Rubbish hotel
Poor check in process, dirty tired room, very basic breakfast. Should be a good hotel but so badly managed.
Great pool!
Fantastic pool experience! Some sunny spots, shady spots, deep areas and shallow ledges for little ones to bask safely. Apartment-wise it is a bit old and dated but perfectly functional, spacious (by hk standards) and clean. Beds were a bit hard and aircon a bit noisy. Breakfast hosts simply allocated us a table but did not point out where all the food was as some of it was outside the main dining area which we didn't know until day 2. Plenty of other food options about 10-15min walk or a short taxi ride to Whampoa.
Not clean
I was very dissapointed after checking into the room. The kitchen, fridge, microwave, washing machine seems to be very old. The aircon in one of the rooms gave off a very bad smell. The room was not clean enough. The walls and floors are shabby. Not much charging slots. I checked out the same day as I coudn’t stay any longer. Good part was the staff was understanding and helpful. They understood my concerns and cooperated well. Thank you!
Great 2 bed apartment . Great view of the harbour. Very quite room . Would recommend to all my Australian friends .
This is perfect accommodation for families. The free shuttle to shops and station gives lots of options to explore. Wonderful views of the HarbourFront and walking distance to a selection of restaurants. If our family travels back to Hong Kong we will definitely use this hotel again. We are a family of eight traveling we had two family rooms and iur ages ranged from thirteen yrs to seventy eight yrs. the sitting area In iur rooms gave us the opportunity to come together as a family
The breakfast was bad. The pastries at the breakfast were cheap and stale. There was no fruit at the breakfast. They had the gall to offer fruit and good pastries for sale right next to the breakfast buffet. Service was Ok but not friendly or welcoming.
Very nice hotel. Were disappointed that the pool was closed. That was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel. Other than that, cant fault the place. Would definitely stay again or recommend to anyone.
Got upgraded to a seabird room and appreciated it.
Very clean, staff were polite and helpful. The only downside is the beds, very hard mattress.
Pool was closed lot of rules everywhere, good breakfast
Room has so clean all hotel staffs so nice, transportation and breakfast Just Ok.
pleasant and relaxing although a bit far away from MTR
No facilities, swimming pool under maintenance. Only left a small cafe can take barely acceptable food. They should have some small convenient store around to support their client, cause it really not near to any of the building or store to have food or daily supplies. The equipment in room are all old and a little faulty. The only good thing is they provide shuttle services to town area
Clean and Comfortablefor family of 4.
Family of 4 staying in a 2 bedroom suite. The bedroom are a bit small to my comfort but the living room/dinner area compensate for the small rooms. most of our luggage are in the living room instead. The kitchen do have hobs, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Iron and board are also provided. he only drawback is that there is only 1 bathroom, so queueing happens every day.
Good to stay with kids. Price is average. Furnitures are little bit out of date.
I love the location of this hotel. Their staffs are easygoing.
Good place to stay for family with small children.
Location is good. They upgraded me to ocean view room. Excellent customer services.
I like the setting of the room - two bedrooms, sitting room and the kitchen.
Lot of space with 2bedroom suite. Nice waterfront promenade. Many nice restaurants nearby.
The location is very convenient. The room is a bit old and the air conditioner has a smell.
Overpriced and under delivered
We booked the hotel well in advance and paid upfront non-refundable. We primarily booked this because of the lovely pictures of the pool area which was important to us with kids. We wanted a good place to chill at the end of the day. However upon checkin we were informed the pool was closed from the day of checkin for Nov/Dec/jan/feb 2019/2020. So although hot, no pool. We were told we could catch a shuttle bus to the sister hotel to use the pool but definitely not a good option. Apart from this the breakfast was fine. It had a good shuttle bus service into main area but beware of the grumpy drivers. The beds were exceptionally hard and the rooms were very tiny. Also no good restaurant options if you want to eat in. I would not stay here again.
Disappointed on check in to be informed that the pool would be closed from the 1st November till 31st March for annual maintenance
Top class property. Highly recommended. If they can have better restaurant service, it will be perfect.
The rooms are extremely basic and the main bedroom is tiny - so small the small double bed is wedged in so you can only access it from one side. It’s really a 2-3 star hotel at best.
Perfect for a family
Amazing service. There is some sulfur type smell due to the proximity of the bay. Piping and water pressure could be better. Washer/dryer was horribly inefficient (took 4 2hr cycles to dry). Waterfront views amazing and lounge/pool areas huge. He suites are perfect for families and to meet up with friends or family in the living area.
Buffet breakfast was terrible, poor selection & served stale pastries. Cleanliness an issue too. Airport shuttle service unreliable.
Beds were hard, room had full kitchen but no cutlery or plates, had to request towels for swimming, café food options poor, no info provided on local amenities and food options
The photos of the rooms shown do not represent the actual premises. We had to ask the cleaning staff to redo our room it was very dirty. It was a very disapointing experience. The breakfast was sub standard so we ate at a nearby hotel. Places in the Hotel smelt like open sewerage. I would advise others when booking to take a good look at the reviews online. I would also advise them to look at the cut and paste replies from management.
The Hallway for the floor have a weird moldy smell. The hotel needs a better ventilation system. The first floor guest bathroom is dirty.
Incredibly happy with the hotel rooms and facilities. The concierge and staff are always happy and pleasant to deal with.
Bad front desk service
Spacious suites, excellent shuttle service, friendly staff,
Lobby looks grand but the apartment looks less grand. Nevertheless, it's still a very decent one that fits for family needs.
Hotel looks ok on first look on entering reception and wven to the lifts. But once in the room it was horrible. The "suite" just felt dirty. Curtains dont fit window and are filthy. Bathroom very old fashioned and awful shower. The seating area was old and had dirty feel to it. So so glad we only had 1 night there.
Staffs nice, but property is poor . Air is not fresh. Not as what we expect. We spent HKD6,300 for 2 night is not cheap, but got a tiny room. We will get hit by turn around when sat on toilet seat.
The hotel and rooms were very clean and the free shuttle service was excellent. However most of the staff looked miserable and a smile and friendly service is very important. Breeakfast was very poor and they do not realky cater for vegetarians or vegans. When my wife asked the chef offered her sliced tomatoes!
The swimming pool was good size but we were very disappointed with it closing early (at 6pm). We had quad room and the furniture was old and had unusual odour. We were also disappointed with tv picture not being clear.
Took my money even though I couldn’t fly there because of HK strikes. Refused refund. Simply don’t care.
There was no crockery or utensils at all for the kitchen even though there was a cook top and a microwave and frig.
The pool was very nice. The shuttle service to the sister hotel and TST was nice as well. Elite looking uards were stationed outside and gave a safe feeling during the HK protests. The harbor view is very nice and there is a walkway just in front of the hotel. Didn't like the room that felt like a dorm room. We had a 2 bedroom. Breakfast was a motel 6 quality breakfast. You know it is clean and quality but not much to choose from. The hotel is out of the way of anything like a 7-11. The staff was mostly good natured and a bit more tolerant of my family with 3 kids than expected. The staff also appears to care about the hotel property as if it were their own. That is intended as a compliment.
very nice place to stay the price ok they have free shuttle to the main street. And close to ferry.
The hotel offers free shuttle to the harbour which is convenience.
July 2019 Kowloon Visit
Nice views of Hong Kong Island and Hung Hom Bay. Within walking distance of the subway system and some ferry service.
Odd room layout with nowhere to put suitcases. Shuttle buses don’t go to this hotel after about 10pm and it was really difficult to find. I had emailed the hotel ahead of time to ask but did not receive a response. Shame the pool closes at 6pm! Absolutely dreadful breakfast with no fresh fruit whatsoever
Drying function was not working and the instruction manual can not be followed.
Spacious, Clean, Bad Sofa
The room is spacious and clean. It is terribly uncomfortable to sit on the sofa in the living room as there are missing cushions. The cleaning staff advises us to use pillows to give support. I suffer backache. Hotel should seriously look into this.
Spacious room but limited items in the kitchenette. Very quiet and we had a top floor room with a great view of the harbour. The mini bus runs to the subway but it’s often full beyond capacity at peak times. Line up early. The pool has very limited opening times and closes too early in the evening. We were disappointed not to have a refreshing dip after a long hot day experiencing HK. Helpful staff and safe and secure. Not a bustling location so perfect if you like it quieter.
Service could improve
Unfortunately the pool was not open and that was the reason we picked this hotel. The front desk service was not great. The staff appeared quite in experienced. The man on the door was very helpful with tips where to visit
Inconvenient location. Pool inoperable for duration of stay. I will be seeking recourse for a full refund due to advertised pool not being provided as detailed in our booking. Shuttl
Good stay in Harbourfront
15 mins walk to MTR is acceptable. Got free shuttle to Tsim Sha Tsui. The latest bus is 11:00pm,if it can run until 12:00 is better. Their family room size is bigger than other hotel family room. .
The property was clean, staff were fantastic and very helpful. Pool facilities amazing just disappointing that the pool closed at 6pm, and the pool area was very slippery. Also no amenities in the apartments, eg toaster, cooking utensils.
We specifically chose this hotel based on its pool, but the pool had been drained while we were there and we were VERY disappointed
Self contained unit however no cutlery is supplied
Our booking was for 2 adults and 2 child with double/queen and twin sizes bed but when we checked into hotel. The front desk told us was a single bed. And asked us to show the website photo of the bed where we booked from hotel.com. they claimed that the site provided wrong pictures of the beds info. We can only checked in at 5pm while they resolve the issues and give us another room for upgrading or less will charged extra HK600 for another bed.
Great location and very spacious. This was our second stay there and the view of the Harbor was spectacular.
Spacious with sea view. But no utensils provided. Best if they have a carpet floor instead of tiles which give it cold feeling and less like other hotel. overall, i like the hotel and will come back
Amazing harbour view and very helpful friendly staff
Very nice view nice area I would stay here again. One thing that wasn’t good was washer with no dryer
upgraded to oceanview two bedrooms with kitchen. Clean and comfortable beds.
Facilities of the hotel is fine, a little worn out already though the hotel is less than 5 years old. I do not like its inflexibility in terms of date change due to unexpected circumstances. The hotel refuses to make any accommodations and suggest us to cancel the booking without any refunds. In addition, it is located in a quite remote area. Its shuttle services are only available after checking in and after you check out, you are not entitled to use their shuttle to go back to the city.
Average likely will not stay there again
Bed is small, room is basic It is quite a walk to MTR station without shelter so we need to rely on shuttle bus to take us to Hung Hom Station when it rains. Lift has no security so anyone can go up to the room level Staff is helpful n friendly View is great facing harbour n quiet Pool n club house is a good add for kids
The service it’s very good . The pool it’s great and the location of the hotel
Tidy, good for the price. Close to transport options and shops
Absolutely loved my stay extended it from 3 to 5 days..courteous staff..amazing property..view from the room..shuttles from the hotel..very very comfortable..it was superb
The location was excellent as we had gorgeous views over the river, close to most things and the shuttle buses are great as we got dropped at the designated area and we then off in foot exploring. Had requested a kitchenette and washing machine but got a kitchenette with no crockery, cutlery etc and no washing machine. After asking about these requirements (which I stipulated when booking) so got upgraded to a full kitchenette. This involved a frying pan, 1 x saucepan, 4 x dinner plates and 4 bowls with 3 forks, 4 spoons and 2 butter knives. Also 1 x sharp knife and an old stained chopping board. Very basic cooking/eating equipment but we did use the kitchenette so suited our simple needs. Housekeeping staff are awesome and really went out to make us feel welcome. Ben was lovely and assisted us. Friendly, smiling faces from most staff yet there was some staff who looked less than impressed to be on reception. Definitely more positive experiences than negative ones.
We stayed in a Quad room which was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen and dining areas were roomy enough as we ate in the room most nights and were out all day. We had breakfast included which was great and there was a good variety. The pool was refreshing to swim in and was large enough to feel like you were swimming on your own. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
great view, we upgraded to the harbour view room. need to catch the free mini bus into town or the local shopping centre, nothing around the hotel.
Location for this hotel is great, its along the bay facing Hong Kong Island. Free shuttle bus provided to Tsim Sha Tsui city. If convenient shop, e.g. 7eleven is within walking distance <5mins, it will be great!
Location not the best have to get shuttle bus in and out of city or to the train station. No restaurants close by to walk too. Pool is freezing cold and hot tub not hot. The staff (Ben) was very helpful
Location was great. Playroom was good, but they closed it for cleaning twice a day. Breakfast was ok, but for a long stay got very boring as there wasn’t much change. Accommodation was small and basic, old tv with minimal channels. The sofa was very uncomfortable.
Very small rooms and part of a big apartment block with permanent residence, double room was very small
Their room has a spacious lounge, great view of the harbour
Only cleaned what you can see. For example, didn't sweep under the sofa or wiped under the toilet seat. For some reason, the soap tray in the bathroom was never cleaned either. The room smelt of cigarette. We picked this place because it had a kitchen but no information upfront that you need to be 4 adults to get kitchenware with the kitchen. We were 3 adults and 1 child so we had an "empty" kitchen which we couldn't use because it had nothing.
Spacious but older property. Most cleaning staff cannot converse in English. Our dryer (in suite) wasn’t working and they just kept saying the same basic instructions to use it instead of fixing it. We gave up at the end of it! Staff is not that courteous
Excellent location. Awesome restaurant. Free shuttle to the tourist place, Tsim-Sha-Tsui. Swimming Pool. Can't ask for a better place for a family. Highly recommend.
Just ok...trouble with checkin, we were moved twice. Sizeable deposit taken on all three rooms even though they have been paid in full, 7 days later still not returned. Breakfast inclusion very average, no fruit in sight. No mention of amenities that we had to discover on our own. Too far to walk to anywhere but shuttle bus was useful. Would stay elsewhere next time.
Rooms are small dated and everything in them is uncomfortable.
Very good beds, shame no Jacuzzi because, even though the pool is beautiful, Hong Kong just happened to be cold when we visited.
Deposit
They ask us for HKD2500 deposit and swipt my card. I checked out 5 days ago and they still have not cancel the transaction.
Great family hotel!
This was a great hotel for families. They really cater towards the kids. The amenities were great and the location is wonderful. It was right on the harbor so we could walk back to our hotel after dinner. The staff was super friendly. Our room wasn’t the cleanest (very dusty) but that was a minor issue when looking at the overall experience of our stay. We would definitely stay there again if we ever come back to Hong Kong.
Family
Great place staying at everything would need location great and shuttle bus to and from MRT Only thing is other guests loud while walking hallways and even told housekeeping personal be quiet at 8pm talking other worker down hallway Other then that it’s great place and looking forward back again
Comfortable, great location
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good location. Room was good for a family with 2 separate bedrooms, but a lack of storage. Okay for a short trip. TV didn’t work; remote was changed but still didn’t operate. Bathroom adequate. Pool area lovely but pool towels not provided (had to ‘borrow’ extra from unattended housekeeping trolley!) and not enough sun beds. However great location and a really good hot/cold buffet buffet breakfast included.
The Best Stay Book Again
Amazing Front Desk Staff
Rooms were late being ready. They were clean and spacious
Staffs were very unkind and breakfast was poor. Facilities of the hotel were uncomfortable.
Harbour Front Hotel Suites Kowloon
Apartment was very clean and well laid out and had plenty of storage. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Every thing you could want in an apartment hotel. We had a free upgrade to harbour view which was fantastic and much appreciated. Staff were very polite, courteous and helpful. Free shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui for trains and buses for onward travel to tourist spots. The hotel provided a buffet breakfast for HKD70 and the bar had happy hour in the evenings. The only negative was that the matresses on the beds were a bit too firm for my personal liking, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping as the pillows were so comfortable. The pool was closed till 01 APRIL. One thing I'm surprised at is that we didn't see any rubbish bins for recycling paper or plastic - such a shame not to be environmentally friendly these days.
The hotel is very good for family. I have 3 adults and a baby. I have requested to have extra beds and they are very nice and offer 1 double bed and 2 single beds so that I can sleep with my baby. The hotel is not close to busy area so it’s quite and with nice sea view. It’s still good that I can go to Tsim Sha Tsui by shuttle bus.
Don't offer an electric converter while others offer
Breakfast was very disappointing. Cold powdered eggs and cold sausage. Shuttle pickup and drop off a bit confusing. Seats on shuttle very small!
Location was great. Free shuttle bus was amazing. Hotel could do with a little makeover otherwise very nice. Staff are well trained and polite. Couldn't do enough for us. Yes we would stay again.
Generally disappointing in many ways - room air conditioner leaked for 2 days before it finally got fixed during our 5-night stay but on last day stopped functioning. Toilet old - toilet seat was stained yellow that was how poor it was. For a 2 BR family room for 4, one bedroom had no wardrobe! Finally only the staff at reception were friendly, the staff at the cafe in particular need re-training to underand that grumpy faces first thing in morning at breakfast is very unappetizing. Also we checked with them specifically re last order for dinner at the cafe (8.45pm we were told) but were told point blank kitchen was already closed when we went down at 8.40pm - badly organized for a cafe that is supposedly open to serve dinner. Lastly location was ok and there is a shuttle service however there was often such long queues in the morning that we would have to wait for the next run which was another 20mins wait. Otherwise it’s a 20min walk into town at Tsim Sha Tsui. Even the wait for a taxi was long.
Unbeatable view!
Every time I come to Hong Kong with my kids I will stay at this hotel. Two bedroom suit is just perfect for a family. And the view from our room is just amazing.
Free shuttle bus was very useful. Lovely location on the Harbourfront with nice view from our room. Breakfast was adequate- lacking fresh fruit. Hotel staff at taxi point were generally helpful but otherwise staff were not particularly friendly.
Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms especially for long stay
Room was kind of basic and dated, albiet it clean and big, with 2 separate bedrooms and view of river. Nice hotel actually but lots very loud people stayed on our floor with no sense of decorum and cooked in their rooms with room doors open for us all to enjoy.
Hotel in Hk
This is my first time as a VIP GOLD customer to leave a bad review. I got scolded by the cleaners for being loud. I was walking at the corridors and I didn't even make a single sound but it was the cleaners who were talking loudly but I got the blame. Secondly, this is really weird but few of my friends felt some chilling weird stuff happening in the hotel room. I swear to god it was damn spooky as few of us encounter it. The only compliment was the check in went smoothly. Front desk were polite and efficient.
I travelled with family, we had pleasant stay at the hotel.
I made a request for cooking utensils initially and the hotel rejected me by email. Then When I checked in at 3pm, the usual time. they told me that they can give my request but the room will only be available at 4:30pm, NOT ACCEPTABLE! I told then they should have called me and not let me check in and wait for an hr and a half! Then they made me wait extra 10mins and they told me they will fix it and offered me comp drinks in the restau. After 5mins they came back saying They have the room ready and they will give me my request and a late check out. Of course that ia expected because they made a mess. I know it is high season but still NOT acceptable.
