Arrived late went straight to bed

Hotel was a standard Travel lodge was clean and tidy, staff were helpful breakfast was good.

Great location, small but perfect room. Best interior lighting in a hotel room in years! 10 yard walk to the Valencia Metro!

One night stop over

Stayed for one night as arrived at Valencia on an evening flight . We had a long drive to our destination so booked a night in Travel lodge to drive the following day in the light Worked out perfectly. There is a great little independent pizza restaurant along the road (Opposite Burger King)

I didn’t appreciate the condition of this property. My health was put at risk by the management of the hotel. There was serious problems with the plumbing which caused painful headaches and the heating was only switched on after 3 days. This caused my sleep to suffer too.

Great location close to the airport. Walking to the airport was great before a flight.

Definitely bare bones! A hair dryer in the room would be nice. Fortunately we were only there for 7 hours

Amazing location for travelers

I stay often here, the hotel is clean, the staff friendly. It is directly outside the metro for the airport and Valencia city, though you can walk into the airport from here. My ONLY gripe is that I cannot make a coffee when I wake up as no kettle etc. Other than that....... However, that said, I still stay here for convenience, you know what you are getting and the cost is good.

In the middle of winter, the room was heated to about 85 degrees. You could not breathe in the room. The temperature control in the room had no function so we asked front desk to decrease the heat. They said they would do so, centrally, but did not. 2 hours later, asked again. They promised this time they'd do it. Another 2 hours, nothing. I tried to call front desk (as my young son was asleep in the room, so I couldn't leave) but no-one ever answered. All night, boiling air was pumped into the room. It was not just unpleasant but dangerous to health. Other guests in the property told us they had the same issue. In the morning I reported it to the new front desk who muttered an apology but refused any compensation. Beware of this place. It's very very cheap, but there's a reason.

Stayed for 1 night as was close to Airport. Room for 3 was very clean but smell in the room was not nice. Unsure what it was exactly, if it was the cleaning products used but opened the window to ease it. As we were there for 1 night only I tolerated it. Location was good as shops in the area to access, food or shopping.

Hotel wasnt so great

Great for walking to and from the airport. Amazing customer service! Beside a metro line and a grocery store. Affordable and convenient. I highly recommend!

Always use this hotel, if they have availability, if I have an early flight. So easy to walk to the airport and with the metro outside, convenient to get into Valencia. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean.

When I checked into my first room it smelt like sewage water and like an animal died in the room, so I had to ask to change rooms. My second room was like a sauna and I spent so much time trying to adjust the heater, but it didn’t work so I was hot all night. I didn’t even use the bed sheets. The bathroom also didn’t have a garbage bin which I found very strange. Besides that, the lady at the front desk was kind and the breakfast was okay.

Parking was easy and cheap. Walking distance to the airport and clean room and beds. They also provide a breakfast buffet but we disnt eat there. Very clean and safe location.

Given the situation in Valencia regarding the floods and the damage, we requested many days prior to arrival to move to another Travelodge in the chain. There was no empathy or flexibility shown by Travelodge whatsover.

The room was too basic, being around the airport could be a little more upscale. I had to pay for a taxi to take me to the airport

The hotel was new and clean and easy to get to and from.

The customer service in the phone told me I had to get a taxi from valencia airport to the travel lodge but it’s actually a ten minute walk was no need ro spend £15 on a taxi there. There was no toilet paper in the room or blankets but the reception staff were kind and beds comfy

We booked our first night in Valencia at Travelodge because our flight was arriving late, and the metro is not operating at this time. There are at least 3 hotels in very close proximity to VLC, but there is no signage in the airport to guide you to the pedestrian path and tunnel you need to use. Once we made our way to the hotel, our check-in went very smoothly, the front desk clerk was very helpful and kind. The room is spartan, but the bed is comfortable.

This is a not recommendable location. There is a lot of construction around and makes too complicated to find and access to the hotel. Staff at the front desk was not so kind and nothing helpful.

A great option if you need to catch an early flight out if Valencia airport. Clean, convenient, helpful staff. Roses metro station right outside the door and a few mins walk to the airport.

Close to the airport

We chose the hotel because of the closeness to the airport, walking distance. You can take the Metro for one stop, too. Easy connection to the city by Metro. Nice modern place to enjoy sunny Valencia.

Very handy for the airport

I stayed there because was close to the airport. And easy to go to move, you have a Mercadona supermarket next to so I went there to grab some food and water. The check-in was really slow! They have only one person to do it. If a group or big family come first you will be waiting a nice time. Free WIFI only at the lobby, unless you book directly from their webpage you will have it in the room too. The windows didn’t open and the AC is not very good hence the room was quite warm. Breakfast was ok but not a lot of options.

This is perfect for somebody who wants to get in and out of the city easily. It's right next to the Metro. And there's a supermarket right next door. Very clean and very professional.

I had booked this place because I had an early morning flight. The room was ok for the price and proximity to the airport, but it was SO loud, both on the street and in the hallways/ rooms. Someone kept mistakingly pound on my door, it shook me, as I was travelling alone. Not the hotels fault, just what it is.

Airport Hotel

Great airport hotel regularly use & would highly recommend.

The hotel was further away from the airport than anticipated. It was also in an area where there didn’t seem to be any nice cafes/restaurants. However, we were only staying one night and we had a good nights sleep.

I was robbed in Barcelona on the way to my reservation for 6 nights at this place. I was penniless. This delayed my arrival by 36 hours after earliest check-in time. Not only did they give someone else my room, they said they had the right to charge me for all 6 nights! Mind, I was told this at 3am! Bad time to find a new place! Very nice for them, but I won’t let them get away with it. Otherwise, people in Valencia are so nice. Travelodge was monstrous. DO NOT make a reservation there.

This is an acceptable place to stay before a flight. Don’t come here for a holiday though haha. AC worked, wifi worked, bed was good enough. I payed a low price, so I’m happy. But it’s not luxury or even nice in anyway. Just does the job.

Friendly clean and convenient to the airport

Have stopped here many times when having an early flight at the airport mainly because it is in walking distance so no expensive taxi costs. Metro from the city stops right outside. Staff are always friendly and helpful and rooms are as you would expect for a travelodge.

Great location as it is at the metro station to go into Valencia old city. We didn’t find much around the property and lots of construction which of course the hotel doesn’t have control over.

One night hotel!

We just stayed for a night prior to our return from Valencia. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable for the night. Very close to the airport but beware of the expansion of the airports and roads. Therefore, the construction site is extensive and it will take a little longer to get there than usual. The neighborhood is not the best. They do have a small covered parking that you can use for €8 per night.

We (me, wife, 3 kids) stood at the front desk waiting several minutes to check in while three employees finished a conversation. The air-con in the room didn't work (no fan or anything). The front desk told me they would send someone, but never did. We had to sleep with the window wide open and it was very loud outside. The room is bare bones. You get what you pay for, though. This was the cheapest place we could find in Valencia. So it has that going for it. Not much else though.

For a one night stay before or after a flight, perfectly clean, quiet and comfortable. Large rooms. Not an easy walk from hotel but plenty of taxis available.

Sewage odour/leak, lies, and no air conditioning

THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. It’s not broken. It's installed but centrally controlled, only works in the corridors and reception, and you CAN'T TURN IT ON in the rooms. It’s been like that for over a year. The hotel’s advertised as non-smoking but makes you pay more for a non-smoking room. The room I was put in stank of sewage and mould. Georgina from front desk came up to confirm this when I insisted I couldn’t stay in the room. She explained everything to her colleague Javar who refused to change my room even though she told him I hadn’t used it, it was unsafe, and other rooms were available. The fumes were bad enough to give me a headache after 5mins of checking emails! Javar tried to extort me by refusing to assign another room (several were available) or provide a refund, practically daring me to leave and lose my money. It took 50mins to get him to assign a new room, which in the end took less than 2 minutes. He lied to everyone about everything, including Hotels.com Two days later, the managers were finally on duty but the first had no interest in even writing down the room number. Assistant Manager Alexandra finally came out of her office and was the only one who seemed to take anything seriously. This was a horrible experience. They don’t care because it’s an airport hotel frequented by tourists. Lying about having air conditioning where it’s 28-30C is NOT ok. Aside from that, it’s a great well-kept hotel. Location is perfect, hotel is very clean.

Great location but service sucks

The front desk and management staff seem, for the most part, poorly trained and disinterested. They're really polite, but not interested in solving problems, whether minor or serious. They're bad enough at this property that Travelodge could just replace them with an automated multilingual check-in screen, which would provide as good or probably a better experience overall. With more training, care, and attention, this could be a fantastic hotel with a great on-site team. The location is great, the hotel is new, and it's also clean. Sadly, when problems are called out, the staff lie and try to blame the guest, despite ample proof the guest is telling the truth. There's no air conditioning - if you don't fare well in hot temperatures, ask for a fan as soon as you check in. Opening the window won't help most nights (it's hot outside too), and can be a bad move during mosquito season. Front desk will also loudly announce your room number at check-in in front of anyone else who's in the lobby (VERY bad practice, especially at night and for solo/more vulnerable travellers). It wouldn't take much to make this a great property, but, you're probably better off staying somewhere else where serious maintenance issues are handled properly and the property actually has what it advertises - like air conditioning in summertime in southern Europe where the temperature gets well above 30C. Definitely avoid this place in summer unless you want to get cooked inside your own room!

Room had an overly strong disinfectant smell. No sheet on second bed. More than 1 pillow per person would have been nice.

Property was clean, sheets are small to the size of beds. Not enough towels, soaps are diluted, no phone on room, not enough electrical outlets. TV was very small, AC did not work. Shower was hard to figure out. very close to airport and metro station

Worst night ever !

Worst night ever ! Don’t stay in this hotel ! We checked in around 7:30 pm with our 6 months little baby with us & we got only small bed even we have paid extra money for baby & they said it is not their responsibility to provide anything for baby. We found big insect (around 7-8 cm long) in room which can fly & my wife was sitting outside while holding our baby at 11 pm for 50 minutes. Initially they said we can’t allocate you another room as all other rooms are fully booked. But then i took receptionist to visit our room & he found insect & killed it immediately with shoes. And he said now you can stay in this room. We refuse to stay in same room & ask to allocate another room or we will find other hotel. Then they allocated other after 50 minutes of waiting because there is only one receptionist and he was continuously busy with handling other guest. We got finally other room which doesn’t had any blankets nor air conditioning and obviously nothing for baby. We asked receptionist if they can provide us at least blankets & they said wait for 5 minutes i will just bring you in your room. He knocked our door after 1.5 hours at 1 am & finally we got blankets. As already other mentioned many time air conditioning wasn’t working even. I can give minus start if i can. Don’t booked cheaper hotels one can add 5-10 € more and find far better hotels which i found very next day by giving only 6€ more. Parking was under maintenance & need to park on street.

The accommodation was as you would expect for near an airport. Our Aircon did not seem to work, so the noise from outside and aircraft was noisy when opening the window. The location could not be easier as a 5 minute walk to the airport and a Lidl next door. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly

Terrible experience

No assistance from front desk personnel. Not even polite. No AC; the room was very warm. Dog barking in hallway. We requested a room near elevator because of heavy luggage. Staff assigned room at end of hallway. We checked in at 3:30; checkin begins at 3. Why no rooms and no help to find us one? Other complaints as well that made our stay most unpleasant.

Excellent location, clean room daily. Shower leaking onto bathroom floor when turned on. Breakfast woeful. Went at 9.00 am and the bacon was gone and told no more left. Three tiny sausages left in bowl. Egg was totally cold. I had breakfast out most days of my week stay.

Air conditioning did not work, staff tried to resolve but ended up just turning heat on for an hour while we waited in lobby and finally they gave us the conclusion: “sorry we have no answer other than to open your window.” No compensation was given at all, even though we stayed on the most expensive night of the year during Fallas. If you have the option to stay somewhere else and take train into the city do that instead, the staff is friendly enough, really not their fault they have no resources at their disposal.

2nd time here as I booked beginning and end of our trip at the same time. HVAC broken again, just like the first time. Staff wouldn’t do anything about it. We spent a sweaty night with a window wide open to the noise. I’m ever staying here again.

The room was good. But the staff was not available all the time at the reception.

The property is just like the picture. The staff is nice enough. Rooms are clean. This hotel is only good for one night or a layover . Got yhere at 20:00h the restaurant and bar was open only serving pizza. The smell on the second floor is very annoying , smells like paint or bug spray but we made it work. The worst part is the beds they were so HARD. We could NOT sleep, very uncomfortable. Went down at 4 am to speak to the only staff on duty was told the manager or someine from housekeeping could help us at 8:00 with mattrass pads or another room . No one ever came and the staff member there at 10:00 said she didnt know anything about the complaint. We decided to leave with out a refund or room transfer. We did NOT sleep at all. __________________________________________

It's a basic budget hotel so no expectations however I could not fault it. Great bed, very clean, room service excellent and quiet.

Bed was very hard

The room was a bit warm and I was unable to lower the temperature as it was set to the lowest setting. I couldn't open the window but everything else perfect. It was a short stay as I had an early flight and the walk to the airport was easy taking only about 15 minutes even with my luggage. I will definitely stay here again.
