The room was directly above a tennis court... and the club opened at 6am. Very unpleasant noise. Facilities are very dated. The pool was closed. It was half empty and green and it looked like the concrete around was being re-done. The whole place felt shabby and old. It would have been an ok place to stay had it been much cheaper. Felt overpriced for what it was.

Was very nice and tidy just what we were after for the night.

Fantastic Service

Really great affordable place to stay, was a great location to get around. We stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms, and it was top notch. Looked like they were doing heaps of upgrades around the place. Definitely will go back to stay, next time were up in Auckland.

Best service ever

This is a beautiful and quiet place to stay. I had myself and 4 kids ages from 8 to 13. The pool wasn’t working it was under maintenance. So we went to the pools elsewhere. Really enjoyed our 2days stay. Thank you

Rooms had just been renovated to an excellent standard for the price,

excellect location, quiet from main road, exterior looks tired, but we stayed at one of the newly renovated rooms, deco is fine, amenities new, however, shower wasnt strong enough, manager on duty very helpful, patient, good communicator, price under $100 per night, quite good bargain for the convenience of location

Warm little unit in Mount Eden

A simple room with a very comfy bed and nice pillows and duvet. Great for a short stay if you want to be close to Mount Eden. Has plenty of parking on site which is an advantage in Auckland. Easy to get to off the motorway when travelling, and easy to get back onto motorway to return home. Can redeem and collect reward nights.

On arrival the customer service was great. The room itself was ok. The shower and toilet area wasn’t appealing. Shower was really small, hot water didn’t last very long at all and the 20min wait between showers wasn’t convenient. Overall it was ok.

The room was clean and tidy just a little noisy with the boiler or the toilet cistern The staff were very helpful and friendly we felt welcomed

Handy location. Quite expensive for a one night stay for 2 people.

Familly unit but only enough hot water to shower one person, toilet systen broken, pool out of order but do not advertise this. Sky tv not available like sign says.

Tv wouldn't work. I went to reception, she changed the batteries around, but never came and checked. I was very tired and couldn't be bothered going back to her yet again. So, no TV. And the room smelled. The sheets were clean, if it wasn't for this I would have just gone and stayed somewhere else.

Reasonably clean and as tidy as it could be. You’re getting what you pay for really. Staff were wonderful and our unit was delivered fresh towels, took away rubbish etc.

Felt misled by description and pictures. WiFi is free but limited by coupons given out by a lady with attitude at the front desk. The room was cleanish but there was an oily residue all over the counter we had to clean up. Location is ok not great. Very old hotel needs an update.

GOOD - Close to city, quiet, and couldn't hear any road noise. Discount deal. NOT SO GOOD - No hairdryer. TV not working on advertised channels and because it being a holiday weekend tv wasn't able to be fixed. However we will be interested in staying there in the future.

It is always a pleasure staying in this quiet, traditional, central motel.

Great quiet location. Easy access to Auckland city and airport. Close to supermarkets and eateries. The motel is old but well maintained and situated in lovely garden surrounds, facilities are great for those that want to self-cater.

The motel was in a good location for me but was very dated. The unit was quite large and well equipped and very quiet. The shower had good pressure but the shower head was fixed and unable to be adjusted, very annoying. Anyone shorter than my 5'10" would virtually drown.

It was a well priced hotel in Auckland in somewhat original 70’s condition. Well serviced daily and clean. Bed was comfortable . Room due for an upgrade.

Great location. Breakfast was an added bonus and staff were lovely and friendly. Accomodation is simple but has everything you need so makes a great deal. Would stay there again with no hesitation.

The motel is old and cold, but the hosts worked hard to ensure we were as comfortable as possible and were very gracious, polite and friendly. There are only enough power points to plug in the electric blankets. Best to take a double-plug or two with you if you have a device to charge over night.

Budget motel

This is obviously a budget motel and is badly in need of updating. The bathroom was poor and the hot water in the shower ran out. It did, however, heat up again after a while. Wifi was dreadful and it seemed that the modem was turned off at night as it was impossible to use the wifi at night and early morning. The continental breakfast was included and was good. The position was convenient.

Good for what you pay. Nice quieter location compared to the rest of auck. Friendly staff. Would stay again

For me the location close to family is great, it is a little bit tied but clean and tidy, having a decent kitchen is a bonus. We will definitely use it on future visits.

Very quiet. Loved the breakfast. All towels, linens and cutlery were top grade. Needs a bit of help with the electronics side of things, would have rather had regular tv in the lounge and the sports stuff in the bedroom but that is a personal choice. others may be happy with things as they are. Lovely family owned.

Unit was clean & had everything needed for an average stay, including a continental breakfast. The property is quite old, and grounds maintenance was lacking in some areas. Proprietors were helpful.

The room is an old style motel room (brick walls) but was very clean and tidy. Only a couple of slight issues: (1) the power points were very worn out and plugs would droop or fall out if not supported. (2) Shower hot water was good but no long showers and a sign indicated that 20 minutes would be required between each shower to enable reheating. Overall, enjoyed my stay and would go back next time.

Great location. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. No cooking facilities at all, except for a microwave, and no utensils except, inexplicably, a cheese grater. Fairly noisy at all hours due to other guests. Great location. Low rating is due to the dreadful hot water policy, which sees the shower run cold if it is deemed that you have taken too long (this was confirmed by management - it’s turned back on after 15 minutes, long after your hair wash has been completed in cold water). As a paying guest, I found this to be completely unacceptable.

The property is dated and not well maintained. The receptionist closed the reception at 7:45pm, even though it should have been manned until 9pm.

It was quiet. Room was tidy and clean. We were up graded.

It was clean. That’s about all. Shower ran cold every time, even when obeying the 15-20 minute between showers rule. The pictures on their website looked very different to what I walked into.

It was value for money. Place is quiet.

Liked the ease of parking, garden and private balconies. The motel is an older style facility and is definately starting to show it's age, but in saying that, we had clean rooms and the kitchen was a bonus, but lacked basic things like a bowl to make a salad etc, (no egg cups), but we adapted and coped. Good guest laundry.

The motel was very comfortable, and the daily cleaning by staff was a bonus, with fresh towels, supplies, rubbish and recycling removed.. There were a few things that could have been attended to (no light bulb in the entrance hall, lack of a bowl to mix food or make a salad, no egg cups for boiled eggs etc, and I had to chase a cockroach out of the shower.) On the whole we enjoyed our stay, the free wi-fi and TV reception was excellent, as was the laundry facilities. We would stay there again.

Quiet comfortable ....................................

The property is old and Tired. We are elderly ady they had a room up several stairs to reach it and with heavy bags this was a mission, Check in was a tired affair with no information about breakfasts etc. there was no compendum in the room informing on the area. No street maps to find your way around. Eventually given a 1997 street map which was next to useless.

Stove was dirty had to eat out. Pool decking was dangerously close to collapsing and there was an ant 🐜 on the bread provided with the continental breakfast which was delivered the night before wrapped in a paper towel in a paper bag. The bed was hard and the mattress looked like it came from the 1970s.

Good for a visit to Auckland

Well run family motel. Handy to city. A little run down, but comfortable bed and quiet. Not the cleanest room; but not the dirtiest either.

No air conditioning and it was hot but we did get a small fan after asking for one. Photos on web site were outdated. The pool was not maintained and not able to be used. It was noisy because of other guests that we suspected were long-term tenants. One knocked on our door early one morning looking for someone. The tennis courts over the fence started early in the morning and finished late at night. The location of the motel was excellent. The motel office was unaware of our reservation when we arrived. We think possibly that it was not the motels fault.

Needs updating and some tender loving care. Garden also needs attention. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Room a bit musty on arrival but after room spray and airing it was fine. A little dated .Room clean and tidy . Nice continental breakfast Good laundry facilities . Lots of little extras like salt / pepper, toilet spray and brush . Magazines in reception . Suggest an upgrade to duvets from blankets as some a bit short on the bed. Owners were busy painting hotel to freshen it up .Value for money.

Convenient location, reasonably priced, nice pool. Not five star by any means and beds were a little uncomfortable but generally very happy with our stay.

Comfy & simple, it has all the basic necessities required. It is very accessible from both the airport & the city via public transport even, which is very much helpful if you are not looking to rent a car for a very short stay in Auckland.

Rooms were dated and needed a bit of sprucing up. Amenities were very minimal. Floor carpets, beds etc needs to be refurbished. The stay itself was undisturbed. Breakfast was included but was served the night before. WiFi was free but each voucher was only for about 400MB so not really sufficient though we were given a few. Overall, needs a good clean up and refit of the interior to bring it up to modern day standards

My second stay and I still rate it exceptional value for money. Spotlessly clean and roomy. Will certainly recommend to others.

Disappointed that the spa wasn't available. My wife has arthritis and found stairs to the toilet a hassle at night, but otherwise we were very comfortable.

Disappointing, pool was full of leaves, kitchen light and fridge didnt work, had wifi vouchers whick lasted about 15mins, considering it was most expensive place we have stayed at recently, it was in worst repair. To be fair they did seem to be working on some of the rooms. Light was fixed snd fridge replaced 2nd day.

Basic,clean, bed comfortable, 2 TV's, nice breakfast,upstairs in Unit 19, Mirror string broken, mirror left on the floor, no tissues in bathroom, no dishcloth in kitchen.No hot water the night we arrived, too late to ring. Overall great location and very quiet. small things within the Unit let it down as did the overall surroundings of the Motel, ie decking around the pool needs updating, surroundings need a total make over.

Nice and Quiet

It was easy to find and staff were welcoming. The facilities were a little dated but clean and perfectly acceptable.

Unfortunately this stay at the motel was not as good as my last stay. The hot water in the shower only lasted 5 mins, and there was a sign in the bathroom saying all guests can have a shower, but must wait 20 mins between showeres to let water heat up The tissue box in the bathroom was empty, no cloth in the kitchen for dishes and the window in the bathroom let anybody look directly at you if in the shower, when open.

Cheap Motel close to Mt Eden Village.

Basic Motel which was reflected in the price. Heating was inefficient on a cold wet night. No hair dryer in the room. Basic amenities

Home away from home

Lovely "Garden of Eden" like setting with beautiful flora and fruit trees, not to mention the bird house. Owners very accommodating to our every request. Continental breakfast fresh every morning. Loved the heated blankets since we visited during the winter.

Auckland stay - MT Eden Motel

When we arrived my husband realised he had stayed before with our children's sports team. Good accomodation of what we needed for the weekend.

Sky only worked on one night, the toilet cistern ran on until I managed to turn it off at the wall, using one plug in the room made the bedside lamp go out , there was limited hot water, the shower window was difficult to shut this making you slightly visible

It was clean but it need of some modification like double glazed windows and decorating. Staff were quite helpful it wasn't too far from Auckland City centre and airport.

Very nice stay & the help given by owners & staff & the breakfast was very nice & people should note the breakfast was included in the daily tariff. Weekend traffic was easy until 10am outside motel but we were there in the weekend but it must be hell in week days.
