Stopped over for 4 days on the way to Bangkok and booked this hotel as it had 5 star rating. When we checked in, we got a room that’s dusty, musky smell and there were marking on the bedsheet. We went to complaint to Expedia, took plenty of pictures of the dust. The next day the manager moved us to an upgraded room. It was super clean, gave us free breakfast for the duration of the stay. We were so happy with the service we ended up booking another 2 days on the way back from Bangkok.

Had the most wonderful stay at Fusion Suites Patong. The hotel is beautiful, so clean and classy and with every amenity you could need. The staff were so friendly and kind. We will definitely be returning!

This hotel was immaculate! Great staff, food, and location.

Highly recommend staying at Fusion Suites. The staff are the most beautiful people and looked after us so well. The food was consistently delicious, including the breakfast buffet. The complementary shuttle service into Patong was so helpful too. There is also a tourism desk at the resort and Tanya helped us book a few tours and tickets at great rates. The rooms are spacious and clean. Being on the main road, we barely noticed any traffic noise either. Incredible views of Patong too. We had the most amazing and comfortable hotel staying at Fusion. We can't wait to come back.

We enjoyed our time here the staff were very good and a great breakfast there is a shuttle bus which was really the only way to get down the hill to the town as the road was so busy the room were very nice and well equipped

Beautiful resort, nice room and friendly staff

This was the best hotel experience I have had around the world. I travel a lot, and it is nothing like feeling like you're at home. The staff was amazing from start to finish. Specifically Moana and Thanatcha. They welcomed me like sisters, and because of that I ended up extending my trip by an entire week longer. They were super knowledgeable about the area, and introduced me to their culture, traditions, and told me where to go. They went ABOVE and beyond for me each time, and I really would not have had the experience I needed if it wasn't for them. I felt like I made two sisters, and I will forever be in debt to them. The warmth made me feel at home, I loved the housekeeping staff as well, and the restaurant manager was incredible. They got my order right every time, and all of the restaurant staff was so pleasant and kind. I also was able to book my activities through the amazing Tanya, who was so nice, warm and kind. Do not look any further, you must stay here! The price, you cannot beat, and the quality is top tier. The surrounding hotels DO NOT COMPARE. I cannot wait to come back to Thailand this year and return back to my little home at this hotel.

The property and rooms are alright, it is a 3 star property not 5 star.

Disappointing experience, not recommended

Pros: 1. Nice clean rooms. 2. Good food. Cons: 1. Location, location, location -- it is just far from the city center and the beach. 2. The free shuttle service is only every 2 hours starting 10am (good luck if you want to be an early bird) and finishing 8pm. Yes, you can get Grab, but it will cost you 500 baht to go to the beach/town. 3. The shuttle bus to the beach is supposed to take 20 minutes, but in reality can take between 30 minutes to one hour!!! 4. The night I was there the 8.20pm shuttle from the beach arrived to the hotel at 9.45pm -- because the smart driver Bill decided, instead of going straight to the hotel, to go pick up his friend/guest at the Mall -- without informing 12 other guests that were on board of the shuttle bus (including a couple with a 2-year old kid). Needless to say, nobody was even there ready for pick up when we got there. The whole trip turned from 20-30 minutes to more than 1 hour! (just to get back from the beach). When I have asked to talk to manager upon arrival, he/she were not available. Nobody bothered to apologize for 1 hour trip, with 12 people on the bus sacrificed for 1 guy who was not even there! 5. Some rooms on the ground floor face the kids day care center -- on the day of arrival, there was a kid who was just walking there and banging on the glass doors of every room on the floor! Overall, I suggest you to stay away from this place -- poor location combined with transport inconvenience are just not worth it.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and it was the perfect experience. I’d highly recommended as it was close to everything , great customer service, amazing rooms. We even had our room upgraded upon check in free of charge

Staff were Amazing, very friendly. Papa welcome us with a great smile and good energy she explained the house rules and escort us to the room giving us all information we need for our stay, Ice the waitress in the breakfast greating you with good Energy positivity and that smile 😊, great asset to the hotel we miss her on her days off, the others waiters they seemed shy not very talkactive but overall they were good. This is the hitel with a great location and best sunset view. Definitely will return. Thank you for having us.

Not walkable to the city or shops. But they have a shuttle that runs every 2 hours to and from the property. Would stay at this residence again.

This is a beautiful property with extremely friendly staff. It’s up on a hill so you need a taxi or tuk tuk get around but they will book transportation for you- very easy! Amazing pools and a very cool roof top bar. You’ll definitely enjoy your stay! Highly recommend!

Pleasant staff and quiet

Love this resort.

This hotel has a gorgeous view and property and I wish I could have given it a better rating. From the 6 nights we stayed here, room service only cleaned our room twice despite having the room service sign on for extended periods of times. We had to call the front desk in order to get our room cleaned both times as well. The other thing you should be aware of—especially if renting scooters—is that the hotel is located at the top of a hill with two blind corners on both sides with heavy oncoming traffic. I had multiple close calls pulling in and out of the hotel parking lot. Aside from room service and the blind corners, the hotel staff was friendly and the property views are beautiful.

Used to be amazing, not it's just ok

I've stayed at Mai House Patong Hill many times before. Unfortunately this time was my last. This place is great while you stay in the Patong area, just up the hill and a bit away from all the crazy loud noise. They have a free shuttle that takes you down to the beach and mall. The resort itself didn't look as stunning as it used to. It's worn down a bit. Our room was beautiful but the beds are to hard, causing pain. They used to have free refillable jars of snacks and the fridge used to be full of cool free stuff. Now just a few items in the fridge. The bathtub is amazing but the water ran orange. You had to wait a long time for the water to clear. The light above the bathtub would not turn off when it was time for sleep. We contacted front desk, it was 11:30pm and they quickly sent someone to check but he had no clue what to do, so it was pointless. The light did not turn off and they would not move us to a new room. So we did not sleep much because of the brightness. Upon check out, they barely compensated us until I made a fuss. Then gave us our 400tb of room service for free. I would of rather had a refund for that night, since it was the hotels fault. The food at the breakfast buffet has also gone down, hot dog wieners as "Sausage" and cold food. We wanted to stay after breakfast to play cards at the table but they turned off the AC, which made the room unbearably hot, we had to leave. The hotel rooftop bar was closed and the service was not top notch like it used to be

We could have asked for a better stay- the hotel was clean and the staff were amazing and friendly. There is a reliable And regular free shuttle bus every hour into the town centre and beach which was so helpful. A bonus was the minibar in the room filled with 3 big waters sodas and beer which was refilled everyday for free! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed stay!

The property was beautiful. They had a 2 story pool, gym, spa center, a bar, restaurant, and even a tour booking agent. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Our mini bar fridge was broken for about 2 days before someone came and replaced it. Also, everything is complementary in the room and they restock it everyday. They also have these cute robes and beach tote that you can use. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay here again

This is the 2nd time here and I was made to feel so welcome. The staff here are fantastic, Kate at reception ensured it was a smooth process and took care of everything (please pass on my thanks). The room is outstanding along with all the facilities and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Love the complimentary soft drinks and beer, breakfast is fit for a king and i highly recommend the Green Curry from the restaurant. The shuttle bus runs every hour until 22:00 if you fancy the crazy night life in Patong but I loved chilling on the roof bar watching the sun set. MAI HOUSE cannot wait until next year. Thank you.

This was such a great hotel, sad we only were able to stay one night, but the amenities were great. The only downside to this hotel was the fact that geckos were coming in and out of our room. I know it can be impossible to conceal the rooms, however it didn’t really allow me to relax at night. The rooms are excellent and lovely amenities. A little far from the city but they provide a free shuttle service to and from the malls which was perfect.

Our stay was short but sweet

Me and my partner stayed or 1 night. Extremely welcoming staff when we arrived, we were early for check-in however allowed us to use showers and freshen ourselves up after a very long flight. Room was clean, spacious with air con, a small kitchen area had a minibar which could be bought and complimentary water. A water ferry was a minute walk which situated you by the Grand Palace however Taxi Drivers/ tuc tuc struggled to find the hotel due to its back street location. Breakfast was buffet based with some tasty dishes and extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Would recommend for a short stay.

The property was beautiful. Great top view of Patong. A little far from the main parts of town (i.e. walking distance) but they have a tuk tuk service that takes you downtown or to the beach every hour The gym was great and the spa services were wonderful!

Nice little place but less than ideal location

Room is pretty decent. Location bit far from everything. Good that they have free shuttle service every hour. Would have rated them GOOD but was disappointed with the service by the front desk. Informed her that they have forgotten to replenished the beer in the room mini bar, but she insisted they had done so. She was very unfriendly when replying.

The water in the jacuzzi was not clean and had a deep yellow color. We call to the hotel and they said they gonna fixed it. after 15 minutes they said that the problem is fixed and that i need to open the tap for 5-10 minutes. I opened it much more time and still had deep yellow water. i called the hotel and they say that tommorow they gonna fix it. (so how they fixed it before?) one day later we came back after a long trip to the room at the hotel, opened the faucet and still got dirty yellow water. We called again the hotel and they say that they are checking. they call again and say its a problem in all of Phuket. It my second time in Phuket i never got dirty and yellow water. And why they told me that the problem was fixed? How much disapointment altough that the hotel is really looks good

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. This hotel had a nice ambience and I really enjoyed my stay. The only negative is that you are not able to walk into patong as the hotel is on a main road. The hotel however does provide a free shuttle bus which suited my needs.

great experience... beautiful stay... looks brand new very clean the best view of Patong from up the hill... central to many locations... free mini bar... I watched my favourite show on the tv while I was soaking in the bathtub. polite staffs(100%)--> the whole team(6 -8 of them) came out to my doorstep and surprise me with a lovely cake candle for my anniversary. my loved ones feedback to me to book this hotel for the entire trip if we are coming to Phuket again. worth for the value I paid and more.

Perfect nice buffer from crazy Patong

All of the staff is very nice. Perfect pool with a little view. There is also a rooftop bar. Comfy bed. Free shuttle to beach and city center. I would stay here again for sure :)

Service is really only so-so, the staff is polite but I feel like it’s not genuine. They do the minimum service wise and I do not feel warmly welcomed. The shuttle into patong and back operates every hour, but you have book in advance as it tends to get full. Quite an inconvenient location if you wanna explore Patong. Taxis in Phuket is really expensive for some reason, so I suggest to stay in Patong to avoid the inconvenience. Other than that, hotel amenities are quite good. View is great, and the deluxe room is quite big.

The room was beautiful and the free shuttle bus was great . When we enquirerd the price of taxi to the airport it was nearly double what we paid outside, this was way to excessive.

Worth Visit

Breakfast was included in our hotel stay but it would be worth it to come here anyway. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone. Exceptional selection of fresh fruit, eggs, meats, etc waffles, pastries and made-to order omelettes. However hotel reception area has a bad/sewage smell especially in our room .

Very nice hotel with beautiful view. Good for relaxing. Everything is new. Staffs are pleasant at all times. Pool not too big but suffice. Frequent freeshuttle to Patong beach and Jungceylon is a big plus. In room daily replenish of snacks and drink very welcoming. Breakfast spread is fresh. We enjoyed the sausages, cheese platter, fresh milk, eggs cooked to your liking. Salad spread was fresh. One day we got to try their milky curry which tasted very good. There have different kinds of soup daily. We enjoyed all of them. Don’t forget to order your latte or cappacino, hot or cold for breakfast.

I would definitely book here if I were to go back to Thailand in the future. This hotel was amazing. I loved the skydeck, the comfort and quiet of the room (I was in Block 7), the many choices for breakfast, the gym, being only 12 mins from town, the great views and the very accommodating, helpful and friendly staff. The only thing I would like to change is to have champagne and soda water also included on the drink menu on the skydeck. I was disappointed I couldn't get champagne. 9/10 from me.

Wonderful as Always

Stayed 3 nights alone. They welcomed me back with warm smiles and a welcome back home message in my room. I was upgraded for free and sent fruit. The room is spacious, the bed is just ok for Asia( all beds are hard), the tub is wonderful on those rainy nights. TV has English movie channels. The AC works well. The cleaning staff does a great job at keeping the room clean. I enjoyed my balcony sitting watching the rain at night. As for the staff, they are incredibly attentive, always smiling and respectful. The pool is a great place to unwind and relax. The buffet breakfast was always really delicious. I ordered room service a few times, pretty good. Used the spa as well, Loved the hot oil hair scalp massage! Prices are ok for hotel spa. Had a massage and was not impressed. The lady actually almost fell asleep while giving me a foot rub! she must of been to over worked. I have been here at the Mai house 3 times and will continue to go back when I need to get away and relax. 5 stars....and that says a lot. I'm very picky!

Nice hotel room , delicious breakfast, nice bath tub at room

The could be a great place however we had 2 things that ruined our trip. First the toilet was blocked when we arrived so we had a horrible smell for the 4 nights we were there even after it was unblocked. Secondly I got severe food poisoning from the food on my last day, and took me out for 2 days. Do not eat here. A shame as otherwise it was a great place

My family like Mai house

I booked online reservation for my sister and mom. They loved stay in Mai house. Breakfast was delish! Good facilities and free shuttle bus every hour to beach. If I travel to Thailand I may stay there

Little Gem

Mai House is lovely, nice location, but a little bit out of Phuket. But they offer a free shuttle into town and the beach. It runs on the hour, you just book it at reception. Great place to stay, awesome roof top bar, with views of the town an sea. I highly recommend.

There are a few issues

Generally good hotel but a few issues. Smelly pipes (toilet), warm refrigerator (we needed to chill the drinks in the sink with ice), dangerous outside road, generally caters to Chinese clients, rooms were smaller than imagined - not very private if taking a poo with just a curtain to cover. Balcony was nice overlooking the forest - except sometimes can smell someone smoking, lots of cumbersome stairs (no elevator). And strangely booming base coming from the valley that spoils the serenity - not sure if that is ongoing or just through the 5 nights we stayed.

Wonderful Hotel

The staff is amazing! It is obvious that they really care about the well being of their guests. Just very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is also very beautiful. It's up in the hills so set away from the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach but only a free short hotel shuttle away. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great hotel made a great holiday

Room was very spacious and clean and come with free breakfast and mini bar including beer. The free shuttle bus to patong was great. There was a terrace with good sunset view over the city. Would definitely recommend to Friends.

IT WAS PERFECT SOME THE STAFF WAS GREAT. I SMOKE CIGARS SOME OF THE STAFF WOULD TAKE UP THE ASHTRAY. SO I CANT SMOKE AND YOU HAVE SMOKING AREA. LOVE THE HOTEL.SOME OF THE STAFF WAS GREAT.

Very comfortable hotel in a quiet spot

Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, and it was amazing! It is located on the hill where it takes about 10 min from the patong beach by tuktuk. They run free shuttle bus to the city center every hour, so we didn't need to spend much for the transportation. Hotel staff was very nice and kind, room was kept clean all the time, food at the restaurant was fantastic, and they offer free breakfast with a wide range of international food. We truly enjoyed our stay at mai house patong hill, and we will definitely go back to this hotel next time we visit Phuket! Thank you very much for everything!

Nice & comfort staying

Fabulous hotel, perched on a hill and away from the hustle and bustle of town area. The view from the sky bar is amazing. The room is big, clean and free mini bar which was topped up daily! The hotel provided free shuttle bus to/from Jungceylon & Patong Beach which takes 10mins. The staff was very friendly and professional.

The best of the best.

We stayed here with our two young boys for 9 nights, as we visited Patong for a friends wedding. The facilities were beautiful, clean, new and extremely well maintained. Visiting in early Feb the hotel was peaceful, not too busy until the pace quickened for Chinese New Year, where there began to be much more life around the place. The staff are all so immensely lovely, every single one. They treated our two little boys like princes the entire duration of our stay, and genuinely seemed disappointed to hear we were checking out. The complimentary mini bar in the room was insane! We just thought it was so great. The cleaners did a great job on the room each day. We had a beautiful breakfast every morning where the breakfast service was always immaculate. We ordered room service once, and ate at the Opium Den (the in house restaurant) once. I had quite possibly the best Thai green curry I might ever have. Price wise the food is on the high side compared to Patong restaurant rates but nothing crazy, it is a five star hotel so that goes with the territory. It was phenomenal food. As our friends wedding was at another bigger 5 star in Patong 'The Amari' we got to have a look around there. It was nice but given the choice again there is no doubt we would love to stay in Mai House again. Great place, great people, great stay! :)

Wish could stay longer

Loved this hotel a lot, friendly staff, good size room, beautiful design inside and out, comfy bed and bath tub, free mini bar snacks and drinks. Breakfast has lots varieties. The view in the hotel itself are very pretty, the bar, pools, lobby etc. They have international power sockets on the wall, so no need of adaptor. Location of the hotel is next to the busy road, can't walk to food or shops. It offers free shuttle bus to patong central area every hour, but you need to book in advance. There were lots chinese speaking tourists during our 3 nights stay, the nights were a bit noisy as they running around in the corridor, the pool talking and yelling. But it was not the hotel's fault. The only negative part of this hotel was our shower room had damp smell, due to poor ventilation, the fan didn't help much. Maybe the hotel should work on this. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, will definitely return if visit phuket again.

Excellent

From the start to the end our experience was flawless. They greet you with a refreshing fruit juice and walk you to your room. They refill your mini-fridge everyday with water, beer & sodas!!! Amazing! The views leave you breathless. The breakfast is great & the service is amazing. The cleanliness of the hotel overall is perfect.

Our experience at mai house was lovely. Great staff, friendly hospitality and in a wonderful location. The resort offered easy access to the main centre of Phuket which we found convenient. I would definitely recommend to others.

3 nights stay

Overall stay was satisfactory. However, the shuttle bus service was always late and some staff are young and lack in customer service experience. For a 5 stars hotel, breakfast needs to have more variety .

Lovely place with amazing sky bar

The place was lovely and the staff were very nice. We absolutely love the sky bar, it's perfect for stargazing with a drink! We got a complimentary mini bar as well so that's a plus! The service is a bit off though, we sometimes did not have replacement for small things such as hand towels and flip flops after cleaning. Also, the place is not near Patong so guests have to take a 15 min free shuttle to town everytime.

The hotel was very clean and the room was large. It was very good value for the price and the shared spaces (i.e. bar, pool and restaurant) were very nice as well. Large selection for breakfast; however, most of the food was cold and we arrived at 6:30, which was at the very start of breakfast.

I Really Felt At Home At Mai House!

Upon arrival, you're greeted by very welcoming staff and a refreshing cold beverage. Staff were very attentive and accommodating and friendly. Absolutely beautiful views from the room. The lighting is the room is dim to create a spa atmosphere, but hard to see sometimes. The ONLY downside is that the hotel is not located in a safe walking distance from the town and shops. We had to use the hotel shuttle or taxi to get around, rather than being able to explore by walking around. But overall, Mai House is Phuket's best kept secret and I'd love to go back!

Ants...

Our first day was unique. The power immediately went out at the flick of a light switch. We had to call the front desk 3 times to have a staff member return power to our room. That took an hour of our time. After power was returned and we unpacked our things we noticed hundreds of very small ants/bugs running along the bottom of the shower. We first noticed them when I went o blow my nose and 20-100 scurried from under the tissue box and tissue. They were all over the back of the sink and trying to scramble towards our toiletries we just put down. I called to have room service clean the room again and handle the ants... They didn’t come clean the room till the following day. After room service came they cleaned the room and majority of the ants/bugs were removed. My wife and I killed more but, very few remained. Now, yes, I did ask to move rooms and they said due to high season we couldn’t move. I explained my situation and asked for a credit for 1 full day or an extra day (past or booked dates) free. Again, they just stared at me and said sorry it’s high season. Outside of that issue the service was great, staff was friendly, food was great. I don’t like to complain a lot, just felt a normal 5 star hotel would have credited me for at least one day. I mean, you forced your guest to stay in a room that had issues and didn’t offer a resolution. I would say, maybe 3 star, and or lower prices if this is normal practice.

Incredible, fabulous, stunning. A must stay!

This hotel, feels like a resort was insane. I don't even want to tell people about it, so the hotel doesnt get busy and hike up prices lol. The hotel is just outside of Patong, up a hill. It's quiet and quaint. They have a free shuttle every hour to bring you down to the main area. If you pay for a tuk tuk 300. The breakfast is free and really good. The staff is soooo nice. The service is awesome. Thanks to Mr. Kong! The bar restaurant area by the pool is chill and the food is really yummy. The spa is great, I used it a bunch of times, prices are all decent for a hotel. The pool was refreshing and wonderful. Our room was so cool. Lovely tub and shower. The beds are to hard for me but they did bring up extra padding for me. ( I have a spinal injury) Asian beds are terrible for me. I didn't really like the bathroom is open to the room. You can separate it with a curtain. But it's not private. So if you share a room...lol. The room was very spacious. The TV Channels were great for late night movie watching after a long day out. We had a balcony which over looked the pool and you would see the city. Room 1203. I can't say enough about this place. I will be going back. I just hope the rates stay at good at they are. We paid $114 cnd a night. Which is incredible for what we got.They even give you free mini bar fridge. Refill everyday. Clean everyday. Room service is great. All just wonderful. I miss being there already!! My husband and I travel a lot. And this place takes the cake.

Great stay but a bit far from center

The hotel is great, clean, comfy and with a nice view! Very good room service! The SpA is very good as well. The Location is bit far about 10-15min by car from the centre. But they provide hourely shuttle until 10pm. Restaurant staff need more training & may be faster service as well

Nice Hotel. Too far away from the action on the Beach. FOOD....TERRIBLE!!! THE "MAI" BURGER...MADE ME VOMIT!!!!

New hotel that needs to work on it

Good: Hourly shuttle to and fro Patong Located away from the sleazy places, new. Bad: Noisy at night with the road noise from the main road. Strong sewage smell from the toilet which really stinks and made the stay uncomfortable we had to constantly air the room, leaving the balcony door open when we r out. Despite that the smell still lingers and there’s nothing much the staff can do about it the spraying of disinfectant only helped for 10mins. We avoided using the room toilet as much as we can which was ridiculous. The breakfast was not good, despite the spread the food was not delicious.

Fantastic Experience!

Really loved staying here! The service of the staff were excellent! They offered to booked transport and help make reservations for when we wanted to eat out of the hotel. We also loved the fact that the minibar was free and they replenished it Everyday. They also offered free hourly shuttles to the beach and mall. The hotel also has an amazing view of the sea! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice Hotel with Great Staff

We stayed for 3 nights and are delighted that we chosen Mai House for our stay. The staff are professional and ready to help. Is a good place for relaxing not too far away from Patong Beach. They also provide shuttle to Jucelyon Mall and Patong Beach.

Beautiful hotel, lovely facilities, stunning views of Patong and the rainforest, friendly staff, and incredible breakfasts every morning. My only qualm was that the room wasn't always swept or mopped, however, we are very clean ourselves so it wasn't a major issue. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will always come back to Mai House.

Too many Chinese tourist which arrives in bus loads. The staffs thought my wife and I are Mainland Chinese as we are Asian looking and treated us very cold. Not a pleasant experience especially when we are traveling for holiday.
