HOME AGAIN AT THE URBN
I have enjoyed this property for many years. There were new changes in progress so the vibe has been significantly altered. I will withhold judgement whether this is for the better or not. The kitchen has been outsourced to a French restaurant and the Zen vibe of URBN is now glitzy and well, different. Most of the old staff are great and its a beautiful place in a great location.
The hotel was underconstruction
Great location, facilities, friendly staff. Rooms are very spacious and clean
unpleasant stay with this hotel
I was looking forward to a cozy stay again with URBN hotel during the holidays, however, when we arrived ,i found out that the hotel is under construction, which means you can only be in your room or the gym.And there's no other equipped service like before either.None of the information was provided in advanced. You paid the same amount of money ,and you only got haf of the orignal service.I booked three nights and was planning to cancelled the second and third night next day in the morning ,as the feeling wasn't really like what i had experienced before, however only one night for refund was allowed ,and they said that's their "limit". I visited this hotel for almost 4 years and even recommended my friends about it when they visited Shanghai, whether to stay or just to visit the restaurant or even a drink, but i dont think the same way anymore. I was very disappointed and surprised by their problem solving and the customer service .
Lovely green space
Overall I love the URBN, this was my 3rd or 4th time at this hotel. The service in the restaurant/bar area is very slow. The breakfast doesnt seem as good as it used to be. Sunday brunch is great minus the slow service. Food took 45 minutes for an egg on toast. I love the green space at this hotel. Had a problem with the airconditioning in my room. The staff shifted me as soon as they could.
Great rooms. Fantastic huge bathrooms with bathtubs. Great amenities and free bottled water provided. Heavenly beds and pillows. Great location. Beautiful sunlit courtyard for meals and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.
cool hotel/friendly staff/excellent breakfast
The hotel has done a great job at using recycled materials (wood, stone and suitcases). The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are nice, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Oh and the breakfasts? EXCELLENT :)
The hotel is fine . It is a boutique hotel and most of the guests are “ westerners “ . Breakfast was nice although a bit slow as it was a la carte . Room is reasonably clean . The only problem I faced was lack of door man . So when I arrived at midnight with a sleepy four year old , I had difficulty entering the hotel lobby ( 10 m walk ) with the kid and luggages Taxi is not allowed in . That was hard - hotel should have arrangement or a phone I can call . Same applies when I need a taxi .
Well locatedinJingan district close to many restaurants. Nice and spacious rooms. Lovely terrace for having a drink or lunch. Friendly staff, helpful and speaking good English. Lovely interior design
Small stylish 'designer' hotel. For the budget I couldn't fault it.
Unique spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, gourmet coffee maker, quiet.
Good boutique hotel, eco friendly and polite staff
Good hotel, nice decor if you like a bit of old setting, and Eco friendly hotel. Very convenient location, and local food and coffee shops around. Modern amenities and very polite and helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Beautiful property, great location for temple and shopping. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very quiet location.
Trendy Hotel in Good Location
The URBN Hotel felt new and trendy with an obvious approach to design and aesthetic. it was clean, comfortable, and felt like home. I would stay again and really enjoyed my one night.
Urbn could be a really good hotel. It is beautifully designed, but the public areas (restaurant/bar) were cold (the heating was not turned up enough) and the service, while not actually bad, was quite diffident. There were no maps available at Reception, somewhat surprising for such an expensive hotel, and knowledge of the local area seemed poor - staff were not able to assist with questionsa bout how to get to places. I realise we were there in the off season, but there is no reason to make guests feel like they are there out of season! I also thought that only two coffee pods available in the room was quite stingy.
It was a great overall experience. I enjoyed the stay very much.
Nice boutique hotel - not 5 stars!
The hotel is in a great location. The design is nice, very boutique vibe but with a large room. The front desk staff although with perfect english were not well enough informed. We had a few instances of mediocre or mistaken recommendations and an ability to advise on the area.
Fabulous location, service and beautiful decor
The staff really took the place to the next level. The crew in the bar were not only very capable at their jobs in the restaurant and bar, but were also very helpful, in general. They spoke English very well, and helped me and my co-worker sort out issues with taxis, etc. Loved that the place was nicely done, but not overly extravagant like a most business hotels. Really enjoyed hanging out on the patio and in the bar, and the rooms were very comfortable. Initially, I had some trouble with the A/C, but the front desk handled it very quickly and before getting back to the room that evening, they had addressed it and my room was perfectly cool for the rest of my stay. They also brought different pillows on request (I needed a foam pillow that was firmer than all the down pillows that were standard in the room). Beyond this, the hotel is in a great little neighborhood that feels much calmer than many of the other parts of Shanghai I've stayed. It's easy access to high-end retail if that's your game, but if you head the opposite direction, I found some great little cafes and restaurants about 2 blocks away. One was a very European-style cafe/market with wines, a great selection of beers, and a market of Euro meats and cheeses. If you're here often for business like I am, I highly recommend it to help break you out of the standard bizarre routine of business hotels and city chaos.
Could not fault this hotel in any way. I will definately be back.
Great Location. Lots of restaurants and bars. Feel like a local. Had a great time!
I had stayed there in 2010 and loved it thoroughly. It is not the same hotel it was. Much of the style is gone. Staff is all aloof and local with no panache. The restaurant is just not good at all. It's just a room. I would never stay there again as there are many more hotels that are way way nicer for the price. I have to go back and rewrite my review from 2010.
Good location and nice atmosphere
Hidden gem!
What a great surprise! So modern and cool. The bar and restaurant area was a nice space to work. The roomss were spacious and ultra modern. Great bed and shower. The hotel sits back off the street so it was quiet. I had the room with a outside patio and I would recommend. You won’t be disappointed! I will return!
Great rooms, very nice and central location. Unfortunately it was not easy to communicate with staff in English
Nice boutique hotel
Food was so so but overall a nice quaint hotel. A bit hidden from the street but I would recommend to my friends.
Oasis in the big city!
This is an oasis in the big city. Rooms are generous size. Hotel is very peaceful. Bar and restaurant service could be more attentive. Most of the time you need to go find a waitstaff to take your order. Especially at night. Outdoor seating is great.
Peace and beauty in a hectic city
Excellent service, charming bar with garden, comfort and cleanliness
Great boutique hotel.
Wonderful hotel in a quiet street yet close enough to the busy part of the city and an easy work to the station to get to tourist spots. Super comfy bed and relaxed setting.
cool architecture, great neighborhood
This charming hotel is constructed of wood and bricks recycled from pre-1949 buildings in the French Concession district of Shanghai. The back wall behind the reception desk consists of old leather suitcases! There is a restaurant and bar, and a lovely garden dining area. Nice neighborhood with interesting shops. A very nice alternative to huge hotels.
Enjoyable 6 night stay
Beautifully designed. Relaxing place to return after busy days in the city. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the service great.
A wonderful small boutique hotel. The staff was extremely helpful.
Fabulous !
Friendly stuffs
This is my second time stay at URBN hotel Shanghai, morden design, very clean and huge room, nice breakfast, and SUPER friendly stuffs. Urbn hotel is not easy to book since they don't have many room counts, highly recommend book in advance if you plan go to Shanghai.
Comfortable room & convenient location
I stayed in the hotel for 10 days. I think it's a great place to stay because of the location and the room was very comfortable. However there's a few things that were disappointing. The restaurant menu & breakfast could improve. There's not enough options especially for people with allergies or who are more health conscious. Overall I think there could be even more efforts given to be more eco when it comes to the restaurant options & toiletries etc. I've been to other hotels & restaurants in Shanghai that are making these efforts & I expected that URBN would be doing the same.
Location and Comfort.
I love this hotel. Stayed here 6 years ago and not disappointed I came back. I love the location. It's incredibly quiet yet in the middle of French Concession. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only disappointment this time was the food in the restaurant. Breakfast OK but lunch/dinner menu underwhelming and food quality lower than last time I stayed. Staff did tell me they are working on improving it. I like it also because it is small and the decor unique. Thank you Urbn!!
Beautiful boutique
Beautiful boutique! Loved the design and eco-story. Wish I could've stayed longer and tried the restaurant. So chic!
Definite favourite
Spent 2 nights in Urbn Shanghai and would definitely recommend it to others. Good vibe, eco friendly hotel that is very modern but comfortable. Good location in nice area only 10 mins to metro. Great breakfast and very friendly staff with fantastic attention to detail. Would very much stay there again . Chris and Steve England
Neighborhood retreat
Everything was very nice, the hotel has a nice spa feel and is nestled in a beautiful neighborhood with close by restaurants and shopping.
Great Experience
I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful, and by the third day they knew my breakfast order as soon as I walked into the restaurant. The food is a variety of Western favorites with a few local dishes thrown in the mix, and they do them well. The room was fantastic, clean, well designed, with a lot of natural light. The location (just north of Jing-An Temple) is great, you can easily get to and from the airport, train station, or any of the large tourist attractions.
My favorite retreat in Shanghai
Amazing sanctuary in Shanghai. Only a few rooms and a stable staff and management makes this a real gem. Never disappointed and I try to stay here whenever I am in Shanghai. Great style great clientele great vibe. It's the best.
Fabulous hotel in French Concession area
Stayed two nights in November. Arrived early after overnight train and staff were extremely helpful and had room ready for us within an hour. Romm itself was great- stylish and well equipped. Need to take care with sunken bath right next to bed though !!! Breakfasts were good and lovely bar/beer garden.
I love this hotel!
Very stylish and constructed of recycled building materials. The bathtub was comfortable and camewith lovely bath salts. Their breakfast is small but high quality. I would live here if I could.
Swanky sweet cool hotel!
First time staying at this swanky hotel and I will definitely be returning everytime I visit Shanghai. This place is so freagin cool, comfortable, trendy and just overall awesome I didnt want to leave. Staff is top notch! We left early AM and the dude at the front counter who was just starting his shift was awesome, had a brown bagged b-fast with juice ready for me and hailed a cab CLASS ACT! Thanks guys!!
Second time in this B hotel ... Very good!! Recommended for business or tourism trips!
hotel was super w/ arranging restaurants, and manuevering around shangahi
Back in Paradise
This is not the first time i have stayed at URBN and it certainly will not be the last. While i have my own apartment in Shanghai, when my wife visits I prefer to stay more centrally and URBN is my first choice. It is a small property (26 rooms) and it is so thoughtfully designed and constructed it is a true joy. The rooms are spacious and inviting. The bedding divine. But the staff at the hotel really do make the difference. I am writing all these positives in spite of the fact that there was a waterline pipe break one night during my stay which meant no morning shower before work and no kitchen. I was not pleased, but the general manager down to every hotel staff member was exceeding apologetic and did make me feel much better about a bad start to the day. I am however, still waiting for my promised Sunday Brunch invitation, which the GM has somehow forgotten to send me. I am sure he will remember...hint.. The URBN is a great hotel in a great location. I will be back!
Recomended!
Well located and nice atmosphere. Good room service and bfast !
Great boutique base for exploring the French con
Small boutique hotel really close to jing'an temple metro station. Shopping and restaurants all within walking distance and service was really good. Complimentary food and drinks every evening. Massive and comfortable bed and the gym was small but perfectly formed. Restaurant downstairs had a nice ambience but coffee not great.
Beautiful hotel
The only problem we encountered was our requested wake up call never came which caused a bit of panic upon waking, fearing we would miss our flight. Aside from that, it was a perfect experience.
Nice hotel
You could find nice restaurants nearby and visit Jinan Temple in walkable distance. I stayed in garden view room, it's clean and tidy. Unfortunately I can't connect to the hotel WIFI, not sure why. But it's not important to me.
Great Place to Stay in Shanghai
Wonderful place to stay in Shanghai. Human scale.
Urban hotel feedback
Mom was visiting and I wanted her to be in the neighborhood, urban hotel was a choice of a home away from home concept
Nice stay
At very nice location
Exceptional, can't fault!
What a little gem this place is! Hidden away yet right in the heart of Shanghai. The manager is amazing - she got us out of trouble a couple of times without hesitation and extended warm hospitality to my clients when they had to unexpectedly wait for me at the hotel. No request was too much trouble! Highly recommended!
Great hotel, staff and location!
Thanks to Claire and her team for the perfect stay in Shanghai. Very people friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and have a wonderful hotel and carbon-neutral concept. No hesitation on staying at URBN again and recommending to personal and business connections. Thank you!
Great time at URBN!!!
The hotel is in an excellent area, close to Jing'an metro/subway (5 minute walk), close to major sites in Shanghai, easily reachable by short metro rides. The hotel staff, Claire the GM and her team, were simply outstanding. They helped us navigate around Shanghai, got us reservations for Peking Duck, translated notes for us. They were very personable, hands on and always around the hotel to help. The staff speaks English very well. The F&B Director, Michael, even made us some great old fashions! We had room 26, very comfortable, clean, the bed was excellent. This location is on the back side of the hotel between floors 3/4 and was very quiet. The last night we stayed, the Beergrdn had an event for 300-400 people and you couldn't hear a thing. Wi-Fi was very good in hotel and Beergrdn and was free. If you are looking for a smaller, contemporary place to stay in a good area with great service, this is a great choice. Note-If the subway is not your thing, taxis are readily available outside hotel and they are cheap.
Will not book again
The location of the hotel is not bad, a small and quite street close to Nanjing Road. I came with my car and asked was looking for a parking spot. The hotel has no parking. In this area it is not so easy to find a parking. After cruising for more than 30 minutes i found a parking spot. My booking via Hotel.com was including breakfast. At the checkin i was told that my reservation shows no breakfast. Took my laptop and showed them the booking, after checking they told me that they will make a exception and i can have the breakfast. The room (floor 4, 2XXX) was nice, something special. But after a while you will see that they do not fix anything. The toilet cover was damaged and other things were not as they should be for that price. Next morning i tried to have breakfast but i was told that i have to pay for it. The receptionist insisted on payment. Luckily i just had a coffee so that waitress from the bar helped me (thanks a lot). I stayed in other boutique hotels but tis one was the worst one and totally overpriced with bad service!
Great location & Very quiet
I booked this hotel for my parents while they were visiting Shanghai. Superb location as it's on an interesting local street (feels genuine) though the hotel has very high standards. We had their breakfast buffet every day - delicious! It's a 7-10 min walk from Jing An station of you want to explore using the subway which suited my parents well. Room was clean, big and quiet. The SINGLE one complaint would be that the bathroom floor was cold. All in all - very good place and I recommend it!
two days in Shanghai
Hotel was better than expected. Very cool design and room was extremely spacious. Shower was the best part. Breakfast was included and, while the offerings were few, it was a perfect way to start the day. Close to everything but in a nice quiet pocket. Only complaint would be the Saturday night party in the outdoor beer garden, which was somewhat noisy. I asked the front desk when the garden closed and they, without prompting, spoke with the manager and had them lower the music and close a little earlier. All in all, awesome boutique hotel and would gladly return.
Best hotel in shanghai!
Highly recomend it!
Hotel is well situated and nicely appointed.
Ours was an unfortunate situation. We booked our trip a few months ago and were not told at the time of an upcoming renovation which would consume much of the common spaces. The bar/restaurant/front desk were temporarily in a hotel room. Had we known at the time of booking we would have stayed elsewhere. All that said, the 'gem in the rough' was a bartender named Tony who helped us with all kinds of things. He is a great resource and URBN is lucky to have him. His english is good and he can help with plenty of suggestions.
Not French Concession.
Described as being in the French concession but in fact a good taxi ride away. Nevertherless, a very pleasant leafy street and conveniently located for subway. Restaurant area and public spaces out of action for renovation during my stay. Roof terrace looked uncared for. However, room is of very high standard with good bedding and very comfortable mattress. Would definitely return.
Great location, stylish but not comfy enough
I always love staying in boutique hotel coz service level is usually higher with fewer no of guests to take care of comparing to the big chain. This one is only an OK boutique hotel in Shanghai. PROS: good location, close to shops and restaurants and all the happenings in town- good for business meetings; good service, excellent breakfast with no long line and crowded table. Spacious room. CONS: not attentive to hardware of room. the door lock on my room could hardly been closed. cheap door lock. Weird room layout. Don't feel comfy at all inside the room. You can be stylish but not weird. Room is completely dark most of the time- facing a back alley- will feel depressed if u stay there for a few days. Can't park in front of the hotel. Hard to find at night. Completely dark- can't even see the sign. Again, style v. functionality. Being sustainable and stylish do not mean scarfice on details and quality. Almost there but not quite.
Jing 'An District Gem of a Hotel
The wall of aged leather suitcases behind the front desk bodes of interesting decor. Excellent service with great city advice followed after my check in. I had luggage delay difficulties expertly handled by the multinational staff. I enjoyed my stay immensely. The room was so accommodating that my party made it the center of organization and relaxation on our visit to Shanghai. When I return to Shanghai, I will definitely stay at the URBN hotel.
Great location, great feel, unique concept
Overall I enjoyed my stay. The location was fantastic - much better than staying on the over touristy Bund strip, or amongst the cluster of skyscraper hotels in other gentrified areas. The concept is unique, with good use of recycled materials for the interior. Room was comfortable and creative, though not entirely practical - for example needing to climb over part of the sofa to enter the 'living room area'. Towel rack a bit too high, and one side of the bed required walking across a table. Nonetheless room was spacious. A slight mishap when I arrived the first night and they didn't have my booking - but not sure whose fault this was! Check in thus took a bit long, although they did honour a room first. Breakfast was good - buffet table was limited, but a-la-carte options better than an ordinary buffet breakfast. Shame the hotel didn't have a pool, and the nearby gym requires a 5 minute walk, offsite. DVD player in room did not work, but this was quickly and helpfully resolved.
Urbn Oasis
This is a great place to stay in the middle of the hustle and bustle of shanghai but with a real neighborhood feel! All the western amenities at a reasonable rate! Chic rooms with an eye to environmental design! Will come back again!
Good location, and non-smoking hotel.
The stay was nice except the air conditioning did not work while it is was 100 degree outside.
Great hotel!
Very good value for money; staff is friendly and helpful, big room, all required amenities available and a nice bar where it is pleasant to have dinner on your own. The breakfast is a la carte, you can order what you wish, all included in price. WIll certainly go again.
Outstanding
Outstanding architectural touches; all reclaimed wood and stone from demolished buildings in old Shanghai. Thoughtful touches too numerous to mention. Solicitous attention. The most delicious included breakfast I have ever experienced. Nice bar on roof, terrace on ground floor, and quite places to work with a cocktail, coffee, and cigar. Fabulous location in the heart of it all, just minutes from Jingan Temple. Only issues are weak wi-fi signals in room, and only English TV channels are Bloomberg and CCTV, I guess the propaganda wings of their respective empires!
Relaxed and Funky
From the moment I arrived I was in good hands. I happened to meet the Hotel Manager 'Samson Li' who immediately had address' and road maps organized for each inquiry I made with regard to my itinerary. The service was sometimes slow or I didn't receive what had been ordered, but the staff did do their best to rectify the situation. My room was luxurious and immediately felt like home. The style of the Urbn differed from all the glossy hotels one usually encounters at this level, it's recycled decor impeccably re-distributed throughout the building was tasteful and unpretentious. It's location was central to all in Shanghai and an easy walk to the French Concession. I highly recommend the Urbn to all, just leave your stiff expectations at the door and you will be most pleasantly impressed.
Beautiful
The hotel is a calm and clean oasis in busy Shanghai. The rooms feel large and comfortable yet serene. The reclaimed wood adds character and charm. I loved being able to contribute to a cleaner society. The restaurant and bar was cozy with a crowd for brunch each day. It was a restful sleep in a loud city. Also an easy taxi ride to other bars/restaurants in French Concession. I will go again next time in Shanghai!
Central Location close to Metro Station
Hotel has a hip atmosphere. Rooms are big and have a theme based decoration. Breakfast is OK, but nothing to brag about, but there are several other options nearby. There is a big shopping center across the hotel with several restaurants. Hotel caters mainly to the Chinese audience, but overall a very good experience. Don't expect fluent English speaking employees.
NOTHING to complain about :)
Great room. Great service. Great food. Great location. Did I mention great? Check-in was a breeze (took a total of about 3 minutes) even though we arrived an hour early at 1pm. Our room included a FREE HAPPY HOUR from 5:30-7:30pm where we could order free house-pour drinks, and free appetizers. I had 3 vodka/sodas and my girl had 3 gin/tonics. The food from Downstairs w/ David Laris is incredible. Goat cheese and caramelized onion tarts? Yes, please. The bar staff was great and attentive (quite rare in this part of the world if you have any experience around here). The next morning breakfast was included with our room as well. For some reason they had a problem, and could not open their kitchen, but they went above and beyond to take care of all the hotel guests by offering fresh squeezed OJ, fresh fruit, greek yogurt, muesli, and fresh coffee. Then they allowed everyone to order whatever they liked from another restaurant's menu, which was delivered within about 25 minutes. The food was great :) They really could have messed up here, but they handled it with grace and the service was perfect again. Seriously, book this hotel now. Thank me later. We took a taxi to the Bund at night and it cost about 24 CNY ($3.87 USD). Taxi drivers are frightening in Shanghai...be prepared. Also, just north of the hotel, at the corner, they were selling street food when we came back from the bars around 3am. Best fried rice we had ever eaten for 10 CNY ($1.61 USD)!!
Comfortable but no gym on site.
Comfortable hotel but expect to walk about 15mins to subway station which is not an ideal though not so bad either. Everything is great accept you have to walk couple blocks to use the gym outside of the hotel.
Eco-Boutique Hotel in cute neighborhood
stayed a week for business in november - such a great hotel! Its close to the french concession - lots of restaurants around along with some boutiques. room was like an urban oasis - and really cool is the hotel is made using upcycled materials from the old french concession. Had breakfast in the hotel a few times (its included)...the cappucino was delicious, rest of breakfast was ok...but its china :) only downfall is that it can be hard to get a taxi.
Oasis in shanghai
Amazing boutique hotel thecroom was amazing veryvbig and just luxury.
Great hotel....
Loved my stay at URBN! Terrific location, very helpful and friendly staff. Courtyard restaurant was a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast & some afternoon drinks in the sun. Highly recommend a stay here...
A very quiet and hip place to stay in Shanghai.
I enjoyed my stay here. the cool concerted diggs ( an old post office converted into a boutique edgy hotel) along with the super friendly staff put this carbon neutral destination on my list of highly recommended. They even lent me a bicycle for the afternoon to explore the city. I'm looking forward to my return trip in a few months. :)
Fantastic Hotel
This is one of the most delightful hotels we have ever stayed in. It is very small and intimate and the decor is very, very cool without making you feel uncomfortable or out of place. The staff are some of the friendliest and welcoming we have experienced. It is situated on a neighbourhood street, yet only 2 blocks walk from West Nanjing Road and a metro station. The restaurant is fabulous with great food and very reasonably priced. There is no doubt that we would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone going to Shanghai. It really is a fabulous place to stay.
A proper boutique experience
We enjoyed staying at URBN. The room was tastefully designed and felt spacious and airy. Bed was big and comfortable. Bath/shower clean and functional. General ambience very appealing. A nice area of Shanghai - friendly, busy but not frenetic neighbourhood. Fantastic massage three doors down from the hotel. Only gripe: *continental* breakfast was a bit austere. Otherwise - wholly pleased and won't look any further than the URBN if we return to Shanghai.
I have been there 6 times and truely enjoyed. So even thought they kepr rising prices, I'd still go. But this hotel is now poorly run. Staff has mostly changed. In addition the cafe and patio are close because under refurbishment. But neither Expedia nor Urbn mentioned it which is not normal. You're losing a great feature of hotel. So the breakfast was sent into the rooms. Over the 10 days, I must say that the order kept being twisted (one morning I even had 5?? eggs but no yoghurt..). I think they try to make clients happy but have no clue whatsoever how to... Food choice was also severely narrowed, all healthy options have been suppressed. Quality of the food is also poor (industrial "juice", stale bread...). Half of the staff doesn't speak English so when you ask them something they don't understand , they just tell you they can't or mismanage. Don't expect them neither to stand up when noise erupts at 3 am, they don't understand and/or don't want to handle it. I could go on and on to share how much I was disappointed and sad to see this place run so poorly now. It has been/should be a jewel with its excellent location and nice rooms. But the lack of training of staff (who btw run all over speaking super loudly at 1 am or 6 am makes you feel they own the place and you just have to make do with your jetlag) . To sum it up if you don't care wasting your money for poor breakfast, if you can sleep whatever the surrounding noise, you can go. Other than that, skip it...
シャワーの位置がおかしい
Merveilleux séjour, idéalement situé au cœur de Shanghai
Peaceful place
Nice boutique hotel, well located and in a calm and green courtyard. Few items were not totally satisfying for the standing: internet was very slow and we could not fill the bath
Utmärkt hotell i bra område.

fantastic experience like always.
只是没有健身房,遗憾。
非常好的酒店!
URBN Boutique Shanghai hotel was as lovely as the photos in our Expedia booking website. Our room had lots of reclaimed wood on the floors and walls, spectacular tiles on the floor, many noticeable details that made it look modern but also comfortable. The shower floor and walls look like gray slate and it was really big with an overhead rainfall shower as well as a hand held shower head. There was also a deep and long bathtub in the room which we used as well. Our window looked out on to a row of pink Shanghai houses which were nice to look at. The bed was comfortable and there was a sunken living room area with lots of seating, two areas that were long enough for people to stretch out and extra seat space left over. Everything was very clean and the cleaning staff came while we were at breakfast and magically did everything and disappeared. We never had to wait for the elevator as it is a small hotel. Our floor had only 8 rooms and there are 4 floors altogether. The breakfast area was being renovated - a new wooden floor was being installed - so we ate in two different spaces during our stay. There was salad, cereals, congee, pastries (soft and nice), sausages, etc., omelets (yummy) juices, milk, water, coffee (machine did a nice cafe latte), and some cold cuts. We were very happy with the breakfast. Our check in and check out were done quickly and they gave us two cards when we asked without a problem. The location is fantastic. The Thai Gallery restaurant is close!
