I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ameritana Hotel and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and valued.
Service was great, front desk was very helpful gave us a map of the subway route and directions of where to get the subway. All the staff was super helpful. Would definitely go back.
Great hotel. Very small bedroom. But immaculate renovated bathroom. I’m extremely picky. But will book again. Parking extremely convenient. Staff helpful.
Nice smaller hotel in theater district. Comfy beds. Would stay here again.
staff was very kind and excellent. very clean place and very walkable distances
Location
Loved the location easy to walk around , nice staff , clean rooms
.
Staff all so friendly, clean facility, coffee in the morning - close to everything. Great stay.
Great location. Close to many tourist locations and transportation. Nice hotel too.
Stay here for sure
What a great location! Room was good size for typical NY room IUKYK. Close to all theaters, time square and Starbucks! Quiet and clean. Beds were a bit too soft fyi.
Highly recommend
Outstanding staff and accomodations. Great price and location. Will definitely stay there again when we visit NYC
Awesome staff. All amazing by them. I will definitely stay again.
Bed was so comfy. Appreciated the complimentary wine. All staff were nice and helpful. Great location.
Safe. Shopping, dining options, transportation nearby. Walkable, convenient.
Great staff and very helpful however the property needs an upgrade and better facilities
The doorman was the BEST! There was no late checkout option, which was inconvenient.
Great value for money hotel
The hotel was nothing special .. but neat, clean and the most amazing part was the staff … they were incredible … I would stay there again
Good hotel to walk around the city. Everything is close
Staff was polite. The front desk woman from Ukraine was extremely pleasant and friendly. Our room was clean and we had good maid service. Would stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at property for 3 nights. Overall, the hotel was good but its dated. A few things I noticed, there was no fan in the washroom, its quite noisy in the room; the windows are not well sealed. Decor in the hotel needs a facelift.
Loved it
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beds super comfy!
Our room was clean, bed very comfortable but shower curtain too short. Due to this our bathroom floor was soaked each time we used the shower. We left tip to the house keeping as we came back to the room always clean with bed made and tidy. Our only issue was on arrival we were given a price for day of departure by Jalal. On day of departure he decided to increase this price despite marking what we would pay. This then confused the guys later in day and we were nearly sent to wrong airport. The price he changed us to was for different airport not JFK. We luckily were changed promptly to another transport.
Convenient
From the door to the desk, the staff were wonderful & helpful. The location is brilliant for enjoying many NYC pleasures, from Central Park to Broadway theatres. Excellent dining options abound in the area. Very reasonable rates for the city.
My son ran in the NYC Marathon 2024, we shared a room! It was perfect from the moment we checked in until we checked out! Will definitely stay again.
Great staff, great all around experience!!
Great value for the location. Small rooms but efficient.
The staff was very friendly and went out of their was for my family.
The door didn’t close all the way and the thermostat didn’t work so heat blew all nite and couldn’t sleep
In the thick of Times Square. Lots to see and do (and eat!)
As per my expectations
Very convenient location, 10 min walk to rockefeller, radio city, 5 min to times Square, lots of options for eating. Close to metro.
Beautiful property and very friendly staff. Love the modern city chic vibe and will definitely return!
The location was perfect, in walking distances of many popular touristy spots….especially the theatre district! I appreciated the water and fruit/apples in the lobby! Also, the staff was the most friendliest and helpful that I have encountered in quite awhile.
Great location and good value for $.
Great location and easy access to subways, room was clean and all the things you need, no complaints at all
Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Great location near theaters and Rockefeller Center.
Great location to see holiday cheer
Great room super friendly staff. Windows open for fresh air. Only issue was loud drilling from construction across the street
Friendly staff, close to Broadway shows, restaurants, Central Park and Radio city.
Okay for the money
I would have liked to have a tub. Very small room. Most of the staff were friendly. Siad was excellent! The mattress sloped on the side, but was comfortable in the middle. The room was clean.
Great value and location for the money
The hotel was reasonably priced and a great location in Midtown/times square. The rooms were really big and the amenities (including free bottled water) were top notch. The staff was very helpful, the lobby inviting and a nice place to hang out. The hotel really needs some love, several spots of worn carpet or just missing on the edges. Safe in the room didn't work, decor was broken, lots of little things in the common areas that were in need of love or repair. That said, for the money and location it was clean and nice and I would absolutely stay again.
It is loud but a good place overall
Great location .... staff was great.
Great location. Close to Times Square but distant enough to avoid the crowds, noise and lights. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Theatres, parks and iconic NY areas. Travelled during December so it was the height of Christmas season.
Great customer service. Conveniently located!
Convenient location, great staff and room was clean!
Amazing hotel with great service!
Great hotel! My husband and I traveled to New York for the first time for our five-year anniversary. The hotel had great staff. The room was amazing and the views from our room were breathtaking. The staff at the check-in counter were friendly and helpful as we requested a higher floor room since it was our first time. Jeff was amazing with our luggage and also helping us schedule our ride back to the airport when we checked out. Hotel was super clean and housekeeping was great with giving us service every day and making sure we had plenty of towels and a clean room to come to every night with water. I would definitely recommend this place as it was so convenient to all the places we wanted to go to when it came to see New York. The area was safe and I felt very comfortable at the hotel.
This is a great location and very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay around Christmas time. Star is very friendly and helpful. Good walking distance to lots of attractions and only 1 block from the subway station. Would stay here again.
The location was perfect! A nice walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Hall and Bryant Park!
3 star hotel at 4+ star prices
Professional reception staff, bar staff a bit disengaged. Hotel very expensive for what it was, probably double London prices.
Non
Great location The windows are paper thin and we could hear every single noise from the street below, even though we were high up, so it was very noisy! I asked to be moved and we moved to a much smaller room with a view of the internal courtyard which was quieter.
Had a great stay at the Ameritania! Staff there was really friendly and took care of my wife and I
Nice location near broadway
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. However, the room was quite small and there were some maintenance issues that could use addressing. The doorman were excellent and they were always super friendly. The gym smelled a bit musty so we chose not to work out in it. There isn’t much room for suitcases and our room only had one nightstand.
This hotel is in a great location! It is budget friendly compared to other hotels and the amenities match that . The staff are amazing and so friendly ! I’d totally stay here again but keeping in mind the price matches things such as bed comfort.
This was a quick trip into the city for the Thanksgiving day parade.. it was the perfect place to stay
I had a great stay, with my sister and mom to celebrate her 70th birthday. The hotel service was wonderful. Everyone from Jeff the doorman to the front desk staff. Jeff stored our luggage safely until our check in time and helped us secure a ride to the airport at our check out. The hotel is in a great location. Steps to Times Square, subways, and Central Park. Our room was clean and quiet. It seemed a bit weathered but it was comfortable. The free glass of (really good) wine at happy hour was much appreciated! I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming for a NYC adventure.
Close to Times Square and Theater District
Very clear room and good location!
Great location
Jeffery was outstanding. He handled our bags on the day we arrived and the day we left. He was also very helpful with getting us a taxi. The best part was he made us feel like he really cared about our vacation and making sure we had a good time. Thank you Jeffery for the amazing experience.
Very convenient for walking to get food and sightsee. Staff was great. Especially Jeff!
It was a good hotel no problems very good spot for where we was and close to everything
Hotel well kept, rooms aren't big..it is NY but comfortable, bathroom great size..clean clean clean, firendly staff. Location location! It is not so close to main attractions that you can't sleep but close enough to be able to walk to Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center..etc. will definitely stay again.
I’ve been to this hotel 3 times. Rooms r fine and lobby clean and fine 2. Biggest issue the key cards r absolutely terrible in how they suppose to work!!!! My next trip Dec 19 to 21 will b my last stay hear for key cards aggravation
Great, friendly staff.
This howl was in a central location, convenient to everything.
Staff was great. Room was big compared to others in the area (King Delux). Great location. Will definitely visit again.
The hotel is well located and comfortable. The winning factor in our stay was the staff, consistently warm, friendly and helpful. We had a number of issues with the room including the heat not working. The maintenance engineer was there within 10 minutes, were apologetic and fixed everything exactly as promised before we returned to the room after dinner. Excellent!
Upon arrival, my wife and I approached the reception desk and were greeted by a young lady. I asked for a nice room as we were celebrating my wife's retirement. We arrived to our room on the 4th floor, the key did not work. I returned to reception and the same young lady said to put the key in backwards to work as they have received a bad batch of keys. I returned to the room and it worked. Upon entering the room, we found the room to have 2 double beds, not the Superior Queen room I had booked. We returned to reception and the young lady said well, you asked for a nice room so, I put you in a bigger room. My wife said but we want a queen bed. The young lady said we don't have any larger queen rooms available and was becoming quite defensive, rude and asked if we would like to speak to her supervisor, we said yes. The supervisor arrived and said we could take a small queen room and stay for our 3 booked nights or we could take the doule bed room and switch to a large queen room when it becomes available tomorrow. We chose to take the smaller queen room as it had the larger bed. We went to our room now on the 2nd floor. The window had a view to a wall, the beds mattress pad had brown staining of some unknown substance(s) (photo available) and the bathroom sink plug was stuck closed. My wife returned to the front desk and we were assigned back to a double bed room now on the 6th floor #609 for 3 nights. #610 was being renovated and very noisy. We were exhausted and disappointed
Location, location, location! Somewhat noisy but probably can't be avoided. Water wasnt hot enough in morning shower. Very nice property
Loved everything at the hotel especially the reception ladies who were so helpful and kind, they made us feel so welcome, would definitely be back, thanks !
The room first assigned to us was very small, dingy and dark. The radiator looked to be coming off the wall. When we called the front desk she assigned us a different room at no additional cost that was much larger and nicer.
Great Location and Staff
Great location. Worth the price. Room was warm on the 12th floor in December. Street noise was quiet from about 10 PM to 5:30 AM. Service, front desk, door staff were excellent.
The location was great, the hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay.
Great mid-town hotel
This was my second stay here and I was very pleased. We had a deluxe room and it was spacious and comfortable. It was a birthday trip and Anabelle at the front desk took great care of me and made it a special stay! It’s a great location and a comfortable hotel.
Stayed at Ameritania for 5 nights the week of Thanksgiving & it was a great experience! The location is very convenient. I easily walked to Today Show, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, close subway entrance & lots of nearby Mom & Pop diners/delis/pubs. The staff was super friendly & helpful. They arranged for my transportation to airport at 3:30am so I had no worries about getting home. It’s a smaller boutique hotel without the crowding of a chain brand - readily available elevators, comfortable lobby and nice and cozy (but small) room with very nice (but small) bathroom. Hallways revealed the older age of the building, but were very very clean. Bed was comfy & noise was not a problem. Shout out to Shay, Annabelle, Jalal & Mohammad who were so welcoming and friendly. The price was also very reasonable. I will definitely stay again.
-Hotel room was in a great area everything that we wanted to do was pretty close 20-30 mins walking - Room was small w a few cracks in the bathroom mirror however room service was good new sheets towels and shower essentials everyday, only thing is someone took my change I had on the nightstand - The lobby smells good and they provide water as well as coffee and tea in the morning - Staff were nice
The hotel room is tiny but manageable. The bedding feels very comfortable. The location is excellent to Time Square and Central Park. Some additional fee $22.89 besides of Expedia booking was asked to pay which is called a resort fee, no idea what is this about event we never used any other facility in the hotel. This makes the already expensive booking more unaffordable. This hidden cost Expedia should notify the customers in advance so they decide if they want to book this hotel.
The staff was great, the room was clean, could not beat the price for such a great location. Breakfast diner was across the street and the beds were super comfortable.
The keys is the thang
Love the hotel and its location. Hayes the room keys finally work with some coaxing
very helpful and kind concierge, and also door men are so helpful, me and my wife are so satisfied during our stay. Location was great, I am definitely thinking to stay there in my next New York trip
Great service
Great location!
The location was great and the hotel met our needs. The only drawback was the heat in the room. It was very hot and even though maintenance came up to help, we were unable to cool the room off to our liking.
Very convenient and friendly.
Its near all the tourist spots!
Nice
We need to update everything when we update. The doors stick and show wear. The tiles were new. This was a great location for what we needed. I probably will not stay in the area again. I think this hotel is fine for people who want to be close to Times Square or Central Park. Overall it was ok for what we used it for. Not a luxury hotel. We didn’t expect that either. It was clean and close to major attractions.
The only thing in my trip was , hotel insist on to charge the residency/ resort fee although it was clearly mentioned that it includes the prices when I make my reservation and paymnet. I had also the secreen view in print and showed them but they refused to accept it and told me that I didi my reservation towards a third party so I can talk them, but they can not make check in otherwise I pay it...
Staff was polite, helpful and professional
Perfect for my job, and very close to everything else when I had free time. Walked Central Park, saw the Met, and a great staff.
A great place to stay in Manhatton
The location is very good, it right in the corner of broadway and 54th. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. There is no street noise in my room. I am very happy with this hotel for the price I paid. The tall guy named Jeff who is in charge of luggage storage in the morning seems very intimidating and rude. The guys in the afternoon and evening are super nice. One thing was the key to elevator. You have to slide it to a slot while the door is closed. Also the room key’s arrow is misprinted, in fact you need to insert the key in the opposite direction of the arrow. At first no one told me and I could not get to the room. I had to come down from the 10th floor to the front desk to ask. I wish the front desk person told me when I got my key. Other than that this is a great place to stay in midtown.
The staff at registration were very helpful and very kind. There was a man who helped me and a young woman named Jan. Both were very nice indeed. I did not spend much time in the hotel but it was very convenient to Broadway and I could walk most places. It poured rain most of the time I was there, so it was good to come home to the Ameritania when I needed to. I would recommend this hotel to others as I noticed there was some renovating being done and that would be very welcome.
very comfortable and great staff. would come back again!
The decor is new but the doors are old. The locks show wear like they have been patched. F you are going to have nice tile, why not do it all together. This hotel would be perfect if they had paid attention to those details.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean. Thank you for a great stay.
Great location, friendly helpful staff, clean and extremely comfortable beds.
Absolutely loved my stay at Ameritania. The staff were amazing. The bellmen were the absolute best!! Jeff and Jalal and the evening bellman - can’t remember his name :( - were just fantastic. They gave my sister and me tips on where to sightsee and how to get there. They arranged for top-notch transportation back to the airport. Again just amazing. Clean hotel and felt very safe.
Dirty, small, and broken (air conditioner, bathroom tiles, etc.)
Great Hotel
Hotel is right around the corner from Time Square. The staff is great, and helped with our early checking. The room was tighten up everyday, and dtocked with toiletries and water bottles. They also offer free coffee and tea in the mornings, and wine in the evenings.
The room was 90° unless you ran the air conditioner which sounded like a jet engine and went on and off every 20 minutes, making sleep virtually impossible
