I have been staying at this hotel for three visits now....such great place and convinent located
The people were very nice and accommodating but when I had a change of plans managemen was more interested in keeping the money for one more night than keeping a customer for the future. Disappointing.
Love the Hotel. Great location, safe with amazing shopping within walking distance. Staff is friendly and professional. Hotel also has great gym.
Amazing stuff and really helpful
Hotel is located in a great area, very safe a really great variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Staff was very professional and attentive. The property could use some renovations.
?
Nice spot to stay in central SP. Marcelo was very hospitable behind the bar. I’ll come back.
A very old hotel, rooms and furniture are in bad shape. Electrical sockets are probably from the early 2000’s Service was awful.
Staff are very helpful, this hotel is clean and thoughtful to provide detail service. Only the wifi connection is not very fast.
Great stay
Great place and great service. Location was very convenient.
Great place to stay in the downtown of Sao Paolo
Great service and location. Staff was great. Very small pool. A bit of wear on carpets. Overall, I would stay there again.
The staff was amazing! Breakfast was great! I was there to celebrate my birthday and once they discovered it they sent me a cake. Very kind!
The front desk staff, the concierge, the cleaning and breakfast staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. They made the stay very enjoyable. The room, however, had some issues. The carpeting in front of the bathroom was wet the entire time (5 days) we were there, and the carpeting was dirty which was an issue for me when you have small children crawling around.
Unfortunately the service was overshadowed by my mothers watch going missing and my fathers shoe bag went missing on 2 separate occasions in their room. We notified front receptionist and they said they would look into the matter. We didn’t get any feedback after that. It’s not a good look on your staff that cleans the rooms and I would look into the matter. We are definitely not the first. This you must know has happened.
Great
Amazing
Although the staff is super friendly and the location is prime, the hotel does not possess a reasonable wifi/internet set upo. If you are in need of a reasonable internet for business purposes, forget this place. Terrible internet
Bom
Staff atencioso. Café da manhã excelente. Localização excelente.
Good Hotel
It was a really nice a pleasent time at the Intercontinental Hotel. Friendly staff and clean hotel
Apart from some cracks in my bathroom sink, my stay at the intercontinental could not have been better. Service was outstanding and I always felt well attended to and looked after. Cleanliness was brilliant, and any assistance or need was dealt with promptly. It will be my choice as my home away from home when I return to São Paulo.
Good location and friendly staff
Great location… staff very helpful
Necessita de melhoras
Hotel necessitando de melhoras urgentes, corredor dos quartos em péssimo estado de conservação, móveis velhos e poltronas manchadas. Falta cuidado na decoração do hotel e mais opções no café da manhã.
Amazing Hotel!
The hotel was amazing! Just a short walk to Ace. Paulista where you can find great shopping, cultural sites and restaurants including Starbucks if you need! The hotel is also surrounded by local bakeries, restaurants and small markets and drug stores so you can find anything you need easily and a short distance away. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL. Extremely friendly and supportive. They go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay! The hotel gym is AMAZING. Very clean, great equipment that is well maintained and modern. The gym staff takes safety seriously and they do an excellent job of keeping the equipment cleaned. Over all the hotel is amazing, you will enjoy staying here immensely!
Great service! Restaurant staff was amazing. Sadrac, one of the restaurant and front bar staff was incredibly professional, personable, friendly. We felt at home. The girls at the front desk were extremely helpful and staff walked us to drug store because I had medical emergency. They called my hotel in Rio to ask for my insulin and they called Drogasil for me. The restaurant staff warmed up our food from the night before and they scheduled dinner reservations at other restaurants. We love intercontinental in São Paulo and we love IHC
Nice place in a convenient location
Nice place in a convenient location
The carpet was gross and in poor condition. The bathroom felt claustrophobic and smelled. The cable television did not work at all during the stay, and nobody at the hotel ever mentioned it, not even at check in. It wasn’t until that evening when I called and asked about it that the front desk said the cable provider had a problem. It was the second Intercontinental I’ve stayed in after a good first experience, but I’ll reconsider the brand next time I see it as an option.
Amazing experience. Great customer service
great location, clean, comfortable, great customer sevice
Nice lobby but the rooms felt very old and not the same standard as other intercontinental hotels I’ve stayed at
Safety issues with unstable steps into swimming pool Dining facilities lack innovation. Not everyone wants breakfast buffet Also need snacks and small plates in the lobby bar area. Only food offered is nuts
Good property. Good food well situated. Close to Oaulista Avenue. I would definitely stay here again!
Pete on business in São Paulo
Staff were awesome and very comfortable room Have tried other hotels in São Paulo but have now found my go to hotel
Horrible experience
Horrible experience when only for asking for a late check out, the guy in the front desk was amazingly rude! The rest of the staff was great, but I cannot believe that after staying for 3 nights at a rate of 350 USD, I received such treatment! I am not saying they HAD to give me the late check out, but there are ways to explain politely. Will never stay again and would not recommend it! Plus, highly overcharged for what the hotel has to offer. The swimming pool is depressing.
The service was wonderful from check-in to check-out. Comfortable and spacious room, delicious food from room service. I felt very taken care of at the Intercontinental. The neighborhood is walkable and close to the MASP São Paulo Art Museum and the magical Parque Trianon - Tenente Siqueira Campos.
Great hotel excellent service will stay again. Comfortable rooms nice lounge with great breakfast.
Great location in a wonderful neighborhood for walking. This hotel uses a credit card/door card in a slot to keep the room powered. Lights, air conditioning, power sockets charging batteries all shut off without the card. Mine was stolen the second day from the holder while I was out. No one knew where it was or who had access to my room. I asked them to change the code and issue me new room cards. It was stolen again the third day and no one know why or where my extra key was or who has 24 hour access to my room. If I am murdered in my sleep tonight the Intercontinental Sao Paulo is responsible as they were notified twice about the stole room keys.
Location is very good, rooms are old but nice, staff is outstanding!
Old carpet, mattress, towels. Why still a 5 start hotel is a mystery. 10 years ago maybe , not today
Location, staff, every was amazing. Definitely will stay again next time
Great location, very friendly staff. The room service and the food were average.
Weekend stay. Great staff
The staff was very friendly. The bar and restaurant are a bit generic and when I was there (a weekend) there were no people so it had no energy.
Great Hotel, Great Location
We had a great stay at the InterContinental - great location, good breakfast with a varied selection. James, in restaurant was very helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect. The only negative, thin walls or no sound proofing. We were on the 18th floor and family next door had a vey "active child" into the wee hours of the night
The staff, especially Jacqueline, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We were there on Xmas eve and most restaurants were closed or were having black-tie affairs that did not interest us. Jacqueline worked her magic and found us a reservation at a sold out resythst was amaze. We are so thankful!
Safe area, clean, spacious rooms,
The hotel is located in a very safe area but there isn't much within walking distance in the way of restaurants. The rooms were fine and the bathrooms were a decent size. The front desk staff is friendly and do speak English. Elevator security is lacking. I was disappointed at the charges to check in early. I felt like I was being upsold. It shouldn't cost a full night's stay to check in at 10am.
Staff made the place...front desk and bar area. Room was very nice too.
Convienent location but I won't be returning
The location of this hotel is great. I enjoyed my room. The only thing I didn't care for at this hotel was the check-in process and the hotel concierge never seemed to want to help me or my colleagues with questions. They would always say "no enlgish". At check-in I felt like I was buying a used car. The gentleman said that my room wasn't available but he would see if he could find a different room. He came back with an upgrade to the Presidential Suite for an extra $200 a night. I said no but he was persistant and tried to give it to me 50% off. I still said no. After 15 minute back and forth he just said my room wasn't available. I didn't ask for an upgrade I just wanted to check-in. I won't be staying here on my next trip to Sao Paulo.
Great central location, very comfortable bed and nice clean hotel.
InterContinental, perfect for São Paulo.
São Paulo is kinda dullsville compared to others spots in Brazil. The InterContinental is in the most exciting part of dullsville, a block off of Paulista Ave. The facility itself is 1st class, with many little touches. Worth the $$$.
Modern hotel in a prime location
This is. modern instalation with great service. The room is big. The Wi-FI is easy and fast there are tons of good restarants close. We requested a late check-out and they where realy nice
Very small rooms
Just ok location and although I got a suite it was very small. Everything just average. Nice gym
They made a mistake on my check out
Actually experience in total is fine. But for check out they made a mistake.Even I do not understand very well. But it is a mistake. First no mini bar fee for me but they still put RS 32 on it. Then I am not sure what kind of amount deposit I paid for my credit card but they made mistake on this total amount. So all in all be careful for the credit card here. I have no time to argue actually as I need to catch a flight. Hope all is well.
Great base for Sao Paulo
Lovely place to stay for spending a few days in Sao Paulo. Close to Jardins and other areas for shopping and eating. Nice to have included wifi in the room as well as tea and coffee making equipment. Good shower and nice toiletries. Powerful hairdryer. Would stay again.
breakfast...very expensive!!! not included!!!
breakfast wasn't included...nobody warned me about it...just after checking in...so expensive!! about u$30,00 !!!!
Convenience
This hotel is located in NEW financial district . One block away from a major street and many restaurants and small shops near by, very safe area.
Nice facilities in a good location
The staff at the hotel were very helpful. I could not get a late check out but was able to use the gym, pool and showers in the afternoon. Very nice before a long flight home. Hotel is comfortable and well located.
Nice Stay, friendly staff
Nice Stay, friendly staff. Would stay here again in Sao Paulo
An exceptional hotel great staff and well located
Mr Caetano was exceptional. The hotel is exactly what one needs after a long flight to São Paulo. It is well located has very good amenities and exceptional Staff. But the one I need to single out again is Mr Caetano at the front desk. A star.
Great place to stay in Sao Paulo!
No complaints. Love staying here. Very very comfortable.
Perfect hotel
I have stayed at many different hotels in Sao Paulo. The InterContinental is by far my most favorite one! Incredible friendly service. They showed me 3 different rooms to choose from.
Nice hotel close to avenida paulista. Safe place
I enjoyed every moment I stayed. Will definitely come back.
Great hotel for a short stay in Sao Paulo
We had a short stop in Sao Paulo and decided to stay here after reading previous reviews. The location was great, located in the Jardins district, 1 block from the main street, Paulista Avenue and a lovely 10-15 min walk to fashion central Oscar Freire street. Streets were very safe to walk, lovely tree lined avenues with heaps of cafes and bars to visit. Concierge were very helpful with suggestions and even booked us a private tour of SP with a guide named Ernesto. We had no idea what to expect when we arrived but were pleasantly surprised and would definitely return!
Nice hotel
Very nice and welcoming! Hotel staff were great, specially "Maesta" who asssited us from the time of check in thru the time of check out!!! He is very knowledged and guided us thru the best places to visit, restaurants, etc.
very central in a pleasant part of saopaulo
the location is great and there are many restaurants and shops nearby..
At the center, very good location.
The Staff was really so good, they were so kind and helpfull all the time. They arrange a great guide Ernesto to us, and by his guiding and recommendations we have really nice time at Sau Paulo. There is a citibank in front of the hotel, they give really good rate, do not exchange at the airport.
Business travel in Sao Paulo
Travelling for business so not as budget constrained as private. Hotel is on a busy shopping and restaurant street and in my experience was reasonably safe to walk around in during both day and night. Hotel is a 4 star establishment. Had problems on one day with room servicing, but overall the comfort and cleanliness were fine> Hotel seems to be very busy during the day with conference related activities and this meant it was difficult to get timely lunch services, but otherwise was fine.
Hotel exterior seems very run down. Interior is nice though. Staff is excellent. Very professional and a highlight of the hotel. Only disappointment is the aged exterior of the hotel and that I was given a room without a balcony.
Great service.
Staff was great and helpful. Sold me a membership to upgrade. Hotel is close to Paulista ave which is a happening street. Room was ok. No HD TV. Bathroom had weird smell. The toilet was running. Carpet looked old and dirty.
Excelent hotel no so big and elegant
The reception was very kindly and always help us in any quiestion.
lovely hotel
nice Hotel in a nice area in nice city
Convenient and in close vicinity to great restaurants, museums and other things to do! Hotel standard definitely five star!
Good location
This is a smaller hotel and therefore more intimate and comfortable. Its in a good location in Jardins which is also central for everything else.
Stay Here!
It was amazing I will definitely stay here again when I am next in Sao Paulo! They have the best gym of any hotel I have ever been to and yet there isn't one picture of it on their website! It was awesome. The front desk were so incredible allowing me early check in and late check out - kudos to hotel management for making this such a seamless and pleasurable stay.
Perfect location, awesome friendly hotel
Excellent location, excellent hotel. Check in and check out process was great, the reception staffs speaks perfect english and very helpful. Breakfast buffet was the best ones we had during our entire trip in Brazil. If you want to stay in Sao Paulo and explore around the area by walking around, this hotel is the perfect one for it, Paulista Avenue is just a stroll away. Plenty of restaurants just as you walk outside the hotel. The room was clean and great, but I've had more comfortable bed in newer hotels during my stay. Overall, this is a great stay and perfect location for a first timer in Sao Paulo and if you'd like to explore the area by foot. Highly recommended!
Good hotel - close to main attractions
Overall very good hotel. Central to most attractions by walking or taxis
Convenient place to stay
I stayed for one night before my flight back to SIN. The main point of this hotel is its location, close to Paulista.
GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN PAO PAULO
WE UPGRADED AND HAD A LIVING ROOM, LARGE BEDROOM AND LARGE BATHROOM ON THE 15TH FLOOR. IT HAD A WONDERFUL RESTURANT AND THE FREE BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. EVERYONE THAT WORKED THERE WAS SO NICE, HELPFUL, AND FRIENDLY.
Great location
Very helpful staff, great location. Pay extra for the club-great breakfasts, tea and happy hour included plus nice space to chill!
A real 5 Stars
The Intercontinental São Paulo is a real 5 Stars hotel. Staff is particularly helpful and efficient. It has a perfect location with a bunch of restaurants and shoppings around. Rooms are very clean and well accomodated. Exept the air conditionning a bit too noisy, everything else was lovely. I will definitely recommend this hotel.
we use the lounge club , was very nice , great services and Jean Pierre its a wonderful person , we really enjoy the stay .
I'm picky and this is my go to in Sao Paulo
From the well staffed front desk, to room cleanliness to accommodating check in/check out flexibility my time here is always pleasurable.
Very nice hotel
The hotel has a very nice staff, very close to AV Paulista. A few restaurants closed by. Recommend....
Great stay
Great check-in. Friendly, upgraded to a king sized bed, given an early check in and complimentary beverage for the few minutes I need to wait for the room. wifi included and very fast with a low annoyance login process. All round very pleased, will stay again when next in SP
perfect
Clean, modern, spacious, comfortable, good internet, very nice bathroom, excellent service, all at a great price : simple perdent.
business trip. good gym and comfy bed.
The proper 5 star experience
Superb location, excellent facilities. Proper 5 star experience. Excellent breakfast and lunch buffets. Well trained staff.
Very convenient, excellent service
Stayed for a weekend and found a very friendly staff, my room on the 15th floor was very comfortable and nice. Location is amazing!
Great hotel
What a good surprise ! This hotel has exceeded all my expectations. Recommended 100%
Wonderful Hotel!
We loved this hotel. Service could not be more efficient and friendlier. Congratulations for the Wonderfully run hotel the Intercontinental is!!! It will be our hotel in SP from now on. We are very happy to have found it!
Great hotel, staff and location
Very nice hotel. Really enjoyed the hotel. Everyone was nice and rooms are great.
Very great hotel in a great location
This is an absolutely fantastic hotel to stay in for business and pleasure. Located a block away from Avenida Paulista, the location can't be beat. It's also a very clean hotel and very modern. The staff can speak English which is convenient for travelers. Finally, they helped me with all my strange requests such as needing a place to store my baggage after checking in early. The bathroom is very nice as well and comes with a tub and shower. My only wish is that the shower were bigger. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel!
Outstanding hotel in Sao Paulo.
It was a pleasure to stay in the Intercontinental in Sao Paulo. The service is very good, employees outstanding.
Great experience!
Everything was great. Restaurant recommendations for high end dining great.
Bad bathroom experience.
The shower was really small and the water without Pressure.
Intercontinental Sao Paulo
Nice Hotel. very pleased with the lobby bar's staff. went for business so could not comment on the surroundings.
InterContinental
Best staff and shower heads in Sao Paulo. All the comforts of home.
good location, reliable chain
the hotel is a reliable chain which means it was of a certain clean standard with proper customer service and concierge service etc. the location was very good with restaurants and coffee shops around. its one fault is that as a chain, it definitely feels lacking in character and of a generic corporate standard. you don't have to be in brazil to be in the same hotel.

Great place and location
