Beware! This hotel is NOT in Nafplio. It is falsely listed as being Nafplio. We had wanted to visit Nafplio and had only one night to do so, so we were VERY disappointed. This is 20 minutes from Nafplio. Lovely hotel and staff, but we were unable to visit Nafplio as we had wanted. Neither hotel nor Expedia would offer any full or partial refund. Poor form.

Great time at John and George

Loved the hotel and the staff! Tolo was a great place to locate to see the area!

Everything and everyone from the start to the end was friendly courteous and made us feel welcome. The location is convenient although a bit trick to get in if you are not an experienced driver in narrow windy hilly Greece roads. The views from the property are beautiful! I would highly recommend.

After a slight hiccup with the reservation, the hotel went above and beyond our expectations and we ended up with a beautiful sea view room at their sister hotel the Dolphin and enjoyed a magnificent dinner on the beach. The hotel staff at John and George were fantastic and made sure that we were happy with the new arrangement! Can't say enough about the lady at the check in.

Hotel staff was wonderful and upgraded us to a sea view. Very fun common areas. Good on-site parking. Needs to have beds and pillows upgraded.

Lovely stay!

Wonderful stay. Lovely staff. Great buffet breakfast included. Very clean, comfortable, spacious room. Convenient on site free parking. Nice pool. Great views. Short walk to beach, though steep so not necessarily easy for elderly or disabled. Plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Also good food and drinks at hotel.

The view is exceptional

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The hotel room was spacious, clean and lacked nothing. The breakfast buffet offering was excellent and the staff were very courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Tolo area. A++

The staff and owners are so incredibly friendly and helpful! The location was awesome, pharmacy right down the street to do a 15 minute covid test for return flight. Breakfast buffet was awesome and they have greek coffee available and will help you make it in the traditional style, so much fun! They also offer an evening buffet with traditional dishes, so yummy! Free covered parking available, hotel is conveniently located, easy to get to with google maps and easy access to many different sites to go visit. I am a single female traveler and felt totally safe walking around the town at night after dinner and shopping. Pool was cold but I visited at the beginning of October so understandable, really only complaint was that the mattress was very stiff but found out on checking out if you say something to them they have an overlay to put on top.(wish I had said something at the beginning lol!). I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone! Thank you so much for such a wonderful end to my vacation!

Loved our stay here! Amazing Sea views, stunning pool area, lovely buffet breakfast, friendly & efficient service. Spacious room, comfy firm bed, quality linens. Large bathroom with good water pressure, hot water, counter space for your stuff (which is not a given in Greece!) They provide white towels for the bath & orange towels for the pool or beach. You can leave your car parked in the covered or underground parking lots and walk into Tolo. That way you can enjoy your “kressi” & “bira”! (Wine & beer) It’s a bit of a hike up the hill back to the hotel but with a reasonable level of fitness it’s no issue. We will stay here again.

Great sea views and very friendly staff! Good breakfast, and it was nice that the parking was in the garage. One con- The pool operation hours were very short so we didn’t get to use it.

Close to beach and several restaurants. Property was extremely nice with pool and several outdoor tables and lounges. Breakfast buffet was wonderful with many choices. Staff was very friendly and we had just an overall awesome stay.

Family owned hotel with beautiful view of the sea

The staff was very friendly and accommodated our needs in every way. We appreciated the small family hotel feel of J&G. Breakfast was a nice buffet and the pool was clean and refreshing. The rooms are old, but clean. The bathroom was notable clean despite the age. A short walk up and downhill to the main road and beach, but worth the view to be higher. Parking garage is available which is nice in the summer heat.

Really gorgeous location, very clean and staff were very nice. Pool was unheated and in October unusable as it was too cold! Bathroom needed an overhaul and the beds were rather uncomfortable as the bases were wooden slats and the mattresses too thin to adequately compensate. Bathroom door kept sticking. We were in a triple but didn't have 3 of everything in the crockery dept, bedding was adjusted after night one. Overall good but needs a bit of TLC.

If you are looking for authentic Greek, with the most amazing sea views and warm hospitality this is the place for you. The whole team were amazing - and such a lovely welcome each day from Dimitrya aka The Coffee Lady!

The hotel is located quite remotely. It’s far away from Nafplio. There were only a few restaurants close-by and the choices were limited.

Everything was perfect.. breakfast and dinner buffets were wonderful.. staff went out of their way to be very kind and welcoming; location was very good; hotel was extremely well kept. Very enjoyable stay!!

The service is superb, the staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable; the views are so unique and the pool grounds are really nice. You definitely get value for your money. My only comment will be that the bed is a bit hard but I slept really well.

Belle alternative à Nauplie. Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses mais attention, la piscine est à l'ombre la majorité du temps. Bon petit-déjeuner varié et personnel très agréable. Parking disponible mais un calvaire pour arriver jusqu'à l'hôtel en raison des rues de Tolo.

Pas de clim dans la chambre. Rapport qualité prix très bien.

Excellent séjour. Le personnel est prevenant et aimable, les chambres spacieuses avec une vue à couper le souffle et la localisation idéale pour visiter les sites majeurs. Je recommande vraiment !

Schönes Hotel mit Blick über die Bucht von Tolo. Parkgarage war hilfreich, da alles herum ansonsten sehr steil. Frühstück okay, wobei die Corona Maßnahmen ein bisschen nerven.

Presque parfait !

Mon meilleur hotel en Grèce à ce jour. Peut être dû à un gros manque d'objectivité lié à la jolie terrasse et a la très belle vue sur la mer et le soleil levant des chambres de l'hôtel mais tant pis, j'assume ! Parking couvert (mais non fermé) en sous sol, mais le gérant m'a laissé garer ma moto juste a côté de la réception pour plus de sécurité. Déjà cela annonçait la couleur en terme de service. Ensuite une chambre au dernier étage avec vue sur la mer m, orientée plein est donc, spacieuse, avec une belle terrasse également, une clim hyper efficace que je n'ai eu à allumer que le temps de rafraîchir, la nuit je la coupais. Pas de souci d'insonorisation constaté. Un petit frigo et un coffre, toujours pratique, et suffisamment d'espace de rangement. Et meme un pèse personne !!! Petit dej copieux avec jus de fruit frais mais cela pourrait etre mieux (je parle en me référant par rapport aux autres hotels de Grèce de mon voyage) : la clientèle (je suis venu en septembre) était assez âgée et très typée anglo-saxonne/germanique du coup le buffet est plutot continental. Hormis la feta, je regrette les petites spécialités grecques que je trouvais dans les autres hôtels, et surtout c'est quasiment tous les jours pareil. Mais encore une fois je pinaille (jus d'orange frais je le répète ! Et ils viennent vous resservir du café... en plus on peut manger dehors avec vue sur la mer. Piscine petite avec des horaires assez réduits malheureusement, mais bon la mer est à 3mn à pieds...

Wir waren positiv überrascht! Das Hotelpersonal hat das Wort Service wirklich verstanden, sie waren unfassbar freundlich, zuvorkommend und stets gut gelaunt. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Das Bett war etwas unbequem und die Einrichtung im Essbereich sehr veraltet. Bei der Lage braucht man allerdings ein Auto, da die Umgebung echt nicht schön ist. Da wir mobil waren, waren wir tagsüber immer unterwegs, was wir auch empfehlen! Wir werden das Hotel jedenfalls fleißig weiterempfehlen.

John&George is a fantastic hotel! Here is a brief summary: LOCATION: One of my favorite aspect of this hotel was that it was so close to everything. The main 'street' was literally 3 minutes to walk with plenty of restaurants and beach, but at the same time the hotel is still nice and quiet. If you love the small city charm Tolo and JG should be your choice! FOOD: Everything that I ate was very tasty! Breakfast choice was not very big, but everything that was offered, were good. ROOMS: Rooms are simple, but with decent size, clean and comfortable. Balcony is a very nice touch. Sea-view rooms are a must! POOL: There are two pools, one for toddlers, one where one end is 2m and the other is 1,3m deep. COVID-19 SITUATION: I felt so safe! staff are working hard to follow the COVID-19 restriction. Only real difference was that you were not allowed to choose yourself in breakfast buffet, morning staff asked you what you wanted and gave it to you. But it is due to Corona and they assigned some additional employees in order to avoid any unnecessary queues and it worked well. + location, easy access pool(s), amazing view, staff and especially owners are fantastic people! - only thing I really missed were more comfortable bed - the mattress were quite hard so even for me, as a more firm mattress lover, back hurt a little Thank you Evgenia and your very kind husband for the hospitality and super first experience in Greece! We will be back, for sure!

Hôtel et chambre très agréable avec une vue incroyable sur la mer. A 3 mn de la mer à pied. Repas du soir très bon, copieux et très accessible. Staff très gentil et aux petits soins. Parking souterrain (très pratique quand il fait chaud).

Alles was OK - het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam - alleen zijn de 2 liften te klein (voor 4 personen) in het hoofdgebouw. De liften naar de garages zijn wel OK qua afmetingen.

Belle décoration des lieux communs. Le menu des petits-déjeuners est resté le même durant 7 jours. Nous aurions apprécié un peu de variété.
