Very nice hotel in central Porto, walkable to all tourist places. We booked a room with balcony. The view from the balcony is fantastic. Breakfast has many selections and the service is top notch. Strongly recommend this hotel.

True 5 star hotel, great location, but two downsides: 1- Our room, despite it's being a spacious upgrade, was very dark because the entire window area was about 2' by 4' with a great view of peoples legs strolling the narrow alley outside. Avoid room 217, should be a storage area. 2- Paid extra for breakfast at booking. It was extremely meager. The second day we just went outside.

Outstanding property in the heart of Porto. Staff extremely friendly, service second to none. Rooms are gorgeous, well appointed, luxurious. Enjoyed a large group (9) dining experience with outstanding menu choices, well prepared, tasted fantastic. A lovely wine list and complete bar. We felt pampered our entire stay. Only one minor suggestion, make room for a second large rolling suitcase. A fun city, we will return & stay again with Casa da Companhia.

3 days in porto

we enjoyed our stay. 2 issues room we were given faced first floor of 2 intersecting streets, thus could not open curtains, when we left, we ask for cab, never came, thus missed our train to Lisbon. was too late when they advised an uber.

Amazing property. First class service accommodations and location. Restaurant served fantastic breakfasts and dinners. Whenever in Porto you must stay here. No question.

This was one of the best hotels my family and O have ever stayed in. Not only our the facilities such (such as the indoor and outdoor pool) incredible, but what makes it special is all the special details they go the extra mile to complete. Every other day we would return to our room and there would be little gifts of postcards, bookmarks and some little snacks. They also run a complimentary port “ritual” with truffles which is not to be missed! 5 star!! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Porto!

Amazing stay, upon arrival till late checkout, staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The only minor downside was the hotel restaurant qas really underwhelming and the service was very poor. Other than that it was a joyful experience and I would recommend it all the way. Their food truck is worth a detour too for a little afternoon snack.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay. Staff couldn’t do more for you. Breakfast was fantastic - huge range, fresh and the daily smoothies were particularly good. Pool area has a great view across the city and is stocked with ice water. Room was quiet and spacious. Hotel was central so location was excellent. Definitely would recommend to anyone coming to Porto.

A very small hotel, a bit too small for me, with the feeling you are being watched. Breakfast was not brilliant for a 5 star hotel. Only one toilet in hotel apart from the bedroom which wasnt always clean.

Architecture, interior design quality of bed linen and amazing staff

What a great location! It's mid-way on the semi-pedestrian Rua das Flores. There's a constant parade in front of the hotel. Restaurants, shopping, buskers in abundance a few feet away. [We ate breakfast nearby instead of in the hotel.] We had dumped our car at the airport. We took an Uber to the hotel, but taking a taxi is better. Cabs have access to Rua das Flores whereas our Uber had to leave us off on a side street instead. If you have much luggage, a taxi is better. Staff was absurdly attentive--learning and using most of our names when we wandered in or out. We loved the small outdoor pool and took breaks there on successive afternoons. You sometimes felt you needed breadcrumbs to follow from your room back to the lobby. A labyrinthe! But the rooms were delightful. We had drinks in the lobby bar and a decent lunch at the hotel restaurant. It was a great cap to our trip to Portugal.

This is a modern hotel built within a historic building in the center of Porto's historic/tourist district. So it has some interesting qualities of both old and new combined together. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Attention to detail was amazing. Room was beautiful overlooking the pool and cathedral. Staff was very helpful and nice.

Amazing hotel. Our family had the best time staying here. Fro checkin to our last days, we were welcomed by staff. The hotel is beautiful and in a very convenient location. Breakfast was wonderful. We love Asia Ingram. She was so friendly and remembered our orders each morning for breakfast. Also our family has the best time relaxing in the indoor pool and sauna room. Great Location, newer property but with traditional charm and excellent service

Fantastic location right in the centre of Porto, and friendly and welcoming staff. We felt right at home, and the rooms were quiet, well equipped and large. Marcio in particular was extremely helpful even before we arrived in making arrangements for travel and dining, and helped once we got there.

Beautifully designed modern hotel centrally located. Breakfast choices were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile. It’s on a pedestrian only street that taxis can access but not Uber.

This is an amazing hotel. We had a room in the modern part which had a balcony overlooking the cathedral. The facilities are outstanding, although the fitness room is a bit small. While located on a busy pedestrian mall, our room faced the other way and was absolutely quiet. The buffet breakfast (included) was the best I have every had. The staff went out of the way to respond to all our needs. They opened up the fitness room two hours early just for me. The only thing that was not perfect was that the room lacked a comfortable chair. There was only a chaise lounge and a seat without a back. However, the staff found a great chair to bring to our room to remedy this issue.

This modernized historic building was located exactly where we wanted to be; that is right on the street (closed to traffic except by permit) to experience sidewalk cafes, local street artist (individual singers; popular music; a jazz musician, and local group performers), and convenience to other things we wanted to do. The staff, from the restaurant, front desk, servers, everyone was just outstanding. It was evident these folks had one thing in mind and that was to ensure guests had a wonderful experience. They have an indoor pool and steam sauna that is very nice. The breakfast buffet was impressive. If you need ice, just call and they'll bring it right up. Taxis and I think Ubers can only take you to the connecting street, but not a long walk. The hotel can get you a cab to the airport and that cab picked us up at the front door at 6 am.

Lovely, lovely tastefully modern hotel, built around preserved old property. Indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam, small gym and massage available after walking your feet off!! and comfy comfy bed to sleep for hours. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Outstanding hotel

Stayed for 3 nights in March. Wonderful hotel, very clean with nice amenities and a wonderful, attentive staff. Great location in close promixity to shops, restaurants and attractions. One of the best hotels that I have stayed at in Europe. Had a large, well appointed room with a private part of the patio just out the french doors of our room with a beautiful view of the pool and cathedral. Would stay here again and again!

Where do I even begin with this review? This hotel and all of its staff exceeded every expectation imaginable. The hotel is gorgeous, in prime location and made what would have been a nice trip to Porto beyond amazing. The rooms, the pools, the breakfast were all fantastic, but above all, we were so touched by the care, attention and generosity of each member of the staff. I am terrible with names, but everyone from Claudia and all of her amazing colleagues have mastered the art of hospitality and all deserve raises. I don’t know when I will have a chance to return to Porto, but I would do it just to stay here again. In my 40 years and almost 40 countries, I never think to leave a review but this place deserves all the praises. Simply put, thank you.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and offered everything you could ask for. The staff were so lovely, helpful and took great pride in their service. The breakfast was healthy, so delicious and generous. The rooms were spacious and stunning. Indoor pool, sauna, gym, & spa were such a treat after a day of sightseeing. Location was ideal for walking to all the sites. Parking was very close and the hotel gave great directions. We would definitely return!

This was the penultimate five star hotel - beautiful common areas, spacious thoughtfully designed rooms, great bathroom, shower and lighting (a rarity in today’s eco conscious lightbulbs) and simply a quiet elegance in the building and staff. This hotel was the definition of five star. Their service was beyond expectations. Our luggage did not make our connecting flight and the staff took over and handled every communication with the airport until our bags were in our room. We did not know our room included breakfast. This buffet was the most beautiful, plentiful one I have ever had. This hotel should run a hospitality school to teach how to run a hotel. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Casa da Companhia and their staff. Don’t even look at other hotels, just book!

Wonderful hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast was outstanding. Hotel was clean and room was beautiful. The only disappointing part was that the room was very dark because the windows were very close to another building, and it could be rather loud from street noise despite being on the sixth floor. However, overall we were pleased.

Gorgeous, relaxing and perfectly situated hotel

From the welcome to the departure, staying at this sympathetically, but gorgeously renovated hotel was wonderful. It is perfectly located right in the historic centre of Porto with everything in walking distance. A massive thank you goes to Claudia, she was great as were all the other staff. Our only feedback is the need for air freshners in the room as well as communal areas, as the cooking from the restaurant can seep into the room. Otherwise a fab stay.
