Good hotel

This hotel is awesome. It's located in a conveniently way. There's one problem; it's on a busy one-way street. Noise is constant all day and all night. Potential clients need to invest in earplugs. I think the hotel should give all customers complimentary earplugs because of the noise. This is what I think.

Cleanliness

Highly recommend these suites. Ideal location, tastefully decorated rooms, and friendly, polite front staff. The check in process was effortless. Had one of the suites on the 4th floor with the double queen size beds, and a very nice balcony. Would definitely stay here again when in Sto Dgo.

A/C unit not cooling and extremely noisy. Roaches in the room. No daily housekeeping service for cleaning during the stay. Expensive.

An incredibly comfortable Hotel. The staff are the best! The Hotel is in a great location and the rooms are large with a very plush mattress.

I very like the property location . But i very dislike thst i found roaches in the bathroom and in the kitchen.

It is a nice botique hotel. Unfortunately, room requests are rarely honored upon arrival. I have a handicap and always request first floor months in advance. Yet, when I arrive , it is never available. No elevator at this hotel. Cleaning room policy has changed to once every 3 days. I was there 5 days and no cleaning or new towels.

The rooms are very small. There were bugs. When you took shower water was every where.

No more than a few nights, noisy and cold. You get what you pay for. So don’t have to much expectations. The locations is pretty good but the neighborhood is not the safest one.

Good Location but Not for Faint of Heart

Not a bad stay. Checking in was a hassle as the front desk clerk was not available for over 10 minutes as I stood outside of the locked building in the Santo Domingo heat on a very sketchy block. A neighborhood gentleman had to scream into an open window to get the attention of staff to open the door. Once inside, the room I booked was not available so they changed me to a “better room” which had a disgusting smoking and other strange smell for most of my 5-night stay for which I was told there were no other rooms available. They tried to remedy the smell by preparing coffee on the stove in the room to allegedly absorb the smell as well as placing aroma sticks in the unit. There are no elevators in this hotel and my room was on the 4th floor, for which I got a serious cardio workout every day. I had to immediately report some damage in the unit to ensure I would not be held responsible for them. POSITIVES: The staff was very friendly and tried to be accommodating. The location is in the middle of historic and cultural rich sightseeing spots as well as walking distance to the water front. The room was spacious and clean but could use improvement, Great WiFi Connection. CONS: Only allowed one guest is allowed at a time (per Registration Contract), No Elevator, Parking is limited on area, Daily Breakfast is location at a restaurant around the corner from building (less than 5-minute walk), Located in very much residential area (Pro/Con). OVERALL: Not a terrible stay

The location was perfect for tourists. I loved it and will be back again

I thought this hotel was better than they advertised. space was clean and comfortable. staff pleasant and professional.l felt safe even in the heart of the colonial frantic district. check in and check out was uneventful..

It is in a good area close to El Conde and the Caribbean. Not good water pressure in the shower very noisy from the street. Nice place to stay

Very close to Zona Colonial

My stay at this hotel was overall good. Room was clean, staff very helpful and friendly and everything was as described. Breakfast was OK, though little variety. Perhaps the only downside was that the room was facing a very busy street and was extremely noisy both at night and early morning.There are plenty of shops and places to eat around the hotel so that wasn't an issue.

i have stayed at this hotel many times this year 2017 and once in 2018 .....it is small and modern but quaint....very clean and the staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable.....all speak spanish and english ....it is located 3 minutes walk to the ocean...2 minutes to conde street which has an abundance of shops and restaurants within walking distance.....there is a grocery store 7 min away and they will actually carry your groceries to your hotel for you...the area is safe clean and i am fast considering it my home away from home....at $50 a night you are well served with a kitchenette ....i highly recommend this hotel

I WAS IN SANTO DOMINGO FOR 2 DAYS THIS HOTEL IS IN ZONA COLONIAL AND ITS RIGHT IN THE HEART OF IT THE STAFF WAS NICE FRIENDLY AND THE ROOM HAD A BALCONY YOU COULD STEP OUT ON AND I JUST LOVED IT

July ocean breeze stay

I have stayed at Ocean breeze 4 different times now and have found it very enjoyable...it is located within a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants. I enjoy the helpful staff and have only a few adverse thoughts...there is no elevator and the mirror in the bathroom is so close to the sink it is a hazard....but other than that very enjoyable stay....

Good hotel in the heart of the colonial zone

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Overall, it was a good stay. I arrived at the hotel at a quarter to three and had to wait for a little while because the checking-out clients were still in the room and when they left, the room had to be cleaned. The bathroom sink was leaking. I reported it to the manager and she took immediate action. She apologized and went out of her way to make my stay as pleasant as can be. I will definitely stay there again when I go back in May. The internet connection is very good. The TV signal had its ups and downs.

Please Stay Away!!!

We arrived to the Hotel late 3th of February 2016,the guy at the Reception told me that I have to pay extra 30% if I pay with credit card,after seeing horrible room and dirty sheeds I only paid for 1 night,2 rooms. Next day I tried to get out of this place but they treathning me to charge the full 7 nights stay,so I asked them to find me better rooms.First night we couldnt sleep even 1 minute,horrible noises untill 6am. This Hotel doesnt have normal windows,no glass!!! Mosquitos are allover you! They dont clean your room daily,you need to beg for a toilet paper. After all I did pay the full amount,eventhough we stayed in 2 basic rooms they still took 1 basic,1 better room price.Last night before we leave that Prison the Venezualian Manager asked me to pay!!! I told her that I did pay in full and showed the receipt,she still told me that its not in the systeme,and she will check cameras to see if I really paid!!!????? Can you believe this???I almost called CENTUR Tourist Police!!! Please stay away from this Hotel ,last day we didnt have even water. We stayed 1 week from 3th to 10th ,hope we will survive,I have severe Diarrhea now,water is contaminated there. Erhan

Everything was horrible since the beginning,incredible noise even at 5 am!!! Today is 02/11/2016 I will sleep without mosquitos finally,there is no glasses there windows are open, the Manager tried to get money twice but I show her that I payed already ,she still said she will check cameras?????They dont pay employees,so no work

Good location

To be honest, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is in the local neighborhood and the people are humble and friendly. The hotel is perfect fit a solo getaway. It would help if you know some basic Spanish. If you are looking for an upscale neighborhood or quiet, this is not the place for you. Don't act like tourist by taking photos and looking around as if you are lost in this area. If you act normal, you will be treated as normal!!!!

Night out

To begin, I made my booking a few hours prior to arriving at the hotel. Upon checking in I noticed a big difference in the amount I was quoted online compared to the hotel so I asked what his exchange rate was, he told me 45 Pesos to the USD. I then asked how he came to charge me more than 30% of what my online offer was. He then pulled the hotels.com page out and said this sir is not valid it has expired. I then said to him it is very unprofessional to try and sneak price changes on any customer. I know better because I am working in management at hotels for 30 years, you try that with any guest and you receive reviews that can lead to loss of business for your hotel.Please notify guest in future so they can make up their mind before running their card.

De terror!

El personal muy amable, la habitación deteriorada, se apagó el aire acondicionado a media noche y no encendió más y lo peor fueron las cucarachas y un un bicho parecido a un ciempiés dentro de la ducha. Fue muy mala experiencia.

Nettles Budget hotel in guter Lage

Nettles, relative neues Budget Hotel in sehr guter Lage in der Zona Colonial. Wer viel Gepaeck hat sollte sichergehen, ein Zimmer unten zu bekommen. Es gibt keine Lift.

Good service

Customer service was good at this hotel, they helped us out with every question we had. Soundproofing was pretty poor and we had a cockroach in our room but other than that I have nothing to complain about. The location is great!

Me decepcionó...

No me gustó nada la atención, con la excepción de Luís, el recepcionista que me atendió en la tarde. El hotel en sí, es más bien un hostalito caro para lo que ofrece. Lo mejor es la localización a apenas 1 cuadra de la puerta del Conde.

ESPECTACULAR

Excelente el trato desde la llegada hasta el check out. Todo el personal muy amable, cariñoso, atento, servicial y amigable (Andreina, Luis, Julio, Patricia y las Sras. de Limpieza) todos con excelente comunicación y atención al huesped. Las habitaciones muy cómodas y en una zona tranquila y céntrica. El desayuno incluido muy bueno. Lo unico que mejoraría seria el tamaño de las puertas del baño para que no escurra el agua y la fuerza del agua en duchas que era muy baja. De resto super comodo y muy familiar.

Cuando hice la reservación llame al hotel y me dijeron que habían recibido el correo y que todo estaba bien. Pero cuando llegue al hotel me dijeron que no tenían habitaciones y que no encontraban mi número de teléfono para llamarme y decirme. Una decepción.

Magnifica ubicacion y precio

Es la tercera vez que me hospedo aqui y siempre he hecho la reservacion en hotels.com. En esta tercera ocasion el Sr. de la recepcion (que tengo la impresion de que era haitiano pues tenia acento extranjero) insistia que yo no tenia reservacion aun cuando le enseñe la confirmacion de hotels.com. Despues de pasar un rato y cuando estaba a punto de pedirle que contactara a la manager del hotel, aparecio la reserva. En fin, fue un rato desagradable. Por lo demas, todo muy bien, como siempre.

El hotel es cómodo, limpio, puedes ir caminando a la zona colonia. Lo único para criticar es la cuadra donde está el hotel, es sucio y encuentras personas indigentes en la calle durmiendo.

El hotel muy serca de todo, y facil acceso, un personal agradable,y muy limpio, solo que el desayuno no es nada agradable, entiendo que podrian mejorarlo.

Me fue muy bien, el trato del personal excelente. Por otra parte lo unico negativo, esta página web no menciono sobre desayunos y en el hotel nunca me dijeron que mi tarifa lo incluía.

Cómodo y limpio

En general bien ... lo único fue q lo ofrecido en la página no era real los servicios o aditamentos de la habitación no estaban y al preguntar la Sra. Al parecer la administradora fue muy antipática y Altanera y quizo insinuar q yo estaba equivocado teniendo la reservar en la mano. Recomiendo leer muy bien cuando reserve con ellos

Leuk art deco hotel centraal gelegen

Centraal gelegen hotel met vlakbij vele uitgaans en eetgelegenheden. ook vlakbij bus halte waar je makkelijk overal in miami kan reizen. zelfs naar de luchthaven met de bus.

Dårlig kjøkken, så ikke velg dette hotellet om du har planer om å spise mye i leiligheten. Servicen på hotellet var generelt dårlig, de hilste ikke når man kom inn og vi måtte Be om at de skulle komme med nytt laken, såpe, håndkler osv etter de ikke hadde vært og vasket på tre dager. Etter dette kom de hver eneste dag. En av de som jobbet der snakket engelsk så det var mulighet for å kommunisere å få hjelp til steder man skulle dra osv men stemningen var fryktelig rar og dårlig.
