The pillows are hard as a rock.
This is an older hotel. It’s a little rundown, the water pressure was low, barely warm. They only give you one key, which can be a hassle if you’re traveling with someone else. But the location and the breakfast until 10 AM was good and the price was right. OK for a night or two.
People were nice that work there
Old, dated, mildew smell and worn
The hotel had extremely thin walls. The room smelled of mildew. The bed was stained and hard. For a know ng size bed we were given two lumpy stained pillows only. The shower was nearly inoperable. The hot was scorching, near burning and was pretty much impossible to adjust properly. The pressure went from full blast to a trickle over and over. I could hear the elevator running all night long. I could hear the guest in the next room snoring. Our room was near an apartment roof that's was very noisy.
Excellent customer service, good breakfast and over all experience.
Excellent service from Alfonso and Victor and the staff. My experience and expectations are wonderful. Thank you.
Only 2 days thank God
The location is good but the hotel and the room are not updated so are the hotel en general i will no recommend this hotel .
Good location
Just a basic hotel (I would say 3-stars) which was ok for us since all we did there was just sleep, we were out touring all day and left the hotel early in the mornings and returned late in the evenings. Staff tried to be helpful as much as possible. On our first night the AC was not working (we checked in around 1:00am and checked out before 7:00am) and there was no other room available so we slept with the windows open. We returned a few days later and got a different room with a working AC. Location is quiet and within walking distance to many attractions (especially the tourist info center where you can sign up for a number of different walking tours). Breakfast was reasonable with a few variety of foods and juices, enough for us. Will I stay there again? Probably.
Expedia hotel is horrible. They charge you for everything you cannot bring family members to your room. You have to see in the lobby they charge for everything is terrible. I talked to a lot of American people there. They all very upset. You guys always do this to me for $1000. Next time I get an apartment so sad.
Good price.
Very nice hotel, good breakfast and nice staff and service
The staff was so incredibly amazing. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Francisco, Ociel, Erica, Joanna, Gabriel, Alfonso and the cleaning staff. I had the best time staying at the Embajadores. And the main reason for this is them. They are the kindest, most friendly and professional hotel team that I have ever had the privilege of staying with. I would highly rate this hotel, and definitely stay here again! Sure there were a few minor issues, such as the loss of hot water for a few days, however that was no big deal. I am truly grateful for such a wonderful trip and a delightful stay. I highly recommend this Hotel Sincerely, Philip(Felipe)Schnabel
Good location
Very friendly staff, the location is within walking distance to Larco Mar, the area is safe. The breakfast option is excellent.
all you need for affordable price. very friendly staff.
Great hotel
It was great , the hotel have air conditioning so the room was good , the fridge work , the hotel have a pool in the roof so you can see the city ,the staff was super nice
Xxxxxxx
This place is excellent! Clean, staff are friendly, location is perfect. Love it.
I loved this hotel. It is modern, very clean an, especially, very well located - close to the ocean, Larcomar and many other sites of interest. Highly recommended. Special kudos to Ociel.
.
Staff are anazingly helpful
Good location & Service - Dump Room!!!
The location was great!! The service people are so nice, friendly and helpful. The room was terrible! Old fridge with charcoal dirt or mold was in the room. The hotel needs big time renovation! The window curtain can't even close properly, looking through was an eye soar, it looked like corner wall dumpster...
Gym is a joke
I liked everything, from the tranquility of the place and the easy access to the shops.
It is an average place, ok for a quick overnight stay, but not very comfy for a longer duration, small rooms, not much view, location is good
Will never stay again for sake of health
Black mold nearly choked us out of the building... in fact we should have left. Spent all day out just to stay out but black mold in curtain blinds and maybe the bed too. Breakfast not open until 8 and could not even sit in room for coffee. Front desk staff were amazingly helpful.
Not worth the price at all
The room is not worth the price, the shower had no pressure and the curtains didn’t even covered all the tub. The “king” bed is reality two beds put together which you can notice when you lay in the middle because you sink. The quality is not worth the price, I will never be staying there again
Great customer service,
Front desk staff very helpful. 1st time in Peru, so when asked where to shopping, visiting, and good restaurants, they searched and tried to make a reservation.
Its nice
It was a nice hotel and was within a short walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The pool was nice, no use of the bar and restaurant as there were other options close by.
great hotel
Lovely staff very helpful bedroom comfort ok miraflores lovely but a bit far out of central lima
Clean and convinient
It was fine. The room and bathroom were clean And the tour bus picked up at the hotel. Shuttle runs $60 sols.
Average stay- location was good but didn’t feel clean. Thin walls. Cold
Close to the water and the restaurants. Breakfast was very good. The staff were attentive to your needs.
Very poor breakfast. Pillows like bricks. However it was clean and safe and quiet.
Everything was great except the Internet. It went on and off constantly.
The pool is a joke, so tiny, the administration staff unfriendly
The property was old, strong humidity smell, laud guests. When we requested to use the jacuzzi it was so old from the 80' and so hot that we couldn't use it!. The "gym" was a joke! bicycle without seat, weight without handle horrible!
Nice hotel and nice location, but the pool was closed due to maintenance.
Definitely the best place we stayed the whole trip
Very helpful and friemdly staff. We arrived after midnight using their transfer service from the hotel. I felt safe they have night gaurd and the doors are looked after 11pm. Breakfast is better then what I had expect. Good coffee, yogurt, cereal, local fruit and bread/butter and much more. Oh, earthquake proof.
Our stay in Miraflores
This property is pretty old but centrally located in Miraflores. Our stay with them was ok. However in the room there was a certain smell of humidity. The staff was friendly and ready to answer our questions. The breakfast was pretty basic. For one or two days I guess a stay there is ok. From the hotel we could walk everywhere in Miraflores and good restaurants could be easily reached.
very disappointed
Suppose to have internet, we didn't have it, furniture in a very poor condition, we will not recommend this hotel or come back ever.
Worst room
We got the worst room the hotel had to offer. No window and bad lighting.
Very kind staff, that's the best of the hotel. The room was not as comfortsble as expected. Not shinny-white towels. Few drops of shampoo! Good internet connection. I have to repeat: the staff is very kind but I was not impressed by the hotel. I would prefer not to recommend it at this time.
Small noisy room
Hard pillows, difficult to get some sleep. thin walls, could hear the guests next door. snoring... etc.
They Stole our money, not worth it!
ITS A SCAM!! THE HOTEL IS HORRIBLE, DIRTY, OLD, SMELLS LIKE WET DOG. IT DOESNT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS.WE ASK FOR A REFUND AND THEY DIDNT WANT TO DO IT. THE MANAGER EVEN THREAT US TO ERASE OUR REVIEW. THEY STOLE OUR MONEY!!! we are going to ARAWI 3 blocks away!
Happy Guy!
Excelente! Excellent!
Great place. The staff were absolutely incredible and so helpful and friendly to me
Too expensive for what it is
Not at all like the pictures. Old hotel, old tiny rooms. Staff was very friendly and Miraflores is the place to stay in Lima but for the price I was expecting more. In my opinion this was very expensive for sucha tiny old hotel room.
Noisy room because kitchen was below
I couldn't sleep well because the kitchen was in the lower floor. Noisy from 2am and forth.
very helpful staff
We were able to check in early after being up At 3.30am for early flight from La Paz. Staff had the jacuzzi ready for us in an hour. Bliss. Very clean hotel.
An outdated and unwelcoming hotel.
With so many wonderful hotels only blocks away, it makes no sense choosing this outdated relic. From its unwelcoming staff to the sorry excuse for a restaurant and bar, I am challenged to recall a single positive about this hotel. It was built using very cheap windows and I was never able to get a good nights sleep due to the street noise. Trust me, avoid this one!
Good location in Miraflores. Small room with old carpets that need replacement. We stayed there just for one night which was ok for the price we got. For longer stays, I would not recommend this place.
Nice Inexpensive Hotel in Miraflores
Great quality hotel for the price. My brother and I traveled for a week for vacation to Peru. Hotel staff helped us arrange transportation to airport and print boarding passes. Free breakfast everyday. Great location. Very clean.
Good location
Located in Miraflores, at walking distance to the Larcomar Mall and lots of restaurants. Beautiful and safe area. The rooms however, looked old in need of an update, beds were comfortable, though . Some of the bathrooms fixtures were rusty and dated. Staff was very helpful .Good breakfast,as well.
Middle of the road
Clean and tidy. Doors and walls are thin and you hear most things. Pool is small and clean - on the roof, not in view of the restaurant as per the description.
Nice staff, very well located
Very nice staff, the room had cloth on one drawer that someone left behind Very well located in Miraflores, four blocks away from Larcomar.
This hotel is a fraud!!!
The main reason that we stayed at this hotel was that it advertised that it had a pool. What a lie!!! What it had was a hole not much bigger than a bathtub. It couldn't even fit two people comfortably, much less be able to actually swim in it. And - when we got there, it didn't even have water in it. They had to fill it up with water; and even after that - it was nasty and dirty. If you look at the pictures on your website, it looks like it's a huge, beautiful pool --- very deceptive! And - it was all the way up on the 7th floor, but guess what --- the elevator was not working!! So, you had to climb the stairs all the way up - to get to a tiny little, dirty bathtub that could not really be described as a pool. So disappointed. I am also very, very upset with Expedia's policy of "non-refundable" because of that we were stuck in this terrible hotel for a whole week. Believe me, once we saw what was really going on (no pool, no elevator, etc.) - we would have left and went to another hotel, but we couldn't because we could not get a refund from Expedia. That policy needs to be changed - because if you go to a place like this and find out that all the pictures about it were lies, and find out all the stuff wrong - you should be able to switch hotels. Having to stay here ruined our whole vacation. Electricity went off nearly every day - leaving us with no TV, air conditioner, etc. Every day they kept telling us the elevator was getting fixed, but it never did.
Lima hotels
Very disappointed into room and location
Was good to stay -
For the money it is a good what you got, I can recommend staying there
Convenient hotel at a good price!
Very good hotel for a good price; conveniently located within easy walking distance to main Miraflores attractions. Strong signal for free WiFi; routers on each floor. Staff very cordial and helpful.
Good location, hotel needs updating
The location is great. The front end persons were nice, except a young lady without uniform. Did not get the name, It seemed that she was in charge. Not very professional. The room smelled musty, I got bitten by fleas, the outlets and TV stopped working the day before I left. Somebody come out to see but was not addressed properly. Every day that I went to breakfast, about 8 am, the buffet needed replenishing. Tables were full of dirty dishes. It seems somebody should check on the status of the dining room more often. I guess you get what you pay for.
Cheap is expensive
There is a construction next to the hotel. We couldn't sleep. Horrible experience. Wifi doesn't work. Poor breakfast.
Staff go Above and Beyond
Although aesthetically the hotel is slightly dated; the rooms are very clean, the location is 3 blocks off the Miraflores Beach cliffs and the service is 100% amazing. Not only did the desk staff change the country flags at the sign in desk to include a Canadian Flag (our nationality) but also, upon hearing it was my birthday they prepared an amazing birthday sunday and brought it up to the room once we returned from dinner and salsa dancing (after midnight) and were more than accommodating with late night room service requests for food. The food is excellent and the staff go above and beyond any and all possible expectations and have a very friendly disposition. For the relatively nominal price you feel like you are receiving 5 star treatment. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nice hotel but not worth the price
Nice hotel. Easy walk to Larco Mar. Too far to walk to El Ovalo de Miraflores. The room was comfortable and clean but this place is NOT worth $80USD! Both the pool and jacuzzi were drained and inoperable. They arbtrarily added 50% to the room service prices listed in the room. And BEWARE the snack items are listed in USD vs SOLES. I don't appreciate these constant nickel and dime scams. Recommend looking elsewhere for this price.
Close to the sea and lively neighborhood
Comfort room and nice and tasty breakfast. Hairdryer and complimentary shampoo in the bathroom. A generally nice and helpful staff; however it is not very encouraging and welcoming when immediately upon your arrival you are forced to sign a notice that you will not take guests to your room (would you? Seriously?) and smoke in the room (come on, you are not a teenager hiding with a cigarette at a bathroom...). Location is perfect, close to the sea (not really a beach - rather a sea view) and a lively Miraflores neighborhood. They do not exchange foreign currency at the reception.
Money for value
Hotel is a little worn now but the staff were very helpfull and the location was great. Great money for value I though!
Great location but the hotel needs updating
Blocks from the beach and shopping centers. The hotel looks nice from the outside and lobby area. The rooms need updating. The Wi-Fi they advertise did not work on any floor, the "gym" on the rooftop is only one old machine that doesn't work, the only 110v outlet in the room didn't work. The hotel staff was friendly. Just a little overpriced for the condition it is in.
One can't sleep above the kitchen.....
The Expedia room I got was above the kitchen and breakfast area. It was not possible to sleep once the breakfast was being served. I even tried ear plugs...just too much clinking and chairs moving and noise. I planned to stay another night...but couldn't get a different room unless I booked directly with the hotel. So basically, the problem rooms went to Expedia. That is the first time I've had that happen to me. The bathroom was way out of date. Some of the furniture was pressboard. Generally, the hotel needs renovating. I've stayed in a lot of "dated" hotels but this building was nice enough that it would pay to renovate the rooms.
Stay somewhere else!!!
Ok customer service. Location is good but many closer options to central plaza. No water in hot tub, pool ice cold. Had dinner in hotel restaurant, only us 3-took 1.5 hours. I returned to our room to change & use restroom, only to return moments later, to find someone had come in the open 4th floor bathroom window(service shoot)smashed the bathroom window, broke toiletries and then rearranged our toiletries. We had left our passports in the room(only time). I must have scared them when I returned, as nothing was stolen-THANK GOD. Manager was called, as were police. No investigation and we had to pay for the damage. This hotel is a nightmare, smallest room of the entire trip & most expensive. Never would recommend or return. STAY AWAY!
Preparation Machu Picchu
Great location in Lima. Close to beach, archeological sites, movies, shopping and restaurants. Staff friendly but English limited. Breakfast ok. Safes in room too small, hollow core doors and simple locks left insecure feeling but no actual problems. Showers worked (a big deal in parts of Peru). Room rates around $85 inc. breakfast were fair. Able to get good sleep here. Not true for all hotels we stayed st.
Overall good stay close to miraflores
Hotel was quite good. Stayed here 1 separate times. The first time was near the lift which is extremely noisy. Other than that is a great location to miraflores and the staff are helpful too.
basic hotel..
unexpensive for its location with basic accomodation..
Nice hotel and staff
I was there for 10 days and I was very nice with the hotel and hotel staff.
Not bad
Nice pool, staff
Great location
Friendly staff, great location. Bathroom tub needed care I noticed black spots on the tub's tile. Besides than that this is a good hotel. Morning breakfast was very good. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping areas. No parking for overnight, if you rent a car while in Lima they do not provide the option for parking. Computers available in the lobby.
Satisfactory, but need a little love.
It's an older hôtel that must think of refreshing it's rooms. Also the pool and spa were not functionning. I think the hotel is for sale, a new owner might do wonders because the hotel got potential. Breakfast was good.
Terrible. Pictures are definetely made with photos
Terrible. Pictures are definetely made with photoshop.
Great staff
The staff was very helpful, hotel location not bad nice hotel only problem was soundproofing
small hotel conveniently located
Conveniently located, close to several attractions in Miraflores. The Hotel is OK (little old and outdated though) but rates are reasonable and offers the conveniencie of having breakfast included in the rates.
Soda was expired
Location, Location
Great hotel for the price and location. The hotel staff was very helpful and spoke more English than our Spanish.
good
used this as a stop over food was good. room was great bed was huge and tv. pool was tiny but great views was a bit misleading in picture! no sunbeds but i used my towel. all in all good hotel would stay here. breaky wasnt bad either.
good location, functional and clean, but average hotel infrastructure
tmstay
Rooms were clean but small and basic. Freindly staff. Convenient but not central location. Stingy with towels.
Best service I have ever received.
Very clean and well kept. The staff were all bi-lingual and about as helpful as they could be. Never once did one put their hand out for a tip. We had a medical emergency with our baby and they catered to our every need. I have never experienced room service that fast and inexpensive. I will absolutely stay there again on my next trip to Lima.
Lima
Old Hotel. Too much noise. Breakfast was very simple.
In safe and pleasant location close to Ocean
Hotel reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Had to catch taxi at 7a.m. so entered dining room at 06.28, 2 minutes before official opening time and person in charge was quite unpleasant about our slightly early arrival and continued to be short with us, although we apologised. The hotel indicated that a taxi to Lima Airport (Jorge Chavez) would be 24 Soles, but the taxi driver charged US$24, so make sure to clarify this before boarding taxi.
Nasty carpet and so-so cleanliness; cold pool
The hotel lobby is by far the nicest thing about it. My room wasn't super clean and the carpeting was borderline nasty. The so-called pool is unusable because it's not heated at all, so at least during the cool season forget about it. The neighborhood on the other hand is great -- lots of nice restaurants, including Alfresco with great seafood (recommended by a receptionist!).
Great place!!!!
This hotel is in a great location, has a pool, bar, and restaraunt, and the staff are wonderful from the minute you get out of the cab. The rooms were also terrific, the best we had and we stayed at about 3 different hostels all around Peru. The beds were huge, there was a mini fridge, air conditioning! (a huge plus...it's so humin in Lima!), and great showers. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and will most definately stay here upon returning to fabulous Miraflores.
Good neighborhood
