Wonderful and beautiful place to be
Perfect
Every is perfect
The property is quiet with good access to other places and the beach. The property had no microwave or slippers to use in the rooms. The staff seemed overworked but we're very good. I still liked the place but may not stay many nights there again
Amazing Place
I enjoyed the hotel ambience and tremendous and friendly customer service across all support functions. The food was great also!
Worst hotel I’ve ever visited.
Awful. I left within 15 minutes of check in. Broken and dirty rooms. Aircon did not work. Toilet seat falling off. Sand in the bed. Everything was filthy. The fridge was full of rotten water. Swimming pool barely had water in it. Told them of my concerns, nothing could be done so had to leave and find accommodation elsewhere. All in all terrible and I want a full refund.
I liked rhe friendly staff and beach location. It had a great beach and next to a public access point which was actually nice to see a few locals enjoying.
beach view from my room
Charming hotel and beautiful beaches
We enjoyed this great, charming hotel with it's warm, welcoming people for 8 days. Excellent service, good breakfast, good seafood/fish dishes, nice hotel area and beautiful beaches.
Sadly not worth it…
We visited the property before booking and were shown around, after which we decided on and booked a deluxe room with pool view. However, when we showed up for check in, we were taken to a another (lower category) room - without any information from the staff. We asked the staff member if this really was a deluxe room, which he insisted on it being. Turns out he lied. After we contacted the reception, we were informed that the room category we had booked was fully booked. We insisted on being compensated, so they offered a room at another hotel, a couple of km up along the beach, which we declined. Instead we suggested we’d at least be compensated with complimentary massages, which they eventually agreed to. The pool area is nice and the staff there were really attentive. The masseuses are also great! However, the sound proofing in the premier rooms (which is the one we ended up getting) is non existent. If you’re on the lower floor, you’ll be able to hear every sigh, every bathroom visit…you name it…from the guests upstairs. Unfortunately, our neighbor got home late and stayed up for the rest of the night, so we weren’t able to get any sleep. The facilities are dated but the hotel is beautifully situated. The breakfast was so-so. All in all, there are way better options for accommodation in Kilifi. (Distant Relatives and Salty’s being two of them.)
This hotel has amazing potential and was probably once quite grand. The facilites are tired and in need of maintenance and updates. We were there out of season so it was very quiet and the staff seemed a little challenged in knowing what to do. The beach is great and the grounds are super. I would stay here again but I’d check my room and test the shower before settling on my room.
