Stayed few nights at this accommodation and it was fantastic. Housekeepers were fabulous making sure our room was cleaned everyday. They provide breakfast and didn’t get the chance to try it due to our schedule leaving early in the morning. Check in was very fast & smooth. The only downside is the parking. The parking was very narrow and had to be careful with parked cars & plants on the opposite side just in case your rental or car get scratched. It is a safe area with a security. Which made our stayed relieved from worrying someone might break into our rental. Location was awesome right at the roundabout easy to get on the road. So far our stay was incredible. Malo

Everyone went out of their way to make my stay wonderful.

Good location, very friendly staff and a good breakfast. Sofa bed wasnt the most comfortable but other than that, its a great place to stay.

Our room was clean and spacious, complimentary water. Receptionist was friendly and booked our airport transfer for us. Would recommend this hotel.

A beautiful spot to stay with friendly and kind staff.

Awesome location of the hotel. close to town and many stores around in a walking distance to buy things. The staff was lovely and friendly. The room was clean and tidy. Also breakfast was provided and good range to select from. Highly recommend House of Tonga. Malo Aupito.

I've stayed at other places in Nuku'alofa but House of Tonga is my new favorite. I was clean, the staff were pro-actively friendly, reliable and professional and the room was comfortably large. The window was double glazed reducing the traffic noise from the street and the location convenient. I recommend staying here.

Stay was awesome. Rooms were spacious and clean. Favourite thing about my experience was the staff, they were so accomodating and helpful.

When looking for a property we took a chance on a new hotel that was about 1/2 mile from downtown Nukualofa. We were so happy to be outside of the traffic and noise. They had a MARVELOUS STAFF, BEAUTIFUL DAILY BREAKFAST AND 24 HOUR SECURITY. We stayed for 21 days and would stay again. Thank you House of Tonga for making our trip memorable!!!!

Great place to stay very clean. Great variety with morning breakfast everyday and has bus stop right across the road available to get to city centre. Not many food options close by and can be noisy on the main road.

This was a great place to stay. The room was very spacious, glad to have hot water. Pretty clean except for some cockroaches here and there which is expected due to humidity and mostly affected the bathroom area at night (coming up through drains). Aircon works great. Bus is just across the road. Great free breakfast and variety. It can be noisy as it’s on the corner of the main road but didn’t bother us that much. Not many food choices close by. Was very clean and had great staff as well. Very accomodating for early check in if available

Clean, Comfortable We would stay again when in Tonga. Some difficulty in locking the door at night. Staff showed how to do it.

The staff are wonderful and the hotel is clean. Great breakfast each morning. it’s a long hot walk from the town centre and no pool.

I don’t normally write reviews but thought I would for House of Tonga as we loved our stay here. We stayed for 6 nights, arriving late at night which was not an issue at all, we were greeted at reception and everything was organised and easy. The staff were lovely, very friendly. Clean bright modern rooms serviced daily. Nice breakfast supplied downstairs in dining area. One minor thing we think could be added would be a tv only as one full day was lightning and thunderstorms which resulted in us staying at the hotel all day. We would stay again. Thank you to all the staff at House of Tonga :)

Booked for three people, was only 2x towels etc. Mold throughout the bathroom. When we arrived there was no tea and coffee and there was 2x dirty cups that had been used already on the bench.

The staff at House of Tonga were so lovely. The room was spacious and comfortable and I will happily stay there again when I next visit.

Clean, safe property. Able to accommodate my late night arrival. No fuss, self-serve breakfast. Hotel arranged airport transfers which were easy and reliable.

The closest decent cafe (Friend’s Cafe) is 20mins walk from House of Tonga. It could be challenging when the weather was extreme (super hot/humid, or during pouring rain,) to get around on-foot. The room comes with an A/C unit, which is essential. Owner Julie and local staffs were kind and helpful. A decent place to stay when visiting Tonga with a budget.

Clean, comfortable and pleasant place to stay, with friendly, helpful staff and a nice breakfast. Its a 20 min walk to restaurants in town, but the House of Tonga can call you an excellent, reliable taxi driver for transfers. Looking forward to my next stay!

Room was always clean whenever I got back. Staff was very friendly.

Great property! The rooms look newly renovated with nice open room, large bathroom and new and clean furniture. The room, floors, linens/towels and bathroom were extremely clean when I checked in and the daily housekeeping kept things tidy and refreshed during my 5 night stay. It's about a 30 minute walk to most restaurants but a small taxi fare. The reception is open late 5 nights a week and was always helpful in recommending food, calling taxis, organizing transportation for Sunday, etc.. The hotel is located on a busy roundabout intersection, but it quiets down by 10pm and is super quiet until around 7 the next day, this may bother you if you're super sensitive to sleeping in complete silence.. but I was able to sleep with the windows open to get some breeze and fresh air each night. Overall it was a great stay, highly recommend for your Tonga accommodation.

The staff was excellent. They had great restaurant recommendations and planned airport transfers and whale watching tours for me. The room was modern, spacious, clean and featured a mini-bar. The main part of town is a 15-minute walk.

We loved our stay at House of Tonga and would happily book them again. Everything about our stay was lovely; the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff were wonderful and friendly . We were very happy with the private parking, free internet and continental breakfast. They even provide a list of places to eat (with operating hours) for Sundays which was much appreciated. Very clean and comfortable room with couch. A 20 minute walk to the market or 40 minute walk to the ferry. Very friendly and helpful staff who can make bookings and recommendations. Main downside is that the walls very thin so can hear the next door neighbours quite clearly.

We had a wonderful stay, friendly and very helpful. From the airport pick up to the arrival at reception was such a great experience, especially when it was our first time in Tonga. I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s was very clean with a high standard. The breakfast was just beautiful. They nights were very quiet, no traffic noise interruptions. I loved this place and I will definitely stay over and over again.

Fantastic stay with the house of Tonga for a 2 week period!

Wonderful Experience: Friendly, Safe, Very Clean

Outstanding! I'm a medical student doing a 3-week rotation at Vaiola Hospital. When I was booking a hotel, my major concerns were safety, fast internet, and location. House of Tonga exceeded every expectation and more. -Safety: The rooms are well secured. There are two stairways that lead to the rooms. One stairwell is locked at night. The other stairway passes right by the owners' windows and I've seen the owners look out their window to see who's coming up the steps. The hotel is next to a church and so it's nice and quiet. They also gave us a safe to use. -The internet is great. I was able to stream the videos I needed to watch for school. This is a plus considering other hotels either have slow internet or charge for it. -Location: A quick drive to the hospital (10min with traffic) and also very close to downtown. -Miscellaneous: -The staff here are incredibly friendly! Workers at the front desk are always smiling and more than willing to help answer any questions. The women who clean our rooms are also very kind and helpful. The owners are very nice and always helpful. -This hotel is so clean! Our room and bathroom are scrubbed daily. The floors are always swept and mopped. There's also a laundry service that is reasonably priced -They provided an iron and a really good hair dryer. Air con cools down the room quickly. -Breakfast is fruit, cereal, breads, tea, coffee which kept me full until lunch We will definitely be staying here again!
