Title: Exceptional Service from Shea – A Truly Memorable Stay I had the pleasure of staying at Mandarin Oriental (Macau) recently, and I want to highlight the exceptional service I received from one of the staff members, Shea. During my stay, I encountered an issue with my ferry booking through an app, and I wasn't able to receive a confirmation email. I was quite stressed, but Shea immediately stepped in to help. Not only did she assist with sorting out my booking, but she also went above and beyond by accompanying me to the harbour. There, she spoke with the receptionist when they were unwilling to issue a physical ticket, as I couldn’t access my boarding pass. Shea’s dedication and kindness were truly remarkable, and she ensured I could travel without further stress. Thanks to her efforts, my experience in Macau was made so much easier and more enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Mandarin Oriental (Macau)—the hospitality here is top-notch, and the staff is incredibly caring. If I ever return to Macau, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. MO Macau is our go-to hotel and we stay there every year. It’s quiet, intimate, and relaxing. It feels distinctively different from any other hotel in Macau. Staff is very friendly and considerate. They even know your name, which shows the depth of their hospitality. We highly recommend the place.

True 5 star hotel and easily the best hotel I’ve stayed at in the world. (I’ve stayed at a lot of 5 star places). The rooms are exceptional and spacious. Very close to the MGM and the bar is great for a late evening night cap. Highly recommend.

Everything is good. The wooden fixtures look a bit old. Consider more sports channels, say premier leagues football on the weekends.

I like the hotel very much. The staff are really nice and helpful. The most impressive is that it's an environmental friendly hotel. They try to consume less plastics, eg. the bamboo-made tooth brush and paper-form tooth paste. it's a fantastic hotel. I definitely will visit again.

We loved the Mandarin Oriental! The property is a quiet oasis with easy access to neighboring casino resorts and upscale shopping. We didn't want to stay among crowds or chaos - the Mandarin was perfect. We ventured out but knew we could return to a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel staff is wonderful - service is top notch. Additionally, the location is an easy walk to the Ruins of St Paul and the interesting neighborhood around that area.

Everything was perfectly fine except for hiring insurance that I didn't want and it said $25 and you charged me $85 even though I sent an email to cancel I see a wrong charge from the buyer like theft

Excellent service from front desk, housekeeping, pool and even technician. The rooms are clean and comfy. Will definitely stay here again.

The service and attitude of MO Macau staff is outstanding. They made the 2 nights 48 hour stay a beautiful experience which was a romantic getaway. Everything works. The hotel is situated near the old part of Macau so convenient for site seeing. Only downside is the bus depot parking lot near the property which effects the view when looking down but at night the views are quite nice. For Macau, this is a very good hotel with excellent service and not a gaming hotel

We stayed over NY as a family. Our daughter is only 18mths. We booked a room in the prow hoping to see the fireworks. MO guaranteed we would see the fireworks and we were not disappointed. They are thoughtful ensuring every amenity for our daughter was available.

Enjoyable stay, but could have been better

Mandarin Oriental is one of our beloved hotel brands. It's what all 5-star hotels should be. Our recent stay in Macau was generally pleasant. We liked what the hotel offered and its convenient location. We encountered two issues however. On arrival, we were told that our room wasn't ready. It was before 3pm, so ok. We went back around 4pm and again were told the same thing -- and that we needed to wait another 45-60 minutes. We were given a simple apology first and, only after we expressed our dissatisfaction strongly, offered to wait in the 2nd floor cafe and a free drink. We didn't get to our room until close to 5pm. So much for 3pm check-in. A couple of days later, we were at the hotel pool. One hotel staff set up the umbrellas, but didn't secure them to the bases. A sudden gust blew two umbrellas out of their bases and one of them almost smashed into our 8-year old's head. It gave us quite a scare. Despite these, we still love the hotel and will be back again. Hopefully they won't disappoint us next time.

Fun in macau

Unexpected experience from staff. I would like to thank the hospitality given from the hotel. The spa team, F&B and Front office have assisted me well during my stay. Thumbs up 4 this place ^.^ It's not a five star for no reason. F&B provides delicious food and has very friendly staff.

A one night escape to Macau

Service was very nice. Spa was fully booked so we could not enjoy. Hotel feels dates and needs a "touch up" The restaurant, Vida Rica, was not as good as I hoped. I expected more.

Same old MO

Very Mandarian Oriental :) Nice ambience! Nice view! And what surprised me the most was I was able to check in at 13:30. I meant the room was literally ready upon my arrival and I was able to walk straight to my room after checking-in!!Excellent! I would definitely come back the next time going to Macau!

CNY trip in Macao MO

Room conditions were a bit dated. Bathroom Amenity can be better. Food quality is good and tasty. Spa quality is good but the spa room was smaller than expected. Reception manager was professional and efficiency.

One of the best MO.

One of the best MO. I am a fan of MO and this property is new and fresh. Great staff and amenities as always.

Great hotel. Only issue is the shift change at the bar between Tea service and regular bar service. Hotel seemed understaffed for that transition. Many patrons had to wait 30 minutes for a drink. Efficient and prompt dispensing of alcohol is important.

A note from a happy fan

With 5 star hotels, the difference is mainly in the staff and as a repeat guest at the hotel, I was not disappointed. Like the last visit, I felt the attentive service of the staff from the moment I was met at the ferry arrival to the point I was dropped off. At every point of my stay: check-in, check-out, dinner at Vida Rica, room service was all first class. I was celebrating a birthday on this occasion and all our special requests were attended to flawlessly: flowers beautifully arranged, champagne on ice all set up in room upon arrival. All that's left to say is a big thank you to the staff and that I will definitely return

Comfortable classy hotel

The bed was really nice and comfortable, staff are very friendly. The cleanliness of the room is up to standard and other facilities are in good condition.

Recommended to stay

Good stay except the linen used was a bit stiff, the bathtub was very slippery without much handles for support and this may be a hazard for young children and the elderly. Have highlighted these issues to the management and they have replied with a thank note. Nevertheless, great stay and highly recommended!

Best City Hotel In the World

The Mandarin always blows me away. Top to bottom best hotel I have stayed at, setting a new standard for service, in room amenities and quality across the board. It is a treat to stay at the Mandarin Oriental, and I will definitely be back.

Very good but charges for Wifi

All in all very relaxing and comfortable stay. One downside is that the hotel charges for Wifi and it is not cheap.

The hotel was great overall but fr the price they should make it breakfast included to get that perfect review. I would still give the hotel a 5 star rating.

A Rare Oasis of Serenity in Macau

Great hotel close to the center of the downtown action (it adjoins the MGM Grand) with impeccable English-speaking service. Nice touches include automated curtains, a lavish bathroom with a view and shower stall/bathtub, comfortable bed and linens and 24-hour room service. It never gets busy even on the weekends, which means it's a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the downtown casinos. Finally -- the complimentary scented oil air freshener provided nightly is a nice touch.

Business only

The hotel is magnificent, clean and gorgeous. There is a very very small pool, the sun disappears at 1:30 pm. You will have to pay for internet which I find a little anachronical nowadays. There is no casino and it is 25 minute walk away from the center of town. This must be a good business hotel but I don't recommend it to couples or people who want to visit Macau.

The perfect hotel and staff.

This hotel and it's staff are wonderful. The staff is eager and willing to please. The hotel and room is as good as any.

Macau public taxis are small and can be dirty and cannot accommodate 4 large pieces of luggage. It would be good if hotel could access a better stock of taxis or a car service for short order taxi requirements.

Easter Break

We checked in at 430pm (3 pm check in time)and had to wait close to 45 mins before they could check us in as they were overbooked. Fortunately, the hotel manager understood our frustration and finally put us in an upgraded suite which has very nice views and space in the corner room. The bar was very beautiful and lovely to hangout. The breakfast restaurant was chaotic on the first day but gets better on the second day. Overall the service is generally very good except for the initial check in and breakfast experience.

Good overall, but small problem with the shower

Overall it was a pleasant stay, and the service was good. However, the shower was not functioning well - one moment the water was too hot, and the next moment it was cold water. One has to duck back and forth during the shower and it was not pleasant. Quite a surprise to come across such facilities in a luxury hotel like Mandarin Oriental.

Lakeview room offers a piece of peace that can serve as quite a nice retreat from the busy Macau life. Staff is amazingly friendly and caters carefully to your requests and needs. Hotel itself is a part of several hotels and their shopping area. Major historical tourist destinations in Macau are also just 5 minutes of ride away.

Stayed three days in Macau--Rained every day, but staying at the Mandarin Oriental which made it OK--The hotel is lovely and the staff is very accommodating . Compared to all other hotels in Macau, this is a GEM !

Nice hotel! Just stayed one night, very nice. Had a meal and drink in the hotel both very nice. Charging for the wifi is penny pinching for a hotel of this standard.

Linked to the casino and Shopping

Rather than stay at the Wynn or MGM the Mandarin Oriental is a serene place that is only a minute away form these two more busier hotels. It is attached through a common airconditioned shopping area so you can be at the center of the action any time, yet when you want a quite little retreat this is the place to be.

Great hotel but no free Wi-Fi

We loved everything about this hotel, from the personalized checkin done in your room, to very helpful staff. I could not have asked for more attentive & helpful staff that had every detail under control, they were outstanding. The room decor I thought was a little tired with the wood, but the room was large with a huge ensuite and the in-house technology was impressive. BUT most hotels now off free Wi-fi but the Mandain Oriental does not. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza CWB for 2 weeks & was cheaper & offered free Wi-fi. For this reason I would not stay there again, integrate it into your pricing structure & offer your guests it for free, better marketing that way!

Best service hotel and staff in Macau

The staff and service was exceptional and one of the best I have experienced. I travel often for work and pleasure so my feedback is based on many experiences.

Comfortable and excellent service

We were here in macau for two days with a night at the Mandarin Oriental (MO). We took a ferry from Hong Kong to Macau. A day before our triple called MO about shuttle ride. Shuttle service is 10am - 8pm and is on demand. They asked us to call them before the ferry departs. We ended up not calling, but upon arrival at MO, we found a MO representative at the hotel booth. The representative had an iPad and a cell phone to help communicate with the hotel and shuttle driver. MO representative was very courteous and brought us to where shuttle pickup location. Shuttle ride to the hotel was about 5-10 min. We were welcomed by staff, and checked in was quick. A staff accompanied us to our room. Room was very modern, spacious, and comfortable, well-stocked with toiletry and drinks. Restaurants at MO were also excellent, it was nice to relax with a drink / lunch / snack / dinner at MO. The SPA facility was awesome, tried deep sleep message very soothing. Be at the spa appointment early to take advantage of their aroma therapy shower / message hot tub / steam room. Very happy with the stay at MO. Hotel is in close proximity to MGM and Wynn. About 30 minute walk to ruins of Saint Paul.

Customer service is poor. We needed to get ferry tickets to HK airport, concierge offered to book tickets for us but neglected to tell us that there would be an additional service charge. Ordinarily we would expect the concierge at a five-star hotel to be able to book tickets for hotel guests free of charge, but in any case, we would expect them to be upfront about the charge. Wall in the shower area was not cleaned properly. Spa is comfortable but lacks the facilities and attentiveness in comparison to Banyan Tree Spa at MGM next door. Also, would benefit to have an indoor pool at the hotel.

It was brilliant.

It was our first time visit to Macau, so researched really well before deciding which hotel to stay. Then decided to stay at this hotel after long thought, becasue 1) doesn' have any casino attached to it 2)overall reputation was great. We got to the hotel before check-in time but wanted to finish the check-in procedure and went to the desk, but actually they apologised that the room wasn't ready and offered compensation drink at the cafe! Immedeately had a great feeling for the hotel. The room was just great. Had a good view, the room was spacious and they sent us Jasmine leed room perfume which smelled lovely. All the staff was so kind, enjoyed the food at the restaurant as well. Once, the room key didn't work at the elevators (need to insert the key to prerss any bottun to go up), but the staff promptly served us and we didn't feel like it was any problem. The location is also very good. It is very close to the centre casino area, and also not very far from the historic area. And the hotel next to it has a massive casino, so it is convenient for anyone who wants to visit casino. Also the hotel is attached to a luxurious shopping centre, so it was good. Overall, the hotel was quiet and gorgeous, and the location was convenient, it was really a good choice.

Mandarin Oriental in Macau - great location

We love our stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Macau. The view was beautiful. It has style. I like it - because there's no casino on the ground floor, which makes the hotel pretty unique. And if you really want to try your luck, there's an indoor path to link you to the MGM hotel next door. I definitely will choose this location again. The staff are very friendly and the bed is extremely comfort.

Mandarin - not for gamblers

My boyfriend and I wanted a weekend getaway from the bustle of HK, so we decided on MO because we wanted a non-casino hotel to avoid rowdy gambling crowd. This was an excellent choice. Upside: - new hotel - good view of Cotai strip - good location next to MGM, we can walk to Wynn, Lisboa, Senado Square, Ruins of St Paul, Macau museum etc tourist destinations. - reasonably priced - concierge is reasonably well-knowledged and able to answer most of our queries / or at least direct us to where we have in mind. - there are not as many rooms as Venetian, to me is an upside as the hotel retains a boutique feel to it. Downside: - staff are rather new, so things can get a little frantic. - the free pier pick-up didn't arrive. we didn't want to wait 15 mins for shuttle so we took a taxi which is less than MOP30 anyway, and a 5 mins ride.

Finally!

There is finally a legit 5* in Macau! The level of service and detail at the Mandarin Oriental in Macau is on par with their other hotels all over the world. The great thing about this hotel is it lacks a casino, which in Macau is very rare. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by I kid you not, 6 staff members who took our luggage and lead us up to our rooms. We were informed that we were being upgraded and we're checked into our rooms. The rooms here at the MO are enormous compared to the average room in Asia. I would say its at LEAST twice the size of the average Asia hotel room. There is a home theatre system in the room/bathroom and an ipod hook up which was ammmazing!! i want took hook that up in my bathroom too. The cake shop downstairs was also delicious! I loved how the hotel was connected to the MGM by the luxury mall. I will definitely be staying here again when I return.

Wanna stay again in the future

Everything was good except taxi service. I waited for average 30 minutes everytime I wanted to take a taxi. Good location, condition of the hotel and very comfortable. Despite no casino, it was connected to MGM casino. Next to Mandarin Oriental, there is a huge luxury shopping mall, One Century.

文華東方是品牌保證，員工態度專業，但也有啼笑皆非的情況，例如入住登記時房咭設定弄了好一陣子，我想員工嘗試了有10次，又如房間有些設備令人有些糊塗，例如桌面充電設備我懷疑有保養维修問題，充電速度比較我用自家充電池要緩慢。此外，我花了十幾分鐘才能弄清楚房間的照明如何開关。

服務真係100分，除了有小蛋糕和水果拼盤贈送之外，仲有一支紅酒，包裝很精美，很易入口，房內的餐具茶壺茶杯都很高級，有什麼需要直接WhatsApp佢哋， 5分鐘內一定有人上門過嚟幫你。黃昏時，還有人幫你開床，再補充返啲水和幫你執多一次房，非常之好。下次一定會再住呢間酒店。

3泊しました。ホテルはとにかく静かに過ごせてホテルライフを楽しみたい人には最高だと思います。スタッフの対応は皆素晴らしく､アメニティなども充実していました。目配りがとにかくきちんとなされていたホテルだと思いました。

Excelente, de los mejores Mandarin Oriental que hemos estado.

It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but there was a strong smell of cigarettes. The staff who handled my check-in offered me a room exchange, but I declined because I had already unpacked my belongings. Even though there was a warning sign prohibiting smoking in the room itself, it smelled like it was a smoking room. It was very disappointing that the Mandarin Oriental brand and trust were completely lost. Is it because it's Macau or what? impossible.

きらびやかでどちらかというと落ち着かないマカオ地区のホテル群の中で、マンダリオリエンタルマカオは、こじんまりと落ち着いた雰囲気のホテルです。またスタッフの対応も素晴らしく、快適な時間を過ごすことができました。ベイビューの部屋を選びましたが眺めも良く、満足できるホテルです。

2部屋で2泊予約したのですが、まず気になった点から、アップグレードして頂いた部屋の一つ上の階からの水漏れの音が気になりました。もう一部屋は2泊目のコーヒーカップが使用済みにも関わらず新品に交換されていなかった事です。全体的には良かったですが、2泊目の水回りの掃除がイマイチかな？と思いました。朝食も美味しかったですし、何よりマカオの中心部の喧騒から離れ、静かに過ごせた事が良かったです。
