They charge $100 for the lost keys They put speakers outside every room they put very loud the music at 8:00 am They knock the room at 8:00 am for cleaning the room The housekeeper knock at 8:00 if you don’t accept the room service at the time they say, they took a picture saying don’t bother The front desk want charge for 2 kids under 10 years old They want to sell shared time every day giving you a free breakfast but you lost a money day hotel
Muy bonito
Zafiro is right on the beach with a great view. It is quiet and private. We had a great room, ocean view, and very clean. Others in our group had a lot of issues with their room such as termites and broken door handles. The property definitely needs work. The pool deck had broken pieces, the hot tub was not heated and the railing was unsafe. Tables and chairs under the awning would be nice as well as chairs for the beach. The room was clean, large and good value for the price. The hotel itself has no amenities at all. There was breakfast available for an extra charge, but it was always full of people trying to sell time shares. Zafiro s across the street from pickleball courts. Some maintenance and minor upgrades and I might go back.
Perfect
The property is in a very much needed renovation fridge didn’t fit counter top all broken the stove was very old and you had to let it heat up for a long time very little light in the kitchen the hot tub was cold and missing a lot of tiles the railing was very old and wobbly no railing to the pool which was missing a lot of tiles around it it needs a lot of work staff were friendly but very little English in the advertising it said toaster, blender,BBQ we had none of the above we complained and they went and bought all 3 of us a toaster no spa or service of any kind that was advertised very few loungers at the pool so the advertising was very deceiving
Not a well maintained property. AC did not work. Rundown. Bell boy was very helpful and very apologetic about the situation.
Tv entertainment was zero. No channels available at all.
On site employees and Staff very nice.
A small property but aging. All staff very attentive and responsive. Not enough loungers at the pool
The Zafiro needs a good renovation but is a quiet hotel with room for improvement. Staff was friendly did not always follow through on issues. The internet was an issue in my room which was a bummer. You have to realize it is not a 4/5 star hotel so if you accepting of a few deficiencies it was a great stay and the location and quietness was nice to have.
Didn’t like the fact that the resort allows non-registered guests to come into the rooms after midnight and disturbed the guests. Happened to us for 5 nights of our stay. Other than that we had a great time.
Zafir is a very good value for the money. But it is a quirky property that still needs more upgrading. It used to be a luxury resort, but has faded. The staff is working hard to improve the place; it just takes time. My stay was good.
The only thing i loved about this place was the view other than that everything else was bad at check in the lady at the desk did not know where my room was. the pool was super cold the jacuzzi didnt work
Customer service was bd it took 1hr to fine my reservation, He ended call someone for help and found it it took another 20 min to give me my room Young man look confused. Had trouble with Ac unit started licking it was midnight so didn’t want to bother to call and waste my time chasing room. The next morning they decided to charge me a second reservation that I made 3 reservations and charged me. The young man in the front desk was still working there in morning lack of employees he looked disoriented poor thing they need to hire more staff.
There is no restaurant, spa, or beach access as listed in the amenities. Breakfast is offered by the pool but it's an extra charge and you have to buy a paper ticket each morning. The girls that are responsible for providing the ticket seem put out by having to do this for you. The rooms are big and have a small kitchenette which came in handy as this property is a bit far from most restaurants and the more popular downtown beach area. Getting an open air taxi or Uber is not difficult though.
The ocean was couple feet away ! Beautiful view , great service, great customer service, condo are amazing
Small boutique hotel, 2 very large, LOUD outdoor parties. Couldn't sit on balcony and enjoy the night. Could not completely close sliding doors, wouldn't have made much difference, SO, couldn't even find any peace indoors. Very disappointing experience.
The people at the property were really very accommodating. It was clean but the linens were old. The property and the entire area is worn from hurricanes then Covid hit and things sat. They are in the process of doing repairs and painting. The beaches north of the marina have eroded and there is little or no accessibility for many of the resorts. But honestly the staff there went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Great job!
They didn't have water and they have roaches .I call the office 4 times they couldn't cancel my reservation for me to go to another hotel !!!
We had two suites….the lights on the bathroom didn’t work, the AC in the leaving room wasn’t working. The second suite the AC in the room wasn’t working properly. The towels were old and had holes in them. I left a tequila bottle in the freezer and called within an hour of checking out to go back and get it, they claimed it wasn’t there. Was very disappointed. Property it self is well located and it’s gorgeous.
I didn’t like the room we have bugs plus the ac wasn’t working when I got there they make me pay more than what I supposed to payed it was a very bad experience I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone
Pool hours need to be extended couple hours more
The hotel is nice it's right on the beach. The only problem is that it is located too far from the city center and from the area where bars and restaurants are
It was good just for the dust in the kitchen
bit disappointed
Room was nice. Kitchen had full amenities but nothing to cook with/in. Very few chairs outside to enjoy ocean and view. Language barrier hard for me. No dinner available. Didn’t find out until after I arrived.
I like tue view . I don’t like the property conditions , need more maintenance.
I liked that The Pool was next to beach, which was convenient for us. The kids loved it
Well, my son got injure at the pool, I ask for first aid and they didn't have nothing. Other thing is I ask for more blankets and they said it wasn't available.
Not so reaort
The check in was not safe.. our room had no safety lock.. when we notified them upon check in they said they would have someone look at it in the am.. this was at 10 pm at night.. mind you that mazatlan Sinaloa is where the cartels had gun fights and murders for the last 5 yrs.. so my family was not secure on their first night..the cleaning staff was at minimum just there.. we found old socks and stuff under bed as well as sheets not being changes out
Beach front with some dificulties
It has great potential and a beautiful view (some rooms). We stayed in different rooms so I know that some of the rooms are renovated and very clean, the one that I stayed in was dirty when we got there and was not updated. Updated rooms had more comfortable beds. The front office was very nice but we did have to call them a couple of time for the room to be cleaned. They have a very nice pool and a little restaurant that serves from 7-3.
Hotel , location, beauty were perfect. Missed English t.v.
Staff Misrepresented themselves, provided false information.
We very much enjoyed the pleasant breakfast area. It was nice to be able to enjoy the ocean view in a quiet very clean open dining area.
The shower water temperature was less than acceptable. Warm at best. The Jacuzzi water temperature was terrible and there did not appear any attempt to correct the problem. It was unusable throughout the whole week I was there. Unacceptable for a resort atmosphere on the beach.
Two of 3 pools and the hot tub not useable for full 10 day stay. Kitchen very poorly stocked. Not even any glasses, bowls or pots.
Exterior of property maintained in great shape as they have time share commonly referred to as vacation rental program coming to the ptoperty. Inside unit shabby. Kitchen poorly stocked on every level. Don’t plan on doing much beside making sandwiches.
Good Hotel
It is in a great area, close enough to the Golden Zone, but far enough to where it feels quite. Good lobby and general area. Quick access to rooms. Rooms need some updating. Great Wifi, Good Beds and pillows
Bathroom was sort of disgusting upon arrival. Employees outside of main office seemed glum and unhappy. Main pool was dirty and had garbage strewn outside exterior of the pool. Oxxo across the street was dangerous to cross to as there is a lot of traffic and no street lights. Pretty precarious. I will not stay here again.
Very Good Value
It is located right on the water! Never been so close to the water. The infinity pool reaches right out to it! The front desk guys were great. Even the so called pool bar (just a temporary set up) the service was great as it was a busy Sunday in Mazatlan. The rooms have a great view and are pretty quiet, but the condition of the room and linens were well past their prime. The floor paint job shows that it does NOT hold up.Needs to be tiled in a bad way. For the price it was very good value. We only spent one night as we were traveling north thru town
Pleasing Stay
Hotel is fairly good. No elevators, though and there is a building being bilt right next to it, loosing a little bit of privacy. Would need side privacy blinds on room terraces. The pool has no heat, which makes it difficult to get in when the weather is not helping. The beach is very good and the service people does its best to please. Overal we would go back.
Take your money elsewhere.
Hotel is nice but no parking on premises. Our water was cold and kept on telling the front desk about it and they did nothing to fix it. They have a company onsite trying to sell you vacation packages and are very very pushy. The location of the hotel is great but for the same price you can get something better in the area. I would not stay here again.
Nice big updated room no amenities
Room was nice, large and updated. Bathroom window broken, sliding door handle missing and broken. NO American TV stations. All other resorts have American TV. Pools are worthless. No restaurants there. No umbrellas on beach nor beach chairs.
Tour packages more important than customer service
On arrival the receptionist was only focused on selling us a tour package instead of ensuring our accommodation. The bathroom was dirty, toothpaste in sink, dirty and stained toilet and worst of all toilet seat was sprinkled with water or urine, not sure. There was no hot water in the shower and the toilet took a while to fill before you could flush it. I brought it to the attention of the receptionist. She apologized and went back to trying to sell me a tour package. They cleaned the bathroom the next day and we had hot water in the day but not at night. On our last day she let me know she was upset because I had not purchased any tour packages from her. This was the worst service I have received no one came to help out with our luggage. The hotel is beautiful it is a shame the customer service was terrible.
Nice Place, Mostly Laid Back
It was all in all a good experience. This hotel is far from any activities so bring your cab budget. It's like 100 ($7.50 USD) pesos to the Golden Zone. I found that much of Mazatlán is Spanish speaking only. My experiences in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Playa Del Carmen, and Cancun had many more folks who were bilingual. Shame on me for not being but for a tourist town I'd expected a bit less trouble communicating with hotel staff. We were there for 6 nights and only had two real issues during the stay. The first was that they were replacing pool deck tiles with a hammer, chisel, and sometimes a jackhammer. This noise was unbearable, especially bright and early in the morning. A brief question to the head maintenance guy and the noise was limited to afternoon hours and stopped completely over the weekend. Gracias! The next was Sunday night when there were many local guests and everyone had a boombox and/or too much to drink making for loud voices. That quieted down about 11pm but 15m later, the Karaoke started up in the room above ours. They ran until about 3am. That was a bit tough. The final thing was that the pool could have been operated better. It was one of those 'zero edge' pools that requires water to spill over the edge to be automatically skimmed. The water level was too low so it wasn't being skimmed and after busy days there was a float of debris including body and tanning oils on the surface.
Had an amazing time!!!
The Torrenza Boutigue Resort is approx. 5 miles from the Golden Zone. The beach was within steps away from my room. The only downside about this resort is there's no restraunt or room service. If you want to eat, you'll have to use the luxurious kitchen in your room or take a short ride to the golden zone. I loved this place and will definitely return next year!
A very good option
Besides the fact that the hotel was constantly slow on providing us with hot water (they had the boilers off, because according to them it was still hot season and they wanted to save money...), the stay was a success. The hotel per se is very nice and practical, and quiet, which was a big bonus.
Torrenza at Marina Mazatlan
Torrenza is located at the new developed marina area, north of mazatlan, the neighborhood is very peaceful. There is a corner store just steps outside of the hotel. The room is perfect, included a kitchen with full size appliances, sitting area and nice bathroom. I will definitely return to this property and will recommend it.
Beautiful hotel with great views and friendy staff
A colleague and I stayed here on the last night of a work trip. The hotel is in the Marina section of Mazatlan, so it's a short ride to most attractions in the golden zone or las oltas. You cannot walk to many places. We visited in June, and the hotel was very quiet and serene. The pool right on the beach is hard to beat, the rooms have great kitchens and are very spacious. My friend was stung by a jellyfish on the beach and the staff leapt into action to make her more comfortable. A bar/cafe with limited options was available occasionally. Its convenient, but you'd do better to eat elsewhere. And it is easy and inexpensive to grab snacks and drinks at the Oxxo across the street. Because of the beautiful views, tranquility, friendly staff and spacious pool area I'd definitely recommend this hotel to any one visiting Mazatlan.
Great for resting
a small hotel with sea view....nothing more relaxing
Not as good as the pictures show - had to request
First room they put us in was dirty; had to request toilet paper, towels, and many repairs to the equipment in the room. They finally looked at what we had received and knew we were so unhappy that they put us in a deluxe suite. The furniture, beds, kitchen and dining area in the new suite were great. Still a delay in towels to the room. They have to take the towels from your room and go wash them to bring fresh towels each day. Requested more than one roll of toilet paper because as one gets older they use more toilet paper. The last day prior to our leaving my husband had to go to a supply room and get us two rolls of toilet paper for that night and the next morning. The people who did give us service after our dissatisfaction bent over backwards to try to make us happy. We would not stay there again.
great hotel wonderful staff
staff was super friendly, room was clean, bed was very comfortable.my room had a complete kitchenette. i got a complimentary upgrade because the hotel was not too full so i had a fantastic ocean view. the pools are clean and well maintained. all in all a great value. cerritos is away from the hustle and bussel(which i love) but busses and taxis are right outside the door if you want to find the nightlife. i would stay there again.
/tORRENZA BOUTIQUE RESORT
Very Serene and quiet, just what we were looking for in a small hotel away from the all-inclusive crowds. In the late fall, the hotel was less than 1/4 full and we were given a choice of rooms, choosing to upgrade to the premium, ground floor, oceanfront unit. From the beginning, we had only lukewarm water despite a request to raise the heat. Staff very friendly and helpful, pleasant restaurant on premises for breakfast and lunch with good food and reasonable prices. No beach in front but good pool. Access to beaches north of hotel is 3 blocks. Lots of cheap buses and taxis to get to the historic center (12 miles) or hotel zone (4 miles). We liked the restaurants in the historic centre the best for dinners.
Hotel was ok for the price. The room is big, nice view funtional kittchenette. Other suites have been remodeled and they look very nice. Bathroom big. Staff very nice and helpful. Pool kind of small no too clean after 4 days. Lots of kids in the jacuzzi (summer).
Buena atención, volvería a hospedarme ahí 👍
Buen hotel mala playa
What I like about the place was has access to pool, same time beach. Had to tell concierge to have sheets, pillow cases washed.
