Very well located walk-able distance from St Petersburg Railway stn and City's main attractions. The Hotel staffs are very helpful.
The room is very small.the mattrasse is uncomfortable. the team very good.clean.centrall.
Great location, clean and tidy room. Really good value for the price.
All good: staff, location, breakfast I would add coffeemakers to rooms
Very close to every important place in the city. Rooms are small
Small Boutique Hotel
Excellent location for a small hotel. Very quiet as it is off the main street in a courtyard.
I stayed here for 5 nights All the staff are helpful and can speak English The location is great even though it may hard to find when you first visited Room rate includes breakfast which is normal but well prepared Recommend this place
Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. Quiet hotel in the midst of Nevsky ave. Highly recommended. Only downside, hotel a little difficult to find, no signage when you enter into the courtyard.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were pleasant and always helpful. Our room (a standard room) was clean and comfortable. There was enough hanging space and shelves. Bathroom was modern and functional. Breakfast though limited was adequate. We had no complaints at all and would stay there again.
staff was excellent location is very good breakfast was poor
loved the location showers were excellent friendly helpful staff
WAsnt what’s on espedia but the place was still good
Fantastic location in a courtyard just off Nevsky Prospect- the main street. Eexcellent value for money.
Value for money
Hotel room is super clean. Breakfast area is a bit cramped but decent continental breakfast to start the day. Value for money. Will book again and recommend to friends
Not impressed
Hotel consists if 2nd floor of an unpreposessing block. Room small but adequate. Breakfast very basic
Excellent location
Natalia and staff made our stay a very pleasant experience. We loved the location central to everything. Breakfast was a great start to each day. Bed was comfortable and room clean, safe and quiet. We recommend the hotel as a place where we will return if ever back in St. Petersburg.
Excellent hotel and staff.
Very well located.
Located on On Nevsky street, the heart of the city. The room is tidy and kind nice. However, there is got to walk a little bit once you find the street number, because the hotel is located in between some buildings. Staff is lovely.
Nice budget hotel right in the middle of the city
Pros: great location, pleasant and helpful staff , spacious room, laundry service available with a pay of 300 rub, safe deposit box can be operated with a deposit of 1000 rub Cons: very limited breakfast, tiny bathrooms
Great staff I forgot my jewelry in the safe realized it a day later & was able to get it back easily
Nice Hotel
Nice hotel. Very clean. Warm and friendly staff. Its a hotel in a hotel.
Excellent hotel!
It is a very good hotel right in the center on a huge city right next to a metro station. Might be a little difficult to find if you are not aware of this type of Russian hotels, but as soon as you do you understand that there is just no better price/quality ratio anywhere! Would never choose another option in S. Petersburg than this hotel.
Nice hotel! Recommended!!
Location, grocery& shops nearby, cleanliness, good hot shower, good bed, friendly staffs, breakfast included, budget price.
Small, place in the centre of the city.
Converted appartment in the center of the city. Rooms are beyond tiny, heat is not regulated. The room is constantly at 95 F, which forces you to open the window and create a draft of cold air. Not the most efficient or convinient way, unfortunatly, it is 25F outside. Hotels WIFI did not work at all, through out the stay.
Good for business and budget travel
Nice and clean room. Very friendly staff. Good to stay if you need the place only for sleeping. Not very comfortable for meetings. Complimentary tea and coffee clock around. Pay attention that it's located in the same building with other hotel and only third floor is dedicated to this particular hotel. That can confuse you when you try to locate the hotel at first time.
Calm and comfortable in a good location
From the outside the hotel didn't look like much, but when I stepped inside I was very pleasently surprised. The reception area looks very warm and inviting and the staff was friendly and professional and made our group feel welcome. The room was bright and very clean and fresh. The hotel is in the city center close to a busy road, but it was quiet inside. The prize was very reasonable and I got more than I was expecting. I have nothing but good things to say and would definately recommend.
Valuable Hotel in St.Petersburg!
We got this hotel for the lower price, and I was overall satisfied with the stay.
Basic but Respectable Accommodations
This hotel seems good for what it is, though I think staying at the 4-star hotels in Saint Petersburg has biased me a little. I admittedly wasn't quite prepared for the distinctly different experience of a 3-star place, or at least this one. Nevsky Contour is a single floor in a building, much of which houses Hotel Anabel. The building has a lobby with a guard, but the hotel and reception desk are on the third floor. Go up in the little elevator and ring the bell by the door when you get there. The 24-hour staff speak English and they are very nice. Besides checking you in, they will make you a nice cup of coffee at any time. Coffee and the water cooler are free. There is breakfast near reception from 7am to 10am, but I was always either asleep or away so I only had some leftover croissants. My "standard double room" was really small -- not a whole lot bigger than the bed. That said, it was clean and comfortable enough, and there was a small but respectable private bathroom. There was also a tiny fridge, a little TV with Russian channels if you happen to speak the language, and a ceiling fan. WiFi mostly worked fine. Clues to finding the hotel can be very helpful! The entrance is not from the street. When you arrive at the address, enter the courtyard and walk towards the back. On your left you will come to a big doorway with a sign for Anabel Hotel and Nevsky Contour. Dubious as this may sound, it's just past the sex shop on the left and across from the men's club.
Excellent hotel
Very good hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast - boiled eggs, sausages, cheese, etc. Tea/coffee/water free all the time. Perfect location - center of the city but quiet. We had standard room that has very small TV, but they have comfort room with very large TV.
Amazing hotel in the heart of St Petersburg
Great breakfast in the mornings, good tea and coffee available all day, beautiful area, and very friendly staff.
Good value. Good location. Comfortable quarters. .
One could say that the hotel is not easy to find and that the entry is not classy. Other than that everything was fine.
Great Location
We enjoyed our stay here starting with the quick and efficient service from the staff on acquiring our visa invitation letter. Hard to find, it's in the back down a driveway and there are no signs on Nevsky Street. Look for the Anabell Hotels sign. There is a very small lift to the hotel on the 3rd floor. Great room, small but with everything you need. The breakfast is good but the space is small and gets cramped with a lot of guests. Great location to walk to everything in St. Petersburg. I would return.
Brilliant hotel with great location
Stayed in this hotel early July, booked standard room for 3 nights. We were upgraded free of charge! Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was in a brilliant location, close to metro and major tourist sites. Taxi from Airport was approximately 700 rubles so very convenient. Would defiantly stay here again!
Nice hotel close to downrown
Nice quite place close to downtown.
Excellent location, excellent memory
So nice memory for Saint Petersburg.
Outstanding value for white nights
My brother was getting married in st Petersburg, so we looked for somewhere central to stay for 3 nights. Location is great - right off the strip and yet quiet at night as the hotel is located in an alley away from the bustle of Nevsky Prospect. However, this very location makes it tricky to find the first time and your cab or Uber will not pick up or drop off at the front door. The front desk staff are very helpful and attentive. We even had to zap some food in the middle of the night for our 2 yr old and the staff took care of it. The free breakfast is continental type and a great value. However, the space of the dining area is quite limited and it feels like moving Tetris pieces to maneuver to get a coffee or croissant. The hotel offers free tea and coffee at all hours and this was a nice perk especially when using our hotel as a rendezvous point with my siblings who stayed up the street. Highly recommended both for the location and relatively good upkeep of the rooms.
Good location on Nevsky Prospect
This is a small hotel on the third floor of a building. The rooms are small, but clean. They provide free WIFI and breakfast. The location is great and the price is reasonable.
Disappointing...Average: don't expect too much.
Overall experience is disappointing. True that price is not expensive but I expected more for what I paid. It is very difficult to find as it is not exactly on the main street, it is in the backyard but there are no banners in te street indicating that... Wandered around an hour looking for it and had to ask for help in other hotels. When arrived welcome was cold and the receptionist started scared us because we didn't have some documentation. She said we would have problems at the airport... I was worried for four days. In the end, all was fine at the passport control. The rest of staff was "ok" let`s say... Not very warm, friendly or with good communication. Breakfast was poor and coffee terrible. The room was very clean but very narrow and there was not enough space to allocate two pieces of luggage plus one cabin bag. The bed was awful. Too soft and they put two mattresses... One normal (very soft) and tried to make it up with a thinner one on the top (the one in Ikea) but the final effect was terrible... I won't come back and wouldn`t recommend... Worth it to pay a bit more and go somewhere else.
Small very cozy quiet hotel
Again a small very cozy quiet hotel with a helpful and friendly staff..It is right in the middle of all the action (city center) cant have a better location..Only complaint is breakfast. Same simple thing every morning..some type of sausage...but i would definitely recommend this Hotel .it is also reasonably priced..
Great hotel, excellent location.
The hotel itself is easy to find and is located in a very safe area. Dining, entertainment, shopping, and all kinds of public transportation is within a short walking distance. Our room, as well as entire hotel, were very clean. Housekeeping maintains the rooms on a daily basis. Daily breakfast was great. Hotel staff was super friendly and was available for assistance 24 hours. The walls were sound proof, which was an important factor and everyone was able to get good rest at night.
Good value, xlnt location! Will come back Was late for breakfast though
one of my best experiences ever
An amazing place. matches the photos exactly! i really loved the staff. warm enviroment. great location! great breakfast! and i am usually pretty criticizing! i was suprised. everything was just perfect! :) hope to come to the same place next time
Above average, good location and price
Rooms are upgraded, clean, and comfortable. Located in a courtyard off Nevsky on the third floor - a little hard to find, but a convenient location. Breakfast provided hard boiled eggs, cereal, juice, breads.
Will stay again
clean hotel
it was good
St.Petersburg without a huge price tag!
The Hotel is NOT easy to find, even if you've worked out it's at the back of a courtyard. The sign shares space with a 24 hour Shop that deals in ehm adult content, so it's easy to get confused there. The hotel shares a building with the Anabel Hotel (it takes up the 2nd, 4th & 5th floors, the Nevsky Contour has the 3rd). A small lift takes you, and your baggage to the front door. The hotel itself is almost flawless. Good rooms, shower (no bath in my room)and a huge 3D TV that you can get films free of charge from reception (not that you'll have time to - this is St.Petersburg!!). None of the TV channels are in English though. If you can get past the seedy locale (there's also a 'Mens Club' called Don Juan directly opposite), the Nevsky Contour is right at the heart of St.Petes at a price that won't break the bank.
Comfortable stay, great location. However, the hotel should provide a 2nd roll of toilet paper. We were given 1 at a time only.
Overall the location was convenient for lots of mode of transport (metro very close and not far to the main station). But the hotel itself was on one floor of a building in the back of a large courtyard off the street. There were lots of other businesses in the courtyard, some noisy (especially at weekends), and one at least seemingly an adult club - so that one was accosted by people handing out flyers on entering the courtyard. The hotel itself is quite small - about 15 rooms - and the common areas are a cramped reception area-breakfast room. The breakfast was rather poor - perhaps to be expected given the limited preparation area. The room was OK, but bedside tables (with a power supply by them to charge one's phone) and an chair, as opposed to just a stool, would have been nice.
Very nice hotel in the very downtown.
Close to attractions.
Hotel is hard to find, it's in an ally on there third floor of a building marked Anna belle hotel. Hotel is decent, more of a hostel feel and not very relaxing. House keeping was not the best, three days in a row my room wasn't clean (one day I did decline) and it was done very late, at times I'd come back at 4:00 to freshen up before dinner and my room was not done. Breakfast was mostly toast and cereal choices. Staff spoke enough English to help you, but weren't overally friendly. It is pretty close to everything which is great.
Very convenient, quiet, clean hotel. Hotel staff is also very friendly. Overall, a great choice for St. Petersburg!
Good hotel in city center.
I liked this hotel very much. Travelers should know that it is a little hard to find at first. It is in a courtyard off of #88 Nevsky Prospect Street. Right near a Subway sandwich shop. You enter an open gated arch, cross the courtyard, through a second arch, and Nevsky Contour is on the left. It is in the Ananbel Hotel. Look for that sign since there is no sign for Nevsky Contour Hotel. Enter the doorway on the left of the Anabel Hotel and take the elevator to the third floor.
A gem among mini hotels in St.Petersburg
Very good experience. Bed is awesome, shower is great. Overall comfort room has good size and is very clean. Sound insulation and breakfast were OK, free tea and good quality coffee is a great addition. Personnel is very welcoming and helpful.
Clean & comfortable fabulous location
This is a great hotel right on Nevsky Prospect. It isnt that easy to spot - the directions on the website are out of date (the shop/bar they mention have changed) - a sign outside would be helpful! You walk through a metal gateway opposite the Nevsky Palace hotel, signs are all for Hotel Anabel. Sign over the door is also Hotel Anabel, Nevsky Contour is on the 3rd floor of that building. You dont see any signs for Nevsky Contour until you get inside the lift. Having said that the locals are really helpful and will point you in the right direction. Our room was beautiflly clean and all in pristine condition. Not the prettiest or plushest hotel I've ever stayed in but we certainly had no complaints. Breakfast was basic but adequate. We would have liked a bit more information from the staff at the front desk - there were no leaflets about tourist attractions and when we asked questions the staff looked things up on the internet. I'd read a review from someone who'd got an entry voucher from Peterhof from his hotel - the Nevsky staff were unable to help with anything like that. Also my friend had her purse & phone stolen by a pickpocket - despite this being a common occurrence the Nevsky staff couldnt tell us how to report it to the police. Again they just looked up the local police station on the internet, which resulted in a wild goose chase. Russian customer service isnt like Europe - you just have to accept that!
Nice and affordable accomodation!
For pepole who had never been to Russia before and do not know the language, we initially had some problem finding the hotel. Because it is inside the Nevsky Prospekt, we had to ask a few people to find the exact location of the hotel. After we found the hotel, everything turned to be surprisingly nice. We enjoyed the stay. The location is good, it is quiet (you won't hear the heavy traffic on the Nevsky Prospekt), the service is nice and friendly and the room is nice. It is absolutely value for money!
Good budget accommodation - once you find it.
Good, budget accommodation In a central location. The hotel occupies the third floor of a building populated mainly by Hotel Annabel. There are literally no signs which made finding the hotel in the middle of a downpour a nightmare. I appreciate that there might be problems in having a sign put out on the Main Street, but something within the courtyard - as other businesses have done - or at least a standing blackboard sign. It was only after a Google search in a local cafe that I figured out where it was and then going in and asking the security guard if it was located in the building, did I eventually find it.
Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of the city
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice and there was free tea and coffee throughout the stay. The hotel send instructions a few days before the stay how to find it so it wasn't difficult, although without those it would have been as there are no signs for the hotel on the street.
Excellent choice, would recommend to everyone.
For a small hotel they deliver great service with 24 hour desk service, breakfast, anytime coffee/tea, laundry service (at a fee), security, wifi, quiet and clean.
Perfect location
Booked a triple room and got given the Green Room (312). Looked exactly ljke the pictures and is the biggest room available. Clean room, but bathroom was very cosy. Based on the 3rd floor of the Hotel Anabels building, it was set within an oasis off the main Nevsky Prospect road (similar to Oxford Street in London). Didn't need the metro or bus as we walked everywhere within 30mins. But plenty od busses, trolley busses and 2 metro stations nearby.
Nice little hotel in a good location
Nice little hotel in a good location on a courtyard off Nevsky Prospekt, close to buses making it convenient for taking in all the sights. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a larger building. They serve a nice breakfast. Reception is excellent and includes complimentary tea or coffee during the day. The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. There are about 8 steps to reach the elevator which may be a concern if you have luggage.
Comfy, clean, friendly and great location
We stayed in a comfort room, which had a king size bed. The room felt homely, was clean and comfortable. Access to tea and coffee was fantastic after a day out. Most staff were very friendly and were very kind to us when we first arrived as I was feeling unwell-allowing us an early check in. Location was very central, walking distance to all the tourism hot spots. Breakfast was basic-toast and cereals, cheese pate and boiled eggs, plus juice and hot drinks, which was perfectly fine for us. Would stay here again!
Very nice small hotel
Very nice and clean hotel The only thing is kind of annoying was horrible internet connection there. But I think it Russian internet as whole. The girls upfront were super nice
Good service but room lacking
Reception service is nice, warmth and helpful. However room is without aircon with a noisy ceiling fan. Water temperature is not stable in the shower and thing that irks me is that both the toilet door and room door always get stuck and you need to push very hard against them to open them. Otherwise bed is ok. And oh, shower gel and shampoo provided in sachets and not enough. Pls bring your own.
Very nice
This Nevsky contour is a nice hotel that I would certainly recommend other people to stay at. It is located ina courtyard about 10m off the main street in Saint Petersburg. It is quiet outside the window and when you step out of the courtyard you are in the middle of life in SP. The hotel is clean and the hotel employees are very friendly and very helpful. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Hermitage but the route is gorgeous with all lthe classical buildings.
Good deal near tourist attractions
Our taxi driver had a heckuva time finding this place, which has no signs and is tucked inside a courtyard off St. Petersburg's main drag. But if you can find the place, it's a decent deal. The staff was very helpful, the breakfasts were decent and it's relatively close to the main tourist attractions.
Terrible Rooms!
I was really dissapointed about the rooms. There were no place to put our luggage so we could not open them at the same time. The beds were really unconfortable and they were very low that we feel like sleeping on the floor. There were only 1 towel in the rooms and we always had to asked one more before we had a shower. It was such an annoying situation! Before we went there, we were expected an average breakfat. But we even did not like it all. There was just dated cornflakes and cakes. Although we paid for the breakfast, we could not eat there anymore. I do not understand who gave this place 3 stars. It should be named as a hostel not a 3 star hotel! At nights, we always had to wait for the receptionist to open the door when we pressed the bell fsince she was slleping after 2.00 am. Overall, DO NOT GO THIS PLACE. you can find better ones along the Nevsky prospect.
Great location
Great location
Great service!
All of the receptionists were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good, not a lot of fancy frills but certainly adequate. We had a problem with our air conditioning which the hotel ended up fixing after a few nights, but all in all we were very satisfied with our stay here!
Loved it
I loved everything about this hotel: location, quality of service, cleanliness. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.
Good value
The hotel is quiet despite its proximity to Nevsky Prospect. It is well-located for site-seeing. Most importantly the hotel staff are extremely helpful. Don't be put off by the unusual entrance to the hotel. My room was clean although small which is typical throughout the region. I would recommend this hotel. It is very good value for all the benefits it provides.
Great Hotel
We were there from July 6-10, in the Lavender Room. The location is great, right in the center, 3min from Moyakovskaya Metro Station. It is about 20min to Hermitage by walking. The building was easy to find, since we read other reviews before and already knew where to go. The buiding is beutiful, very old but upkept. There is security in the lobby. The hotel is located on the third floor. It was likely an old "Komunalka" that has now been split up into 18 hotel suits and a lobby. The rooms are small but comforatble. The furniture is brand new and so is the bathroom. There is more than enough of storage space, surprisignly. The room has a new flat screen TV that hangs on the wall, below which there is a stand with even more storage space. The bed is very comfortable, pillows are perfect, nice warm comforter. Our room had an AC that was worked great. We had no issues with temperature. The window is large and opens as well. There is no view from that hotel, it is located on the inside of the Nevsky Prospect (it is hard to explain, but those who lived in St. Petersburg know what I mean.) The service is great, 24hrs, polite, helpful. All clerks speak English, and perhaps other languages too. Hotel has free WiFi, it worked fine in our room. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone.
Amazing location & wonderful hotel
I would stay there again. I LOVED the bed. So comfortable! The hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming. Only two very small details. Get info on where the hotel is located before you leave as it wasn't on my Expedia confirmation email. Also, Internet access is included. It works fine but the connection was weak in my room. No issues in the common area.
Great location, comfortable room
Very friendly hotel that was perfect for our needs. Very helpful team at the front desk, extremely comfortable bedroom and nice touch that can have coffee, tea, water all day. At breakfast, space was a little cramped, but the food was nice and a good start to the day. Ideally we would have liked a fridge in our room but all in all, very good and would not hesitate to recommend.
Nevsky Contour Hotel
We were looking for a reasonable hotel for a couple of nights after a trip across Russia by boat, train and plane. Our Taxi driver had to ring the hotel for instructions on how to find the hotel (details on the website would be useful), but apart from that the hotel was very good. Easy bus and tram links to the City Centre on the Nevsky prospect nearby. Superb receptionists with very good English and very helpful, particularly when my credit cards were stolen on the bus. Standard room was small but adequate, despite our sizeable luggage, and very good bathroom. Breakfast was simple but adequate, and free coffee/tea at any time was a bonus. Décor and finish of hotel much better than anticipated once you were past the entrance off the stairwell
Very good economic hotel
Hotel and service are very good. The only problem we had to find this, because it was no sign for this hotel.
Great Location!
Better than expected; reasonable breakfast. Mostly free from the noise of Nevsky Prospekt, but beware of the local tomcats in heat!
Our Stay in Sankt Petersburg.
Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location. Will stay there again.
Our visit to Sankt Petersburg.
Nice hotel! Very friendly staff. Very good location. Nice breakfast in the morning. I would stay there again.
nice hotel
difficult to find the hotel, but very confort, clean, kindly staff, and good access!
A hidden gem!
In a courtyard just off the main street, this hotel is central for all the main attractions. Not the easiest to find (follow the signs to Anabel hotels and go up to the third floor) it is worth the effort! Very cosy and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast is basic but fresh, tasty and there is plenty of it. Free tea and coffee is a lovely bonus. Would thoroughly recommend for a short break to this lovely city.

Ok for short stay
The standard room is large enough and had a confortable bed. The hotel doesn't have any signboad from the main avenue, foreigners can easily get lost. The room doesn't have good isolation (door/wall) noises can go through into your room.
Great experience
We couldn't ask for more. The previous reviews were right: I little bit hard to find the hotel. However I read the reviews before and we knew how to find this hotel. Reception 24 hrs, always friendly and helpful.
Gestalt
The address - 88 Nevsky. Look for "Annabel Hotels" and "Tattoo" on the gate. Taxi from airport - 900 rubles (2013). You can get a taxi from the hotel (700 rubles). Russia. Check your sanity at the border, especially if you are from the US. Spent a week here with my wife. The room was narrow but cozy and the high ceilings didn't make it feel claustrophobic. It was a bit hot (the nature of heat in Russia), but you can open the window. The room was clean and didn't stink. The shower leaked (the seals were old) - but I found a way to keep the doors halway open so that the water dripped into the shower. Not much room for extra clothes, but we managed. Hey, you're IN THE HEART of St. Petersburg! Seriously, you can walk to two subway stations (Mayakovskaya and Moskovskiy Vokzal), that is super-convenient. Having the TV was pretty nice, though the overabundance of criminal dramas was a bit too much. This is a converted PRE-Soviet era apartment, so... some rooms use a regular key, some rooms use a key lock. You have to leave the key at the front desk when you leave. It was pretty quiet - most of the time. Front desk staff was super-friendly (hi, Polina and Natalya) and are pretty good at English. Breakfast - beats any breakfast in the US. Coffee is good, and have a choice of hot dogs (have to ask, they'll boil them for you), pate, yogurt, toast, salami, cheese, and a whole bunch of cereals. The girls will get a taxi for you (cost 700 rubles) which will pick you up by the door.
Good stay
We enjoyed the Nevsky Contour. Took advantage of their airport pickup service (about $37) which worked out well and glad to be in the thick of things on Nevsky Prospect. The room (and bathroom) was a bit small and warm (we turned off the heat the whole time) and the remote didn't turn off the TV but not a big deal. Helpful staff, okay breakfast, good restaurant next door (Yolki Palki) and a good price. BTW, I had no problem brushing my teeth with the tap water which I'd read shouldn't be done.
Great Value in St. Petersburg
The hotel is in a great part of the city with easy access to public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. The healthy and convenient breakfast (included in the price) was a plus--saved us a lot on having to eat out. I took us a few minutes to find it, since the lobby is on the 3rd floor of a building that is in a courtyard off of Nevsky Prospect. However, once there, you'll appreciate the location because it's away from the noise of the main thoroughfare. The location is great, the room was quiet, we felt comfortable and safe, and have no reservations about recommending it to others.
excellent choice
It is an excellent mini-hotel conveniently located downtown, close to everything. I would like to thank the staff for being friendly and helpful. We would be glad to stay there again.
excellent deal, great for the price
Location of hotel is great, stuff is super friendly, they went out of their way to accommodate our needs and answer all questions about the area. They will make a free cup of great coffee or tea for you anytime, day or night ( in the Radisson hotel, across the street ,cup of coffee costs $15) The place is neat, clean, nice rooms with cool design, the beds are comfortable. The only minus is poor internet connection in some rooms, but it works in the lobby and it is free. Overall, great place for a price!
Bad hotel
I wouldn't call it a hotel at all, a hostel maybe ! The rooms are small, the TV is tiny and the bathroom is uncomfortable. The good pooints are the nearness to the center of the city, the pleasant staff and the breakfast.
Excellent Location - great coffee
loved the location, service and free quality coffee. Only criticism, with the 'White Nights', the curtains did not block out enough light to sleep properly, but otherwise we would highly recommend Nevsky Contour Hotel - great value for money.
Center of town - room had no AC
Hotel is at a great location but our room had no AC and there was no washer/dryer available - as described.
centric and comfortable
very nice, small and cozy, rooms very nice, good bathrooms and breakfast
Perfect location!
The hotel is located in the main shopping street in the city center. The room was quite good and the staff were helpful and spoke good english. On the other hand, the entrance was quite hard to find, because it's located in the 2. floor. However, if you follow the signs for "hotel Annabel" from nevsky prospect 88, you'll easily find it. I would easily stay here once more.
Perfect budget hotel if you can find it!
The only real drawback with this hotel is finding it as it is not a building in its own right - it is part of another building so you will never see a sign for the Contour hotel. Getting there from Mayakovskya tube station is actually very easy - come out the Metro, turn left, immediately cross the road and turn left (away from KFC and Pizza Hut) and in a couple of minutes you will see signs outside a hidden courtyard for the Anabelle Hotel. Go into the courtyard and carry straight on under the arch - you will see the entrance to the Anabelle hotel on your left. 5 minutes at most. The Contour is on the 3rd floor via a small lift. If you pass Burger King on Nevski Prospekt like I did you've gone too far - its much closer to the Metro. Not sure why all this isn't on the Contour website as it's pretty crucial to finding the place - the receptionist laughed when I mentioned it - she must get it all the time! The hotel is small and the dozen or so rooms are off 1 narrow corridor. You do get doors opening/closing but I realised why I got it so much - room 124 is next to the loo/utility room so I guess the staff were making use of it! Other than that nice and quiet. Location-wise - great, near what you will want to see. Only did breakfast once - normal buffet thing. They do have DVD players in the room and free DVDs to watch - not sure how many are in English (if any). Staff very helpful and polite and English spoken ranges from very good to a little.
The staff was very friendly, there was a girl that spoke Spanish. Very nice little hotel in the heart of St Petersburg.
It is not a Hotel It is a HOSTAL
First it is not a HOTEL, is is only a simple HOSTAL second it is to dificult to find it, theres no any advertisement on the street Its too small Smell bad
Good value for money
A very good value for money (situated right across Corinthia Hotel, which was priced 2.5x higher.) The staff was incredibly nice/helpful, and the rooms very clean. However, keep in mind that with a low price came trade-offs that you won't have to deal with in a more traditional hotel - e.g. no wifi Internet for almost the length of our 3-day stay (it was a providers fault, not the personnel's, but it would not have happened in a larger/"real" hotel), a tiny (really tiny) elevator; the smallest I have ever seen. I don't think a large person can fit in there. And it was broken for a day. The hot and cold water was off all day on Monday from 9am till 6pm (again, due to the city maintenance, but it would never happen in a hotel.) And the rooms were really small. If you are looking for clean accommodations with great personnel (rarely a given in Russia), located dead in the center of the city, and don't mind small inconveniences that come with a value price, then this is definitely a place for you.
staff is nice and at good location
overall is good. Hotel address is not clear, actually, hotel is at big street named Nevsky no. 86 the opposit of Nevsky Palace hotel (hotel mentioned 72-88), I couldn't find it at first time, and asked but no one knew it.. It is actully at the same place of Anable hotel, you could see this hotel but you never find any sign for Nevsky Contour.....
Great location neat small hotel
I stayed in Nevsky Central 1 month earlier than this stay, and then I choosed Contour as a comparison for this stay, and I'm quite happy with this small neat hotel. Location is as great at Central, 10mins outside Train station, lots of restaurants and very close to walk to all the attractions. Better, it's in the back yard of the buildings, so it's very quiet, and the building is in good shape both inside and outside. And there is a security guy on the first floor, and a elevator to take you to 3F reception (it's under the name of Hotel Annabella, so you may have trouble to find it easily).Hotel reception lady is very friendly, helpful, and good english speaking. Room is very clean, newer furniture and bigger bathroom than Central. But they don't have air-condition. You can borrow fan from reception. The only problem I had is, the mosquetos. That didn't happen in Central. I had no idea where they come out from. The breakfast is very simple, tea, coffee, cereal, bread, cheese and boiled egg. Central has much more than that. Overall, I'm quite happy with this hotel, and I'd recommend it to friends.
One of best experiences we had staying in this hotel. Staff and room an amazing!
