Overall great little place to stay
Our stay overall was great. A little dirty in some areas of the room. The hot tub in our room was a little dirty, but sooo relaxing. It was quiet and hearing the waves crash was so relaxing. Definitely will be coming back.
Good stay
This is a nice place and good value for the area. It is older, but all places in TR are older. It is CLEAN and was comfortable. We had a poolside room, which is the only thing I would change. There was a bright light shining through our blinds all night and the people talking out in that area made it loud, even though they weren’t being particularly loud. The people above us weren’t doing anything to be loud, but any walking/sounds like running water or the baby next door were very loud. I’d stay again, but in a second story lakeside room. We stayed in winter so didn’t use any of the outside stuff, but this would be a fun place for kids, and our German exchange student said it reminded him of a place he has fond memories of in the Canary Islands.
Love staying here. Friendly staff. The pool and hot tub and bar are wonderful. Only complaint was our rooms floor needed a mopping. Kinda dirty.
The staff was very polite, helpful and friendly and I liked the fact that the property looked out at Lake Michigan but the highway in front of the property was noisy. The paper thin walls made it possible to hear every word the people in the adjoining room were saying, which made us feel unable to speak to each other, lest they hear everything we said. The room was clean but dated. The heating in our room, was very loud and despite the number of times we turned it down, it turned off and on constantly, all night. The hotel has a nice pool and hot tub but you have to leave your room and walk outside to get to it, which is probably alright in the summer but in a Wisconsin winter, it's pretty uncomfortable.
Quiet
This is not a 9.0 property. Maybe a 7. Had a pool and hot tub, but didn’t use them. Staff was very friendly.
Couldn't ask for a better experience
Our room with a view of the lake (and mini golf course) was comfortable and clean, and the gentleman working the front desk went above and beyond. He was super friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered pizza and drinks at the bar in the pool area and he brought them all out to our table or the hot tub while we relaxed. I absolutely recommend Village Inn on the Lake if you're looking for a great place to stay.
Nice location, just across a busy road from the lake. Very friendly check in staff. Clean. Amazing sunrise. Road noise for most of the evening.
Beautiful walk to the beach
Very nice place with excellent service. Small business with a view of Lake Michigan. I highly recommend!
across from Lake michigan, short distance from the lighthouse!
This property wasn't quite what we expected. A few things took away from the overall experience. We were on the second floor and you couldn't get to the stairs without walking quite close to the pool. Floor was usually wet and possibility of getting splashed on. Room was advertised as having a view of the lake, it did not. Large window in our room facing the pool area only had vertical blinds. They were broken and did not close completely. had to throw bed spread over window for privacy.
Pleasantly surprised. Was very clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Brian was very accommodating.
Amazing customer service. Great property along the lake with just simple amenities that make the trip so much better.
Beautiful views. Older property, but clean and friendly staff. Mini golf course and pool/hot tub area were nice!
would HIGHLY RECOMEND this place, was GREAT, will stay here again
Very convenient to Lake MI beaches and area attractions. Nice pool.
Only in the room for 2 min and had bugs crawling up our ankles. Couldn’t change temp on the AC and there was already a dehumidifier running in the room when we walked in.
I loved my stay at the Village Inn. I had a great time watching the Full Moon rise over Lake Michigan from my fabulous lakeview room! The staff - especially Karen, Morgan, and Brian - were all very friendly, helpful and professional. I really enjoyed being close to the Lake, nice beaches, and the Mariners Trail! Thanks for a GREAT experience! See you next time!!
Nice location
Most of the room was cleaned well. An exception -a glider chair in the room was pretty dirty, so we didn’t use it. The mini golf was fun! We brought bikes and loved the bike trail across the street, along Lake Michigan.
All you could need is close by.
Nice stay
Nice room next to the pool. It was a quick stay S we were here for fishing. Up at 4am so didn’t use much of the hotel.
Everything was very good i dont have much for complaints to be honest
Ok for price needs updating
Good Place to Stay in the area
Everything as it appeared on the web. Clean, good service and on Lake Michigan with excellent trails close to both Two Rivers and Manitowoc.
Great place for families and pets.
Perfect place to stay with a dog. Great location, very nice pool with bar area, mini golf onsite. Loved it.
Fun & comfy
Definitely will go back again! Staff is always friendly. You can't get much closer to the beach & the variety of room types/sites is great.
Will fulfill your needs
Everything was as expected. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Not fancy by any means, but clean and hot water on demand, which for me those are the most important things!
Hotel, motel, resort depending on room number
To see the lake from our "Lakeview room" number 206 we had to sit outside on a bench looking across the parking lot. This was nicely shaded by the balcony above. We requested an upper floor room but we were allowed dogs only in the lower level room-which does make for easy in and out. Our dogs were very relaxed there so the room was really clean and did not put our dogs on edge. Rooms are all numbered in the 200s so you don't really know you are getting a first-floor room. The jacuzzi was relaxing in the evening but a noisy group of young adults hung out outside our room and no one answered the front desk phone after 10:30 pm so I had to put on the loud fan to create white noise. The family rooms at the back of the property are newer and much quieter. We were there mid-week and the RV area was quiet. The beach in town was fantastic. Area museums are worth visiting also. Delicious food at Water's Edge.
Wonderful location!
It was such a wonderful stay! The pool was so nice, comfy beds, beautiful beach down the road, I couldn’t have asked for anything more! The staff were so friendly and kind! Mini golf was also so fun! Hubby and I are talking about visiting next year!
Good stay loved the hot tub and pool along with the bar
Great girls weekend!
The room was clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for us three ladies! We had the junior suite, which included an apartment sized fridge and microwave. We were also overlooking the lake, which was gorgeous! They also rent out electric bikes, which I wish we could have done because the trail along the lake was perfect.
Clean and very friendly
Very nice and simple roadside motel. Excellent and friendly service. Very nice pool and hot tub. There is a great separate outdoor area where we enjoyed the late afternoon weather.
Clean and well kept property. It is an older facility so it does not have that bright and shiny state of the art feel but it is well kept with great staff. Its is a solid classic motel venue in a great location.
Dated, but nice place to stay. If I’m back in the area, I’d definitely go back.
Room was clean and property is well maintained. Walls are a bit thin, is easy to hear goings on next door.
It was perfectly located for our needs. The property was adorable and clean with an amazing view of Lake Michigan. Would definitely stay here again for a longer stay!
The service was excellent.
The property is large, clean, neat.
Great!
Excellent little gem. Will definitely be back. Clean and simple.
Nice!
Very nice place to stay very helpful and friendly staff
The room was a sweet. The pool and hot tub were nice. We had ants in our room.
Older style motel with nice pool and hot tub. Lake Michgan right accross the street. Close to downtown Manitowoc. Charged us $15.00 per person for our kids who were not staying with us to use the pool and swim with us.
Will be back!!
Absolutely loved it! Friendly staff. Clean room! Quiet. Across the street from Lake Michigan. Amazing sunrise!
Satisfying stay
We were only there for one night for the Chiefs- Packers game. Place was roomy and clean. Great view of Lake Michigan from our room in the second floor.
Wonderful heated salt water pool! Views of Lake Michigan and path for walking/biking along the lake is right across the street.
It was not busy and was convenient to the business i was involved with.
Up for the Game
The hotel is a little dated. But the size of the rooms is outstanding. The comfort of the bed, was great. It was a real nice Mom and Pop type, hotel. I would recommend you stay here. I will definitely be staying here any time I come up this way again.
Village Inn on the Lake | Home in Two Rivers | Travala.com
We recently stayed at The Village Inn, and while the location is great, our room was not as clean as we would have liked. The floors had dirt and small rocks scattered around, and there was a noticeable trail of dead ants in the bathroom leading to the closet. It also seemed like there was a laundry room nearby, as we could hear some noise from that area. On the positive side, the view of the lake was nice, and it looks like an easy walk in warmer weather. The pool was enjoyable, though the pool towels were quite small. Overall, while the setting is pleasant, the cleanliness of the room could have been better.
