We had a wonderful stay for 3 days with my family (12/27-12/29) at comfort suites the staff were incredibly friendly and specially Angel Forsyth she working days shift and she deserve to be more than operation manager because she is professional and helpful. accommodating, the rooms were clean, spacious room and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. and every grocery was close. We especially loved the breakfast buffet and our kids had a fun at pool. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting . only complaint is the deposit policy upfront $200 because I didn’t expect that much.

Property in decent condition. Some sloppy painting and a limited dining selection, but other than that overall very pleasant.

Same parking lot for mexican food, quick shopping needs, and OtherWorld!

It was fine the room was clean. The hotel itself seemed a little more run down than the images portray online. The area also was not as nice as expected from the images but everything ended up being fine.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was helpful. However it wasn’t very busy and I felt like they put all the guest in one hallway. The other guest that were there, I think were living there for an extended period of time. Kids running, yelling, and a couple fighting at midnight.

Good place to stay, price was reasonable. The free breakfast had some hot items and suited my needs. Quiet area and a spacious room. I would def stay here again.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Pull out couch was partially broken. Air conditioning didnt work and room was very warm. Bathroom door didn't shut all the way.

The hotel was nice, I stayed one night. My room was just as nice as the rest of the hotel.

Honest review… I booked a room with a sofa sleeper & one bed for myself & 2 young kids (under 10). When I went to make up the sleeper for my daughter that night we found no extra sheets or blankets available (prior hotel experiences typically kept in room closet area or immediately delivered to us if not) No biggie, I dialed the front desk to inquire & was told they kept extra in the lobby & was asked if I could send one of my kids to come get them. Um no…Not sending my little kids alone so I just said I’d come grab them when I could (still soaking wet in bathing suit & trying to settle my kids in) He did end up bringing them to us (maybe I took too long) but I didn’t appreciate the situation one bit. In the workers defense, he appeared to be the ONLY staff member on duty (on a Saturday) manning the phones, check in, pool area & accommodating guests so no blame to him but this could be a simple fix if they kept these in those rooms &/or hotel had appropriate staffing. It was also frustrating that the bathroom door automatically springs shut & not equipped with a ventilation fan (trust me, no switch inside or outside) So it was either hot, cold, stuffy or stinky. Lol. We tried using a shoe to prop open but door was heavy & kept sliding out. Breakfast options were decent & well kept. Pool temp good. Sofa sleeper springs popped out pretty bad so daughter wasn’t thrilled but bed was clean & comfortable.

My security deposit was taken and charged to my account. Then it was never refunded. Very unfortunate because the staff we dealt with were actually really nice.

This is a nice hotel. Clean with welcoming staff. I was surprised and a bit angry to find out I had to pay a $200 deposit for my room(s) because I booked with Expedia. Also, it would be nice to have smart tv's so we could have watched Netflix or Hulu.

Comfortable, quiet, and clean. Typical hotel breakfast, including waffle maker and scrambled eggs. The pool was open, clean, and not too cold. My kids enjoyed the stay, and we all slept well.

Staff was polite, hotel is pretty run down. We used a pullout mattress and it was really beat up and worn.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone after paying almost $300 for two rooms for one night then was charged $600 for a deposit for the rooms! I cancelled my reservations and left the hotel. I normally go to Comfort Suites Grove City because they’re the best and there is never any issues when booking that hotel! I don't need to revise this review because it is honest and I meant every word.

Nice staff, wasn't a fan of the neighborhood it was in.

It was okay, check in time I felt like the front desk was rushing to get us in and I couldn’t understand him sometimes, once we got into our room there was a really weird smell inside, was going to take a shower but there was a weird brown stain in the the tub. Lastly for breakfast food was good but the apple juice and orange juice tasted like it went bad, even the water that they had out for everyone tasted kind of funny. But over all for a one night stay it was okay.

It was good, but it is described as having a separate bedroom so that was very inconvenient.

Only stayed a night. Got in late. Hotel is decent. Room was ok. No bathroom vent, window looked out to a wood fence and a motel. Room was clean and was great it slept 5 just fine. Area was a bit sketch, kinda tucked a way and definitely has some people nodded out at the strip mall next door. Would stay there again. Would hope prices would be better when it wasn’t the start of the school year.

Pull out bed had no bedding on it or in the room. Had to request it from the front desk, which I have never done before. Room was nice otherwise. It appears to be recently renovated, along with the hallway on that floor.

The property has been remodeled the past few months and is beautiful. The staff actually made me feel uncomfortable. I have a service dog. Registered. He is my assist dog. I do not need a handicap unit so I can see where a person who is ignorant of different medical needs for a service animal. 3 different times I was asked by staff for proof of his service status. When i checked in. Ok no problem. The next day as I returned from taking my dog for a relief walk I was stopped at the front door still entering when the man behind the counter asked what room? What room? Ummm. Not good morning. Not hello. Nada. He yelled at me to stop because I called my room number out and kept walking. He made me stop. He asked for proof of the service credentials. I had to take my dog upstairs then come down to the front desk to show him. Much later another male employee saw me come through the lobby and asked from across the lobby, is that your dog? Yes. Do you have proof of his service? Yeh 3 times. I started taking him outside around a back entrance to stay as far away from the front desk staff as possible. Never felt uncomfortable in a Choice Hotel before. I wont go back to that one ever.

Upset

No housekeeping. Pool shut down early and the birthday girl cried for a hour. Elevators didn’t work entire time she wasn’t told about extra deposit until we got there.

Waited 15 minutes to check in. Elevator was broken and pool was closed. Ice machine was broken. Tables and food area during breakfast was not cleaned.

Good location for OtherWorld and staff was quick to help. Breakfast ran out of food, remote had no batteries when we arrived and there was no bed stuff for the pull-out which had a thin, old mattress that you could feel every spring in. The room was clean, but the staircase to the room was covered in crumbs and the elevator was broken.

We enjoyed the hotel stay. Luckily, we were on the 1st floor because the elavator was open. Rooms were a bit outdsted, but spacious and clean. It was quiet, which was nice. The pool.wqs fun for the kids. The breakfast was okay; the kids enjoyed it a lot. It was an average free continental breakfast. The location, on the other hand, was not pleasant.

What I didn’t like about the property is it was not very clean we couldn’t utilize the couch because it was crumbs and glass and a pair of glasses inside of it. We weren’t able to get extra towels we needed. We were told that they didn’t have any. We were only supplied one roll of toilet paper for the entire weekend. The window in our bedroom was also cracked as if someone threw something at it. The elevator was also down the entire weekend. We arrived on Friday and he said that the elevator had just went out two hours ago and that they have someone coming in no one ever showed. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this if you were looking for comfort and traveling with a family.

Awesome experience… the manager that checked me in Ms. Angel and the 3rd shift gentleman Aray were not only friendly and energetic but very helpful.. both very pleasant people.. I had a very large party with me and everything was smooth..if I’m ever in Columbus again I will make sure that this is where I’ll be staying… only bad thing is that the elevator went down the day I checked in.. that sucked

Pubic hair in bathroom and wasn’t told about deposits that wasn’t allowed to pay cash then will take a week to get back use all the cash we had for the deposit to put on the card, so had to have family assist to get home unreal

Nice hotel, but the elevator was not working and my husband is disabled. He had to use stairs which were very difficult, pretty much stayed in the room. Very clean.

Great Hotel

Our stay was excellent. The room was big and very accommodating to our family. The breakfast was great and offered a large variety of food.

Got get better!

Got stuck on the elevator...elevetor went out and had to walk up and down 3 flights pf steps...room card continued to not work...power went out...asked for ironing board 3 times before receiving.

My room was not cleaned for over 4 days and I had to request it to be. The breakfast provide is the worst I’ve ever experienced and it was often cold or items not available

Old building, breakfast needed more options.

The night staff were rude. We were there a week and they never cleaned our room. I never got any of items asked for as well.

Elizabeth was the front desk worked when we checked in. She was AMAZING! I was worried about the hefty incidental charge, so she asked me a couple of questioned and waived the fee for my son and I. I was very grateful and impressed with her hospitality.

All remodeled inside. Great stay. Will stay again.

It was clean and eveyone was nice

We had a very pleasant stay. Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The only thing I would say is they may need to do small updates/renovations (very small things I noticed in my opinion). Other than that I would stay here again!

Comfort Suites was a very clean and friendly environment. Front desk staff was awesome, very polite, and helpful. Hot breakfast. Definitely will stay here again!

Pool needed a good scrub and the water was cooler than I prefer but otherwise wonderful stay.

The receptionists were both so nice! Beds were more comfortable than we expected and it was quiet and clean. Great budget stay without compromising safety and cleanliness. Elizabeth was particularly helpful and friendly! Thank you for a great stay!

Great Hotel

Stayed for one night for a concert in the city. It was a nice hotel. Very clean. Front desk people were very nice.

Everything was excellent

Took $200 from me in a suspicion that I smoked in the room. Building under construction. No pool or spa or gym as advertised.

They were going through renovations so I can't hold that against them. Staff was very friendly, breakfast wasn't good. The pool was cold.A lot of road construction too.

The property is under maintenance so everything is either torn apart or broke.

Pull out bed rusty stained and no pillows or sheets in the room. Shampoo dispenser empty. Breakfast bar time was very short and limited supplies. Pool was unavailable most of the day. Not available next day until after 12 noon after check out..

Property is under construction currently. The price reflected the location and property. However, the room was clean and the staff extremely pleasant

Renovation

The hotel was being renovated while we were there. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff was pretty helpful.

Short staffed. One employee present- gave us wrong room number, didn't set cards to unlock door, and no additional bedding provided for our 5th person in the group. Just small inconveniences that added up. The hotel charges a $200 deposit for a $100 room.... 3 to 5 days for the hold to be released is ridiculous.

I really enjoyed my stay! It was affordable and really nice. It was clean and quiet and I would stay again.

Love room and breakfast 😋

Hotel was ok. Staff were pleasant. Beds weren't too bad. Had issues taking showers, either had way too hot water or no hot water. Pull out sofa was horrible, the mattress was horrible. Slept on the couch itself instead and wasn't able to even get a pillow for it. Breakfast was mediocre. There was mix up with my room which they did their best to accommodate us even though it still wasn't the room I reserved.

The 3rd floor was just renovated. Walls and wall treatments. The room was pretty spacious and in good shape. The pool is a little dated. Can tell it was an outdoor pool origionally before a building was put around it. Heated and a good temperature though.

Decent hotel. Nice staff. However lots of homeless people walking around nearby.

The property is under renovation. We stayed in a beautifully remodeled room. When everything is finished it will be beautiful. The location is convenient, right off the highway, with shops and restaurants nearby.

I got some bug bites that caused swelling on my arm.

This property was really nice! Staff was nice and friendly and our room was clean.. close to shopping and convenients. I highly recommended this location..

Overall the stay was adequate! We some issues with getting enough towels with 5 people staying. The people are friendly and the room was clean.

Safe and quiet place

Booked 1 room for 2 nights. Stayed the first night, left the hotel around 11a.m. Came back around 11 p.m. tried to get into our room cards didn’t work, and someone was in the room. They had bagged all of our belongings up after we left and gave our room away.

The customer service was outstanding. The amenities were very nice, the room was clean and inviting.

Nowhere did it disclose a 200.00 deposit. We had no sheets or blanket for sofa bed.

Pros: comfy king bed and clean sheets spacious Nice tv with good channels Cons: Bathroom smelled like sewage coming from the vent. Also the bathtub wouldn't drained so when i showered I was standing in old water . When first checking in they charged a $300 deposit which wasn’t mentioned on the website. Was told that it will be refunded in 2-3 days. To be determined on how long it will take to get it back. Located in a sketchy secluded area Overall experience I would say is a 2/10

Good hotel for what we needed

Just needed a place to stay the night; Didn’t spend too much time at the hotel besides for sleeping. It was a good hotel for what we were looking for and the bests were very comfortable as well.

The only thing I could say is that it is due for an update as it looks tired. But the service was great. They did post renovations starting soon

Fine for a night

I usually love the Comfort Inn chain, but this is a very old property and it shows. I slept well for a one night stay. Staff was great. Breakfast was average for a hotel. But I wouldn’t stay here for a longer period.

Close to the freeway

Breakfast was terrible Bed had soiled sheets I ordered a king bed got 2 doubles Called the hotel to tell them ee would be coming after midnight also text them letting them know the room was prepaid I was told that after 3 am they would not hold the room dont understand that

The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was not great but fine if you don't want to eat out. Staff was very friendly, for the most part. I was taken aback by the fact in the 6 days we were there we never received room service. Had to ask repeatedly for towels, etc. Took out our own trash to a grossly overflowing dumpster. Asked repeatedly and never got replacement garbage bags. Was told we could not get sheets to change our own bedding. Not a bad place to stay if you are looking for inexpensive, but don't expect any service.

Pool could be cleaner.

It was ok the bed was terrible and there where cobwebs on the ceiling but the pool was nice and the breakfast was ok
