This hotel is located in the heart of the Altstadt (Old City) area of Zurich. As such, it is surrounded by historical buildings and lots of architectural eye candy. The area is obviously touristy, so prices are higher, but there are many dining and shopping options nearby. The hotel is nicely appointed. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. Breakfasts were cooked to order (eggs), with many other options available (continental). The only gripe I had was that the en-suite bathroom/shower/toilet was separated from the sleeping area with sliding glass doors - too personal and close to the sleeping area. They provided bottled water in the room every day. The WiFi was good. There's an in-room safe available. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area, transport options, etc. Highly recommended!

From checkin to checkout everything was incredible. We showed up at 10am to drop our bags and were surprised, in a good way, that a room was available. The room itself was incredibly spacious, clean and had great Swiss character. The Hotel is classy with very helpful and friendly staff. Easy walking within 10 mins to many dining options. Short walk to the trains.

The staff was awesome, the area is perfect! Close to everything we wanted to see. Convenient to the train station and all street cars. Easy Walt to so many sights! The only concern was the in room coffee and tea service was never cleaned. Lettuce in the tray, and used sugar packets never removed from when we arrived. Didn’t feel this area received any attention, was not clean or presentable. Everything else was great!

Beautiful, people skills need work

The bed was super comfortable. However, I had never stayed in a room where the keycard had to be inserted inside the door in order for the lights to work. When I called to ask how to operate the lights the response was a bit harsh, as though everyone in the world does that. She talked down to me.

Great place! Excellent location, incredibly helpful staff. This was my third stay and will book again for any future Zurich stay.

The property in great location. However, my room probably wasn’t used for a while. Dust everywhere. The coffee machine and kettle both had dust on and inside. Bathroom and floors were dusty too However, full size hairdryer and complimentary water throughout my stay - plus points! Most hotels in EU have travel size hairdryer and no complimentary water unless it’s a 5 star.

The size of the room was extremely small, which makes it very hard to move around especially when we have two large luggages. Also, there is no fridge in the room, which is disappointing. Otherwise, the room was clean, staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel is located close proximity to everything.

Remodeled interior of a historic building in a popular area of Zurich. If you have the window open, it can be a bit loud on the weekend nights because Zurich is a popular party town with the 20-somethings. But when the window is closed you hardly hear any outside noise. Scads of restaurants and bistros within easy walking distance in mostly pedestrian areas. Short walk to get down to the riverside for a walk along this historic area of town. Short taxi or Uber ride from the Zurich HB train station. Comfortable room and bed, highly recommend.

This hotel flat out lies about having "Family Friendly Laundry Facilities" or any laundry facilities at all. It's false advertising and I have asked Expedia to review all their properties for this falsehood because all 6 hotels on my recent trip across Europe that claimed to have such facilities did not have them. In addition, this hotel had no wifi to speak of in the room the first night and only a little better the second night after I brought it to their attention. First they had suggested I come down to the lobby to use the wifi. That's nonsense for a hotel charging the prices they do. A youth hostel probably could do better. They agreed to a measly ten percent discount for one night for that failure which they have yet to honor. If you need to do any business requiring wifi access at this hotel then stay far, far away.

Nice hotel in a great location

This hotel is lovely inside and out. The reception team were friendly. The rooms are comfortable however very small (even by Europe standards) so you wouldn’t want more than one person per room. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and bathroom all new. Anyone in a wheelchair/with accessibility needs would struggle in this hotel as the lift starts up a half flight of stairs, and each door way has a lip eg each room and the hallways. I found this around Zurich too. Not very wheelchair/luggage friendly. Great location a short walk from the train station and right in the heart of Old Town Zurich

Great stay

Very nice! Great location and friendly staff. Didn't use a lot of the amenities, but it was nice to know they were there if we needed it. Highly recommend! Only thing I did not care for was the bathroom, enclosed in all glass, I would have preferred a little more privacy, but otherwise amazing room!.

We loved our stay here. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, always friendly. The location is excellent, right across the river from the old city and a short walk from the train station. The room was very clean, well appointed, with a nice shower and bathroom. Would stay here again if in Zurich.

Perfect location for three nights

Reception was very welcoming and efficient. Our room was on floor 5, with a very new looking bathroom and comfortable bed. There was a pillow menu available. The shower was great, hot and good pressure. The location was superb, a short 10 minutes walk to the train station and city edge. Very close to the trams too. A huge variety of restaurants were just outside.

Charming clean hotel

Arrived by train and had a 10min walk to hotel. Quick stay to be close to the airport. Loved the vibe in the entire hotel. Provided waters and teas and had a fridge in room. No ac but keep the windows open. Very clean. Took a taxi to the airport which was 20 min drive. Hotel is a great location near all the restaurants and shops. Would stay again!

Good stay

Though the people are very nice none of the technology works. Even the phone system an hvac system worked. Upon arrival they failed to tell me that none if the electricity would turn on unless I stuck my key in a slot.

Very nice hotel in a great area close to Old Town. The breakfast setup was perfect for us as well. The only issue, which is NOT their fault, there is road construction outside of the hotel, and they worked thri the night...cutting concrete at 3 am. It was so loud. I would avoid this area for a couple of weeks. But the hotel itself was very nice and we would stay there again.

Excellent location in the heart of Old Town

Nice hotel close to train and two blocks from the river. Very walkable to all amenities. Room was very warm and the fan provided didn’t work. The bathroom was a glassed in room with etching right next to the bed. Did not provide much privacy.

He stayed at Hotel Scheuble for 2 nights. We had a great room on the 5th floor. The beds were very comfortable and we had easy walking access to the train station as well as many dining and shopping options.

The service was warm and welcoming. The staff helped answer questions and gave suggestions of things to do. Old town Zurich is beautiful and we enjoyed being in the heart of the city, closer to the train station and many dining options.

It was good overall

Hotel is centrally located near restaurants and shops galore. It’s a short walk to sites and easy to get to central train station. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Whatever you do do not stay at this property. The rooms and building are dirty. There is no air conditioning. Surroundings are very loud. Can’t get a good nights sleep. Can’t get an iron due to ‘ safety reasons” only positive is the location.

Property was clean and conveniently located

City workers doing heavy duty construction project on the two sides street where our hotel is located from 9 pm till at least 10:30 pm not AM (I have a several video to prove my point) drilling concrete- moving metal large plates with large moving equipments the night before our early morning flight back to US, it is not the fault of the hotel but it was a bad experience .

Great location in the heart or Zurich. Shopping and dinning are close/walkable and transportation to anywhere is quick and convenient. We got a good laugh out of the glass bathroom door!

Great location in Zurich. We walked from train station to hotel in about 10 minutes. Room was small and bathroom was super small. Literally can step from bed to bathroom in 1 step. That was only complaint.

This hotel is very special. The staff are so welcoming. The breakfast is great. You can walk anywhere in Old Town Zurich. It is a wonderful place to stay.

We loved our stay in this hotel. After the first night we’ve been upgraded to a suite which was great! Perfect location, close to everything.

When we checked in the bedsheet had dirty spots on it and had to be replaced. Overall the bedsheets and pillows were old and warned out and looked yellowish

Staff was amazing. Parking was impossible to find & the rooms were insanely small. There was barely room for me and my suitcase let alone another human and their suitcase. I had to lay mine on the floor and step over it every time I went to the bathroom that’s how small these rooms are. It was fine for me alone for one night but way too expensive & small to spend more than one night here.

Room felt a little dirty. Refrigerator smelled so bad it was not usable. Coffee machine was dirty. I had to ask twice for extra pillows. Coffee cups and mugs were not replaced daily when used. The internet was terrible. I had to go down to the lobby to send emails and conduct work on my laptop. The breakfast offerings were very basic.

This was a centrally located hotel with reasonable rooms. Decent size room and bathroom. Unfortunately the shower needs another screen, every time we showered it would flood the bathroom. The bathroom window could also do with a blind. The sun was very hot in the afternoon in our bathroom. We were not able to control the air conditioning ourselves which was frustrating at times. Otherwise a comfortable hotel which we would recommend.

Convenient to Old Town

The breakfast and staff were excellent! We stayed in the junior suite on the 5th floor. Thank goodness there was an elevator. The only problem was a church bell that was close by and rang loudly all night.

Room was ready on arrival. Huge room and bathroom. Great location.

Rooms are quite small and there’s no privacy to use the washroom. Air conditioning was not fully working but they provide a small fan. Hotel location is very good. Walkable to all restaurants and train station

Friendly, but Fix the Elevator!!

Friendly staff. Please let people know that one of the 2 elevators works sporadically, I got stuck in it my last day. I was told that they tell everyone to use the 2nd elevator, not the 1st one. PUT a SIGN UP, or FIX it!!! No one told us.

Single bedroom is extremely small. Bed mattress unstable and thin. Stall shower hard to manipulate.

GREAT hotel- very convenient and quiet with wonderful breakfast. Water stains and mild on WC ceiling took away from the otherwise spotless room.

We had a great time staying here. The breakfast was very good, with lots of options.
