Food was amazing. Staff were great. Older facility and it shows. Too many uneven floors that can cause you to trip.
Stayed in a pool access room which was great in the heat. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Spa services fantastic. Close to Patong beach, Bangla road, and otop markets just across the road from hotel. Loved this hotel. Will be back again.
I have stayed in this hotel 5 times now . It is in good central location in Patong . The staff are very good and friendly. Will be back here next year .
Very nice place.
Great location to Patong Beach, Central Plaza, and Walking street. Very reasonable price point, good food, and friendly staff. Everyone is very accomodating. I would definitely stay here again if/when we return to Phuket. My only recommendation to the hotel is to improve the lighting in the rooms. The lighting is awful.
Grand Mercure is in a great location. Street food right across from the hotel, massage places everywhere, money exchange and walking distance to Bangla Road. Locations to book excursions are also close to hotel. The staff is wonderful and courteous. Everything I requested was bought to the room quickly. The breakfast buffet was good a lot of options. My group also did the seafood buffet one night and we loved it. No regrets.
Excellent serviced. stayed 6 Nights.
Great location with lots of local restaurants. 5 minutes walk to Patong beach. Very conveniently located. Staffs are very friendly. Pool area is great. Not too crowded. The only problem is that the humidity makes the floor of your room wet. You might need a dehumidifier.
Good
Stay is good. But room was not spacious. Wash room is small. Not worth the money we paid. the breakfast is so nice and delicious
Place is 10/10 for me from the who are all super generous and go out of the way for you to how clean the place was the food is beautiful can’t fault this place will definitely be staying here again
My stay last year was more enjoyable
Fantastic staff..
The hotel seemed under staffed for the amount of rooms they have. The front desk was difficult to deal with. Breakfast available does not mean included, there was no option to include when we booked so copped a $65 a day breakfast charge. Our room didn’t get cleaned or made up until late on the afternoon, 5-6pm. The pool is tiny compared to what you see in the photos. No late check out is poor given the flight home with Thai Airways isn’t until after midnight, waiting in the lobby for 2.5 hours is a bit of a joke.
Hotel was ok not overly flashy. Bfast needs improvement was not good at all
Great staff service, clean rooms , suitable for family. Buffet is good with wide option of spread.
Glad to choose this hotel.
Rooms were nice and location was good. Fridge didn’t work so they replaced for another one that didn’t work so good spoiled in there and you needed ice for any drinks. Pool was good but not many areas to sit overlooking the pool unless you got a room with pool access Taxi drivers at end of the entrance were annoying and if you did not go with them were making jokes and snide remarks about people which was really off putting. Tv only has local tv and a few international news channels and no movie channels which isn’t great for a 4 star hotel. So you need to bring your own if you are to sit in at all just wanting to chill.
Excellent service.
Great stay, right across the street from markets. Perfect location for walking around shops, food, etc. 20 min walk to beach and close to Bangla Rd. Overall great stay.
The Staff at Grand Mercure Phuket Were very professional nothing was too much trouble and the service was second to none . I can tell they all love their jobs and take great pride in what they done , service like this is very hard to find these days in the western world , hence will be back for sure …. Keep up the good word , you should all be proud of yourselves Welldone !!!
Always an excellent stay at the Grand Mercure. An oasis in the heart of Patong. Endless food and entertainment only steps away. Outstanding dinner buffets almost every other night, a must-try. Staff absolutely too-notch, helpful and kind. Excellent pool, and swim-up rooms available. Lots of on-site activities, family friendly, shops and a little bar too! Highly recommend hotel.
Convenient location Friendly staff We loved the pool access from our room
Was back for the second time and will be back again.
Damp in all rooms! STAY AWAY from this hotel! Our anticipation for a luxurious 5-star experience at this hotel was met with disappointment. Despite booking a standard room, we were greeted by a pervasive smell of dampness upon arrival, accompanied by consistently wet floors and bed sheets throughout our 6-night stay. Despite bringing the issue to the attention of hotel staff, the offered solutions were inadequate, indicating a systemic problem with dampness in the establishment. Even after being relocated to another room, the same issues persisted. Additionally, the service we received was subpar, with management displaying a lack of urgency in addressing our concerns about obtaining a refund to seek accommodation elsewhere. The offered £150 refund was a mere fraction of the amount we had paid for our stay, leaving us feeling undervalued and dissatisfied with our experience. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing and frustrating hotel stays we've ever experienced.
Was not overly happy about my recent stay at this hotel. Paid for a deluxe room to be provided with a double single bed joined to form a queen bed.
The property istself and amenities are very beautiful. We booked a room with the pool right outside… and while Thailand has mosquitos I feel like this place offers a tropical oasis inside the city which helps the mosquitos to flock to this area. We had no issues with them just a lot more here and other places. The check in process was quick but unlike any of our other stays when we upgraded the room with free included mini bar… everything here was still a little pricy. I had high high hopes for this hotel and just wasn’t everynting I hoped it would be….. but overall a great place to stay in Patong.
First class hotel. New, beautiful lobby and outstanding pools. Room was clean and modern. Breakfast buffet was great! Walking distance to everything Patong Beach has to offer
We stayed in a pool access room opposite the pool bar. This was very noisy with both the bar and the kids pool right beside it. I'd suggest you go towards the end of the hotel away from.the kids pool, if you want a quite holiday. The bed was a solid as a rock and the pillows flat as a tack. Liked, the breakfast of a morning was great.
It was all very nice except for people in the lobby that check you in and out. They were by far the coldest people I met in Thailand period. The greeting was cold and the checkout was worst. I was checking out and informed the woman I did not use the mini bar and she made me wait to verify.i used nothing with a cleaning woman in the room. really insulting and then does not thank us for staying 2 weeks. Shame that occurred with the first and last people you talk with at the resort as that's what you remember
The hotel was beautiful, the staff were very accommodating and the restaurant food was amazing. They had a great spread
Great hotel excellent service and amenities, walking distance to Patong beach. Excellent food and drinking options all close. Would definitely stay there again.
The Grand Mercure is like a sanctuary away from the craziness of Patong. Hotel space is well thought out. Our room (Deluxe Pool Access Room) was fantastic. To have the ability to step from your room into a pool reserved for these rooms only, makes you feel spoiled. Restaurant, pool bar, café and other amenities are a good size and comfortable.
Great spot!
Great place! We had a poolside room with breakfast included and we loved it. The shower was a bit awkward and the dehumidifier needed to be changed everyday otherwise it would beep. But the room and hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We stayed with friends who were also staying at the same hotel. The location is central to lots of spots including Bangla Road.
This was a short but lovely stay, we enjoyed it.
Friendly staff. Close to shopping and beach
Nice hotel, well decorated room, comfortable bed. We stayed in a pool access room which was great ( although very humid, the humidifier struggle to keep up and needed to be emptied every six hours. Excellent buffet breakfast, great staff especially Panckae ( yes that’s her name ) who did everything to ensure a comfortable stay. Yes this is a family hotel but Management should consider placing families booking pool acces from nearer to the kids pool, and couples at the other end of the hotel as these rooms could be relaxing, as nearby screaming kids means I would not book here again.
We had an enjoyable stay, perfect spot to be walking distance to plenty of restaurants, nightlife, while still having all of the amenities. Definitely would stay here again. The rooms with the walkouts to the private pools were awesome.
Nice place to spend some time at the end of a hectic holiday.
Staff absolutely fantastic!
We stayed here for 8 nights in a swim out room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff right from the beginning at check in were amazing and very attentive. The resort is located in a quieter part of Patong but still very close to all the action that Patong has to offer. The buffet breakfast was delightful and staff always walking around asking if you wanted another cup of coffee/tea. I highly recommend this resort to anyone wishing to stay in the Patong area. We will be back
Inadequate help in the dining area during breakfast.
Four items were missing from the minibar on arrival. The battered wooden hangers in the wardrobe probably wouldn't have been admitted to a car boot sale. The plug mechanism in the bathroom's hand basin didn't function; the promised rectification never arrived. The extensive re-grouting in the shower and washbasin areas looked as though it had been applied by an elephant. Screw heads and edging areas of wallpaper linings were sprouting the dreaded rust colour, that harbinger of worse things to come. The roller blind covering the view into the shower was misshapen and badly frayed all down one edge. The wall panel accommodating internet ports was corroding. The A/C system needed the assistance of a dehumidifier unit, all very well if you don't mind being woken up by a beeping alarm at 4 am to empty the tank and then listen to the loud drops as the reservoir starts to refill. Take travel adapters with you: remarkably, this rather new hotel doesn't offer universal sockets. Even the dehumidifier needed an adapter. The hotel will loan you one upon signing for it. The pool is excellent; the attendant staff wonderful. The spacious lobby is also wonderful, especially if you like the thwacking of balls on the pool table and mega-screens displaying football matches. You might give the gents toilet in this area a miss; the rotting wooden panels are a sight not to behold. The hotel, barely ten years old, won a Best Island Resort Award in 2023, if I recall correctly. Amazing Thailand!
We had a blast at the Grand Mercure in Patong Beach, Thailand! The staff were super friendly and always on hand to help. The food? Amazing! Whether we were sipping on cool drinks or munching on local dishes, we were in heaven. And the rooms – so comfy, we barely wanted to leave. Totally recommend for anyone looking for a chilled and comfy beach getaway!
Quiet amongst the crazy
Perfect hotel in Patong Beach! You can't hear any of the craziness of the streets. We got a pool access villa which was perfect! Great food and pool
Very good, except the WiFi, which kept disconnecting.
Nice stay
It was a quiet place in the middle of Patong, so that’s rare and lucky to have. Rooms are decent, don’t look like the photos in terms of lighting or size, but they are comfortable. The rooms do show signs of age though, ours had rust, bits of mould, etc. Their happy hour at the pool bar is daily from 4-6, a special menu comes out during this time, it’s buy-1-get-1-free which is good, however, I wanted a non-happy hour drink from the normal menu however they refused to give me the menu, weird but I just the bar staff couldn’t be bothered. The “4 pools” description is misleading, it’s 1 pool with 3 private additional pools only for people who have direct pool access. The breakfast is decent, there is a wide variety of pastries, eggs, noodles, even Indian food etc. The coffee as part of breakfast is awful, every coffee tastes either burnt or just milk. We stayed for 2 weeks and when booking we thought we booked WITH breakfast, upon check-in when we were told no breakfast, we asked if we could add-on breakfast for every day of our stay (2 weeks) for the same rate as what is advertised online, (hotels usually do this no problem however they refused to agree), unfortunately saying we need to pay full price (1400 baht), this is SUPER expensive compared to the rest of Patong. Unfortunately they lost our custom there, we only had breakfast 3 times, all other days we walked a few minutes to other places.
Great location minutes away from the action but still quiet to rest. Breakfast buffet was great and definitely worth it. Front desk was very helpful.
Centrally located, plenty of sun beds round pool, lovely food and breakfast buffet was wonderful. Staff extremely friendly. Hotel was very clean with excellent facilities.
Brilliant stay. Had a bit of everything for anyone looking for a good time.
Everything was good, room, food, service and location. Couldn't fault anything, would definitely stay there again
Really nice place. If I was picky I would say the rooms above level 0 did not have balconies but it was still really nice
Great place and room. Good location. Staff nice and friendly.
Grand Mercure is in an ideal location! After a very long night on Bangla Road having fun we were able to walk back to the hotel if we wanted to but we opted for the tuk tuk for the experience. It’s so many food spots and shops around. Hotel has delicious breakfast options. Swim out pool room was a little small but definitely a great feature.
Great location and staff. Close enough to major attractions without the noise. Breakfast was always good.
I loved the pool area. I like the quiet atmosphere here when you walk outside it is more noisy and bustling.
Love the property, staff amazing, clean Not enough light in the room, lighting was very poor, very high step to get out of bathtub
There wasn't anything really to not like. It was within easy walking distance to Bangla road, and markets and a block from the beach.
Stayed for 7 nights and couldn't fault the experience in any way. Great amenities for everyone in our family regardless of age. The staff were wonderful, in particular Jasmine and Watt, who took us on a guided tour of the Banzaan markets and taught us how to prepare and cook some amazing Thai dishes in the kitchen as part of the cooking school experience. Both people went above and beyond and we couldn't have had a better day. Our daughter who is 7 is still talking about her friends in Phuket!
I have stayed at this hotel 5 times now . It is in a central position , the staff are very helpful and polite. I intend to stay at this hotel on my next visit to Phuket.
The hotel is amazing with lovely staff ready to help you. I went with my young daughter and we both felt safe at the hotel. Cant say the same for the surrounding area of Patong, lots of chaos and people pushy, however some may like this. Definitely worth the stay at this resort.
Phuket is very nice
I like this Hotel, the location was perfect close to everything was easy on tuk tuk to get around, The staff was friendly and very nice. Breakfast was great large variety. I would stay here again. Bring only cash to Thailand no credit cards for shopping food or taxis. Everything is cash no, banks do not have Dollars only Bhat. Do not change money at the airport you get a lot less, there are many money exchange everywhere for cheaper, compare your prices.
I like this hotel, but I’m a woman and I was called as Mr in a mini bar bill
Very good I will stay again
This is a lovely hotel - very well located and well maintained. Highly recommend the pool access rooms! The buffet breakfast was amazing and the food in the Bubbles restaurant and the cafe Chou- Chou was excellent. All my requests made before arriving were met which was great!
Recommended
fantastic location with easy walking distance to beach and main streets. Quiet enough to simply relax by the pool. Fantastic friendly staff. Great location to base family on our trip
Great staff and service, close to patong beach and bangla road. Breakfast is really good.
Convenient location
Such a wonderful place to stay, just outside of the vibrant Patong area. Close to shopping and restaurants. Amazing breakfast buffet
The cleansiness
I had a nice comfortable stay. Would stay again
Super clean hotel in an excellent location close to the main attraction of Patong (Beach & Bangla) and yet super quiet. I would recommend this hotel for a nice and relaxing stay in an overwhelming area like Patong.
the staff and hospitality were very excellent
Location is perfect. Near to all shops, mall, Bangla Road and patong beach. Breakfast was good with lots of varieties of western and local food. Halal food was also included. Staff was excellent. Front office staff Ten and Bambi was very professional. Sita is a real gem. House keeping team was very attentive to our needs. It was an excellent stay overall. This was my 4th stay at the Mercure and I will definitely go back again and again.
We loved our stay at the Mercure. The kids absolutely enjoyed kids clun with Apple, Deeda and Nong. Food and drinks were great and rooms were always cleaned to perfection. They went above and beyond to make my daughters birthday special with decorations and cake. Reception staff are always friendly and helpful and really try their best to accomodate. We will definitely be back to the Mercure on our next visit to Patong. And will be highly recommending to our friends and family. Thank you for making our holiday memorable and safe.
Overall we had a great stay at Grand Mercure. It was clean, great staff and great location in Patong, walking distance to beach and restaurants. The only minor things were the beds were quite hard and they only have one restaurant. We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely hotel and staff
Its too bad
Fantastic location close to everything staff and service great. Will recommend and keep in mind for future trips.
Great place. Walking distance to the beach. Fantastic staff. Good facilities.
Nice hotel, enjoyed our stay.
The location was great, rooms was spacious and the hotel was impeccably cleaned
The Grand Mecure, Patong met and exceeded our expectations in all areas. From arrival to departure, every aspect of our stay was a pleasure. Overall cleanliness and service was impeccable, the staff were very accomodating, friendly and always helpful with a smile. We opted for our stay, the 1 bedroom villa. Basically everything was catered for. My only one noticeable 'constructive comment' would be (concerning the villa only, as I can't comment on other rooms in the complex) is that the bathroom/shower/toilet is one room. The toilet has a clear glass door and feel as though it should perhaps be translucent/frosted to obscure vision? Some couples may be comfortable with seeing each other plainly 'sit down' for toilet. But I just felt a little privacy for that particular act should be given. Apart from that, I would not hesitate in staying again at this property when visiting Patong or recommending it to anyone.
Extremely walking close to numerous things (food, shopping, beach, etc).
Hotel brilliant. Pool area great. The staff were fantastic I will definitely revisit this hotel in the future.
This is a great property which this time seemed to be struggling to keep up with the high season demand. Limited service at breakfast and the frustrating issue of sun beds being claimed early in the morning but hours later still vacant. The hotel needs to monitor this.
Everything was absolutely perfect. 5 star
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Walking distance to everything. Highly recommend.
Happy comfy and relax solo stay
Very good and happy to stay here, very convenient to walk around , as have restaurant nearby , they really decorate our room for our anniversary and my hubby birthday trip . We really appreciate their efforts and everything there. Will be back to stay here again in our future trip.
We had a wonderful trip at the Grand Mercure Patong. The room was excellent. Good food at the restaurant and the spa was really nice too. Would highly recommend. Will definitely stay there on our next trip.
Staff was great and attentative! 2 bedroom villa was perfect for 2 families with kids and the kids loved the private pool! Will definitely stay here again!
The hotel lobby was very nice but that fooled me into staying at this hotel for 3 nights It started with check in asking for a deposit not previously mentioned while booking online (understandable) I said I will settle account when checking out as I was not carrying so much cash towards the end of my trip, receptionist said she would have staff empty the bar fridge as another option. Great! Weren’t planning to use the overpriced drinks anyway Waited approx half hr to have our luggage delivered upstairs Toiletries were okay but what hotel doesn’t have shaving cream? Bathroom was mouldy Bathtub creaky Room was tiny and claustrophobic with a balcony that you can’t even go out into Bloody rip off given the price paid for the room Cherry on top: this is was my husbands 30th birthday trip and request was placed while booking. They refused to send us a slice of cake and candle because passport date was different, yes it was 2 weeks away! Staff did not offer to help with luggage, storing or taking it to the car on our way out Given the outlook of the hotel, you would expect guests to be welcomed Unfortunately hospitality is zero as this hotel
The hotel was average at best and not what we expected from a 5 star hotel. Service was absolutely abysmal, we could not believe how bad it was - particularly from there reception staff - whilst we were requesting a late check out the lady serving us (I believe her name was beer) was very discourteous and actually made it look like she was doing us a favor - nowhere near 5 star standards. The rooms are also very small and compact. The only saving grace is the location - moments away from Patong City & the beach. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and there are plenty other options across Phuket - we also stayed at the Angsana Laguna which was exceptional.
Clean and convenient
Fantastic hotel. Best place to stay in Patong. Great rooms, lovely property, very kind and helpful staff. Excellent food. Short walk to sights and sounds, including beach. Very happy! Paul P.
I enjoyed my recent stay at the Grand Mercure Phuket Patong. For such a large property it was quiet and peaceful. I stayed in a deluxe pool access room (132). I wish it received sunlight but unfortunately it did not. Always in the shade. Breakfast was plentiful and had many options.
Pool rooms (133-137) in the corner were very private with no intrusion from main pool and bar.
Enjoyed the stay
Lovely hotel in a great location. Across from the Otop Markets and walking distance to Jungceylon Shopping Mall and Bangla Road. The hotel also offers a free shuttle that can drop you off at the beach or the shopping mall
