Clean, war, great bath. Beds were comfortable and it was a quiet area. Early check in too.

Really enjoyed our stay here, very friendly owners and the room was lovely and tidy.

We received a lovely friendly greeting on arrival and a free upgrade. To top it off our room was extremely clean and had everything we required, we would definitely stay there If we were to visit Hamilton again.

Staff were very friendly. Motel is fairly close to the CBD. A good stay.

Very friendly host/s. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Our tv didn’t work though, and it was noisy.

Nice property but we were kept up all night with a loud and aggressive party next door. This rudeness spoiled an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Nothing partular about the property it was clean and tidy

Quick check in, asked for extra car park and this was not a problem.

I forgot to ask but there was no information on how to check out early or a place to drop the key.

Carpet was stained and because of that, appeared unclean. Also thecarpet was frayed aned torn at the entrance to the bathroom - causing a safety trip hazard. The SKY decoder box was sitting on a 40º angle on the top of the TV - not secured. Unit 15.

Ocean views. Lovely big self contained room with everything you need. Comfy bed and lovely balcony with bonus of small spa bath in bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

I could hear the TV in the room next door on my bed, this is made worse by it going till 2am each night. Their TV must back onto my bed headboard side. Conversations are muffled so soundproofing is somewhat non existing. Everything else was great but the sound issue was too hard to ignore in a motel/hotel

Lovely clean hotel with great kitchen and bathroom amenities. Warm greeting from the manager who left two lollipops for the kuds which was a nice touch. Quiet rooms and handy location. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back😁

Home away from home.

My husband and i stayed here as we were in town for a Rugby game. The accommodation was only a 13 minute walk which was perfect. The room was very tidy and clean and had all the comforts of home. Really enjoyed the in-room spa which gave us a relaxing way to end the night. Would definitely stay here again.

Ballinor Motel, Hamilton.

Booked into a superior twin room unit. Twin room in hotel/motel usually means separate bedroom. Chinese manager at Ballinor was adamant that the bathroom was counted as the second room. The result was we were cramped into a single room unit.

Do not rent room number 1

Arrived to find we were in room number 1. Check in was painless. Front door doesn't shut properly, hopped out of the shower to find the front door wide open after thinking it was shut and locked! Had to try multiple times to get it to stay shut. Air con doesn't work properly and remote kept turning off everytime you pushed a button, maybe just flat batteries but took multiple attempts to set correctly. Bathroom very small and cramped. TV in room very small compared to other hotels. But the worst part is the managers /owners housing is built right above room 1 and they have young children that were jumping, crashing and banging right above our heads for half the night running around the house. No thought to the paying guests staying below. Would not recommend staying in room number 1 to anyone!.

Very covienient, relaxing, everything I needed

The staff where great and the room clean but the owners need to invest in some sound insulation as we could here everything from the rooms next to us and traffic on the street.

Perfect place to rest and recover, before heading

I'd read earlier reviews, and I was not disappointed. Staff were excellent, taking time to show us to our room, and explain the TV, Air Con, spa bath etc to us. Haven't struck that level of service and consideration for a long time, it was very refreshing to be made to feel special, and that our patronage was valued

Disappointing 2nd stay

This was my second stay, after a period of 3 years, and I was very disappointed in the standard of the accommodation compared with last time. I booked a studio room, that was in the middle of a block of units. The décor was dated and a little shabby; the sheets lacking a freshness and crispness. There was a small coffee plunger in the kitchenette, but no ground coffee available-very disappointing for a keen coffee drinker. Worst, were the paper-thin walls, which meant that I could hear snoring through the adjoining wall. A somewhat depressing and uncomfortable stay.

Good value

Room appointments were to the standard one would expect of a 4 star facility. Spa bath was a bonus. The main room was rather small and with suitcases around it felt somewhat claustrophobic.

Compact and comfortable. I had a late check-in and early departure, but the manager was very accommodating and the room was just what I needed for a good, comfortable sleep, and refreshing shower between busy days.

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice Motel

I have only three things I didn't like at this motel. One was it look like glue stuck on a towel and also the coffee was not drinkable. Also you drive into the motel but you have to back out on to a main road as there is not turn around area. Apart form this nice motel.

Cockroaches and left over food

When we arrived we found a container fill of 6 day old coleslaw in the fridge. we thought nothing of it and put it in the bin as we know sometimes things get missed. but later that evening we saw several cockroaches running across the kitchen bench and 1 climbing the wall beside our 18 month olds portacot. we packed our things and left. Instead of checking into another motel and having to re set up a portacot and try to get our son back down to sleep we just drove back to rotorua soured by the experience. not a very nice thing when it was your first holiday in half a year. I will commend the manager for a quick refund after we told her and showed her one that was still on the wall next to the portacot. we also had taken photo's as well. still just a refund doesnt really compensate for such a bad and inconvenient experience. Not impressed and gutted that our holiday was wrecked
