Except for a mama bear and her cubs who tore up trash near our unit we had a fantastic time. Maintenance cleaned the mess up as soon as we reported it.
Love it here, likely to come back
Beautiful, and with lots of activity options even though it was the off season. The price you pay for the experience you get is amazing, and the condo/cabin is beautiful.
Amazingly beautiful place and it is our 2nd time. Same experience and same calmness in place.
Vacation
Was great except hid a bed was horrible for sleeping on other then that it has been a family vacation there fir the last at least 41 yrs!
Vacation
Was great except hidabed was horrible fir sleeping on
Great golfing
A wonderful, affordable place to stay, accommodating. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Was great being in the trees and watching the wildlife
Liked absolutely everything about this resort. Recreational and outdoor activities are awesome!
Clean, well stocked . Enjoyed hot tub multiple times. well maintained property
Very quiet property this time of year. Condo was clean and accommodating-lots of room for our 19 month old to run around and feel like he was at home. The staff were always welcoming and smiling as well!
Beautiful mountain villas
Was pleasant surprised by how beautiful the property was. Our unit was very clean and spacious, stocked with everything you’d need. The hotel check in was very friendly and informative. My family thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities!!!
The property was well stocked including laundry and dishwasher soap. Gorgeous view of the golf course. Large parking spots. All units were offset from each other so very private. Great hikes in the area and many ethnic variations of restaurants.
This property has a golf course that surrounds it. Beautiful greenery and mountains all around. A tranquil place to visit.
Mountain side getaway.
Our only disappointment was that they closed the pool and hot tub by 8:45 pm.
Comfortable stay
Fairmiont is a beautiful resort in a great location for golfing, hiking and relaxing . We stayed in a one bedroom mountainside villa . It was very clean just dated, The whole property could use some updating. But if you can look beyond the 80s decor, it is well appointed, large and comfortable, There is a lovely rec centre with an indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs as well as pickle ball/tennis courts. I would not hesitate to stay again,
Once again a wonderful stay at this property. The units are perfectly appointed with everything you could need. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The staff were beyond kind. And the pool/hot tubs were clean and lovely. We just love it here
Loved the villa itself with all the appliances, a fireplace, couch, nice kitchen and loft. The staff was pretty unwelcoming. Perhaps, they prefer older guests. We are in our 40s and have two well behaved teenagers. Right from the beginning my son just wanted to check out the pool and they were scolding him multiple times. When we came into office the second day, front desk guy was like why are you in here… & so defensive and not welcoming whatsoever…. However, I’m guessing he expected disappointment that all amenities were closed at 8:45pm even though signage said rec Center was open till 10pm. We found this to be very lame as we would’ve loved to have a chance to use amenities. Also, disappointed you have to pay for every thing. Pooltable, renting old dvds $5, renting tennis rackets…. Our friends were at condos on other side of river and all this was included. We were happy that one bundle of wood was included in the room for having 1 fire. After that it’s $15/bundle. I did wake up itchy after first night and second night. I am sure it’s bug bites but unsure what kind of bug. Other than that the place did appear clean and was cozy. They definitely have provided the means to heating the villa with 3 thermostats and electric heaters. We felt they weren’t welcoming to us… and so that put a damper on our enjoyment and I’d never want to go back. And closing the pool at 8:45 and other recreational options seems ridiculous to us.
Everything you need
We love the quiet atmosphere and being able to have a fire place to burn wood.
We meet up with family who had rented other villas. It was wonderful. Easy check in. Beautiful property. Plenty to do for our teenagers. The Rec building is great. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Friendly staff Beautiful and perfect for what we needed
Beautiful scenery.Qiet, clean.
Never got to stay as the highway was closed due to a snowstorm. Unfortunately the lodging management wouldn't re-book us, and Expedia was of no help, and so I had to forefeit my $$. I'm sure it's a lovely place -- Fairmont Hot Springs is great -- but I'm not really happy that no one was willing nto accommodate us given we couldn't actually get there for our stay.
See above comments.
We absolutely love the Fairmont Mountainside Villas and have been guests for several years. We have noticed that our Villa was in need of painting (outside deck area) as well as front door stoop. My husband and I chose to sleep on the pull out sofa bed so as to give our son and his wife added privacy in the upstairs loft area. The sofa bed was in desperate need of a new mattress. The Villa was well appointed however microwave was in need of repair as door release paddle stuck and was hard to open at times. The suite was very clean!! I absolutely loved the booking of hot tub times. It was so nice to have a limited amount of people in the outdoor spa. Your staff at check in were wonderful; very pleasant and professional. We will continue to holiday at the Mountainside Villas as we truly love the charm and character of this establishment. As a side note......is there any way we could request a Villa that allowed us to sit on our deck in the sun after our golf games??
Fantastic property in a beautiful setting with great amenities and a fully-furnished suite. We had a great time staying at the villas.
First time and it was a blast!
First time in BC and Fairmont Mountainside Villas did not disappoint! My family and I enjoyed our stay!
Within an hour of checking in, I tried cooking dinner only to find the large elements on the stove didn’t work. While trying to cook dinner, a mouse ran out from the behind oven. We phoned the front desk and a man brought us two mouse traps. Within an hour of receiving the traps, we caught two mice. I phoned to get more traps and Dale at the front desk said we would have to wait until morning. Luckily I was able to persuade him to send someone as we were going to pack up and head home. I’ve stayed in many hotels in many different countries and not once have I ever had mice in my suite. It was very unsettling and the place wasn’t cheap. I had to worry about my children all weekend getting to close to the mouse traps and unsure how many mice there would be. The property also didn’t have the best system for pool sign up. They make you wait in a line at 9am to book for the following day. So if you’re there for a weekend, it’ll be too late to book a spot at check-in. The next day is already booked up at 9am and check-in isn’t until 4pm.
Condo was Roomy, clean, great location, quiet. Toilets didn't always flush first try. Would have liked morning coffee provided in the room.
Fantastic family property, great Rec center, lots in the area to do
This is a beautiful location and we loved our stay there.
You had your own self contained villa. Very peaceful and private, with all possible amenities.
Golf trip
Great place and location! Close to lots of great golfing and the Columbia Lake for kayaking. Unit was lovely and had everything we needed. Only down side the master bedroom bed is very hard so not comfortable. Would definitely stay there again but request a topper for the bed.
Looking forward to next year.
This is an amazing property. Have been staying here with my family for a number of years and continue to look forward to our next trip. Like everything in Fairmont the property is older but the exceptional staff ensure the property is ready to receive guests. The onsite amenities are second to no other in the valley. You will not be disappointed with this vacation.
The property is all very outdated. Well kept, clean and in pretty good shape, but it feels like going back to the 80’s. We did enjoy our time there though!
We had a lovely stay here just this past weekend! It was very quiet this weekend, so the property was very relaxing. The villas are awesome, definitely dated but that didn't matter at all. Ours was very clean and in great shape, had a great kitchen and gorgeous view! The drive to the Fairmont ski hill was very short, but unfortunately, the Hot Springs were out of commission for the weekend. This wasn't a huge deal though because the rec centre at the villas had an awesome outdoor hot tub! One thing to keep in mind is they are very prompt with their 10 am check out. We had someone knock on our door at 9:55 am while we were just packing up, and they came in to get the laundry and start cleaning. It wasn't a problem at all, just surprised us! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for somewhere to stay while in Fairmont. A nice, full kitchen to cook, along with a BBQ on the deck. And very close to Panorama, Kimberley or the Fairmont Hot Springs ski hill! Awesome pool with an indoor and outdoor hot tub, a steam room and full locker rooms, and some great games in the rec centre.
Love this place.
We love this place. Kids love the pool. Beds are not very comfortable, but for two nights was okay. It is a good place to see wildlife. The kitchen has everything we needed. the resort is extremely clean
Great environment and staff
Facility was fantastic as well as the staff. Price was right and will definitely be back.
Perfect getaway spot...
Pleasant surprise, included gas bbq and was right on fairway of golf course in beautiful setting. Great for family or couple.
Amenities are great but the villa we were in did not have alot of privacy.
Great location, quiet and spacious. Very much enjoyed the amenities and had a wonderful time overall.
Beautiful mountain setting on the golf course. Very peaceful guest centric resort.
This is a second trip to this resort. The décor is a bit dated but it's very well maintained & immaculately clean. The villas are quiet & comfortable.
We absolutely love Fairmont and the villas that we stayed in. It is truly our favorite place to decompress and enjoy much needed peace and quiet. The beauty of the mountains and the landscape surrounding the villas are truly breathtaking. We do however have one area of concern. On our last night we did notice a small invasion of large black ants within our villa. This must be something new as we have never experienced these unwanted guests before. I brag about Fairmont to all and anyone who is willing to listen. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.
A perfect getaway with the comforts of home!
Fairmont Mountainside Vacation Villas is an excellent place to stay for a family of any age! The villas are equipped with all the supplies needed to buy groceries and make meals in your kitchen. The staff at the rec centre have extra appliances you may wish to use, at no extra cost. There is in villa laundry for your convenience and a deck to BBQ on. The beautiful pathway system allows for you to park your vehicle and walk up to the rec centre where you can swim, enjoy multiple hot tubs, workout, play raquet ball, sign up for activities for all ages or relax while puzzling or reading a book in their common area. There is also a pool table and shuffle board. Skiing is so close (a 7 minute drive up the mountain) for downhill, or a short drive to cross country trails nearby. There is a grocery store right in Fairmont, but for larger selection & better prices, No Frills is 15 minutes away in Invermere. Highly recommend this vacation spot!
Beautiful area
Hotel was accommodating, there was plenty of room for all of our family
Comfortable and Clean
We had very good stay although the villas are dated they were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. It was quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.
The villa was situated in a convenient location on a golf course and minutes from the hot springs, restaurants and groceries. Inside the villa was very clean and big in size with a full kitchen, laundry and lots of towels for all the guests. We got 6 in our 2 bedroom villa which included 1 queen, 2 twins and a Murphy bed in the loft area.
Good layout but in desperate need of a renovation
The location of the villas were just a few minutes drive from the hot springs. I stayed here with my 19 month old. It isn’t a very baby friendly place and thankfully I knew I would have to bring my own crib. I used a stool to block the stairs, and the knife drawer was at perfect height for her to look into. You do have to somewhat clean up after yourself when you leave, but I was happy to have laundry in my unit. The place was fine and suites us for our three night stay, but it was in a serious need for a renovation. We also used the pool at the rec Center during our stay - but if you have any problems with stairs this whole place just may not be for you.
Lovely to be able to look out over the golf course.
There wheelchair access is lacking the ramp at the road is to high and the ramp access to the pool is unsafe.
