Very nice place to stay in Munich. Centrally located for public transportation and in a safe area. The highlight is the breakfast spread — make sure you take advantage of what they offer for a good start to your day. Wonderful people taking care of you, especially Avni. He and his co-workers are the best and want to see that you are happy with everything. No need to go anywhere else for breakfast!

Liked the room. Staff was kind and helpful.

Location is good, the Lobby is warm and welcoming and staff were nice. For some reason the phone in the room did not work so we had to go to reception if we needed anything. Also there is a sign in the room that states they offer room service but they actually don’t. Not sure why they would make it look like that is an option. Overall they stay was good.

Very nice hotel, good location, close to the Múnich hbf station and close to the main plazas. Great customer service at the front desk. I will definitely come back.

The location is perfect to walk to the train station and airport shuttle bus station in 5 minutes, and it is around 15-20 minutes' walk to most attractions in the old town.

Fit for a king!

Hotel had an exceptional breakfast buffet with so many hot and cold options it was varied every morning. Great employees were helpful and kind at every encounter our family had with them. Highly recommend!

Good location near Munich hbf. Shower door in our room needs repair, we reported this to front desk upon checkout. Otherwise our stay was very comfortable, and would stay here again.

I do not often write reviews, but this hotel was exceptional. At first glance the neighborhood (right behind the main train station in Munich) seemed a little dicey, but it was very safe and also very quiet. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel doesn’t nickel and dime you for things like bottled water and coffee and stowing your luggage after checkout. Checkout time was a convenient 11 am. The location was excellent for downtown touring and Christmas market. There were also bus, subway, train, and tram connections very closeby. Restaurants, a drugstore, and a grocery store were all nearby as well. The beds were comfy; the bathroom was clean, as were hallways, elevator, and lobby. They have the genius idea of giving you a coupon for a drink in their bar in return for skipping room cleaning. I loved that because we could still get fresh towels and morning coffee, received a free drink (made by someone who knew how to mix and serve drinks), and we felt better about not having to ask a hard-working individual to clean up after our vacationing selves on a daily basis.

Munich

We came into Munich by train and the hotel was about a 5 minute walk. It was very clean and the people there were very friendly and helpful. We were also able to leave our bags there on the first day as we got in before our check in time.

Beautiful lobby and room. Breakfast, situated next to lobby, is wonderful. The bar, also next to lobby, is convenient and open late.

Great stay

Great location as far as close to train station, we took the train everyday to different cities for Christmas markets. Other locations are a lot nicer if you’re driving. The hotel itself was very nice, excellent breakfast, great bar to unwind at night, and room was very nice.

The hotel is centrally located near to the train station . Very friendly and helpful staff . The room is clean but there some dust lingering near the night light that bothers me ..other then that it’s all good . Keep it up will definitely come here again .

Overall good experience, bathroom door and room door can't be open at the same time due to poor room layout design. Removal of bathroom door or change it into bi-fold door would make much more sense.

Lovely stay and nice clean and comfy rooms, great value with friendly staff and close to the main station. We loved the quirky four poster style beds and decor. We had breakfast one morning in the hotel and it was well stocked with a wide choice of food and drinks. Train from the station was 12 euro, and right around the corner. We walked into the old town and got Ubers back, typically 10-20 euro. On checkout we were able to leave our luggage in secure lockers in the basement until 6pm. A great stay and would recommend.

Didn’t like that the shower filled up with water while using. The drain was clogged- no one cared to correct that. The room was way too hot for sleeping at night and I was unable to control the temperature. We did love the breakfast provided downstairs and the man that works in the dining area. He made up for the inconveniences, he was attentive, helpful and very nice. He deserves a raise.

Book this hotel!

Highly recommend this hotel! Very close to train station, about 20 min walk from main plaza, very safe neighborhood! The staff was extremely kind and attentive. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an excellent stay at Kings Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel close to main Munich Train Station. Our room was nicely appointed and the hotel common areas areas are beautiful. A nice bar and breakfast area. We paid extra for breakfast in the morning but it was worth it for the food and atmosphere right inside the hotel. We even had a wonderful bar pizza one evening and it was fantastic. They will give you a $10 euro discount to bar/breakfast for days you don’t request room cleaning services which is nice. Also the room beds were comfortable and although there is a bus tram line in front of hotel we did not find it to be anything too loud or annoying. The immediate area around the hotel doesn’t offer much and is a standard urban area, but it’s a 15-20 minute walk to Marabel Plaza or a short train ride. If you need to travel early to the airport this was a great spot so close to the S-bahn train station. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Munich.

Rooms were nice, the location was an easy walk from the marienplatz.

I loved my stay at King’s Hotel First. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. I slept well! The staff was very personable and helpful. You cannot beat the location of this hotel - very close to the Hauptbahnhof station. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel room is small but use to that being it’s in Europe but bed is very hard the staff was nice and friendly and having a bar was great. Can’t say the people in Munich are very friendly though we stayed part of our time in Vienna and it was much nicer and people were friendly would have stayed there more if I had known

The staff were exceptional and the lobby was gorgeous. There was a thermostat in the room that I could adjust to my comfort. The room was spacious and the beds and bedding clean and comfortable. The door handle to the bathroom was broken and there was a bit of mold on the shower door. The desk staff promised these would be fixed promptly.

Perfect for the main train station, underground tube only 5 mins walk. Main square 8 min walk. Great shopping. Lovely staff.

To much posh on the to much sale

The room is small but comfortable. The staff is nice and the breakfast was good.

Overall this hotel wasn’t bad. But of the 3 we stayed at during this trip to Germany, it was the most disappointing. The staff weren’t overly friendly. The wifi was abysmal, literally worked maybe twice the whole stay. We wanted to make a local call but the phone didn’t dial out and when asked they said they didn’t allow visitors to use the phone. The hotel is in excellent distance to the central station and that’s its biggest perk. Not much food/drink options around. If it’s a quick stay you’re probably ok but any more than 2 days id look for another option.

Myself and a second female traveller stayed here for 4 nights and we found this location super convenient. Approx 7 mins from the main train station, this was an awesome location to get around the city from. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was kind and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Best hotel in Munich

Friendliest staff I've met at a hotel. Room was excellent size, everything spotlessly clean, good choice at breakfast, possibly the best hotel I've stayed in for many a year. On a tram line, and a short walk to main station, does everything I needed and more

Great style at bargain price

Really a very nice hotel at a very reasonable price. I was surprised by how nice it is. For the price I was expecting something rather basic. In fact, it compares extremely well with high-priced hotels at which I have stayed. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Overall our stay was great. Excellent location, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast, very helpful service. Very nice lobby area. My only complaint was the room itself seemed like it could use a more modern update. Otherwise, this hotel was a great stop for our family.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location

Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good range of hot and cold food. Staff were great. Location is close to train station and easy to get to main attractions. I felt safe walking alone to and from hotel in evenings though i was usually back to the hotel by 9pm. Trams run past hotel which light sleepers may hear.

The room was clean and lovely. The lobby was comfortable. We had breakfast two times; we thought it was excellent. We recommend this hotel. We walked every day to Marienplatz.

Centrally located.

There are two King’s Hotels. We stayed at the King’s First. Both are owned by the same company and are very close to each other. This review is for the First. Both hotels are ideally centrally located. You could walk to most places in Munich city center from here. The Munich Hbf is also a 5 minute walk. Check in has a person on duty but can all be done with a screen at reception. Staff is very friendly. You can enjoy a relaxing drink here in the evening also while watching the street. Restaurants near this hotel are mostly “convenience” locations. Restaurants around the corner near the other Kings hotel are more formal sit down style. Will stay here again.

The breakfast buffet was great plentiful selection, the bar at night was very nice the staff is amazing, they are Very helpful and friendly, the room is a little small but it was cozy and confortable.

Only issue we had was temperature was changed to heat only. We were on top floor and it was way too hot. We opened a window and they gave us a fan.

Above average b/fast offering. Guest accessible amenities room for towels; tea/coffee; iron; washing facilities. Incentive for not having room cleaned daily.

Great hotel for pleasure travelers because of its excellent location. Close to train station and within walking distance to Kingsplatz and Marienplatz.

OK Room Nothing Special

Hotel was in a decent location with a long walk to most attractions. Heat in hotel was not controllable with thermostat and was very annoying as it was hot in the room. Bathroom was extremely small.

Excellent hotel, wonderful and accommodating staff.

The building, the rooms and the decor in the rooms were quite frankly very, very nice with its element of the old world incorporated into its interior design. All the furnishings in the room looked first class, and all the craftsmanship of the woodwork was outstanding, Regarding the exterior Hallways and the lobby they were all in outstanding condition With a shout out to the beautiful carpet!

This hotel was in the perfect location for our one night stay before our flight to the US the next day. We were easily able to walk to the Metro station early in the morning and take the S1 train directly to the airport. The hotel is very nice, with a comfortable lobby and our room was nice. Check in and out was easy, and the staff was helpful.

Very well located near the main train station, and near nice restaurants

I really like this hotel especially the location. 4 minutes getting to Munich train center and 20 minutes getting to the old town by walk. Any transportation is in the train center around. Clerks in the hotel are friendly and helpful. Only the shower sewer was getting water gone slowly. Other in this hotel were all good.

Staff were very friendly. We were able able to check in earlier than we expected. That was huge for me, as we were only in Munich for the day, we were able to see a lot of attractions, before our flight back home the next day. Breakfast was great. Plenty of options. Location was wonderful. Close to attractions and public transportation. Two blocks from main train station. I would love to stay here again next time!

Almost everything in our room was at an angle. Bathroom mirror in relation to the sink. TV relative to the bed. Toilet was against the wall on one side so you have to sit sideways. :)) The tub shower door only enclosed the far side of the tub so the side closest to the shower head was wide open for the water (lots of water) to spill on the floor and the sink counter. The room was very nice and clean. The area is close to transportation, shops, sightseeing, and restaurants. We never felt unsafe either. Overall good place to stay for the price. 👍

The hotel is about 5 mins walk from main train station and 20 mins from Marienplatz, so a great location. It is on a quite busy road, but was quiet and very comfortable. The room was very clean and there was an option to exchange daily housekeeping for a voucher to use in the bar - a great idea. Breakfast was wonderful- great choice and delicious. We have stayed in many hotels which cost a lot more than this but were no where near as good - great value

It was just a quick one night stopover. Five minutes walk from Hbf. Friendly staff.

Very close to the central train station and the car rental. Easy to return the car and could still get back to the hotel to get our luggage.

Comfortable, quiet, and clean.

We had a very late check-in (0300) as we were arriving from Vienna by train and needed a place to sleep before our 4pm flight back to the US. Room was exactly what we needed: clean, quiet, and comfortable. I would recommend calling the day before if you are going to do a super late check-in. They will check you in early and the security guard will give you your keys.

Breakfast was fantastic! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was near the train station…so that’s what you get. Definitely a bit seedy, but nothing unexpected for the area.

Quick walk from Munich HBF

Good location in reference to train station. Staff was good, check in very nice. Depending on which route you approach the hotel the area can be a little sketchy at night. Good Italian restaurants nearby. Would stay again.

Great Hotel, I’d stay here on my next trip to Muni

The hotel is centrally located. Short walk to city centre, English gardens and BMW museum. Staff was very friendly, and helpful. Breakfast buffet was quite good for the price.

Very quiet, clean. Breakfast was good (variety of cereals, fresh breads, fruit) egg variety, meats. Beds were comfortable. Great location for train and walk to old city.

Close to trains, trams, restaurants

This a nice property for a short stay in Munich. We were within 20-25 minutes walking distance to just about everything we wanted to do. It was just 15 minutes from the Oktoberfest fairground! The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful.

Great location , great service

The girl was so nice and helpful help us check in. We really had a good time in Munich during the busy Oktoberfest, its walking distance to old town and the Oktoberfest. The room is spacious and clean, we will definitely stay again next time.

Enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing stay in Munich

I was only in the hotel for 15 hours but it was centrally located. 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). All of the staff I encountered were very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel decor was to a high standard and the room allocated was spacious, clean and very comfortable. There were a number of eating out option within 5 minutes walk. The breakfast provided by the hotel was very nice with hot and cold options. I would recommend the hotel to visitors to Munich. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Last minute booking for one night. They gave us a queen bd when I booked a dbl twin. Fortunately they had a last minute cancelation, so we did get our dbl room. Nice, clean hotel. I would stay again.

Is conveniently located near the main U line so super easy to get around the city quickly. The hotel was very quiet and had the best sleep of our trip here. We were welcomed with two few beer vouchers from the bar upon arrival along with daily $10 vouchers if you didn’t need your room cleaned. You are able to use as cash at the hotel and was such a nice extra perk. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Clean and comfortable

The hotel was very clean and felt comfortable after a day in town. Bathroom was very small, but neat and tidy, like many downtown European location hotels. We did like the hotel and would definitely return if in Munich. Found the staff very friendly and helpful, and really enjoyed the free voucher for a drink of you chose eco-friendly cleaning.
