Seeking for a good place to stay in Nha Trang, Vietnam with family we booked this hotel for 3 nights through hotel.com. I didn’t know this was the worst decision I had made. The morning after reservation, my husband woke up to find out more than a bunch of missed calls from a Vietnamese number that was placed overnight. He didn’t have the phone volume on but it was on vibrate so he was aware of either text/calls coming. The number persistently called in the morning as well and my husband picked up. Turned out the phone calls were from hotel owner asking us to take one of 2 options: cancel our rooms as they got their guests booking our rooms but they didn’t update on the the system or switch our rooms to lesser quality ones. The owners told us the other guests had put down 50% deposit, which is weird as i didn’t know it was an option. I let them know I did pay full price and didn’t wanna cancel. The owner told us that he could try after I insisted not cancelling. Later that night, my husband received many emails requesting everyone in our party to cancel our booking. After a few hours, I found out I left 2 electric toothbrushes and a tube of facial cleanser in the room. I called hotel, owner said he needed to check in with the his staffs. He called me back after a few minutes and said the house keepers threw all and every items found left over in my room to the trash which possibly included the tôthbrushes s and trash had already been picked up for the day. terrible !!!
