Excellent stay
We stayed at the Villa Raffaello Park for 3 nights. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The hotel was an easy 15 minute drive to Assisi.
Excelente, não perca! Assis é maravilhosa!
Second time I've stayed there and a great experience once again! A
Very welcoming from the minute I arrived to every time I left my room and returned. If you’re looking to feel at home, this is the place. Also, if you like dining at smaller restaurants they have a lot of great options within walking distance.
One rests very well
Villa Raffaello is a great place to stay while exploring Assisi. It is walking distance to restaurants and the beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Assisi is a short ride away. The room was moderately comfortable and clean. It was difficult to get the room cool in July during the heat wave, which would not be a problem in cooler months. The continental breakfast was not especially appealing to us, we limited ourselves to a cappuccino. Very friendly staff.
Like an Italian villa
This hotel was unbelievably clean and fresh the owner/operator was extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Assisi. Walking distance to the city of Assisi.
Perfect Hotel and Location
Great, big room, clean and perfectly located with parking.
A Classic place to stay
Stayed here for 7 nights as a convenient base to visit Assisi and the surrounding hill towns and sites around Umbria. The building is an attractive and classically styled Italian Villa. Rooms are large with high ceilings, shuttered windows modern bathrooms and everything you need for a weeks stay. Well maintained grounds, large secure car park and on a quiet road a short walk from station, buses and a number of good restaurants, bars and a cafe. One minute walk to the Bus stop for Assisi and many more restaurants (don't take a car) with buses every half our and last bus back at 11.00pm. What you don't see till you're here is the care, friendliness and levels of service from the owners and their staff. Probably the best hoteliers we have met whilst on holiday and determined to help you have a good time. Recommended restaurants, booked tables (we don't speak Italian) and emailed suggested routes to download on google maps for navigating in the car. Also emailed us the recipe for an interesting dessert biscuit we had at a restaurant. An excellent base for any visit to Assisi or surrounding towns.
Great place to stay in Assisi
GREAT location, spacious rooms, genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Will always come back
Wold recommend .
Handy location. Safe parking. Nice clean traditional rooms. Large grounds. Could not have been more helpful..answered all our questions making our few days car free and easy.
Best value in Assisi
Lovely family owned and operated hotel within a short walk of the basilica built around the small church where St. Francis lived and preached. Our hosts provided spotlessly clean rooms with comfortable beds and upscale linens, en suite modern bathrooms, generous breakfast with varied offerings. They also advised us on restaurants, sightseeing, and train reservations. In the afternoon we enjoyed cappuccinos and biscuits. In the evening prosecco with snacks. Incredible value and such kind hosts.
Nice hotel, on the quaint side
We stayed here to visit Assisi, and at least out of tourist season we'd recommend staying in Assisi itself. The hotel was very quiet, although we could hear people talking at the front desk as our room was close by. It felt a bit monastic but it was perfectly satisfactory.
Visit Porcincula, and Basilica in Assisi
It was nice and the personnel was extremely courteous and very helpful. I would stay here again.
Perfect Location
This hotel was small, friendly and quiet. It had character and was in a perfect location in the town and good for visiting Assisi. Our room was great and we had an enormous balcony. Easy to find with good car parking. The owner was especially helpful with details of where to park and a walking route through Assisi.
Wonderful hotel in Assisi
Fantastic place to stay to visit Assisi. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, room was large and very nice--wonderful shower. Very convenient to tour Assisi, as there is a bus stop around the corner that will take you to the top, then you can amble on down, seeing the marvelous sights until you get to the basilica of St. Francis. After that, you can take the bus back, or, as we did, take a very pleasant 2 mile walk.
Nice hotel
Friendly staff, room was clean and big, wifi in the room
Cleanliness not consistent
One of the most desirable features of a hotel is its cleanliness and the rest are secondary in my opinion. This hotel needs to exert a greater care to address the rust, dirt and stains at the base of their shower unit. To my absolute surprise and disappointment, when I pointed the offending area to the receptionist, she just said that is no problem it is an easy to clean job but she never offered to have it cleaned or take any steps to address the problem. The shower unit is very small and hard to get into never mind being able to dry yourself in it. The bests are hard and not very comfortable. The breakfast is ok but nothing special to brag about.
Assisi without the crowds
Initially checked in to Room 11 on ground floor and kindly moved to private balcony room 21 for next two nights - thank you. Check in/out quick and easy. All personnel very friendly (as are the owners two lovely children). Rooms spacious, bathrooms OK but showers on the small side. Lots of on site parking. Gardens and wooded area beautiful. Decor and upkeep of hotel first class. Breakfast plentiful and good quality with fresh fruit available and individually prepared coffee of your choice. Safe and hairdryer in room. Lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity (also try the tasty roast pig shops) Would definitely stay here again as the atmosphere and places to see are the same as Assisi less tourists and everything within walking distance from this fabulous hotel.
Nice hotel in the newer part of Assisi
We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable (and air conditioned). The staff was friendly and helpful, and recommended a great restaurant. Breakfast was very nice.
Villa Rafaello
We stayed at Villa Rafaello recently for 6 nights. It was about a 1 block walk to Santa Maria degli Angeli's church which encompases St Francis' original chapel from the 1200's as well as the area he lived and died in. The accomodations in the small hotel (14 rooms) were comfortable and convenient for exploring Umbria. There was ample parking for our car. The last 1 1/2 days took the bus into Assisi. The owners were friendly and gracious and went out of their way to help us.
Perfect room, perfect stay
This was our first experience staying in a small Old-World style hotel in an Italian village, and it was a nearly perfect experience. Our room was immaculate, with one window opening out to a view of the quiet backyard and another opening to a glorious view of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli with Mt. Subasio and Assisi in the background. It was breathtaking. The staff was very helpful, almost all spoke excellent English, and the breakfast was delicious with personal and friendly service. It was spacious (including the private bath), featured free Wi-Fi and air-conditioning, andwas just steps away from the bus-stop for the short ride up to Assisi. Evening activities near the Basilica involved music, great dining, a carousel, and a family atmosphere. When I return to Assisi (not if, WHEN!), this is the only hotel I'll consider. Totally worthy of 5 stars on every count!
Highly recommended.
Very happy customer
Villa Raffaello
We really enjoyed our stay.Welcoming and friendly staff. Ready and willing to help at any time. We highly reccomand it.
Would stay again when in the area
The B&B is a delighful place to stay. We had one of the rooms in the back with a large patio. Unfortunately we were early in the season (March) and the weather was too cool to fully enjoy it. The location is out of the bustle and confusion of Assisi which we found delightful. The town of Santa Maria offers good eating establishments and the bus to Assisi is close to the hotel and it only takes a few minutes to arrive at the very top of the city. Santa Maria is the place where St. Francis actually spent most of his life and has interest for that reason. Parking is available at no charge and the breakfast is adequate, but not outstanding. The owners are helpful and friendly and speak English, if that is a concern. The bedroom is large by any standard and had a king size bed. It is very nicely decorated. The bathroom is adequately large, but the shower is quite small as is typical.
Great Value, Rooms, Location & Parking Included
Really enjoyed the stay. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Located within minutes of bus stop to Assisi. Highly recommended.
Elegant and inexpensive
This small hotel was conveniently located (a short bus ride to Assisi and walking distance to a central historic Church and museum, restaurants). It was beautifully decorated and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was reasonably priced and continental breakfast was included. Parking lot.
Excellente villa.
Nice garden and super kind.
The host could not speak English, but super kind. Nice garden and kind staffs.
Nota 10
Bellissima struttura, personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Colazione ottima
Tutto ottimo, rapporto q/p superlativo
ottimo soggiorno
Top Hotel - Freundliche Besitzer - Beste Qualität
Sehr freundliche Besitzer. Bequeme Betten. Sauberes Bad. Tolle Lage Einfach perfekt. Ein Hotel mit Liebe zum Detail. Jederzeit gerne wieder.
confortevole, pulito,gentilissimi
In generale buona struttura. Un po' rumorosa e colazione scarsa.
soddisfacente
Ottima posizione, facilmente raggiungibile e tranquilla. Camera pulita e personale molto cordiale.
Consigliato!!
Bene , ma manca ancora qualcosa all'eccellenza
Belle camere. Personale gentile. Migliorabile la parte salata della colazione. Senza ascensore.
Ottimo
Qualità e cortesia in un bell'ambiente
Tutto perfetto, spazi ampi parcheggio grande rapporto qualità prezzo notevolissimo
Ambiente elegante e signorile; pulizia molto curata.
Camera nuova, bella e pulita .
