Close by to the main downtown, but far enough away that it was quiet at nights. Location was great - 5min walk from train station and even closer to main square. Staff was kind and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
Could not reach front desk by phone for over an hour.
good location
very well located hotel - good breakfast and good spacious rooms
A fab location and an easy walk from main square
Great hotel, perfect location in Krakow.
Hotel located within walking distance to major attractions/points of interest. Place was clean, breakfast was delicious, with many choices.
The room was very clean and modern. The staff was very pleasant. We were located close to the market area and many wonderful sites . A gem of hotel overall!!
Ideal location just a few mins walk from both the main square and the train station. Had everything we needed. Only negative was a dangerous loose tile right as you step into the shower but apart from that it was just what we needed.
Perfect location to everything!! Couldn’t fault one thing, would highly recommend
The hotel is located right next to the city centre! Nothing is more than a 5 minute walk to find great food or entertainment! I highly recommend staying here because the staff and hotel itself was amazing.
I stayed in room 203 for 13 days. It was a wonderful stay! The room was very clean, had all the necessary amenities (mini fridge, electric kettle, tea, coffee, hair dryer, soaps). The hotel is located block away from a main street, so it can be loud throughout the night, especially if you sleep with open windows. I would say it definitely needs more counter space in the bathroom. The have clothing iron upon demand at the front desk. We purchased the stay with breakfast. Breakfast had good variety of options of a European breakfast bar. Coffee machine that serves different coffee. Very pleasant staff. Great stay overall!
Perfectly located in town. 2 blocks from the town square and close enough to the train station. We will be back!
Unique Hotel. Spacious Rooms. Brilliant check in experience starting before you arrive. Importantly, brilliant friendly reception and guest servicing team who go beyond their way to make sure guest satisfaction is guaranteed. Surely coming back to Elektor!
Excellent location and service. Loved breakfast!!!
Very comfortable
Nice hotel
Nice hotel, location is excellent, the breakfast is varied and very good and the room was cleaned every day. At the beginning of our stay, we received room # 100, which was literally on the stairs. It was a disaster because we could hear every step, but after we spoke with the reception they agreed to replace us the room by adding an additional 100 zlotych.
Clean, comfortable bed, good location. ACs are close to the bed.
Good no common
My wife and I stayed at the hotel Eletor twice in a three week period. Both times we stayed we had a great experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the city. The rooms were very charming, clean and quiet. The breakfast area was spectacular as well. We recommend staying here.
The complimentary breakfast was great. Staff were lovely. The location was brilliant for the old town. This is where we would stay if we went back!
Great location, all areas were clean and breakfast was very good.
Staff was super friendly and very helpfull. Reception, housekkpeing an restuarnt staff was very csutoemr focus. Brekfast was ok not amazing but not bad either. Bathroom nice and clean. The only think room 106 that I stayed was a bit smelly. Ba
Great position for exploring Krakow centre. Some areas of the hotel are looking tired. Breakfast was not as good as most hotels. The pillows were too large and too soft and had no alternatives when I requested a change.
Great location
Great location, comfortable room, friendly helpful staff Free wifi, good breakfast
Comfortable and spacious room with a very comfortable bed; however, it was noisy a little bit in the early morning when the binmen came to collect the rubbish in the nearby properties. The hotel itself was within a 10min walking distance from the station and the Market Square.
The Staff were courteous and heloful. Rooms clean and well serviced. Great location and value for money. Would have no hesitation in recomnending to family and fiebds
We had a lovely stay. The reception staff were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. You could have hot food cooked to order or there was a hot and cold buffet including fresh fruit. The twin beds looked slightly narrow but they were comfortable. Good sized bathroom and bedroom. Only real downside is we could have used more coffee and milk in the room. We would stay again but take some with us. Ideal location for railway and main square in old town.
I know Krakow well and the property was as expected - if you know the area, you'll be prepared for the fact you're not going to get a great view out of the window. I was overlooking several air conditioning units on a flat roof above a courtyard. What you lack in views, the hotel have made up for in comfort and style. I really liked the room, a combination of old and new - retaining older features like wooden beams and high ceilings, combined with a contemporary finish. If I had one bit of feedback for the hotel, it would be to do away with the original doors / keys And instead, replace with a heavier sound proofed door using keycard entry. Overall a pleasant one night stay with a very nice breakfast in the hotels brick/stone basement/underground shelter (post war feature).
This is an excellent hotel in an excellent location. Very spacious and clean rooms, wonderful staff, and a delicious breakfast with a lot of choice! I would highly recommend this hotel!
The staff in all areas are very helpfull, everything is in perfect working order . If you need anything the staff can assist you in locating. same. The location is perfect. The breakfast is superior.
Lovely hotel in very central location. Very comfortable, spacious rooms with high ceilings, lovely bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities.
This hotel is really amazing!
This hotel is really amazing, especially when you are like us(hopefully NOT), tourist couple who have encounter an accident and really need help in a foreign country. Thank you very much Magdalena Szlachte, for your consideration and great help! And, thank you very much for the staff in the breakfast room, thanks for all of you being so thoughtful. So, Hotel Elektor is definitely the righrt and good choice, and highly recommend.
Clean, comfy, modern rooms
Staff was all very kind and the room was well appointed and comfortable. As is typical fashion in Europe, the bed was two twins together with a mattress topper. Easy walk to/from the train station. No Uber pickup immediately out front, instead needing to walk to a meeting point. This made walking to the station for the train more practical. I would stay here again without hesitation.
Great hotel in an amazing city!
Great hotel in an amazing location! The room was perfect and very comfortable and was minutes from the main square and train station. Couldn't fault the hotel with the exception of the receptionist who wasn't particularly welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Amazing
Very clean, in a good area, close to the main square and very easy to get
Excellent location and service
Perfect location in old city yet 8-10 minutes walking distance to train and bus station and major shopping mall. Wide variety of small shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and music venues within 5 minutes walk arranged around the main city square. I had been concerned about noise levels but in fact it was very peaceful at night in the room with the right amount of buzz in the air when outside. Food and drink to suit all tastes for our family: fast food, local Polish cuisine, Italian and street vendors - at very good value for GBP exchange rate. Hotel; staff pleasant and very helpful with local transport advice: lovely breakfast, very clean rooms. Really cannot fault this hotel. We had a fantastic family holiday there. Thank you to all staff at the Elektor.
Plasant stay!!
Lovely hotel, central location.
Just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. It was perfectly located for the old town, the public transport systems and the shopping centre.
Pretty Good, Great Location
Everything was great besides a note left on our bed by the maid that said "Thank you for the tips"... thanks for the subtle hint... According to Google it is not common to leave tips for maids in Poland, clearly we were treated differently as tourists. The front desk and breakfast staff were all extremely nice.
Terrible stay and waste of money
My stay in Kraków was brilliant but my stay in hotel elector was terrible -paid for bath and no hot water -no English channels which was fine although I wanted English setting or subtitles this was not possible.also was not told was only in polish. I was ignored by staff on this request and even lied to as they said they will come and have a look. This did not happen until nearly end of my stay. Service and communication of staff was terrible and very rude . We will not be staying here again in hotel elector. Breakfast staff are much more pleasant ,helpful and happy. I think the staff at reception should learn from the breakfast staff as reception have no customer or communication skills
Great Hotel - Make sure to have a room with window
The hotel is great. Staff is amazing and breakfast is great. The only downside which I can think of is that initially I booked a room without a window- was too stuffy and asked to upgrade. Luckily enough the suite was available (obviously at an extra cost )and my stay there was amazing. Highly recommended 5 *****.
Stayed for 6 nights
Pleasant w adequate breakfast. Some street noise but to be expected in lively Krakow
Recomended
Everyithing was ok , confortable. the only bad thing is that the shower floaded.
Clean, comfortable, well positioned
Very comfortable, no complaints, but if I had to make a 'non-positive' observation then it was a little soulless. But otherwise an excellent choice. I would definitely return.
Clean, comfortable room -- great location.
A great place to stay in the Old City of Krakow
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at Hotel Elektor. The hotel's location is in the center of the Old City, very close to a lot of tourist destinations including the Main Market Square and St. Mary's Basilica and just a few minutes walk from the train and bus station. The area also looks safe even at night and not at the noisy part of the city so it is very good. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The room is also clean and with all amenities needed. The breakfast is also great, with a lot food to choose from. If I'd be given a chance to go to Krakow again, I will stay in this hotel and I will also recommend it to others.
Nice hotel, but street very nosy at night, and room let in a lot of street noise. Excellent breakfast.
needed a window
Good location near the main square. The staff was very friendly and helped us get a 4 am cab to the airport. The room was a bit warm but our window opened onto the stairway. It felt a little closer like without any natural light.
A great location
Great location can walk to everything and many cafes and restaurants
Very well situated in the old part of town, which is really beautiful. The hotel is maintained and presented to a very high standard, with tasteful decor and (an excellent) breakfast served in a lovely vaulted brick cellar. It is just a 5-10 minute walk from the station and 5 minutes from the main market square. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Highly recommended.
Elektor
Great hotel, except for one front desk clerk the staff was great as well.
We had a great time with the Hotel Elektor as our base for walking around Krakow, sitting outside and sipping coffee/beer and watching people. Easy to get to train station, near bus stop, and just 2 minutes walking distance from the main market square. We loved the breakfast, the room, and the quiet. We would definitely stay at the Elektor again when we return to Krakow.
Old World elegance with modern convienciences
Easy walk to major sites, train station, quiet street. Staff very helpful with booking excursions, taxis, general advice. Loved the Old World elegance, yet up to date, spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast in the cellar. Kraków is a joy and this hotel was perfect for our 3 night visit.
Very central
Excellent service lovely rooms .Staff very helpful.Required more pillows provided straight away
Close to. Market square and historical sites
We enjoyed the walking tours and polish cuisine we found the people helpful and the streets were so clean We are going to return as it was such a good experience
Really homely
We had 3 nights here, great value. First off, there is no air con (they provide a good fan), no safe (you can use the lobby one), and no face cloths. But it's a three star so it is what it is. It's an excellent 3 star!! We had a separate lounge so heaps of space, I had just booked a standard room so not sure if they're all like that. It was a bit like visiting Nana, old style carpet, high ceilings, dark wood furniture, but honestly it felt inviting and warm and clean. The beds, two singles pushed together were really comfy and once the windows were shut we didn't hear any street noise at all. It's extremely handy to the old square and the main train station and trams, lots of eating places, it really is very good. Breakfast in the cellar (cute!) was good, in fact the best scrambled eggs we've had after 5weeks travelling Europe!!
Great hotel close to the main square!
Everything about the hotel was very nice. The location in the old town was *perfect* - close to the square for super easy access, but just far enough if you wanted to sleep. Also, it is really close to the galeria, train station, and Florianska St. We had a superior room with King size bed. The room was large and comfortable. Hotel Elektor staff were really friendly and helpful and were able to offer assistance with all of our questions. We stayed in the summer (peak temperature of 34C during our stay), and there was no AC in our room (not sure about others), but it was not an issue since it's an old building that stayed cool and comfortable. I will use this hotel again and will heartily recommend it to all of my friends.
Great hotel
Great hotel in old town, near main square. Lovely staff, great breakfast.
fantastic location. staff very helpful
hotel needs some improvements, but generally very good
Great Central Hotel with good accommodation
Well situated for cente. We were in top floor room with huge lounge and beadroom. No noise. Good a/c. Friendly staff.
Great hotel close to Market Square
This gem of a hotel offers newly refurbished rooms that are spacious and have all the amenities. The staff members are unfailingly gracious and helpful. They serve a delightful breakfast as welll
The balcony in dbl room was small but perfect ! You'll wake up and go to bed with the Eiffel Tower everyday. And when she filters at 10 pm, if you're in your room, you'll have the perfect view! Staff was amazing and so helpful. Right next to the metro where you can catch the #8 This will take you across the seine to the louvre, to the Marais District, to Hotel de Ville stop where you can aside from seeing the Hotel de Ville you walk a few minutes over bridge to the Notre Dame .. From there you can walk to Mont st Michel area... Of course you're also just a few minutes walks to Champ de Mars and the tower herself Maybe 10 minutes to Trocadero where there is another wonderful view ... And another maybe 10/15 min walk max to Champs Élysées from there... Overall I highly recommend this hotel especially for first timers to Paris.
Great location. Walking distance to everything.
Classy place. Well located three blocks to the square. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
Hotel Elektor in Krakov
we had a suite with mini bar and kettle - lovely surprise and totally unexpected! A bit noisy at night (noise from street) - but overall fine.
Great Hotel
Asked for and received a Superior room with king size bed, received room 301 and it did not disappoint it faced into the court yard so it was quiet the bed was large and very comfortable also the room had a mini bar but we didn't use it, the large bathroom had a combined bath with shower, hair dryer and towels were changed daily , everything was spotless. Breakfast is up to 11:00 with everything you could wish for. After breakfast the room then becomes a Chinese restaurant which we used on our final night and turned out to be the best evening meal of our 4 night stay. Changed our money on leaving the hotel a few yards to the right in the direction of the Square and didn't have any problems in the other direction is another Kantor, don't use it met some people in the hotel who had a bad experience there. Bars and restaurants are all near by with a short walk to the main square, because of the more than helpful staff, the amenities and the excellent location we will be definitely be going back
Great location and staff!
When we first checked in we got one of their old rooms which we stayed fir one night and did not like. We requested a new room and they obliged. Staff are terrific!
Very Good Hotel
Great hotel in great location. Large, clean and quiet room. Can't expect more with this price. Don't come downstairs too late for hot food at breakfast. They won't refill it.
Fantastic hotel!
The hotel staff was great when we checked in. We got there early and we were aloud to go have breakfast downstairs. The breakfast each morning was very filling with both hot and cold choices on their buffet. Our room was beautiful with a separate living room and the bedroom had 2 large double beds in it. Both rooms had large flat screen tv's. The hotel is located just 2 blocks from the main square, so it is very convenient to all the attractions. The Wifi was spotty, but once we mentioned it to the front desk and the router was reset it worked fine. It was a bit noisy at night with the windows open, but once we shut them the noise disappeared. We stayed 4 nights and we were sad to move on to our next location. I would stay here again!
Central
Very good for visiting old town, Market square at the end of the street. Bus and rail stations 10-15 minutes walk. Staff helpful and breakfast good. Rooms quite large. We had a plastic ceiling tile fall down in the bathroom but they moved us to another room immediately without any fuss. Hotel decor dark and no pictures of any kind. A few bright pictures would improve ambience.
A Perfect Final Night
We spent 8 days in Poland, all told. After several days in Krakow (in another fine hotel) and a side-trip to another city, we needed a room for one last night before our departure. The Elektor might not look like much from the street, but it's nicely appointed inside and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I chose it mainly based on its proximity to the train station, but it's still in the Old Town - just a minute or two from Mały Rynek (the little market square) and three or four minutes from the main event in Rynek Główny.
Very good hotel
The hotel is in the right place , clean , the room is very big and nice The breakfast is good There is no a/c in our room , bat the wather is good, so we don't need it
Ideal for central Krakow
A very pleasant low key hotel in an ideal location for all the sights of old Krakow. Currently being re-furbished so maybe prices will go up (?).
Good hotel, great value
Good hotel. Spotty wifi, but good service. Solid breakfast. Great location. Fantastic value. Would stay again.
What a lovely hotel!
Not sure what I expected other than a typical "old town" Euro hotel, however was our party of 3 surprised,...pleasantly! The rooms were large, comfortable and quiet (as much as a college town can be during a holiday weekend). It was 1 block from the stare miasto and within walking distance of everything in the surrounding areas of town. The cleaning staff was incredible. The front desk personnel was incredibly helpful and friendly with any and all questions and requests. As part of my Mom's "bucket list" , The Elektor was the perfect choice to make visiting Krakow a great experience.
HOTEL ELEKTOR KRAKOW POLAND
HOTEL SITUATED CLOSE TO THE TOWN CENTRE. STAFF VERY HELPFULL ,KIND BUT THERE WAS NO HANGER FOR DRESSING GOWN IN THE BATHROOM, NO SOAP IN THE BATHROOM, NO HANGERS FOR TOWELS (VERY UNCOMFORTABLE) MINI BAR ; LACK OF DRY DRINKS, EVERYTHING V.CHEEP AND SWEEET - NO CHOICE. BED VERY HIGH, NO CHOICE IN PILLOWS, IN DOUBLE ROOM ONLY ONE CHAIR PLUS STOOL FOR FOOT REST.
Loved it
Hotel is well located for touring. Staff spoke excellent English, were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of 6 recently refurbished rooms. Very comfortable beds, breakfast selection was good and ran from 7-11 AM so you could make it brunch to save on meal expenses. Tour tickets were available in the hotel for concerts and other attractions. 5 min. walk to the Market Square, and 7 min walk to the train station. Would stay again.
Hotel Elektor in July 2013
Hotel Elektor was a great pleasure for our stay on Wroclaw. The staff was very charming and helpful. The location was perfect for the Old Town. It was almost great! There were 2 problems: the noise outside, that could not be blocked by a closed window because we needed the air for the room was very hot. And secondly, the Internet never worked in the personal room.
Noise
The staff were reasonably helpful. No breakfast included. Location was good, near the main train station in Krakow. However, during the night, for some unknown reason the TV turned itself on just after midnight with the volume blaring, and then there was the noise from the water heater or something, and this just went on, and on. So all in all, if they get that fixed and you can sleep, it is ok. But with the bloody water heater or whatever it was making noise, this could be a problem.
Nice hotel in the old town of Krakow
Nice hotel in the old town. Lots of character. Only gripes were the fact that our room was at the front of the hotel, and with an open window it's difficult to sleep because of the raucious nightlife until 2 or 3am. Another one was the "design" of the bath/shower in the bathroom. While it works fine, the shower head was located in the wrong location, which made it tricky to take a normal shower without "flooding" the whole bathroom. Some acrobatics were needed. Otherwise a very nice hotel with a great breakfast buffet.
Great location but noisy surroundings.
A supberb location which makes for a lot of noisy people walking outside the room. Hotel itself is great but the noise and very high cost of parking each night takes away a little.
Great staff, loud crowds
The suite in which I stayed was very clean. The staff was very accommodating. A couple of light bulbs were burned out and the circulating fan in the bedroom did not work, but all else was in good order. Because this hotel is so well-situated in the middle of Old Town, the noise level, especially between midnight and 4 A.M., may annoy some guests. This is not the hotel to choose if you have small children who need to sleep. Otherwise, this is quite a nice hotel and I would consider staying there again.
Hotel Elektor
Excellent location and nice hotel if a little dated. Nice sized rooms. Hotel is not too big either so very cozy feel to it. Breakfast also very good and the staff were lovely. I'd recommend this to anyone.
Wonderful experience!
We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay. The staff was friendly and efficient - the hotel room was clean and the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job every day. The hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of the city and very close to tram lines. We would highly recommend The Hotel Elektor.
Hotel Elektor was a beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious with a lot of drawers. The staff was very accommodating. The spent many hours trying to help us with our problem, they even suggested our answer. Would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return.
Great place to stay
We couldn't ask for a better hotel. Hotel Elektor was a few short blocks from the main square in Old Town and many tourist sites were within walking distance. The main train station was just a few blocks away. The employees at the hotel were always courteous and helpful. I wish that we could have stayed longer! The rooms were large and very clean. Everyday the maid service left the room spotless. Krakow is a great place to visit. The people are so friendly. We plan to return to Krakow and will probably stay at the Hotel Elektor. Breakfast was included and it was a great way to start the day.
Gode senger med to enorme puter
Great hotel
Clean, elegant, very helpful staff. The room looked just like the pictures. The breakfast buffet was delicious.
Gode senger, god frokost og sentralt.
Siisti ja viihtyisä hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla. Ikkuna kadulle josta mukava seurata menoa.
Charmigt mitt i stan
Charmigt hotell, centralt beläget. Rymliga rum för två personer. Lugnt, tyst och mysigt hotell. Bekväma sängar och mycket bra frukost.
Can't get much closer to the city, really nicely located. Very clean and nice room, can recommend.
Andre gang vi bor på dette hotellet
Ligger veldig sentralt til Old Town sentrum. Kun gå avstand til det meste. God service og komfortabel opphold for par. Anbefales!
