Very nice people and super clean. Hot water. Quiet. Happy we are here.
Camba Hotel is a small, nice, and quiet place. The staff are friendly and polite. I had a pleasant stay.
The upper room was to hot in the evenings
Oaxaca with mother
It is a nice enough place. A little bit of a walk from the zocalo. Very basic, no frills but good for the price and clean. Walkable and quiet but not in the heart of the city.
No fridge or ac
I booked through Expedia and somehow the property decided Expedia didn’t charge us enoug. So they were going to charge us separately. Our flight was canceled and we booked it @8pm and will check out at 3am so will sleep 7hrs or less and Expedia has been keeping us on the phone for over 20 minutes while we are trying to figure out our return home
Excellent 2 night stay. Other than the room being very hot in the afternoon, this was an excellent no frills hotel that totally met our needs.
The staff is amazing!! They were very polite and helpful. The room is clean but extremely small. There is noise and loud music at night during the weekends and expect to wake up at 6 am with the music they play at the breakfast area. You can hear everything from the adjacent rooms, and there is no control or rule about people checking out at dawn and speaking loudly while gettiing ready to leave. Coffee and sweet bread early in the morning is a nice touch.
The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was no road noise, the security was very good, the staff was friendly, there was no shortage of hot water. It is not a luxury hotel, but it met all of my requirements well. I would stay again.
Oaxaca
Great quiet stay very comfortable. Arturo at the front desk was absolutely amazing and very helpful. Was a pleasure meeting and staying at this hotel. A couple blocks future from the four square plaza area but very easy to walk. Yours around we booked at the front desk and the prices where fantastic.
A very clean place, nice quiet neighborhood..very close to everything. We walk around everywhere, coffee and bread every morning and it was delicious
Everybody was great!
Great value and extremely walkable. Staff was helpful and even insisted I worked on my Spanish when discussing things with them. Of course I wanted to keep responding in English but it was definitely helpful! Very kind. Will stay again when I’m back.
I especially loved the Cafe area in the lobby with all the beautiful plants! The maid service was outstanding, every corner was clean!!!
Decent budget friendly accommodation
Very nice staff and friendly service. The rooms were a decent size and were clean. The staff were happy to keep our bags safe until the evening when we caught our bus. There a few things that could have made the stay a bit more comfortable. The fan in the room only had one speed, which was set to super strong. I was advised other rooms have different fans which do have different speeds - so you might get lucky, or you might not. The shower head was not very good. Also, there was no power points near the bed head, which was not so convenient when wanting to use and charge the phones. All things considered, it was a reasonably comfortable stay and I think the price was reasonable for the room provided.
The staff was polite and willing to assist,I was able to park my car almost infront since walking to the Zocalo and andador is just about 5 blocks. The Hotel is right for the price you pay, there is plenty of hot water, fan only ,no aircondition but Oaxaca is always good weather. Overall I recommend this place.
Nice simple hotel and very clean. I stayed for 5 nights and I slept very comfortable. Staff is friendly and ready to help. The Internet / wifi was always perfect in the room and in the breakfast area.
It's a clean and safety place. The staff it's cool and really kind. Just the rooms need's air conditioner because it's really hot all day. Really good hotel. I love it
Very quiet, clean, and friendly staff
The layout at the front was fairly interesting. Feels relatively safe. Helps that the general area is low key. The front metal gate is closed at night, but there's usually someone in the front who is on-call to receive guests. Which is perfect if you're coming in late as hell like we did. Also helps to message them in advance that you're coming in late. I did and they were expecting me when we got there. Great. Wifi was good enough to work on and take video calls and stream stuff. The room is ehhh. Don't take it the wrong way, it's very perfectly serviceable. If you're booking here, you're on a budget and for the budget, it's totally perfect. If you're expecting way more, please look somewhere else or adjust your expectations down to something more reasonable.
This hotel is good for value. The location is very good, very close to zocalo the main square, also the local market. It's very convenient. The staffs are all very friendly and humble and take care of the guests. They provide breakfast, coffee and bakery, simple but nice. The yard is cozy. The only downside(reason I gave 4 star) is that we checked in on Saturday, it's very noisy, there's a gym center or pub nearby keep playing punching music the whole afternoon until 10:30pm which is very annoying to me. The other time it's actually pretty quiet. In general, it's still a very good choice considering money for value.
The hotel is clean, the bed is comfortable. Every body was nice ,friendly and professional
The staff is great. Arturo and the crew makes it feel like a home away from home. The housekeepers keep the facility super clean and the reception crew makes sure you stay happy. I got there way early before normal check-in time(3pm) but the room had been cleaned and ready, so they allowed me to check in right away at 10.a.m The owner even talked to me to see if I was content with the facilities. That's just the way this Hotel rolls. Always looking out for the client.
I was there April 13 to April 17. Those days were extremely hot, and the ceiling fan was not enough to keep the room cool and comfortable at all times. It was hard to sleep at night. I want to suggest the owner, who is an amazing lady, to either upgrade to mini split AC units or at least purchase and provide standing fans in all rooms. I loved the stay despite the hot temperatures inside my room. The staff is amazing. Arturo, Andres, and Jose, thank you for all the attention and great things you do to make this place the place it is. You guys make a difference.
We stayed here for 7 nights in feb 2022 The room was nice and clean , the bed was comforrable the staff was berry friendly , it is walkable to many of the sights. Museums, and restaurants in the city center we had a great experience thank you so much Arturo and Andres for all your Kindness . And for making us feal at home cecilia and jorge
Inexpensive, bare bones property. Just Oaxaca Centro but definitely walkable. Note that the front desk is closed after 2300.
Quiet location; comfortable beds (although offering a queen-sized mattress would be nice); friendly and attentive staff. It's not in the greatest location of Oaxaca, but it was quiet and reasonably close to the zocalo. Maybe offer slightly better coffee and some fruit at breakfast?
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk personnel spoke English which was good because I only speak 5 words in Spanish.
STAFF VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL...convenient location VERY basic accommodations
Excellent staff, great location, clean rooms.
We had a great stay here. Staff was very friendly. Rooms simple and clean. Walls are very thin and you can hear everyone else in other rooms. Hot water often ran out in the mornings. Breakfast was coffee fresh juice and a variety of bread. Wifi also doesn’t normally work in the room, and you have to go downstairs to the breakfast area. Rooms were clean, and location was excellent. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.
Inviting, Comfortable & Clean!
The employees were a delight! I was there for 1 night at first as I was moving on to an Airbnb for the rest of my stay (I was on a budget). That ended up going badly and I came back to Hotel Camba where the staff allowed me to get into my room earlier than expected and accommodated all my questions about where to eat, find a money exchange, etc. The breakfast was simple but fresh and the coffee hot. The room was super clean and the public space/lobby was inviting and airy with nice plants and bright colors. To top it all off, I felt safe here. This place is a little gem!
Nice hotel close to zocalo, centre of Oaxaca.
Hotel is clean and efficient, within 4 blocks of the historic centre and two excellent mercados. One is full of restaurants with excellent food so just join the locals. The tlayudas there are unbelievable. The second mercado sells fruits, vegetables, clothing, souvenirs, etc. Oaxaca is full of life day and night and you will be right in the middle of it.
pleasant
welcoming service, pleasant area for breakfast, room simple, but comfortable
a 5 minute walk to all Atrractions.
staff is so helpful clean and a SAFE SPOT lots of places to eat and i love street food the tour to Monte Alban was 70 mexican pesos and 65 peso to get in there are a lot of cities nearby
Ok
WIFI
