Clean and quite. Good front desk staff. My room was tiny but the shower was great.
London visit
A nice hotel, conveniently located to the underground, shops and restaurants. My room had everything I needed, and was cleaned every day. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
10/10 will definitely stay again
For a cheap hotel it was great for our family close to buses and trains and food and the staff were amazing and so helpful and nice
Very basic, but clean, safe area and easily found.
Solo traveller
Hotel has a lift. Room was very basic. Room has a fridge which was handy. Bathtub felt a bit unstable.
Very basic room , was very warm no aircon .. but did the job for the night
Clean comfortable bed 3 ladies travelling a quad room plenty of room around bed friendly staff shame it is bed only breakfast would have been great
It’s extremely basic, we got given a room that was right behind reception (which is 24hrs) so we’d hear people coming and going.
Proximity to tube. Great bathroom.
The place was fine. Obviously it was small, but they didn't need to be so shockingly cheap on the little, but important, things to have in the room like firm (not flimsy) plastic hangers, having a little shelf in the shower so you can put your shampoo/soap there, and a towel that will wrap all the way around you. They really don't need to be so cheap on these things. At least the window curtains were opaque which is important in London when it gets light so early in the morning.
Very clean and spacious.
Liked: clean, comfortable accommodation in walking distance of many restaurants and London museums. Friendly & helpful staff who looked after our bags after checkout. Issues: patchy wifi
Good
Staff was awesome. Room was good, TV was tiny and the bed wasn’t as comfortable as we would’ve liked. Would stay again.
Good stay here. Staff very friendly
Bed bugs; refusal to take responsibility. I am covered in at least 10 bed bug bites from staying in room 10 (ironic I know). No apology or refund as no complaint made during the stay. This was a quick stop overnight for a work trip and I left early the next morning. Bed bug bites can take days to appear so I didn’t notice them until I was already at work and away from the property. Please as a bare minimum deep clean the rooms if you’re not going to refund your guests for poor hygiene
Hotel is in a very good neighborhood, walking distance to the subway station.
Nice solo stay
The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower was nice and hot with good pressure. I was given extra pillows and towels at my request very easily, the staff was very sweet. Special thanks to Alex for his friendliness and recommendations!
Good Value for Money and we enjoyed our stay.
Second stay here and it's one I'll keep coming back to. This time i had a basement room which worried me at first but it was fine. Very clean. Shower was roomy, powerful and hot. Could do with more shampoo/shower gel although i tend to bring my own. Catering cups don't hold much tea....could do with mugs. Apart from that very satisfactory
I have stayed in a few budget hotels now and this one is definitely above average. Reception is manned 24hrs with helpful staff. Security code on front door. Single room was compact but adequate. Comfortable bed. Tea making facilities. Decor a little tired but carpet looked new and everything was clean. Broken floor tile in Bathroom but bathroom was big, clean and shower cubicle a good size.
Pretty decent for the price and location
Can't argue with the price! I needed a cheap room to stay in as I was working nearby and this was pretty decent for the price. Obviously the carpet and fittings were a bit careworn, but no worries about the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. I'd have preferred a door that had a double lock or chain. And a window that could open, as it got quite hot. Not too noisy, despite the A4 right outside. Short walk to all the amenities of South Kensington.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel room was very clean, but they could really use new carpets. The outside of the hotel was not attractive by any means, but dont let that distract you from how nice the staff is, and how clean the rooms are. Oh, dont plan on sleeping in late. The cleaning staff is very loud. I would definitely book again.
Functional for sleeping over.
Everything was reasonably clean. Very few amenities. Basicaly worn and needs tlc. Bed was good. Room was heated and having on suite compensaites. There was a bit of internal noise but not too bad.
Convenient location (10 mins walk from tube, right next to national express stop) Small, dated but clean and comfortable.
Nothing like described, Disappointing,
Twin room at very front of hotel. It was partitioned off from the reception desk. Incredibly noisy with traffic and windows not sound proofed, we had to buy ear plugs for second night. We sought to change room but only other twin in building was occupied. Bathroom was very jaded with no anti slip mat despite a sign saying Slip Hazard please use mat. Room only has a small stool for sitting. The room was not one for spending any time in other to sleep. Staff were friendly.
Good value and great location near tube.
As a two star-rated hotel, I thought this hotel was pretty good. Great location and, importantly for me, reasonably quiet so I got a good night's sleep. Bathroom also fine for a two star hotel.
Fit for Price
Good budget hotel, clean and tidy and room was up to a standard. Bit noisy as the doors arent sealed very well for sound but other than this fit for price.
Single room
Room was OK for the price, basic but bathroom was quite big
steps to front nothing like pics un comfertable beds un safe lift helpfull staff

Bed Bugs. Got bitten all over the body. Staff excellent.
I like this hotel. It is not my first nor last time.
First night of second stay they didn’t have the twin room available that we had reserved so we had to share a double, fortunately it was me and my son. Second night they got us into a room with two double beds. Accommodations were basic but the staff were friendly and helpful. Allowed us to keep luggage on site during room change and staff moved luggage to new room prior to arrival on second night. Nice touch. Hotel is close to main road but area feels safe.
The building is dilapidated and needs repairs. The stairs are creaking with age, lift is the tiniest I have seen and there is no ac and telephone. It is unsafe and should not be in your web site. In case of emergency, you’ll be trapped and no way to get out. The location is good though.
Pleasant stay
Very enjoyable, nice bedroom and bathroom, and served it’s purpose well
Ideal for quick over night stays
Hotel was nicely situated to amenities and easy enough to get about. Felt very safe. We were there for less than 12 hours only looking for somewhere to put our heads down. Room was extremely hot Had to prop bathroom door open as it was so hot. Shower lost pressure if it was too high. But over all it was okay. I sleep better with a little bit of noise so was gratefully to be groundfloor on the front. Gentle road noise and the tv in reception was great. I only woke up when the tv went quiet think. Staff polite and smiling when we checked it telling us were to go for food.
Above average for a budget hotel. Funny, polite staff. I was so happy to see lifts (something missing from a surprising amount of London hotels). The room was small but really comfortable. It was VERY quiet for London, I even slept with the window open! It was a rare surprise to find the room warmed up for me. I often find London hotels really cold. Everything was clean and quiet - a combination I rarely find for under £90. It’s not luxury by any means, but if you’re looking for somewhere affordable, quiet and comfortable, this is perfect.
If you’re travelling by national express it right next to the bus stop Earl’s Court the room was clean but a little tattered and rough around the edges but for this price who cares. nice staff very helpful
Location great, hotel good, good reception.
Nice great help from reception, radiator was not working properly too hot, and no remote control, should always be checked. Otherwise location excellent, bed good, coffee, tea etc nice room, view. Shower ok could do with more power.
I stayed 6 nights, and was very happy here. It was easy to walk to the tube station, lots of nearby shopping for food, and the people who worked at reception were awesome! They helped me whenever I had questions, gave advice, and were very friendly.
On arrival, I rang reception and the phone number for half an hour before someone let me in. Standing outside I pondered if I had been scammed and there was no hotel there at all. I finally get in with a very weak apology, and get sent to the basement in a coffin sized room that looked far worse than what was on the website. Never again.
Good room
Nice room near Earls ct.
Ok value
Budget option. Reasonably clean. You get what you pay for.
Great
Perfect
hostel not hotel
Was shocked when we stepped into this hotel, from moment i stepped into reception the smell was overpowering, stale smell, musty, really not nice, carpets worn everywhere, we was very late evening and tired or i would have left hotel and found somewhere else, the room was not nice either, carpets soiled, worn, stained, just disgusting
Enjoyed the location, room was very small but the bed was comfy enough and overall place was good value for price. Room definitely got quite hot though as the heater would not turn al the way off and the towel warmer in the bathroom ran very hot without a clear way of adjusting temperature.
I have stayed here a couple of times. This is not a fancy hotel, but it is clean, the bed is quite comfortable, the bathroom is good size, and the staff is helpful. Safe excellent location. There’s a fabulous Tesco Superstore (groceries, baked goods, sundries, pharmacy, some clothing, etc.) at the corner. It’s an easy ten-minute walk to the Earls Court tube station, before which you’ll pass restaurants, pubs, Boots, and a small grocery store. Be sure to get a room at the back of the hotel if you can — very quiet! It is certainly a no-frills accommodation, but you can’t beat the price. And how much time do you really spend in your room? It’s a good night’s sleep after a full day exploring and enjoying London!
Clean, hot water, heater worked well...what i expected.
Good value
Good value for money albeit the single rooms are very small but I expected that.
V convenient
Smell of tobacco even in non-smoke room, and bath room ceiling covered with black mold I feel quite unsafe. There were not replacement room hotel staff came with terrible smell deodorant spray. All night suffered from smell.
This Hotel is NOT ACCEPTABLE
Although several members of the staff were friendly and courteous, this hotel has serious shortcomings, especially regarding bathroom safety. Namely, there is no hand bar to hold when in the shower and the shower floor is very slippery. When I asked for a rubber mat, I was told they could only provide another cloth mat that I could use. No breakfast is being served with the justification being the room is too close and causes a covid risk. The room was way too small and the condition was dirty and grimy. The room was very poorly lighted. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. I requested a final invoice that showed the separate VAT I was being charged. This was not printed for me. I will be recommending that Hotels.com drop this property from their inventory. Eric Blythe
Liverpool was great!
Very nice efficiency type room with full kitchen. TV and wi fi connections were great. However, i set off the fire alarm just by opening the oven to get my food, and no one at the hotel seemed to be around to tell me the alarm would eventually turn off- limited front desk presence at times. Very close to main train station, but a longer walk than expected to main bus station at albert docks. However, Liverpool is a great city to visit, particularly if you are a Beatles fan! Also a great maritime museum and slavery museum- very worthwhile; watch out for monday closure day.
Basic but clean and friendly staff. All we needed as having early surgery at a local hospital took the pressure off having to worry getting into London.
The location is excellent and amenities are very reasonable for its budget price. The staff at the hotel are also very friendly and helpful.
good hotel
excellent staff helpfulness, clean, room quite small but that is what i paid for. good value for money.
Quiet room
Nice location quiet
Nice neat room near Earls ct
Nice quiet single room at back of hotel, littlegarden outside, room had all what was necessary, clean and neat. Water power on shower was only downpoint
Worth the price!
The room are huge comparing to the price and the bed are comfy, has everything that you needed.Great services plus free Wi-Fi. The down side are the pressure of water pretty low and the wall are quite thin. I would feel safer if they’ve got another lock from inside.
Nice Place
This is a nice little hotel just next to a bus stop that takes you into central London. The room was clean and compact with a TV in good working order with plenty of chanels. Its 5-10 minute direct walk to Earls Court station and so easy and quick to get into the west end.Its very close to several nice eateries, pubs and theres a big supermarket only a stones throw away. The reception staff were polite and helpful.
London hotels have really small rooms. So do not be surprised when you see the size of the room. The price was really reasonable. The location for my purposes was perfect. The hotel has hardly any facilities, but the staff are all totally nice and service-minded and are trying to do what can be done to make you feel welcome and comfortable.
The location is next to the subway station. Its very close to the grocery store. If u want to but food and water. I would stay here again.
Friendly stuff. Cold room
It would have been a good stay if the heating was on and the window could be shut
Very good place to stay in Kensington area. Great location, good quailty and very friendly staff.
Location is nice and close to Earl's Court but does lie on a main road - noise from this is fine if window in room facing over the road is closed but can be a bit noisy otherwise. The hotel itself is in reasonable state and is comfortable enough. Bits could do with a new lick of paint and so on but fundamentally nothing wrong.
Value for money
Place smelled like a retirement home, had the old person smell. But was conveniently located for a weekend trip to london. Close the tube and all other city access.
Location was good. But my room faced a noisy road so I had to sleep with the window shut and it became too hot as a result
The Bates Motel in London
Probably fine if you've just been released from prison or you've been living in a safe house! Extremely dated hotel which i can live with. The problem is the fact that its filthy. Window's and bathroom in particular. The breakfast is basic at the extreme. Coco pops and white bread is about all you get. Clean the hotel and think about the experience of your guests. A few tweaks and the hotel would at least be bearable.
Good location. Clean and provided everything we needed
The west Cromwell is rhe seediest hotel I’ve ever been in.
Fair
It was a good stay. I think they just need to clean the refrigerators and maintain them well because they were dirty when we checked in our room. The stairs are also a bit scary and the elevator is too small. Nonetheless, the service was good and the crew were accommodating.
For less the £40 in central London I was a bit concerned but it wasn't too bad. Friendly and quick check in. Was easy to find from Earls Court tube. Room (basement room 3) was tiny (no problem for me as just 1 night) and a bit grubby in places. Tea and coffee tray but no milk. Decent tv. Road noise was not too bad unless someone decided to race past. Some loud talking outside at one point. Heavy blackout curtains would reduce light and noise possibly? However for the money, we got to sleep, had a decent shower and got a run in Hyde Park. Checkout also easy and given a free (if very plasticy) bottle of water and sweets.
Room had not been cleaned properly: had pervious occupants rubbish in it and stained sheets. Room painfully warm with dust encrusted fan which was useless. Only one usable plug socket in the whole room.
Reception was ok. A “doer” attitude, nothing extra but the bland ordinary. Continental breakfast bland as well and staff cannot speak a drop of English which I hold the hotel’s management on this one. Beds in room very comfortable and protected with mattress covers. Room was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival as there were it’s n bits left in the room by the previous guests. Bathroom sink cracked and give off and wrenching scent. Wall tiles moldy and water pressure from the shower head not forceful. Bathroom amenities just stack in the corner and not out of display. Room had body and hand towels but no face towel, which was fine as we always travel with ours. Mini refrigerator separate rails, mildew knobs and not cooling. The only one window in the room was completely covered with bird mess so as we walked in it’s right in our face hindering whatever view we had though it was the back of apartment complexes. The elevator was the most hilarious asset to the hotel. Max 3 people, 222kg. The elevator was so tiny it held my 14 year old daughter and cousin who literally held their breath in order for the door to close. There are stairs but being on the fourth floor with luggage’s the stairs them selves squeaked at EVERY step.
london visit
great little hotel and the staff were well on it..comfortable and easy access to the public transport system ..very enjoyable
Very run down
I was dubious as to the quality due to price, room was very outdated with a grotty bathroom, horrible duvet and generally poor condition. Scorching hot day and not even any bottles of water given to use on arrival even though i could see them behind the reception when checking in. Breakfast room was clean and tidy but milk put out was off and yoghurts were warm. Only other option wa some toast (just white bread). Would not recommend
The location was ideal for the Earls Court tube station less than ten minute walk away. Beds very comfortable. Staff at desk, Nicolo and Enrico, were very, very helpful with all my questions.
Amazing value for a short stay in London
If you are a Queen fan it's a great location as just round the corner from Logan Place! It is an easy 20min walk to the museums and handy for tube stations if you want to get across London. The hotel itself is great. Rooms not huge, but they packed everything in you needed! My single room had a very comfy bed, wardrobe, ironing board, tea / coffee, a TV that worked and had a decent screen as well as a shower and toilet! Breakfast was continental in style and got your day off to a good start!
The hotel is an old house that was converted to a small hotel. Convenient for Heathrow airport. Walking distance to the museums. It is on Cromwell Rd.so it is noisy along the day up to midnight. Staffare very helpful
surprisingly helpful staff
very helpful staff on front desk. very happy to show me around their other free apartments re options for future visits.
This could be a decent economy hotel but too many issues. Entire hotel smelled bad. Carpets dirty and smelled musty and moldy. Toilet and bathroom smelled like a sewer. Bed was hard as a rock and pillows flat. Some power outlets didn’t work. Breakfast is not worth eating. No lobby to sit down in.
For short break very good hotel.
Customer service was great! I stay only one night but would stay at this hotel again.
Great location for Earl's Court shops and the Museums. Hotel facilities were good, single room was small.
Hotel staf were wonderful. The room however is in desperate need of updating. Old scale ridden fixtures in the bathroom, an unusable fridge, lumpy and extremely heavy pillows and tired decor unfortunately made for no repeat custom in this case. On the upside, I slept soundly and the shower had good pressure. Overall not bad for a one off one night stay, but don’t stay here for a weeks holiday.
Excellent value for money.. comfortable.. perfect location.. great customer service.. and chocs while we checked out was a pleasant surprise.. happy to recommend it..
West Cromwell Hotel
Location is convenient as walking distance to Earls Court Station & to Tesco. Tiniest lift I have ever been in.
No so nice.
I felt quite unsafe here. There is no chain on the door, you hear everyone coming down the stairs above or going down the stairs next to the room with the door seeming to move with each door opened & closed. The bath towels barely reach around you & despite advising the owner of this & being promised a bigger towel this was not forthcoming. Being given a gift box on leaving is a lovely touch, however giving this at the beginning of the stay would be nicer or putting the goods in the room to have with tea/coffee. Breakfast left a lot to be desired as did the woman attendant - very unfriendly. I don't believe it would cost much to supply fruit in season & a better choice of cereals & bread. I had a better hotel at Kensington when I stayed in London earlier in my trip - I wouldn't book here again.
Great location
Good location within walking distance of Holland and Regent parks and tube.Comfortable room only marred by noise of heavy traffic.Breakfast could have been more extensive but coffee was great.
Accessible, Friendly
For a budget hotel this one is ok for the price, considering this is London. Several plus points going for it - near the tube (Earl's Court) and with the same tube line to and from Heathrow and therefore easy to go to the usual tourist sites, and near fastfood shops, restaurants and supermarket. Breakfast is monotonous but filling. Staff are friendly. The room is small - but hey this is a budget hotel AND this is London; anyway it is adequate for one's needs, and you have your own bath. The free WiFi is high speed. There is a tiny lift so going to and from your room even if you are in the fourth floor is convenient.
Good budget choice
Decent budget hotel, good sized room which was clean and had all the amenities you would expect. Negatives were the mattress was well used and the springs dug in to your back when sleeping and the door lock was broken.
Hotel far away from anything! Staff was nice but room was horrible and not clean. Too tight and just makes you feel cramped and you can’t breathe. Room 7G
West Cromwell Hotel
As it was a two-star hotel, we weren't expecting anything plush, but it was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a quad room and, although a little cramped for three adults and a child, as we weren't going to spend a lot of time in the room, it was adequate for what we needed. The small gift of a box of biscuits on our departure was a nice touch.
Good location but too noisy at night.
The hotel is at a bargain especially for its location. The lift could use some upgrading as it jerks when it reaches the level. Only able to fit one luggage and a person. The room has all the basic facilities. The toilet is clean but the bed could use some cleaning. I find the breakfast could be more creative. Imagine staying 5 nights and it's the same breakfast every single day. Out of 5 nights I had a night of good sleep because it is too noisy outside with the buses, siren and cars at the wee hours of the morning. I thank the hotel for giving me a Christmas pack after checking out. It was a nice gesture. So yes, if you are looking for a hotel with good location and wont having to burn your wallet, I would recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel
It was amazing
I have stayed in Hostels as a teenager that was better than this.
Basic but well priced and local for Olympia
This is cheap and well-placed for Olympia and certain other locations. But there are obvious compromises. My single room was small with a small, but clean acceptable en-suite. The only thing really missing from the en-suite was a shelf to put your toiletries on. The small single bed didn't look terribly inviting but it was clean and I had a reasonably comfortable night. The wall-mounted desk/table is also small but in such a small room you wouldn't want it any larger. Once the radiator had been turned on for a few minutes it was warm enough. Kettle and drink making kit are provided. My room was Ground floor at the back which was fine as it was quiet. The reception and check-in was fine though the penalty for a lost key (£25) is steep so beware. I didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment.
value for money hotel
good value for money with a great location
Very good value for the price, close to svcs.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. Good sized rooms. Only amenity missing is maybe a microwave.... close to a large tesco. I feel I received great value and service for the price point!

Very noisy, could hear all traffic and noises from outside the building, could not sleep!!
