Home away from home
My stay at the union bank apartments this week end was a quality stay 10/10 quality.with the apartments being within walking distance of everything you save massive on travel money and the apartments become your small home away from home witch is a nice feeling to have it also comes with a jacuzzi bath which is very relaxing after a long day in Liverpool.100% will be staying here again and the only down side was there’s construction outside the building so it can be a bit scary to find it a night but other than that it’s great 😌
The apartment was very clean good clean comfortable bed. There we’re 4 people in our apartment so had to use the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable so pleased we were only staying for 2 nights.Wish I had booked a 2 bedroom apartment but I will know for next time.Excellent value will definitely stay at these apartments again.Good communication with instructions on how to enter and depart . Everything you need is provided for you. Will definitely use uk.Hotels.com again and recommend them highly.
Nice apartment, poor customer service
The apartment was nice, the customer service was not. I received nothing in respect of checking in until I had to ring several times (holding for extended periods each time). I was then sent documents to sign, had to provide a photograph of ID and a deposit to pay. This was sent after I had arrived in Liverpool. This should have been dealt with in advance. It was stressful to have to sit on a kerb and fill these documents out before I was sent check in info - so that I could deposit my luggage. There is a building site next to the apartment which is noisy early in the morning. The TV only had 6 channels - all peculiar ones - no bbc, channel 4 etc. I discovered that there was no aerial connected with the TV. Bizarrely the building opposite my window has fluorescent lights on 24 hours a day and the curtains were not thick. That meant the room was light at night time. I was unable to leave my luggage anywhere so had to take everything with my at 10.30 check out which is inconvenient. It is a shame, I have stayed at these apartments several times before the change of management. The has put me off staying again.
Great location but maintenance required
The apartment is in a great location and from pictures looks lovely. Unfortunately it needs some TLC and various fixes. The sofa bed doesn't work and wasn't supplied with any bedding for it either so had to sleep on pillows on the floor. With a bit of attention it would be lovely but clearly has been put together on a budget and had no attention since. Hanging rail not screwed in properly, tiles broken on floor. Luckily we only used it a base to sleep and were busy in the days.

Shocking first night - do not stay here!
Poor communication skills and unprofessional customer service upon check in - security deposit payment accepted third time lucky, before being given the wrong check in details for the wrong room that nobody should have ever been allocated (as understandably there were multiple ongoing maintenance issues - please see attached phot evidence. My friend sat on the edge of the bed before some slats collapsed underneath! This resulted in a poor first night and not a great start to our long weekend break! I did not have time to query and argue my disgust further at the time as my friend and I were already running late for a long awaited concert. Following an initial email complaint with a pathetic response from Opulent Living, I phoned the next morning only to be on hold for 5 minutes due to operators being busy with other customers. I therefore left a rather angry voicemail message, to which I would have expected a more sincere apology in return, but did I - NO! Eventually reallocated another (clutter-free) room, but I’d still class the cleanliness of this apartment complex as substandard. I expect my security deposit to be fully refunded (and more for being severely inconvenienced on our first night)! Plus I don’t like the concept of providing such personal financial details via email - your bank would never ask you to do that so why would you here! Not good value for money - I shan’t be staying here again! I found the initial experience completely diabolical.
