Nice property. The breakfast is amazing.
Felt like a resort. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner options were good. Swimming pool was really nice but cool (not heated). However they have a smaller heated pool as an option. Very nice property. Room and beds were very comfortable. Great value! Highly recommend this hotel.
THE HOTEL IS NICE, BUT ITS MAINLY PENSIONERS AND THERES NOT A GREAT SELECTION OF FOOD AND THE FOOD PROVIDED IS BASIC.
Beautiful property away from the city just enough to provide a quiet night of sleep. The pool side restaurant was great for breakfast.
This property was amazing! Staff was fantastic as well. We were upgraded to a Villa upon arrival and it was incredible! Pools were beautiful and the buffet was excellent! I can’t say enough about this hotel. Great job ,thank you for your hospitality ☺️
Property grounds were pretty. Breakfast was nice. We had ants and no electrical outlet in our bathroom. The outlets in the room were hard to access. When I plugged in my phone charger block, I had to keep my bed 4” from the wall. I had to go to the “spa” after 10 am in the morning if I wanted to do my hair due to no power in the bathroom and no mirrors anywhere else. Spa was very dark and dingy. Didn’t look anything like a spa to me. Front desk staff not very helpful and our friend’s room had no air conditioning. They moved them to a new room on the second day after they had a night of no sleep.
Such a beautiful property this hotel is on !
Beautiful hotel … great for relaxing … pity they don’t have a better fitness room
My wife and I booked our stay here because of the proximity to all the spots we wanted to hit in Algarve without being in the middle of the madness. Upon arrival the luxurious look and feel to the property surprised us, specially considering how affordable it was. The staff was super friendly, polite and helpful. The included breakfast buffet was outstanding, with options for even the pickiest eater. They also offer a dinner buffet every night for €30 that was spectacular, different offerings every night and delicious dessert options too. The Common areas were well maintained, large pool, gardens and multiple areas to relax and sun bathe. This place has it all. We will be coming back and will happily recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay in Algarve.
There was a calm essence to the property I would highly recommend staying in the rooms on the floor of the reception by the atrium. Rita was incredible and made us feel right at home. Loved the eco friendly atmosphere as well. Overall a great stay!!
Very nice place
Great stay
Lovely breakfast, swimming pool and a garden.
The front desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfasts were excellent as was the food service staff. The showers need upgrading and our room air conditioning didn’t work well. Pool was nice.
Booked to go back!
Perfect holiday - everything about it was amazing. Lovely accommodation Great Staff Great pool

Positive feedback
My stay was really good. Very attentive and professional staff. Always with a smile The food was a disappointment. We could do with some trays, the big pots where the hot food was kept it was not that easy to use. Breakfast choices were fine. Tea choices were quite limited, fish with bones, meat was hard.
Lovely hotel in a quiet area but easy accessible to resorts in either an Uber (very cheap) own car or even the hotel’s shuttle bus. Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast and no fighting for sun beds at the pool even at high season! Would recommend for a peaceful, stress free holiday.
Such a great place to stay, breakfast fabulous and close to attraction Benagil
An excellent place to stay in the Algarve. Short drive to everything. The staff is incredible! Upgraded us to a villa when we arrived and the included breakfast buffet is fantastic
Lovely hotel food and staff were amazing. Great for a quiet relaxing holiday. Obly let down was the gym. Barely any equipment and the one cardio machine they had didn't work.
We was very happy with our staying.
Safe property. Liked that there was a shuttle into town. Clean.
great staff very good breakfast good value for money.
Beautiful grounds and very clean rooms
Really nice hotel, clean and friendly. Had a surprise birthday gift. Good location.
very good for the price
The wifi was intermittent, but the location was great If you have a car
Beautiful, reasonably priced, kind, and great atmosphere
A beautiful hotel and villas on a resort setting. 10 minute drive to beaches. The hotel does provide a shuttle service to the closest beach. Staff was very helpful and service was exceptional. The included breakfast buffet was always well laid out. The only downside was limited dining options for dinner, as the nightly buffet did not always offer food items that we would have chosen. However, there are restaurants a short drive away. We would definitely return to this hotel.
Very nice place to spend a few days...
We stayed in a house near the 'warm pool'. The accommodation was lovely and much bigger than we expected with living/dining room, kitchen (with washing machine which was super handy!), and 2 bedrooms with en-suites and balconies with views over the small pool upstairs. (The main TV in the living room was very big too which was nice too). Breakfast at the hotel was very good with a wide selection of food and drink - unfortunately we didn't get to try dinner there though. The hotel is a bit out of town so having a car is definitely helpful (but I understand they do provide a free shuttle to Carvoeira beach a few times a day). Bring a bit out of town means the hotel is spacious and the grounds are lovely with lots of plants and flowers and a wide variety of birds that visit the grounds. All in all, a very nicely done hotel which is a pleasure to stay in. The hotel also has a good policy of offering vouchers towards the restaurants on exchange for a reduced cleaning service to save water /changing towels and sheets etc. FAMILIES BE AWARE - we booked this hotel specifically because it says it has a free kids club, but on arrival we were told it wasn't busy enough so there was no kids club at all (we were there mid to end of May).
Easter 2023
Excellent stay!
The hospitality and the conduct of all members of staff were of a very high standard which only added to this wonderful, secluded hotel. Transport was offered throughout the day to a nearby beach and restaurant area, free of charge. The amenities, especially the spa were excellent. breakfast well provided and a wide variety.
Beautiful property with excellent staff!
The hotel is located in a very peaceful setting around 10 minutes by car to the centre of Carvoeiro. Amazing views, enjoyed from a lovely large suite as was upgraded on my arrival . Breakfast was included and a delight along with the occasional evening meal ,with a nice glass of red. Will definitely be going back, thank you all .
Excellent customer service
We enjoyed our stay. It was quite as it just reopened and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and we would love to go back to have their home made yogurt with honey again! After visiting various touristic places, we were able to enjoy and relax in the sauna. We would like to thank everyone there who made our stay enjoyable and memorable.
Great place to stay for our lat time in Portugal. Beatriz was knowledge and so helpful.
Beautiful hotel. Stuff was amazing. Room was very clean. Very close to 7 hanging valleys. I would highly recommend it.
Friendly staff. I would have liked tootbrush, tootpaste and lotion in the bathroom
Property was excellent. This is the second time we came as we were so impressed the first time. Loses a few marks compared to the first time as they no longer offer a welcoming drink and charge you for conditioner and body wash which used to (and should be standard) at this level of hotel. We were also looking forward to the vegetable garden that they used to have which no longer exists. They need to fix their gym equipment. That being said the rooms were excellent. The grounds and pool were excellent and so was the breakfast. Location is perfect. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel but would like to see the above improvements.
One of the BEST Experiences in a long time. The Staff was Amazing. The parking is a plus, the facilities, the food, the Sangria, everything about the hotel is EXCELLENT the room was GREAT, and the price Unbeatable, you couldn't ask for more! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer :( If we could we would add more stars. This is a Great pleace to stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A beautiful hotel
An excellent hotel with a very good breakfast. The area of this resort is beautiful.
Wasn’t sure how it’d be considering the current Covid-19 situation but everything was good. The staff were vigilant with cleaning. The breakfast wasn’t buffet but was still very good. It was all taken to your table & plenty to eat. The hotel is a little out in the countryside but everything was only a 10 minute drive away so you would need a car. We had a great time & would stay again if we came to the area.
good setting, lovely grounds , staff very helpful , good room , suite spacious and worth the extra . Food ok
We were pleasantly surprised. This gem of a property and its staff made us feel as though we were in heaven for a few days. Bruno, Raquel, Andre, Diana and Daniel couldn't be thanked enough. All were kind resourceful, helpful and a credit to their country and employer. We will be back!
Staff including manager Jose, Andrea, Raquel, Ann, Bruno and young dark skin waiter very polite person they are great. breakfast , room it is the best things there even if the breakfast doesn't have much selection but much better than the dinner, Dinner was the worse dinner I ever had in my life and as A chef they don't know what they are cooking , they offer sirloin steak on the menu and they serve tiny veal scaloppine from the kids menu instead, I ask the waiter if I can have it medium rare and for sure no way you can have scallopini medium rare and when I mention to him the different in taste and colour he still telling me it is sirloin. waiter Michael doesn't know what his serving and no knolowdge about, also he have some ignorant as my wife went for dinner before me and mention she have a reservation, he denied and when I call the person I made the reservation he apologize about the mistake but this guy Michael never apologize even when he saw my wife second day for dinner No food between 5 and 6:30 at all not even a snack bar so f your coming out of the swimming ball an de hungry you screw, and same after dinner time 10 pm When I made reservation for the restaurant second day after thee mistake they have in the first day I was told it is fully booked , and because of the mistake they had the manager Jose said no problem we will get you a table so we decided around 8:30 to find out 80% of the inside dining was empty Lol, they have a wedding there same night loud
if you are looking for somewhere that will give you peace & quiet then Vale del Rei Hotel is for you. The only time we saw how many people were staying at the complex was at breakfast, and the main pool. With two pools and beautiful gardens people seem to find their own piece of tranquility. We booked a villa which was very spacious and comfortable. There were a couple of issues, however within a couple of hours of speaking to reception. Maintenance were at our door. I believe you only find out how good a place is when something goes wrong and Vale del Rei was first class. We had a meal in the restaurant and pool bar and wished we hadn't. The food was good however the service in both was poor. In the main restaurant we asked for our daughters meal to be served with our main course, and it came with the starters. They subsequently then got my sons order wrong which meant by the time it was rectified we had eaten. In the pool bar they forgot half our order. Obviously we only eat in both eatery's once. The only other area I think the hotel should look is standards around the pool. There were signs prohibiting inflatables & saving sunbed's, however these were not enforced. I don't mind people saving sunbed's however not using them for 4 hours is unacceptable. The amount of inflatables in the pool sometimes became dangerous with children who were swimming constantly being hit by them. Car essential to explore. Overall a great place to stay just a couple of areas need improvement.
Great property, only true let down was the breakfast. No selections same things everyday.
We loved the property, and the concept of it being a villa AND hotel. It was very spacious and beautiful, and the staff (Ana Felix, to be precise) were very helpful and attentive. The only downside for us was that it was far from an event we were attending, and because of this we had to resort to taxis etc because the location of the villa is not easily accessible with public transport.
Nice, safe, fair, good service. .........................................................................................
Clean, modern and great service. Good choice at breakfast.
It was disappointing as nearby the hotel are dogs that bark all night. There are a number of them and when one starts it sets them all off. This was every night . Closing the windows cut the noise but then made the room very hot . I am a light sleeper and this completely spoilt my holiday
This was the forth time here and we will be back next year
Wonder Stay
Our stay was wonderful. Service was very friendly and accommodating. We had a rental car and the location of the hotel was convenient to get everywhere we wanted to go.
Sort of a Catch 22. The location far removed, meant it was very quiet which was excellent. On the other hand, difficult to walk anywhere, and I am a walker. Staff was professional and courteous.
Lovely quiet hotel ,you would need the shuttle bus or a car to get around but we knew that. Spa facilities were fantastic and we used it a lot, staff very friendly and helpful.
Gorgeous hotel, 10 min drive to the nearest town and beach with free shuttle bus offered by the hotel
Really nice hotel. Car necessary to get to beaches and local towns.
A quiet night in a tranquil setting
Exactly what we expected when we booked it. The hotel was great and grounds lovely.
Nice hotel with great staff
Spent 9 nights in the resort with 2 kids(11&9) and another family of 5. We all had a fab time and the staff were great. Most especially the reception staff(Osavaldo and Daniel) never tired of giving us details of what to do and where to go. Room was lovely and cleaned everyday. The resort not in the centre of town but I guess you can’t get the beautiful grounds they have in the centre of town. They said the resort was fully booked the day we arrived but we didn’t feel like we were bumping into people everywhere we turned throughout our stay. Outdoor gym and a tennis court(kinda pricey at £10 per hour). Free shuttle to the supermarket and town square. All in all fab holiday and I’ll definitely recommend and come back when I visit Algarve again.
Amazing hotel in a peaceful location. Hotel staff are extremely friendly. Would highly recommend.
When I arrived they told me they double booked moving us to a different hotel in an area we didn't like. It ending up costing us tons of extra time and money.
Relaxing hotel
This is a lovely, clean well kept hotel. It's true that the location is out of the way, you absolutely need a car if you stay here. There's a lovely beach within a 10 minute drive and the nearest town with plenty of places to eat is about a 15 minute drive. The only negative about this hotel is the way in which they seem to have cashed in on the fact that they have a captive audience by charging over the odds for drinks and food. For example 2 small cokes by the pool came to €7 and a burger & a toastie was €15. That said if you're happy to pop to the supermarket approx 15 mins drive away you can stock your rooms mini fridge and then relax happily around the pool or in the gardens on the hammocks and day beds!
Cannot fault this fantastic hotel
Did lots of research before booking this hotel which lived up to and even exceeded our expectations. Both reception and waiting on staff always courteous and happy to help. Rooms immaculate with all that you could wish for. This hotel has a nice tranquility about it, the grounds are beautiful whether you fancy lazing by the pool, in a hammock, on a draped four poster under a pine tree or grabbing a cool drink in the many more comfortable areas. The shuttle bus to the town and beach works a treat and they are both well worth a visit. Good variety of buffet breakfast and evening meal dishes prepared by someone who obviously has artistic flair, the dining area looked lovely. We've stayed in some really nice places over the years but this hotel is our best yet. Wishing you all many more years of success as you deserve it.
Great stay with helpful service
Rooms were comfortable with a good view. Staff were friendly and helpful with queries and assisting with stowing of luggage and loaded our bags into the car. We were 2 girls travelling together and found this more to be a family and couples hotel. More timings for shuttle both ways especially mid afternoon and at night will greatly enhance the convenience and attract more guests to stay.
Beautiful hotel, excellent staff
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, a bit out of the way to find, fabulous grounds. Two things to improve: shower temperature went from hot to cold constantly, and the bed pillows were too high. Aside from that we had a wonderful stay and will definitely recommend to other visitors.
Quiet and relaxing hotel
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing week here. The hotel grounds are lovely with trees, birds and frogs and lots of different places to settle. Table tennis, badminton, a nice pool and very obliging staff. Downsides: restaurant a bit limited and pricy, and nowhere much to walk to locally - except the next door restaurant, which we actually preferred. Overall very good, we liked it.
Good Hotel ; Poor Staff
The receptionist at check in seemed rude. I had booked 2 rooms for my friends and for us. The receptionist refused to believe me that the rooms were booked at the same time and put us on opposite ends of the hotel. We asked the bartender for a cork screw and he made such a fuss about it. He seemed to be not interested in working there. On the contrary, the staff in the restaurant were great and extremely friendly especially Joanne who directed us to visit a lovely village close by.
Great hotel, but it itself is not near anything. There are many resorts that are closer to the beach. That said, the room was clean, the staff was great, and they have shuttles to take guests to local beaches.
Algarve experiance
Lovely hotel staff very pleasant beautiful grounds to walk in bit to far out from town prob need a car
Overall rating is excellent - why is it red and others yellow?
Peaceful oasis
This is a lovely hotel in peaceful surroundings. The staff are extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast included was a bonus, with a great selection - loads to choose from. Rooms and onsite free facilities - spa, gym, tennis and shuttle to town were good too.
Really nice quite few days away.
This was our first visit to Portugal and teamed with car hire the hotel provided a good base to visit some places in the Algarve. The hotel had a genuine 4 star feel across all areas . Weather and facilities just warming up so fairly quite.
It was a good hotel for its price.
Relaxed week at Fab Hotel
We went for a week away in the Sun with our 2 children aged 2 and 4. The hotel was fresh, modern and the grounds were pristine. We had a 2 bedroomed townhouse which was spacious and again pristinely clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was good, lovely freshly squeezed juices and English sausage, scrambled egg made from eggs (not powdered)! We had a hire car which was great for getting out and about - the location is fairly remote so for us the car was a must. There is a shuttle service to the supermarket (no shop nearby), into Carvoerio and to the beach. Restaurants are fab especially in Benagil but they are a drive away. Vanda runs the kids club and it was great for our little people. Fine for both kids to go whereas other hotels minimum age tends to be 4 which would have meant Thomas couldn't go. The room has air con and is very well equipped with toys and games. Also lovely touches like taking the kids to feed the fish in the pond, they loved it, big highlight for them. Note that the hotel's entertainment is fairly low key - whilst we were there, there was one parrot show and one bird of prey show. So basically it's fairly quiet at night time, no kids disco (which was a bit of a disappointment for the kids). However I guess the size of the hotel has an impact here, and I would rather have the relaxed atmosphere that goes with a smaller complex. There was waiter service to your sun bed :) Daily specials on cocktails at 4 Euros each which was good.
Lovely Hotel
Lovely hotel, with extensive grounds and sunbeds so that you can relax in relative privacy if you wish. Nice pool. All round service was excellent.
Nice family oriented hotel with beautiful grounds
We stayed here for 3 nights in the Algarve. Overall, nice hotel. Pool was very nice, breakfast had a wide variety and room was comfortable although small. Outdoor seating area comfy with television. The service however was disappointing. Although staff is very nice we had a lot of luggage that we had to find our own cart, load it and haul it to our rooms. I asked for an iron me day and they gave me it and an ironing board at the front desk for me to carry to my room. Beaches in the area VERY crowded...sand was towel to towel and the ocean was packed. Parking challenging at area beaches and downtown areas. Highly recommend the boat tour to the caves!!
Lovely, relaxing stay
Clean and comfortable stay , beautiful gardens and pleasant, helpful staff. Lovely spa. Not much to do in the area unless you have a car...a great place if you want unwind and do very little, much quieter than beach side resorts. A great holiday and would go again.
Very nice, but staff needs to be more informative
The place was very clean. Although the staff was very pleasant, they were not very informative on places to eat. We later discovered that the tourist section of Carvoeiro, (by Praia de Carvoeiro), had many great restaurants. There are no restaurants in the surrounding area, only the restaurant on the premises of Vale del Rei. They are not flexible in terms of pickup by shuttle, other than what's scheduled.
Hidden jewel, with great access to everything.
Its location may be hard to find if you drive there yourself, but it was easy once you followed the signs from anywhere around it. It gives the impression that it is isolated, yet we could go anywhere along the Algarve quickly or slowly depending on the route and method taken. You can walk to the nearest beaches but why bother. The Hotel provides a bus service to drop off and collect to most of the local beaches. Last resort, use a taxi service. The main thing is that the hotel was a delight to stay at. For us the location was perfect, apart from the odd barking dog in the neighbourhood (just like anywhere in the world). The staff provided excellent service and always happy to provide information on the hotel and area. The outside facilities, especially the pool area, are very good. Having breakfast almost pool side in the sun, is just such a great way to start the day. Take your time as we did, no rush and no hurry, just the way it should be. Everything at the pace you want. The Serenata Restaurant at the hotel has a good ambiance, a varied food and wine menu, excellent service and overall it was great value for money. But do try other local restaurants and experiment. We did and the Serenata compared very favourably with them all. From the moment we arrived there we were made welcome and it was like that for the ten days we were there. All in all we had a great stay and look forward to going again next year. A big thank you to our friends who recommended it.
Great hotel, good staff. WE had a really good holiday
A great place for a relaxing holiday!
We have just returned from 4 nights here and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The room was clean and modern. The pool was refreshing and we always got a Sun bed. The food was yummy. Repetitive but when you're catering for many nationalities I think that's to be expected. The hotel staff were fabulous. There are issues with taxis (not enough) and when ours didn't arrive (after an hour wait) they took us in their shuttle transport so we didn't miss the wedding we were over there for. The didn't charge either. Only negative is that we had to pay for pool towels. TIP: try out the Rosal Brassiere next door for fabulous food!
Fabulous accommodation
Lovely stay in Villa 13 which was only two minutes walk to the main pool and bar with a view of the playground and small pool. Villa had everything we needed and more besides. Lovely and clean, good quality furnishings and much needed and well used air con in lounge and bedrooms. The hammock on the balcony was a great bonus and enjoyed by all. Only complaint would be the buffet was similar each night so we did need to venture out or cook occasionally. Courtesy bus to Carvoiero was handy and only 10€ back if we wanted to return to the hotel outside of scheduled pick up times. The bus also goes to Marinha beach. Definitely recommend staying here however the complex is a distance away from any shops and restaurants. We managed using the courtesy bus and taxis but if we go again will hire a car for part of our holiday 😊
Great hotel
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean facilities and good food. They are quite far from the main town/beach but they provide a number of free shuttle buses throughout the day, allowing you to save on getting taxis all the time if you're not planning on hiring a car.
Superb Hotel
We stayed at this excellent hotel for 5 days which is just about right as it is slightly remote, however they do have a very good free shuttle bus service to the beach and Carvierio. The facilities are ideal with 2 pools and large gardens so you are never without a sun lounger and neither are you right next to some one on the next lounger. If you want to get away from it all for a totally relaxing break I cant recommend this hotel highly as you have everything you need:- sunshine, peace and quiet and almost 5 star amenities!!
Relaxing
This is our second visit and it was really good again. It's a nice, quiet, calm resort and we stayed in a townhouse. It's not fancy but it is thoroughly relaxing. We didn't really do anything other than wander around the grounds and swim in the pools.
Quiet getaway
Wanted a quiet getaway for two and it was great. Shuttle to beautiful beach of praia da marinha runs three times a day. Make sure to visit the town of Carvoeiro its incredible it has Great places to eat and a beach there as well The hotel doesn't have room service after 1130 pm. I'm usually used to 24 hours. But it wasn't bad. overall very clean hotel. Good prompt service. The hotel doesn't have much around it so if you want to stay somewhere with places to walk to then don't stay here.
Great hotel for couples exploring Algarve
Great Hotel, friendly staff, good facilities, nice area. Could do with improving English levels of staff for international guests
Great Getaway
Fantastic place and staff
friendly haven of relaxation
Perfect destination for our long weekend break.pleasantly quiet and very relaxing in rural environment. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The decor throughout is tasteful and good quality. Lots of varied areas for relaxation & drinks with interesting grounds- ponds with fish and frogs and nicely planted gardens. Buffet Breakfast was very good and dinner in the restaurant very pleasing. Excellent quality for the money. Would go back again and again.
great
super accommodating staff. great breakfast. great outdoor setting. comfortable room. Only area for improvement was to provide a better bed.
Good hotel in quiet location
A great relaxing stay. Hotel and staff try very hard to make your stay pleasant.
Friendly and very professional staff
Great place to stay with well equipped rooms and well kept grounds. The staff were excellent and that included everyone from the gardeners to the front of house reception. Smaller out door pool was heated sufficiently for the time of year wheres the larger pool was not heated but looks great and doubt is very popular in summer months.
lovely quiet hotel with excellent facilities
Our fourth visit to this hotel and always gives us an excellent holiday. Staff are very helpful and rooms are excelent
Beautiful place
I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights as a single traveller. The room was lovely, the decor was contemporary and the king size bed was great. The pool and grounds were beautiful, well maintained and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun. There was only a small number of children staying at the hotel and that for me was also a bonus as it meant a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere. The spa was fantastic, I had a great facial and massage and used the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room everyday. The only small disappointment for me was the food, the buffet breakfast was good although wasn't really restocked so if you arrived later the choice was limited, the food at the pool bar was nice but the evening buffet was disappointing and over priced. This was just a small disappointment in an otherwise really enjoyable stay and I'd definitely go back again. Highly recommended.
Fantastic hotel highly recommend
Just come back from spending a week in this hotel. The staff were amazing the hotel is so clean I couldn't fault it. The most relaxing holiday I've ever had. I highly recommend it the food is stunning. Beaches are clean and beautiful.
Very impressed all round. Our stay was also a check for our daughter's wedding guests who are booked in in September. We have no worries and thoroughly enjoyed our over night stay before we could move into our villa. Well done!
Car advised, but close to good beaches by driving/ taxi. Service good. Breakfast buffet variety pretty good also.
Will never stay here again.
After calling many hotels to request a double bed (1 bed) for two people, we settled on this place after they ensured us we would have 1 bed. I then emailed them to make sure our request for the bed was settled and they confirmed. Apon arrival the receptionist even made a comment joking about the double bed. All was good in our world, we had a lovely dinner in the restaurant (ala cart menu, set menu looked poor) however, after the first night the ala cart menu was cancelled since their head chef left, real shame, surprisingly good food. So we get to our bed and guess what, 2 mattresses pushed together. I went down to reception and all they could offer us was a downgraded room now overlooking the parking lot just above the reception, or we pay more for a suite. Their response to not fulfilling my obviously important request was ' well we have had many requests for the same thing and they have found the topper on two beds to be sufficient'. This spoiled the trip for me. They were very friendly staff around the whole hotel, but this was an unacceptable response and then to put us in a slightly smaller room with an even worse view overlooking a parking lot was just poor in my book. I will never stay here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. I also booked it because of the 'cheaper' massages, except when we went to book, they only had 1 masseuse that worked part time that day and she was full. Not to mention the place is out in the middle of nowhere with many dogs barking.
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel, very relaxing. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice. Room good size and bed very comfortable and clean. Overall really enjoyed our time at this hotel.
Excellent place to stay in Algarve area.
