We had a great time.

No elevator. Super inconvenient to take luggage up on 2nd or 3rd floor. Broken locks Too noisy Hot, no temp control

It was fantastic. The walk up the 3 flights of stairs was well worth it. The only suggestion is to have paper towels available for guests to use.

Very comfortable place to stay

The apartment was very nice, very well located, easy access and was close to some good eating places.

No required amenities like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. No kitchen towels,strainer,spatula,scrapper. No proper kitchen amenities. Not a luxury apartment since basic required items not present. No parking for apartment. Noisy in the night due to bird sound.

We loved this place! I admit, we had some trouble with the parking, but only because we were tired and didn't take the time to really look at the parking information. If you do that prior to arriving, it will make things so very easy. We ended up parking very close and easily gained entry to this beautiful apartment. It had far more room than we needed, including a generously sized bathroom. The apartment has everything you need for a perfect stay. We enjoyed spreading out in the two large bedrooms. There was also plenty of room to hang out and play games. The surrounding area is completely walkable with plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. We ate dinner at one of the recommended restaurants that overlooked the harbor and then had drinks at the backpacker place. It was a great stay and wished we would have had more time.

The only reason for a 4 star rating vs. a 5 is, the city is noisy and made it difficult to fall asleep. If the windows were noise canceling, would have been a 5 for sure.

Clean, large apartment, well appointed and well located. There is no lift and we were on the 4th floor, so not good for us oldies. Very noisy, however it was the locals enjoying themselves rather then anything to do with the apartment.

Apartment conditions ok. Quiet during the day. Not many people walk around. BUT, extremely noisy at night. Cars horned at 1:44am. Loud music played at midnight until early morning. People shouting and talked loud on street. 4 flights of stairs without elevator. It’s a nightmare for travellers with heavy luggage.

I loved the apartment itself and the location. However a four floor walk up, no elevator, was tough at my age.

Great apartment right in the heart of the town. Bar just downstairs. Kebab shop just downstairs. Apartment is large and spacious. Beautiful view. Has a balcony. Washer and dryer. Great place!

We booked this last minute when our original rental fell through. Cute, clean, modern apartment in a great location for walking to shops and restaurants. Parking was not far. I wish we could have stayed longer but our travel plans did not allow it. I would absolutely stay here again.

Liked the location - perfect for walking around. Didn’t like staying on the fourth floor with a wife that has arthritis on the knee and no elevator.

We were in a jam to meet a cruise ship after delayed flights, and these folks were super nice! Very helpful, clean, and very convenient. Would highly recommend the Acco Apartments!

Nice place

Great location. Lovely apartment

Great location in Akureyri. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the harbor. On Wednesday nights in the summer there is a classic car show within a couple of blocks. Modern decor. Love the convenience of having the washer and dryer in the unit. Only drawback was having to walk up to the 4th floor.

The apartment itself is awesome !!! It was so clean and modern and we really enjoyed it. The only negative was there was a lot of street noise as it was a weekend night and there are bars and cafes downstairs . Despite that, I give it a thumbs up and would stay again.

The apartment was extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. The shower could have been a little cleaner and it drained a little slow. Our biggest issue was the noise. As others have stated the bar downstairs and birds are incredibly loud. Even with earplugs, the bass from the music at the bar was detectible in our unit on the 3rd floor. The back of the unit overlooks a shared area where the kegs and 8 dumpsters attracts a flock of seagulls. There really isn't anything the managers could do to improve either. Our stay was a Friday-Monday and the bar noise was worse on Friday and Saturday, but the birds were only quiet for about 2 hours per night (when it was dark). If you are unfamiliar with the sound of screeching seagulls, they were like a loud, obnoxious alarm that you have no control over.

Property is very nice. Great accommodations and location. There is a washer in the unit but no dryer. No shampoo/conditioner. Nice closet with a mirror allows space to get ready since one bathroom. Major complaint with a 5 pm check-in time and 10 am check-out time. Unacceptable.

Beautiful property and easy check in.

It was a very comfortable and clean setup which was really appreciated. It was great that it had a functioning kitchen, large clean bathroom, and a washer and dryer. Beds were warm and comfortable and clean, and it was restful to have a spacious living space to feel at home in. The only thing I wish to give constructive feedback about is that perhaps the property could provide kitchen towels or cleaning equipment so that we can better clean up the kitchen after we cook? There were no cleaning linens and very little amount of kitchen paper towels. Overall , one of the better quality stays we had in Iceland! Thank you

Very spacious apartment. Clean, bright, fully equipped kitchen. Close to shops and restaurants. Great base camp to explore the surroundings (Husavik, Myvatn area).

Luxurious apartment

A beautiful apartment. Extremely clean and comfortable. Felt luxurious. Great communication from the hosts about how to access. Well located with convenient parking which was free because we stayed at the weekend. A wonderful stay.

Good central location, a bit noisy from people and traffic in town as expected. Free parking hours align well with check-in and check out times. Outside of those hours, use parking app (clocks no longer used). Contactless check-in was easy. Apartment is very clean with lots of amenities. Note that laundry is washer only, but a drying rack is provided and our clothes were dry after leaving overnight. Zoned heated floors were cozy.

Nice apartment with everything you need. Check in was easy, although it would be nice if it was earlier than 5:00 (17:00). There are multiple apartments of each type and the pictures on the website may not be what you end up with, just something to be aware of. Recommend staying here.

Weekend in Akureyri

Nice stay in Akureyri, skiing and dining! On saturday night was the night club next door pumping music till 3am and finally we could sleep 3:30am.... horrible! The apartment was very nice and cleean.

The 3 bedroom apartment was a great 1-night stay. It was very clean, well-appointed, comfortable. Would 100% stay here again either for work or travel with my young family. Great location.

Great location in town, but a fair amount of street noise. We rented the penthouse unit with two patios, but the views were just ok. The unit is spacious and comfortable. Fairly sparse on kitchen amenities or supplies aside from some coffee and filters. Shower pressure was great and beds were comfortable. Excellent communication on check-in/out, parking, etc.

The windows are very thin, so you here everything outside. You are in the heart of the city which is great, but with that comes lots of noise and given the windows are so thin, you hear all of it. This is one of the reasons I ranked the property condition poorly. The other is that the water was very sulfur tasting and smelling. We stayed at a total of 8 places in all of Iceland and this is the only place the water wasn't drinkable. I am not sure if it was filter issues, pipes or the area, but it was sad to have to buy all our water while we were there and any time you brushed your teeth or washed your hands the bathroom or kitchen smelled like hard boiled eggs. The apartment was very nice otherwise. Good layout, nice style nice rooms, sheets, etc.

It was a good clean apartment. However parking will be troublesome. You will have to move the car before 10 am in the morning. This property is in a building in a busy street. Won't be exactly an Icelandic experience. Also they will strictly ask you to vacate the apartment at 11. There will not be any one at the property. You will have to talk to them over phone. Retrieving key in the late night will be a hassel. You will have to retrieve two key codes from your email one for the building and then the other for apartment it self. I would avoid renting here.

Wish we had stayed longer.

Very nice, but don't show up a minute before 5 :^(

First, this apartment is SUPER nice, comfortable, spacious. We have nothing bad to say about the apartment itself, where it is at in the city. You should be aware that when they say check-in is at 5, they mean it. After a loooong day, with us killing a couple hours in Akureyri as well, we thought heading over about 4:30 would work. NOPE. We were turned away and told to come back after 5. Its really bummed us out to have to kill another 30-40 minutes to relax a bit. 5:00?? C'mon, its dark after 5 for half the year there. This Checkin time is the only disappointment we had for our lodgings in this entire trip.

Good location. Good modern amenities.clean.noisy area .until 3:00 am in the morning people were in the street taking loudly.washer available however dryer not available in the unit. Not sure how people woyld be able to dry the clothes.

Great but noisy

Great experience staying at this place. The place is very clean and cozy with comfy bed and great decor. It is very very loud on a Friday and Saturday night and you can hear people yelling or drunk talking until 4 oçlock in the morning. I would suggest not to stay at this place Friday or Saturday night!

The apartment was spotless. The location is fantastic. Loved my stay, wish I had made reservations for more then 1 night.

ACCO was great. Big apartment and easy living for our family. The check in process is so much easier than I expected. I will say the key locker was a tough to open causing a brief moment of worry but just pushing harder after the code was entered opened the lock. Highly recommend.

Apartment was very nice. Close to stacks of restaurants and parking too. Only negatives were the shower didn't have a soap holder and looks a bit tired; a bit old and has a show curtain... and TV only had 3 or so working channels; a subscription service was there but not working and owner failed to respond about that.

It was really noisy when we were there. Raving motor bikes and cars. Felt like some kind of drag racing was going on there on the streets. Couldn’t sleep till 2 am. Called help line who suggested to use ear plugs to sleep. Everything else was ok. It’s good location to walk outside, shopping n food options. Parking is public not by the property. So you may have to pay for any paid parking.

Everything was very good except that there is no lift. Our two families had to lug 8 big luggage up the stairs. But that is what we should hv known. Otherwise, everything about the apartment is excellent.

Fantastic apartment in Akureyri - highly recommend

I stayed at Acco Apts in Akureyri for two nights during a road trop in Iceland. The apartment was fantastic. Spacious rooms with great amenities including a fully equipped kitchen. Great to be able to relax in an apartment rather than a hotel for a change . The apt Also included a washing machine which was readily used 7 days into a 10 day trip. The location was brilliant, 3 mins off the Main Street and across from key attractions such as whale watching tours. Would highly recommend!

Wow wow wow

What an awesome place! Huge kitchen and dining/living area. Walking distance to anything you could need. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Kids did mention they could hear street noise all night but I didn’t notice...

Great Stay!

The apartment was lovely. The self check in procedures seemed complicated in the welcome email but proved to be completely accurate and easy. The apartment was clean, spacious, and very conveniently located. It was great to be able to settle in for an evening and do a couple of loads of wash. Our one and only suggestion is to have coffee makings available for guests... coffee, sweetener, and creamer. Otherwise, great stay!

Fully furnished apartment “hommie feel “

Great apartment , well decorated clean with xtra rest pillows and sheets, lots of room fully furnished with full blown kitchen with oven and dishwasher laundry was a bounce as well my kids and wife loved it, nice big lots of windows along with walk out balcony at the back only con that I could think of that can be loud for few hours on weekends since it’s right close to bars and club , and no elevator thumbs up 👍

The Heart of Akureyri

Our stay at the ACCO apartments was perfect. It is in an ideal location in the heart of Akureyri with everything in close walking distance. The inside of the apartment was modern and comfortable. The wrap around balcony on the top floor provided us with amazing views of the downtown on one side and the water on the other. I wish I could live there!

Loved the apartments and how updated it was. Only difficulty was with having just one bathroom. If the utility room could have been converted to a half bath, that would have significantly helped. 6 people and 1 bathroom is tough.

Very stylish and kitchen was fully stocked for cooking.

Tried to check our bags early and then go off to do adventures. Mean Russian lady said, “NO”. Very unhelpful. Made us stand out in the cold wind on the street. Spoke to us on intercom. Wouldn’t give us check in info. Said she sent an email 1 day ago. Didn’t realize we came from overseas. NO PARKING. Had to carry bags up four flights of stairs. No elevator. Changed door code during our stay and they sent it to home email despite us giving them cell phone email. No soap for shower. Sleeper sofa was bogus. No black out shades. BAD PLACE- STAY ELSEWHERE !!!

Nice Spacious Apartment

Our stay here was great. The apartment was spacious enough and located close to some good restaurants. We were there for 2 nights and I did hear some music coming from downstairs on the friday night but it wasn't too loud and didn't last too long. The apartment came with all the necessities such as washer and dryer and the utensils to cook (which comes in really handy when in Iceland)

Great Apartment

Great location and great apartments. However checkin was little painful. I missed email with checkin instructions and when i attempted to call someone from the front door, call kept getting disconnected. Fortunately one of my friend had a cell phone so we called the number mentioned on door. Lady who responded to our call was really helpful and she gave us emailed all the instructions right away. We were little pissed with checkin process but once we saw the apartment we forgot everything. It was really clean , spacious and updated 2 bed apartment with kitchen. We really liked the place and i will definitely stay here again
