the North Island. Easy access to the Tongariro river walk.

Good place to stay

Toilet paper only given 1/5 of a roll left when we checked in and no extra in the room unless you go to the reception and ask, winter time with no extra blanket in the room unless you ask, WiFi password, go to the reception and ask.... not sure it was condensation or leakage at the back toilet floor was wet and smelly, not enough hot water for a family of 4 taking 5mins shower, poor shower cubicle design, shower door must be closed before turning on the shower otherwise water will splash on the floor, in result you’ll have to enjoy the freezing cold water before it gets warm, and shower head is fixed to the wall and you have no place to hide from the freezing water.

1 night stop while travelling

Everything about the stay was excellent, grandson loved the pool, situated close to the river riding tracks, room was great, just couldn't get the internet to work, spoke to reception but still couldn't get it to work, didnt go back and harass them as it wasnt that important

genuine old fashioned hospitality, welcoming motel

One of the best motels in NZ keeping with the old kiwi tradition of providing for the needs of visitors. Accross the road from NewWorld and fast food. Spa great.

Although just adequate it was dingy with no outlook and the WIFI connection was weak. The walls werre thin and noise from neighbours, although they were not being loud, was intrusive. It was not good value for money. We had stayed in other accomodation through Expedia, Airbnb, Homestay and others that gave much more for less. We booked this ASURE location as we had used them before and were not disappointed with them . On the plus side the bed was comfortable, the shower was good and it was clean

Old and dated. Just NO!

Arrived and the power was out. No one else staying at hotel except for us. The power was out for several hours and noisy maintenance was also ongoing at the property when we were staying. At one point the kitchenette tap water was disconnected loudly in the morning. Also the wifi wasn't available for the first night because of the power. Reception said they would tell us when it was back on, but never did. The room was dark and old. The walls were covered in natural wood panelling, like a cabin. The bathroom was very dated and so tiny, I am small and could hardly fit. No fan, just a little window. The face towels were faded light pink and so old - I didn't dare touch it. The washing machine area was very dirty and there were 20 odd bags of bedding for washing thrown on the floor in there, along with some old faded chairs and flyers for tours. There were cups, cutlery and bowls, a microwave, kettle and fridge - well kitted out kitchenette. I hated everything about the room, and the limited tv channels that flickered and the tiny wall heater. I didn't want to put my feet on the floor, or tough the old brown blanket on the bed. They had us park on the grass section outside the door of our room. It was raining and very muddy. The 'spa' was so gross and pool not in order.

Very friendly staff, clean room. The heater struggled to warm the room. A nice touch would be to set the heater on ~20C and leave it on to heat the room when guests are arriving on a cold day.

Great staff, spa and drying room. Sky sport to watch the all blacks crush the wallabies. What more could you want for a skiing weekend.

Overnight on the way to Wellington

Spa and pool was great, short walking distance to the Town Centre and river. Playground area for kids and large grassed area aswell. Bar and Restaurant onsite too.

Consistently a great place to stay when doing my Auckland to Wellington drive. Very friendly and welcoming, rooms are nicely set-up, easy access and always a good nights sleep.

Friendly and relaxing

We were treated very well at the Parklands Motorlodge. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. They have a restaurant (we didn't try) and casual bar which we enjoyed! We were only here one night as we were traveling through the area. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for a night before doing the Tongariro Crossing. The venue is clean, tidy, warm, convenient and having its on restaurant on site was a bonus. Nothing was an issue for the very friendle staff and management. I would definetly stay here again. Highly recommend.

Just stayed for one night. Perfectly good stopover. Geared up for fishermen, with a smoke house and fish cleaning station. New World was just across the road.

The location is excellent, wake up to the sound of birds. The rooms are nicely appointed, clean and inviting. A very good motel.

For a day stay it is good, if air con presents then it might be great. 2 Bedroom one was spacious.

Bathroom a little small and layout not user friendly as only mirror meant turning left above vanity and shower head pointing straight to shower door. However, overall very pleased with our stay. Clean, spacious lounge/kitchen and bedroom areas. Very comfortable beds had a great sleep. Good soundproofing. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel BUT. The TV & wall mounted fan heater in the room next door could be clearly heard in our room. They were mounted on the common wall behind our bed-head. We did not sleep well.

Loved our stay on the way home from Auckland. Bed very comfortable and unit very clean. It was a beautiful day and people were in the lovely pool and children were playing on the large grasses are. While handy to the main road didn’t hear any noise

Good for one night on the way through from wellington up north with kids. The kids loved the pool, and trying out the table tennis and pool in the games room. The games room is very tired and the bats, balls, racquets need replacing. The room was great, two beds in the lounge for the kids, a nice little kitchenette and an ensuite to the bedroom. Table for four. It's very hot in summer but lots of windows to get a through wind. There is a subway to walk from the motel across SH1 to the main shops.

We stop here on our way to Auckland. Pleasant walks and accommodation comfortable and easy to get to from motorway and there is a walkway under motorway to pub supermarket and other places to get food
