Wonderful Accommodation!
Clean hotel. Food is not very good
Worst service I've ever had. I can't believe
Excellent stay. Had an amazing time. The only thing I would advise is the buffet at breakfast and dinner seemed repetitive. There was very less vegetarian choices.
We stayed here as a couple for 3 nights specifically attending for a friend's wedding, half board (breakfast & dinner). The hotel itself looks like it's located amongst other nearby hotels/resorts/residential and a beach. We didn't go to the beach as it wasn't private to the hotel and extremely busy, parasols everywhere (we travelled during the summer holiday). Hotel and grounds are large, clean and modern. The venue for the wedding itself was beautifully set amongst the grounds. It's still within earshot of the main swimming pool, but not enough to distract the ceremony. There was a good variety of hot and cold foods for breakfast and dinner. The layout of the food lacked a bit of logic eg. cereals nowhere near milk, bread miles away from a toaster etc. We ate most meals in the hotel, however they could have made an effort to change the decor/ambience a bit, otherwise it's the same large restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive, but could have done more to intro how breakfast and dinner works on arrival to the restaurant. Expect to pay extras when you wouldn't think. There's no iron in the room (so wore a creased shirt to the wedding) and charging you to use the modern gym of the two they have (unless you pay to use the spa). Massages there were good.
Good stay, but...
The hotel was really nice with access to the beach and nice pools to accommodate all ages. It was disappointing that at dinner, which was included in the package, we had to pay for drinks like orange juice, which wasn't even fresh from the fruit but of industrial taste. The food was ok but lacked the traditional Portuguese cuisine, so definitely there are improvements to be done there.
I didn’t like the hotel employees they weren’t that friendly and the breakfast also wasn’t good to b 5* didn’t have much food variety. Too bad! I regret expending all that money there, plus the Italian restaurant they were so rude with us, because the food i asked for spaghetti carbonara was too salty ! Honestly the worst hotel experience I have had in my entire life !!!
Overall the stay was good.
We specially loved the 5 mins walk to the beach! The diferent pools for adults and kids different ages, activities for the kids. The food was outstanding too. Last but not the least the staff service was expectional, particularly I woukd like to thank to Neuza Mendez (I hope I remember her name right) she was really good with us in the restaurant taking into account my daughter dietary requirements and Vanessa who was the lady in charge of the kids activities, always finding a way to engage with them and ensuring they participated in the activities. Thanks to both of you specially, you made our staying even more pleasant.
Staff were fantastic. A nice finish to a hectic tour through Porto, Évora, Coimbra, Óbidos, etc. Very relaxing...
No water in room only the first day, half board food was awful, didn’t give upgrade unless if I was willing to pay as gold Accunt holder they advertised free upgrade, they charge for sauna and Gym never seen that before.
Our stay at VidaMar
Overall we gave a 4 out of 5. 1. Room - On the first evening, our superior room air condition/AC was not working and we had ants in the room. We spent few hrs trying to get this issue sorted and then the duty manager Elia gave us an upgrade to a club room. The views from our previous room were spectacular, the club room view was not that good and we could see the large metal roof of from our balcony. We accepted this, as the hotel was full. We got free spa access which came with the upgrade. I am glad they tried to fix the problem for us and we had a room change. But we lost one whole evening of stay to this. 2. Breakfast - The breakfast was ok, coffee from machine was terrible and there was no option to order coffee, the hostess declined this request. The milk had lots of water. Juices were not fresh, they tasted like sugary canned juice. 3. Beach and Spa - beach is nearby, easily accessible. Spa facilities were superb! We used the sauna jacuzzi and pool everyday.
The all inclusive food was absolutely awful. The hot food was mostly cold. Most of the main courses were so tough or overdone that they could not be chewed. Only the salads, fruits and desserts were edible.
Very nice
A very nice resort. The only downside was the dinner buffets which were hit and miss from the kitchen.
Excellent place. Rated
We travelled with our 7 month old for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the area. Staff were warm, welcoming and super helpful with every interaction (esp Neuza and the other dining room staff). The room was ample in size with a very nice cosy but quiet feel which was great. The hotel grounds are lovely, especially when you wander outback past the pools and take a walk down to the beach along the boardwalk. The beach itself was just ideal, quiet, beautiful clean sand and clear water. The hotel also provides towels by the pool for you to use. The access to the beach is also very well considered as only hotel guests with a key card can exit through some gates to reach the beach. For a young family, this made a lot of sense. In terms of facilities, there's a nice small gym 24/7 free for use and for the more avid gym goers and more substantial gym with powerlifting equipment etc for 10 euros a day. The spa itself was really nice and is only 20 euros for 3 hours which I clufes access to a private pool, sauna, steam room, ice bucket and jacuzzi. This is free for anyone who books a massage too. Outside of this, there is a separate indoor heated pool which is free for all guests to use and very well sized. The breakfast buffet was great for us as vegetarians and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner was also good however ony a few nights, perhaps a more substantial vegetarian main dish would have been great. Aside from this, we enjoyed our meals in the hotel.
The property was very well maintained, with a great position walking distance from a beautiful beach. The hotel never felt crowded, so the facilities were easy to use. Great indoor and outdoor pools. Lots of variety at breakfast and dinner and the quality was better than i expected. Special mention to Mo in the restaurant, superb customer service, the man really knows his stuff. Great spot for a spring break.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Really good facilities. The parking was sometimes full.
Great location! Outstanding Portugal hospitality and customer service!
Great property, perfect location! Great customer service!
Amazing once again
We have stayed at the Vidamar on many occasions and it never fails to impress. Always spotlessly clean and the choice of food available at both breakfast and dinner are excellent. We will definitely be back!!
If Ryanair Did 5 Star Hotels! That's probably a little unfair to the Ryanair of today though,as they seem to be behaving a lot better nowadays. I'm referring to the Ryanair of yesteryear where they fleeced you with fine print and the the staff had this 'take it or leave it' attitude. My daughter had an emergency appendectomy on holiday. she was really struggling to walk. the hotel kindly loaned her a wheelchair to use. hours later there was a billing query which admittedly was my fault, but I rectified it and that was the end of the story on my part. it seemed like seconds later they where at my room to take the wheelchair back with smug suggestions on where one could be rented for our stay. silly story i suppose, but indicative of the the kind of spiteful, vindictive atmosphere cultivated in this place. there are better places and far cheaper. a real pity as the the location is awesome
I think the best part of the property is the surrounding nature. Beach is 5 min walk and palm trees all around and there is usually a good breeze.
The fact that it was close to the beach was great. The food at the buffet was really good. My overall comments are great except for the fact that the cleaning of the room was not great: I put the card asking to change the bed and they did not do it. Twice they forgot to clean the sink, there was still toothpaste. And the 2 glasses they leave in the room were never cleaned. But overall, I would recommend this hotel big time.
Very clean and quiet
To be very Honest leaving it , Any questions to reception was met with No , the lounge area was the actual reception area , they had a trumpet player and disco music around the pool when the average age of people must have been 50 Food was cold and unexciting sorry to say every extra cost €50 per person , this is the first so called 5* Hotel booked on Expedia that has been awful surprised it on there books
Very nice resort. Great facilities and staff. Only disappointed that they don’t even serve water at dinner. You have to pay for all drinks, which is fine but they should at least provide water without having to pay for it.
Nice place , sadly no where do go in the evening as the only place they keep open is the reception bar , which has no personality at all . Rooms are nice and well equipped, they have a adults only pool and area but charge a Wopping €25 a day extra personally just a rip off
Amazing family trip ❤️
Hotel is amazing....extremely clean and with very spacious rooms...and in a lovely location. The walkway to beach is beautiful. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and work tirelessly. Our twin boys loved it here and we cannot wait to retun. Thankyou
A fantastic short break, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, will definitely be returning.
Beautiful stay in Salgados
Hotel was stunning, pictures don’t do justice! Was given a ground floor room which wasnt ideal. Food was pretty decent but water should be included in the price also. Beach is a stone throw away which is ideal also. Will defo return in the summer when the pool bar is open.
Almost everything: The staff, the cleanliness of the hotel, the cleanliness of the restaurant, the cleaning of the room, the agressiveness of the staff, the over-charging of the accommodation, and it is very far and isolated. It is alo outdated and tatty!
An amazing experience. Food was of a really high standard and plentiful. The hotel was clean and waiting staff were amazing. Could not fault the whole experience.
Pleasant surprise
VidaMar Located on SalgadoFaro, It is a breathtaking paradise.embracing the Atlantic with lots of Palmtrees. I definetly would like to visit in the near future again. Pros Big property, the Palm trees, Rooms have enough space for 3person wide and spacious.the pool is super big, walking trail to the beach makes a great experience etc.. The "Price Wise" is not very budget friendly, but not super expensive either.considering the facilities and services given I would say its Fair price. "The breakfast"is wonderful. The variety is huge my thanks to Brazilian staff( waiters and security guard) friendliest people ever. Cons Watch out for the bearded man in dark bluesuit on the reception.he is not friendly! Luri Silva, you need extra trainings to learn how to treat customers in positive way I wrote this here not because You did not upgrade Our rooms to pool side when the hotel was almost empty! I am writing this because I dont like negative energies around while I am on the vacation.Anyway thanks to Your colleagues they were super nice treated US in such a nice manners, especially the extremly nice lady who did our check out. If you have "Mobility issues" or dont' like walking this hotel is not for you. The things are spread and requires good walking distances to the golf course, the pool, and the beach. Half board option is not bad,but during the dinner at least "The Water" suppose to be served for free of charge! Also variety options for dinner can be improve.
NOT a 5* hotel!!
This is definitely NOT a 5* hotel. From the 70’s styled dingy lobby, rooms and corridors to the awful buffet breakfast restaurant, this hotel is a real let down. Having stayed in luxury hotels all over the world, whoever rated this hotel got it badly wrong. The swimming pool and nearby beach are the only decent things about this venue. The onsite Italian restaurant, PrimaDonna, was truly awful. Food not cooked fresh on-site, must have been frozen or shipped in pre-packaged. The constant noise and disturbance from almost daily weddings means little sleep if you go to bed before 12pm.
Paradise in Portugal!
We recently stayed at VidaMar on a family vacation and it was truly paradise in Portugal! The entire staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful; they cared for us like friends. The breakfast buffet was expansive and included something for everyone. Housekeeping staff were kind, professional and ensured a spotless room each day. The pool is beautiful and there were plenty of lounge chairs. There is a long wooden boardwalk through nature areas for walking/running and bird watching. The beach is beautiful and family-friendly. The hotel is located in a quieter part of Albufeira but is a short taxi/Uber ride to ZooMarine, the Albufeira marina, and Old Town. For us, the location was ideal and the perfect spot to relax, soak up sun, and explore. We highly recommend VidaMar and hope to be back again one day soon!
👍
This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, more like a 4 star. Good points: - Clean - Large bedrooms - Very good breakfast buffet, lots of choice - Close to the beach, short walk with a wooded pathway - Shop in the hotel and also another close by, it's a 5-10 minute walk away and much cheaper - Good kids pools - Lots of lovely kind staff - Comfortable large bed Bad points: - Little to no entertainment, there is a man or woman who plays or sings piano in the reception / bar area in the evening and that is all. - There is nowhere to sit outside in the evening with friends to enjoy a drink unless you're in the restaurant having the buffet dinner but you're given a set amount of time to stay. - The swim up bar is closed, indefinitely which we were not advised of until we asked why it wasn't open. - The food choice during the day is limited, there is only one restaurant / bar outside by the pool open between 10.30 and 1900 but the food choice is limited. - No play park or play area outside for kids. - Poor buffet in the evening, lots of seafood options but not much else and ordering drinks becomes a chore, you need to wait for someone to come with a piece of paper with your room number which needs signed each time you order a drink - You have to stand in a queue to get a fried egg cooked for you in the morning rather than having these readily available like the scrambled egg - 20euro fee for replacement towel card. - Balcony was dirty and had smashed tiles on the floor - Room
Excellent resort. Spectacular beach. Would be nice if the hotel provided reserved chairs for guests on the beach rather than having to rent through a private company, given the priciness of the resort. Great pool, nice breakfast, excellent service.
Well earned R & R
Lovely break, amazing hotel & weather
Beautiful place, clean, staff friendly. Whish I had stayed longer....Will be coming back 😊
More 4 star than 5 star hotel
We stayed at the resort 4 nights. Great location and nice walk to the beach. We had a few issues with the reception staff. When we asked for the manager, the issues were resolved. When booking for the stay we were are not aware that only 2 the restaurant was open. At lunch time the nespresso cafe was open . But limited options on menu. The evening buffet and breakfast was adequate but not of a 5 star standard. The crepes in the morning was tasty and freshly made. Pools outdoor not heated. Rooms were clean and spacious. A few shopsand restaurants around hotel.
Wedding celebrations
The rooms in this hotel are lovely and the showers are especially fabulous. The beach is amazing and all of the pools we used were clean with an excellent towel service. Breakfast was really nice and well organised. Because it was out of season when we went it was not easy to get snacks as sometime the pool bar was closed. Evening meals in the main restaurant were ok but not the best I have had and in the small restaurants the service and food was not the best. The only place to get drinks in the evening was the reception bar which destroyed the atmosphere somewhat and the bar closed at midnight. There was a nasty smell at the doors leading out to the pool which was a bit off putting. The stadf did an amazing job for the wedding day and made it really special dispite the rain.
Loved the location
Good stay with room to improve.
The service was great and good buffet selection. The pool was beautiful and the hotel itself was modern. Negative points include being charged for still water to the room, no ironing board being included with the room, and there only being 2 restaurants open during our stay. Also, the Italian restaurant needs to have clearly labelled allergy information as it is very unclear.
Have stayed at this hotel many times and it never fails to impress. Unfortunately on this occasion our trip was cancelled with the Coronavirus pandemic. I hope all the staff have stayed safe during this difficult time. We will be back when we can!
This was our fourth visit in October half-term holiday. It has nice rooms and generally good facilities, breakfast is great. We kept coming back as the kids loved the heated outdoor pool and the atmosphere it created with families playing together. Unfortunately this year the heating was switched off so it was a bit desolate. Kids were disappointed. The hotel had clearly switched into winter mode and was focussed on the conferences that were taking place rather than holidaymakers. No outdoor heated pool, no ice cream for the kids at dinnertime, less choice in the restaurant, areas reserved for conference delegates etc. Also some of the smaller details that made a difference before have either disappeared or now incurr a charge. So I'm afraid we will be looking elsewhere this year.
We stayed over Christmas week. Its pretty much boring for our kids as all the fun parks are closed during winter. We had half-board so our review... Dining: breakfast buffet = 4, dinner buffet = 3, atmosphere = 3, cleanliness = 5. Well-run buffet, clean but we felt like we were eating in a school canteen. Rooms: space = 5, bed = 4, daily room service = 4, cleanliness = 3. Good big comfortable room albeit slightly old, bed was softer than our preference, good daily room service where we had new towels (and looks like sheets too) everyday. Nice but unnecessary. Shower was not clean and had mould around the tiles. Over all facilities and location is good. Good supermarket down the road. But I felt we got lost as a number. The hotel can hold 1200 guests! Special thanks to Neuza and Richardo for making our stay more comfortable! If it weren't for them, I would have lowered my rating for this hotel.
Christmas at VidaMar Algave
The hotel is clean, modern and perfectly located near the beach and close to a golf course. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We were here for Christmas 2019 and had excellent weather (high 60’s). Not all the facilities in the hotel were available as it was out of season. The indoor pool was very popular with families. The outdoor pools looked great but, unless you are an experienced open water swimmer, I would not recommend jumping in at that time of year. The staff were friendly and the food options were restricted to a large buffet for both breakfast and dinner. The quality of the food was great excellent and they provided a Christmas themed buffet on the 24th for no extra charge. There was plenty of parking and I’d recommend hiring a car as the hotel is a little isolated. Our extended family want to join us for Christmas there next year!
Clean well run property with helpful staff.near excellent beach. Spa excellent
Must say this hotel has gone down hill fast !!!! I emailed hotel to explain I was only staying 5 nights instead of 6 and also to supply Flowers for my wife who was celebrating her birthday and our wedding anniversary... But alas hotel said that Expedia was to refund extra day and Expedia said Hotel was to refund??????? Also on arrival when I asked Bell boy on reception about flowers that I ordered to the value of 50Euros which I was paying for as in previous visits !!! But bell boy said there are no flowers and if was not happy to fill in questionair !!!! I was furious as this has now ruined my surprise for my wife and then to find that the meal arrangements had changed drasticly and was told of alternative which we were then told was fully booked and we were on half board … We then got into a restauraunt which I wish we had not gone into as this was dreadful like all food during our stay. What ever happened to ''ROMANTIC HOTEL WITH SUPER FOOD'' ?????? Gone forever. STAY AWAY IS MY ADVICE !!!!!!
Its a average hotel. Not a 5 star at all. Reception staff not everyone is helpful, Cleaning staff you have to ask everyday to get fresh towels and clean the room. Putting sign out doesn't mean anything. Staff in restaurant are helpful. Breakfast is repetitive. Dinner, hot counter for meat eaters but not for veg. Do not take HOP ON HOP OFF Tour bus its complete waste of money.
We had the best stay at Vida Mar. The best thing was the staff and their attentive and friendly manner. Specially, I have to mention, Ana the front office manager, Ana at customer service, Beatrize at the buffet restaurent and Vandersen at the Sunset Bar. You made our stay extremely enjoyable one. The beach was beautiful and the hotel was spotless clean. Everything was perfect. Just the pool was a little too cold. Thanks Vida Mar for a wonderful experience.
Great spa offers, nice pools, perfect location for beach holidays. What I didn’t like that there is no flexibility in late checkout at all. It’s my fifth stay in these resorts and it was never available no matter how busy or empty hotel is. This so called “VIP” status at the hotel means nothing. Also given cheapest room available facing car park. Not sure why it is sold as VIP hotel.
Excelentes espaços exteriores. Quartos pouco atractivos para hotel 5*. Péssima animação.
Good large clean rooms with safe, kettle and good wifi available. Nice big bed (2 large singles pushed together made up to double) with good quality sheets. Large walk in shower and open plan bathroom backing onto the room with wall to divide. A bit corporate looking and a lot of 'brown', decor looks a bit dated, not to my personal taste but perfectly spacious, clean and adequate with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Balcony large and a great asset. Fabulous huge outdoor pool with ample sunbeds and other (additional charge) private pool lounging areas. Nice location close to the beach. Indoor pool spa and gym. Good choice of restaurants and friendly staff especially in Aji. Reception staff helpful, not quite so friendly but very busy. Negatives: The area immediately outside the property is quite dirty full of debris and rubbish it gives a wrong first impression as inside is spotless. If you don't like very large busy complex type hotels this may not be for you. Have previously stayed in their private villas which are not as well maintained as the hotel so overall would definitely return to the hotel again (not the villa).
easy checkin, friendly staff, very clean, modern, great amenities, beautiful property and location. great restaurants nearby.
It is a great place for families! Food is excellent!!
Great big pool. Close to great beach bar Os Salgados and nice beach.
Excellent location, good facilities. Unfortunately, the staff would be totally inadequate for a 3 star hotel, let alone a 5 star one, completely unprepared to serve clients. The pool area is excellent. However, the staff there is rude, from the towels booth to the coordinator, who for several times cursed when talking to co-workers in front of young kids... The maintenance is ok. Could be better but it’s still not an issue since the facilities are quite new. The buffet restaurant, even though it’s variety and very efficient replenishment lacks quality and organization. The food is tasteless, the staff has absolutely no idea how to wait tables and the show cooking area is a totally mess. You hear comments between the staff saying “don’t exaggerate on the goods. This needs to last for the whole evening...” The options to eat during the day are very limited, which is an issue accounting for the lack of offer on the surrounding area. The activities offered are almost nonexistent, not consistent with the hotel stars, which is also applicable to the kids club, very unorganized.
Even in the high season we can easily rest. Very near to the beach and a great swimming pool
Family trip - 2nd stay
Overall very good, clean, perfect pool and excellent beach. Food is pretty good and usually something for everyone. Can get busy but better than most family buffet dining. Good WiFi. Hotel has a feeling of space and feels more remote with the beach just a stroll away. beach is excellent and again with lots of space and no other hotels nearby. There are apartments near by overall a great spot. Have visited twice now and that says it all. Reception staff generally not as friendly as others but overall an excellent clean and reliable hotel. Small gym and excellent spa and indoor pool (for adults) outside Pool has a new Adult only area with superb beds, this area is very quiet.
Staff is amazing, service as well. Pool is great but a bit crowded during the afternoon. The rest is excelent
Nice but with a few minor complaints
Very nice hotel, room very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was really good but the evening meal was very limited on choice. Drinks were expensive. We did have an issue with being ignored at the bar and had to return to our room for a drink which we had brought from the supermarket. I did complain to the manger he said he would look into it but we never had any comeback. There was a huge amount of Portuguese families and couples there and some we found to be very rude which was surprising as we have never encountered that before. One more negative was that our room was not cleaned and tea and coffee replenished so had to go without one morning. But overall a nice hotel with just a few hiccups.
Great food, good service and beach access
Well kept hotel with clean rooms, good facilities, nice food and great service. We had a very pleasant stay there.
Not a 5 star resort! Rude staff and unwilling to help with anything beyond checking in and out. The rooms were cleaned to a half decent standard however every day there were no clean towels left despite the used towels being removed. The lack of service really made it an unpleasant stay. The hotel was also understaffed and a corporate event took precedence over the guests at dinner where we were not asked for drinks after being made to wait 15 munites for a table. The food is average at best, no variety and the quality is poor. When asked for a late checkout 2 days before our last day, we were told it was impossible and if we were to be late we would be fined €50, we could use the spa to change but it would cost €10 euros per person! It looks like a great resort, but beneath it falls very short of a 5 star.
Wonderful Resort
It was an amazing holiday! We enjoyed very much in VidaMar Resort. Room was clean, good enough for 4 people. Nice View and wonderful for relaxation. 3 outdoors pools catered for grow up, kids and babies. A nice beach was just within a few minutes walk. Foods were delicious. Should return.
Like: Very nice public beach - 5 stars Very nice room - spacious and modern Dont like: -Buffet quality is very poor, too crowded and no a la carte option for breakfast -Smell of the excrements in front of the main pool and entrace for 3 days in a row and nobody cared about it.
Perfect Resort Holiday
We loved it!!
Lovely setting, staff were excellent apart from not honouring a voucher for lunch, which they issued! Onsite shop very small. Outside balcony lights seemed to be on a timer, as we couldn't switch them off at night and as a result, there were lots and lots of mosquitoes on the walls in the morning. Had a lovely stay, very very clean, good food and facilities.
100% relaxation
It was great located, close to the beach and quiet location. We got upgraded to a sea view room. Rooms are massive and very comfy. The service was professional and friendly.
Everything very good; food, swimming pools, location except for the gym which is too small
Excellent, modern well run hotel.
Hotel was exceptional, modern, clean and great staff and massive rooms, showers also were fantastic. 2 negatives, they give you 1 free bottle of water on the first night but there after is €3.5 for 75cl, surely they could give 1 bottle per day? Other negative is that it is not really walking distance to anywhere but saying that taxis are plenty and you never wait long so overall had a great stay and would go back.
For a 5 star food was really average wouldn't go back
The food was varied but the quality was disappointing. We needed breakfast on our last day at 7 a.m. and were told that we would have to pay for room service. We were not confident that this would be reliable so left without any. Our room was clean and spacious.
Lovely resort with all the amenities you could ask for
Lovely beach close by, nice pools. Rooms OK but not soundproof. Food average, fruits like strawberries served unwashed, seen some moulded raspberry right in front of chef who had to be told to sort it out. Lack of food hygiene. Front desk polite but doesn’t understand good customer service. Couldn’t extend check out even by 30min in empty hotel due to “policy”. Rubbish. No VIP benefits despite advertising.
Our third visit to this hotel and it never fails to impress. Breakfast and dinner buffets exceptional with different options each time, only downside was trying not to eat too much!! Staff at checkin and throughout our stay very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday, if your looking for somewhere lively this is not the place.
One has to think to find anything negative about this resort hotel. The meals are outstanding for both the half board breakfast and dinner. The buffets vary for dinner and have a theme each day. Particularly in the area of meat and fish, there is large choice. A great salad bar, and multiple cold desserts. The rooms are large and comfy, with a great shower. Beds are superb, with fine pillows. One small complaint is with the sofa which seems to have shoddy materials which were peeling away, risking bits being swallowed by our grandchildren crawling around our room. They also need a few more towel hooks near the shower and sink. Small grievances indeed.
Nice hotel, check in is at 3pm not 24 hour as stated. Overall pretty good. Service isn't the best on the reception desk but everywhere else is ok. The food is decent but not much choice for younger children.
Fabulous hotel!
Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Attention to detail, great rooms and an excellent Half Board Option - great for kids and staff always very attentive
Excellent staff, attentive at all times and go out their way to maek you feel comfortable - will stay again and again with
Wonderful place with wonderful service. Room was awesome and clean. Breakfast was really good with great selection and quality food. Will visit again.
Lovely hotel. Very good spa. Beds were Uncomfortable
Magical Christmas & New Year stay!
Our first time in this hotel - truly amazing! We visit the Algarve on holiday every year but Christmas & New Year was magical. Brilliant location - amazing walks along the boardwalk, beaches and bird walk. All staff were so helpful, friendly and smart. Half board included our breakfast and dinner - food was delicious! Brilliant variety and a different theme for dinner every evening. Daily cleaning of the room which was great. Rooms were comfortable, warm, spacious - everything you can want. Christmas Eve dinner was fantastic - champagne reception, amazing dinner, entertainment and Santa! New Years Eve - another great event with a champagne reception, dinner, entertainment, fireworks! Definitely will be returning!
Lovely hotel, buffet restaurant was excellent with good range of freshly cooked hot food (and cold). Staff were both friendly and helpful. Cocktails were super!! Disappointed with the Mamma Mia restaurant though, service was slow even though there were only a few customers and the restaurant its self was very cold.
Very nice hotel and friendly staff .. kids really enjoyed the kids club.. excellent location close to the sandy beach
Lovely hotel, lovely area, really nice, would return. The room was big and the bathroom was nice, hotel room was cleaned daily and it was very comfortable. The breakfast was great, lots of choice and good for everyone, the dinner lacked flavour, my partner was always disappointed, everything was edible and lots of choice, but nothing amazing, we craved a good meal when we returned to London, the ice cream bar with all the toppings was the best bit. The shuttle bus to the town is convenient, the pool is great and the beach close by is even better. The gym was a let down, not much free space, 3 cardio machines and 2 weight machines, free weights but not space to do your own thing, didn't visit the indoor pool but looked good. It certainly is a nice hotel, felt safe and relaxed there and great grounds to walk around and explore.
Second visit to this lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms with nightly turndown service. Half board dining very good with something to suit everyone. Breakfast was amazing, especially the omelette station. Overall a pleasant stay.
Nice hotel, a bit out if the way and not much to do in the area, but a lovely place if you’re looking for for relaxation. The staff were nice but looked unhappy and very rarely smiled. The buffet was okay, a nice a choice of food but the layout wasn’t the most logical. Overall a nice hotel, but not sure the location was for me. The highlight of the holiday was tasting the best sushi at the Aji Oriental Restaurant within the hotel, food was delicious and the owner is very friendly.
good food ,grate shower, comfortable bed and a quirt room
Staff was very friendly. Great service. Gave us a breakfast basket when we left at 2am.
Lovely hotel, short stroll to the beach. Three pools including an indoor. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Decent variety at breakfast and dinner. Would definitely go back.
Highly recommended 5*
Absolutely amazing place, highly recommended. The staff are so helpful, the place is so accommodating for children and adults. Food was lovely. Everything on site you need
Need to improve on the service.
Hotel was nice but the service was so slow. Dinner was always a long quint process.
Very nice hotel with excellent acomodation and near to the beach.
When we arrived there was confussion about our booking. We had requested 2 rooms next to each other but when we went to check in we were told we would be in another building. Even though this was sorted we did not have rooms right next door which we needed as we had children and wanted them to have freedom. As half board guests we would have hoped we would have gotten atleast water free if not one round if non alcoholic drinks free.
Good quality hotel
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Goid faciliites. Half board good value with a number of beach restaurants nearby if you want a bteak from the hotel meals. Generally the staff try to help but sometimes minor issues drag on a bit before being resolved. Rooms comfortable and well equipped although if you have relatively noisy neighbours you would know about it.
