Five minute walk from the ADO; 10 minute walk to Manzanillo & Angelito beach; front desk and cleaning staff were pleasant and very helpful. Plan to return.

Great location, helpful staff

I stayed here with my family of 5. Walkable to a couple different beaches. The room was clean, had cold ac and a nice little kitchenette. Very convenient and worked well for me and my family.

Excellent small hotel for your stay in Puerto Escondido! Although personal preference, my bed and pillow were both excellent! Very nice staff. Clean and very central. Front street can be a bit noisy at night, so if that bothers you, ask for a room at the back. Air conditioning was flawless!

Nice little hotel with friendly and helpful people. Only concern at all was the bathroom could have been a little cleaner.

Muy cómoda propiedad, bien ubicado en Puerto para comer o compras. La habitación bungalow fue grande con cocinta muy conveniente. Limpieza vino cada día e hizo un buen trabajo. Mis únicas quejas fueron que el balo fue luy pequeño y que las paredes fueron muy flacas y ae podía escucjar euidos de las calles i de otras habitaciones.

Great spot. Friendly staff. Perfect location

We really enjoyed staying here. We had a second floor room with a balcony overlooking the small pool around the back. The beds were super comfy, and the fan was quiet. We didn't need to use the air conditioning. The staff were very helpful and attentive, and I enjoyed morning coffee and cakes near reception. The location is perfect - a very short walk from Manzanillo and Carrizalillo beaches, and also close to the restaurants and cafes on Rinconada. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Quiet, Clean, and Comfortable

Overall, a very positive experience. I got a great suggestion for dinner at a nearby restaurant from the man at reception. The room was clean and tidy, the common spaces relaxing. It is in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of many places, including Playa Angelito. They do close the gates of the door Late at night, and so when I returned near to midnight I almost found myself locked out.

Decent hotel, close to busy street to get taxis with ease. Pool is small but nice.Rooms were clean but in the morning notices very small insects on the counter. Front desk staff was not the greatest and the wi-fi was very weak.

Not a bad spot

Room are pretty basic, nice to have the AC, no hot water and the wifi network was non existent. But it is within walking distance to some taquerias, and Carrizalillo beach for an amazing sunset.

Location?

Older hotel. Worn but clean. Staff are pleasant. Located close to Super Chedraui. If you do not mind walking a ways, you can visit Carrizalillo beach and the Rinconada restaurants .

Good Location In Puerto Escondido

The staff and location made all the difference at this budget hotel. The location is close enough to walk to certain beaches or a quick economical taxi or uber to others. The staff had great information for restaurants and things to do.

Nice room, great value

The friendly receptionist let our family check in early, which was much appreciated after a long overnight bus ride. We were put in a very clean, bright, comfortable room with two double beds on the top floor facing the back of the building. When we returned later that day, it was obvious that the air conditioner wasn't working, so we slept in one of the kitchenette units (top floor, facing the street) for the first night. It was very noisy due to an event in the plaza across the street that night. (We also had the option of staying in a darker, musty-smelling room on the main floor facing the inside of the building.) The next day, they got the A/C working in our original room, and we enjoyed the rest of our stay there. The pool area is small but clean, and the kids had fun playing in it. The hotel is in a central location in Puerto Escondido: a 10-20 minute walk to a few different beaches and a few blocks from the grocery store, market, bus station, and restaurants. The price was great; would definitely stay again.

Loved Hotel Careyes!

My new go to place when I stay in Puerto Escondido. The hotel, area, and especially the staff were wonderful. Loved my room!

Great staff, amply sized rooms, and handy location

I'm very pleased I stayed at Hotel Careyes. The room size was excellent, and I really enjoyed the organic eggs for breakfast. The location is a short walk from many places - Carrizalillo Beach, the town center (e.g. Cazuelas Pozoleria for some local food) and the adoquín (tourist shops).

A very beautiful hotel for the price, close to both the beach and the town. Wonderful terrace and pool. There is even a vegetarian cafe in the lobby that serves excellent hot cakes, tortas and coffee.

Centrally located

Basic budget hotel - $32 Cdn/night in November. Our room was spacious & clean. The beds are firm but comfortable. There is a small pool, cafe & pleasant 2nd floor lounge area. The hotel is within walking distance of Centro & beaches & restaurants & bars. Puerto Escondido is a great place to visit & I would recommend to anyone who is not into the all inclusive scene.

Clean Hotel a bit away from beach......

gt a huge room with 3 beds..nice hotel but a bit far from the beach. It rained 2 days (very unusual for this time of the year) so had to take taxis, not expensive, but nowhere close to go....no Breakfast service although tables and chairs available, were not told that we could have a coffee at least. when leaving we did get one for Pesos $20 each.OK. But they could have offered it........a bit of generosity pays sometimes ......

Hotel Caryeres - a little gem

We were a little nervous about where we were staying as we have mostly stayed in apartments or all inclusive. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel - area - and just the overall stay. The staff were great - the hotel room clean and had most things we needed. We were centrally located for anything we wanted to do.

Todas las instalaciones bien, es lo que esperaba, lo único malo es la.conexion a internet y en el cuarto donde me quedé la regadera del baño era poco funcional, pero todo lo demás muy bonito y excelente atención por parte del personal

El hotel es bonito amplio y muy cómodo, además de estar a 2 min literal de la playa o del Chedraui que tambien esta muy cerca. yo solo me hospede un día pero recomiendo que lo hagan por mas noches para disfrutar mas de sus instalaciones.

El retrete pegado a la pared, literalmente pegado en forma leteral. Para una persona adulta es muy incómodo. Y lo peor de todo... el apagador de la luz ¡adentro de la regadera! Muy peligroso
