Pros: amazing location, sea views, elevator, parking Cons: Mattress was terrible, soft and so uncomfortable, Aircon was not strong enough to cool the room, a little pricey

room smells, fridge hardly working, light bulb in bathroom flickering all the time. For $500 per night, I expected nice room. Smell in room coming from bathroom was awful. One word: disappointed

Smack, bang in the heart of Byron beside the Beach, Shops Cafes… Waves is a nice boutique hotel with modern amenities. Highly recommended!

Property was in a great location. Arrived there a bit early and was told I had to wait till the official check in time - reception didn't even check if the room was ready. Bit disappointing as I'd had a long drive. Pity about the roadworks going on nearby.

Hotel needs to update aircon and needs some refurbishment. Expedia have proved very difficult to work with !

We liked the reception - very welcoming and helpful. The unit was clean and spacious and so comfortable. The outside front area was chipped and mouldy and off putting and so it was a lovely surprise to find the accommodation so good. The coffee, muffin and fruit in the morning was a delightful surprise.

Had a great time, very convenient as close to the beach, shops & good starting point for the walk to the light house.Wish they were pet friendly.

The AC wouldn’t turn on & there is no staff after 7pm in the building

Counter staff were friendly and efficient . The unit was large and in excellent condition. The only issue we had was, the same as what occurs it most units, a good tv was available but the tv was difficult to use and there were no instructions

The bathroom was huge and the bathroom's mirrors were lit up which provided fantastic lighting. The wine tasting in the afternoon and free muffins and fruit in the morning were a nice touch also!

I loved staying at Waves. I felt welcomed right from check in. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The decor was absolutely stunning and the room very spacious, especially the bathroom. Easy walk to the beach and main streets of Byron. Highly recommend. Hope to stay again one day.

Excellent facility, close to everything, very friendly staff, muffins, juice and coffee each morning is a nice touch.

Big comfortable rooms. Only slight concern is the very slippery tiles on shower floor: may have to consider shower mats for elderly clientele.

Very little cutlery readily available to enable a more enjoyable stay. Ensuite/bathroom lacking any usable shelving. Light and fan in Ensuite work in unison making sleeping problematic if someone uses the toilet at night. Noisy fridge. Very friendly staff and comfy surrounds in foyer.

The property is in a great central location.

Unfortunately there was no internet connectivity and very limited drink and milk in the fridge or space to store our own drink and supply.

What a beautiful Hotel, Waves did not disappoint. The hotel is in a great location close to everything you need including the beach. Unfortunately we had to leave one night early due to a family emergency and there was no offer to give us a nights stay credit.

The hotel offers a room to sleep in only. Free muffin and coffee early in the morning 10am checkout-no extensions. The lobby is loverly and the rooms are great. There are many places to eat that are very close

Amazing location, amazing friendly service, gorgeous decor, comfy bedding. We loved our stay at waves and will definitely be back again!!!

I liked all the ‘extras’ - beach towels, chairs and beach umbrellas for use. Freshly baked muffins, fruit, juices and tea and coffee in the lobby daily

Even though it was just a short break I have been here before and would come back again the staff made our stay great as they are helpful and friendly also the room is spacious and clean and close to shops and the beach I’m leaving relaxed and refreshed 👍julie

Excellent Service and very relaxing vibe

The staff were brilliant especially Yuriko on the front desk, we arrived late and wanted additional milk for breakfast and she went away and got a carton for us, she also recommended lots of different restaurants/bars for us and they were all great especially the Greek one 😊. Very well located and very relaxing stay, nothing was too much of a bother for the staff.

Location is second to none. Right on main Beach and near where the action is but still far enough to enjoy some quiet. Slightly dated but tastefully done up,clean and comfortable.
