Great ambience, even better customer service
All was very well maintained and staff is very kind-helpful and welcoming.
guests not allowed to bring food or water in.
Excellent air con and nice large rooms. It's nice that there is a fridge & kettle. Front desk staff not that welcoming and threatened to call security on my daughter who had brought some bottled water into the hotel 30 miniutes before we checked out. We were also charged for the water in the fridge in the room -- there is no complimentary water.
Good hotel
Suitable for our needs
Suited our purposes
Location
Good facility, but abandoned management
Nice location plus ckean and spacious room and bathroom. Price was at the high side for what we received. Staff were helpful, trying their best to catch up with our needs. The hotel is missing proper and active management, and it's very obvious from poor services across the board. Was difficult to get the safebox working, I had to ask for basics such as second bathrobe, water bottle and replacement coffee cups. Recommended to stay if your expectations are basic.
The lobby in the reception area was not airconditioned. Poor guy was sweating. It was almost 40 degrees Celsius. The hallways are not airconditioned. Bathtub plexiglass door was leaking water. Minifridge was not working... The staff were very friendly though :)
Nice hotel
Nice hotel. It was a shame that nothing was open in Tunis because of covid restrictions, but the hotel was a fine base for what I needed to do in the city
The hotel is not in good condition. At night the music is loud, can not sleep well. Air conditioning worked not well.
The hotel’s room was very spacious, clean and everything works just fine. The swimming pool was excellent and very clean, the breakfast was very good, the room service excellent and the prices very reasonable. The best was the stuff, specially at the front desk. Nothing to complain.
This hotel has a wonderful staff that aim to p,ease. The hotel has a fantastic breakfast and a very Inexpensive and excellent room service. The hotel is very clean and you get very good help from the front desk.
Loved how helpful the people were here ! I forgot that lady at the front desk’s name was but it started with a W i think but she was amazing even when i lost my charger she called a driver to get me one ! i would stay here again and recommend it ! please give her my regards !
First night I was in room 417 and the night club was above us .loud music we couldnt sleep until 02:00am . We called receiption but nothing was done about it. The next day we rmoved to room 201. My last nightby midi night while sleeping the bed broke and my wife git shocked.we called receiption but they ciuldnt repaired it. We slept on the floor.
Frustrating hotel. Cleanliness. No towels. No service. No lifts. You have to use stair case 3 or 4 floors. Very disappointed
Worst of the worst !!!
It was the worst experience I have ever had in Tunisia by staying in this hotel. The service is very poor and the rooms are not well equipped ex. The hair dryer was not working and even I complained about it to the receptionist but nothing has been changed. The receptionist lady was not friendly at all, and she tried to charge me water & drinks from the mini-bar that I have never used during my stay. I wanted so much to cancel my journey their after 1 day stay but unfortunately it was too late as I have paid at my arrival. This hotel doesn't deserve even 3* It's very old and there's no spa or inside pool !! Overall Facilities are very poor and I would never recommend anyone to stay there.
Disappointment at The Tunis Grand Hotel
When bathing, either very cold water then, bam, scalding hot water. Twice before bathing, brown water came out of both hot and cold water sides. To eat in their restaurant, they charge 75 Dinars which equals about $25USD and the food they offered was of Tunisian dishes, who chose not toe eat. The only restaurant food we could eat was Cordon Bleu with Pom Frits (what Germans call French Fries). Only one bar in the hotel was open due to Ramadan. Our electronic room keys failed almost constantly requiring us to go down to the Front Desk to get help entering our room. We paid 855Euros which equaled $960 for four nights, our room was never serviced during our stay. We had to request towels and toilet paper be delivered to our room daily and leave the trash outside our rooms. We were told the rooms are only serviced once weekly. We lost power in our room for over an hour during one day and were initially told it would come back on in ten to fifteen minutes. I finally went down to the front desk and requested a room change to a room with power or a refund for our stay. When I returned to my room, the power was restored within 3-5 minutes. The front desk called our room and told us that the power had been restored. The neighborhood surrounding the Tunis Grand Hotel is very dangerous we were told with lots of robberies and assaults on foreigners, meaning us. In all fairness the staff at the front desk tried to be helpful. WiFi problems. The hotel has problems.
Very nice place. We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.
2 Star Hotel - Dont stay there
The hotel is very old, there is lots of noises from the other rooms, the beds are really uncomfortable. The phone doesn’t work for room service. The shower wasn’t working, the hotel overall was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I don’t know how it got more than 2 stars
Use to be a regular customer to this hotel For last couple of yeras reuqested aquite room but had a load music untill late night . Left that night and came back after 3 days for a short stay between flights had a terribe communication With staff at reception ( same person ) changed rate upon arrival their excuse ( each day we have a different rate ) . It was not the story at all before i left the hotel . O wont come back again to this hotel .
Stuff always wants money Bad service Breakfast every day is same Sweet is old Expincive shutl
From the front desk to the Marketing Manager- All wash first rate.
Nice.
Nice comfortable staying. Delicious food. Clean rooms.
Transit in Tunis
I was in transit for 2 days the hotel is in a odd place But it was not recommand at that time to stay in town Because of the manifestation
Poor location for tourists. Hotel reception staff were not overly friendly or helpful. Other reviews on this point were accurate but I didn't believe that reception wouldn't be helpful. Worst part for us was the smoking. If you do not like smoke then don't stay here.
Excellent Hotel
Very typical tunisian hotel and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and the receptionist was exceptional so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
its ok
ok
Surprisingly Nice!
I have stayed in many 4 or 5 str hotels in Tunis. This one was surprisingly nice. Welcome beverage and snack at reception. Clean, nice room with outdoor pool and restaurant. Nice balcony.
Good hotel for a stop over with the kids, we would stay again if we visit Tunis.
The hotel ner the city, it is good! But need moor caffe and restorant
A tired hotel in need of a lot of TLC
The air conditioning in the rooms appears to be very dated. The control is a standard thermostat dial with the controls Speed 1/2/3, On/Off, and Heat/Cool. In my first room (406) the temperature would not go below 28ºC and the speed would only run at level 2 (Levels 1 and 3 would turn the fan off completely). After two days of complaining, they finally admitted that they could not fix it and moved me to another room (506). The A/C controls worked correctly here but again, I could not get the temperature to drop below 28ºC. I gave up at this point as I was checking out the next evening and just kept having cool showers to treat the mild heatstroke I suffered during my stay. The hotel needs to pay attention to its maintenance otherwise it is going to be losing a lot of potential customers as more and more people post unfavourable reviews online.
Beautiful hotel in Tunis
Had a lovely stay at the end of my holiday in Tunisia. Everything was perfect. Especially the hotel staff which was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that brought it down was the quality of the food - both the breakfast and the room service, but especially the food from the room service was bad. I ordered three separate meals and they were all very disappointing.
Excellent Hotel
Excellent hotel, lovely large room with comfy bed and huge bathroom
Staff is friendly, room is nice and clean. Good location
Near to TUN Airport, and X20 Highway.
Nice, calm and elegant hotel, room is nice, food is fresh and employees are friendly and nice.

Great Hotel
Stayed for 4 nights , great loaction , staff helpful especially the restaurant staff Nahla , Fathi and the manager Ridha. Room comfortable and cleaned daily to a high standard. Wifi excellent throught the hotel. Will return.
Tunis Grand
Nice hotel but surrounded by run down buildings, nowhere to walk to, car required. Staff average, need to be asked to do things which you would notmally expect them to do automatically. Good food, nice bars
it was good
On business
Stayed there 2 nights while on business. Hotel location was perfect for my needs. Close to everything. The room was very comfortable and staff was nice.
My wonderful stay
wonderful staff, good restaurant, and amazing pool. Worth a stay anytime and close enough to airport to get there quickly while still being far enough away to enjoy rest of Tunis.
beautiful Tunis Grand Hotel
absolutely loved it, the breakast was delcious and full of variety. I made request to extent stay and requested taxis multiple times and all the staff were so helpful. Best service that I had while in Tunisia. Cannot wait to stay there again.
the staff was helpful. rooms need redocorating
The location was good for me. Good security. Helpful in booking taxis for a concert in Carthage. Basically the staff tried to please me. The upgraded rooms were spacious. It felt roomy. If things did not work they sent someone right away to fix it. I liked it as it suited my purposes in that I was near to my friends' home. Hotel is situated in a residential area. You feel safe there.
great
great
Experience
not bad
We are business people, this hotel not at all service oriented, also Breakfast facilities is bed and Room doesnot have comfortable facilities. We cannot grade such hotel as 5 star facilities , it should have 3 star
Acceptable hotel.
Should not be rated as a 5 stars hotel. It is an average hotel in everything, even the food quality.
I don't recommend this hotel
not happy and I don't recommend it to any one reception hall needs some decoration
Right in the Center of Tunis!
Very nice Hotel, would go back anytime!!
Good hotel
Good hotel but no brakfast with the room and you have to pay for each person.
excellent hotel
I have used this hotel for the past 5 business trips to Tunis, excellent staff, friendly, attentive above all is excellent. I strongly recommend it.
Nice Hotel
Hotel staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything I needed. Hotel is located in more of a residential area than in downtown Tunis. Room was nice and I slept well.
Really enjoyed the Hotel
With all the uncertainty after the revolution we found the hotel to be a quiet oasis in Tunis. The hotel was beautiful the staff was very nice and kind. Even the simplest room was stunning. We were offered a drink and fruit platter immediately after we checked in. A true 5 star hotel.
Great, not quite excellent though.
A great hotel but let down slightly by the inconsistency in pricing for extra adult or extra child. The hotel ended up charging me around £20 more because they would not take payment in pounds - only in euros. Also, on the last day i ordered a taxi that was supposed to take me to the airport one hour before my departure. I came to the lobby, taxi was outside. Went out to get in to the taxi to be told it was on its way. It was clear what had happened and that was the hotel had given my taxi to someone else. Very unprofessional. Anyway, sorted it in the end by getting two normal cabs for my family and i. (Be careful, taxi drivers in Tunisia are all out to make a fast buck and will rip tourists off when possible). Leaving aside the negative parts, i was pleased overall with the hotel. The rooms and bathroom especially were closer towards worldwide five star standards. Other supposed 5 star hotels in tunisia are nowhere near "true" 5 stars. A great effort from the team overall. I would certainly return to stay in this hotel.
Grand Hotel Indeed
A very grand hotel indeed (for Tunisia that is).. - just beware of breakfast - 50 dinars for two is outrageous for some bread and juice!
Good hotel but with certain limitations
This hotel looks beautiful and the rooms are very nice, but there are some limitations. The bar which looks good at first sight is very poor. During the three days I was there I only saw one other Customer in there, so the place was dead and the reason is probably because they don't sell alcoholic drinks. They sell cans of none alcoholic beer, coke and fanta and that's about it. Not good enough in a supposedly five star international hotel. Wireless internet was a disaster and several people mentioned this so it wasn't just me. Another annoying thing was the motion sensors on the corridor lighting. At regular intervals you are plunged into total darkness and you are forced to walk to make the lights come on again. It could be dangerous and its certainly disconcerting.
Perfect hotel
i love this hotel. it's a business hotel with a pool!!! it's a new hotel so everything is new and comfy. very nice facilities, rooms are spacious and comfy, service is amazing. the pool is a little smaller than in other hotels but keep in mind that this is a small business hotel so the pool is not gonna be crowded anyway. the hotel keeps pool towels in every room and they are nice. they have free internet and can loan you cables for free. the wifi was also free in the room. they also have several ports so multiple people can plug in their cables. the restaurant is nice but small (again, this is a small hotel) and the food selection is not very large. but everything was delicious and tasty.
worst hotel
Bad service, lack of respect for the guest, food is very bad.
Hotel a little tired and past it’s days of glory but still comfortable and a good quality price balance
