There Was Old Kitchen Equipment All Over the Parking Lot. The Dining and Eating Area was NEVER Open The Room Had Water Damage The Toilet Did Not Flush Unless You Took the Tank Cover Off and Moved the Handle and The Plunger Until It Flushed Will Never Go Back
Lots of Water Damage, the Toilet Did Not Work Properly, The Mattress Is Very Hard and the TV Had Limited Selection of Channels
Property was fairly run down. I asked for a ADA room and the only room they had, still had stairs to get to it. Generally dirty. Room was clean. Bathroom was very small, did not have hand rails and only had two small towels to use. I refused to stay the second night. Cancelled and the owners said they will refund my second day after the fact. I am still waiting to see how they do on that. office and front desk if NOT 24/7. That is a blatant lie on the site.
Aside from room being outdated & musty, it needed thorough cleaning. There was no garbage bins in the room even in the bathroom. The TV was broken but the staff quickly bought a new TV which was a good thing. The staff are nice, and that's about it. This hotel is rundown.
Terrible
All the place outside was pretty dirty with used stock all around the motel. In the room itself, it was not so bad but still a huge feeling of humidity. But the most terrible was during the night when people began to speak very loudly. I was very scared becsuse the guy yelling at a woman. I think he was beating her, she was crying and yelling. I wanted to call the police, but the man left. I could not sleep at all. The place was so strange. I never tought such bad experience could happen in a motel. My husband and I just wanted to have a place to relax after a long trip. It was cheap but don't go there....
First room they gave us the water in the bath tub would not shut off. The second room was very out dated. In the discerption it said include breakfast, it did not. Tried calling front desk for towels no one answered the phone twice, had to walk to the office and it took two times to get the towels. Would not recommend this motel.
Disgusting!! Smelly!! Broken toilet! Toilet leaking from neighbors!! It smelled like they sprayed about 5 gallons of cleaner to mask the smell. Front desk wsnt available, of course so we couldn't get a different room!! Cut cord in lamp that was plugged into wall! Fire hazard!!! Charged me 2 nights, only stayed 1($250)!!!! Then an extra $64 for no reason at all!! Broken nightstand!! No covers except for a sheet!! No coffee!! No ice!! Shower curtain falling down!! Sharp old restuarant equipment all around entrance!! Above a restaurant!! AND NOT EVEN TRAVELODGE!!!! THAT I PAID FOR!! HE GAVE ME A ROOM IN CLOUD 9 WHICH I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING!!!! THEN SAID I WAS RUDE AND HUNG UP ON ME BECAUSE THERE WAS NO SERVICE PEOPLE THERE AT ALL SO I HAD TO CALL!! VERY VERY VERY RUDE!! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!! DISPICABLE!!!
The shower did not work, the bed mattresses were hard as as a board and still in their plastic wrapping. I was charged for 5 nights even though I only used 4 and I let them know this up front, within change policy. I have contacted them repeatedly via phone call and text messages. They refuse to issue a credit for the night I did not use
The property looks derilict, the AC didn't work and the furniture was worn down. We spent one night trying to touch nothing and then left. Read reviews before booking a hotel. If we had we would have steered clear of this place.
STAY AWAY!!! Most digusting place ive ever seen we couldnt even stay there, we checked in and went to our room and omg where do i start!! Stained covers stained walls cigarette smoke in the room like someone had just smoked in there the building was delapedated and should probably be condemed the bathroom was even worse!! Dont belive the pics people!!! We i told them we were not staying in the piss poor conditions he would not refund our money all he said was too bad!! Went to the comfort inn instead and it was fantastic!! I told them about the other place and they said ya we know about them they scam everyone!!!
wonderful bed, nice sleep, extra clean. large TV, nice pool.
The property is nothing like they show in the pics. They are under construction and all the garbage is outside the building. They combined two hotels Travelodge and cloud 9 . Which one is more run down than the other. The property is run down they don’t even mow the lawn. We reserved 3 rooms in Travelodge and they tried to put us in cloud 9 on a second floor with all the garbage in the way of the entrance. We argued with them for 2 hours before they gave us rooms on the other side which was Travelodge. First they said they didn’t have extra rooms and after 2 hours they finally said they would fit us in. I don’t understand why they didn’t give us the rooms in the first place. We were hungry and tired of driving 41/2 hours. We were very upset. Aside from that they kept looking at us like if we were going to do something to the property. And the last day as soon as we gave in the keys one of them ran to look in the rooms, like if we were going to vandalize them or something. Even though the furniture is really really old you can’t even touch it it’ll break!!! Customer service was absolutely terrible!!! Owner claims there was a language barrier!!! Sorry not our fault!!!
The property has several buildings, some under construction. When we booked, we had no idea. Our room was in the area under construction! Not sure if our room had been done or not but if it was overhauled, the owners went super cheap. I need more apace to mention everything that was wrong so I'll just say don't book here in 2024 because it’s not acceptable.
The worst experience that I ever had, they try to accommodate us in the hotel next-door , Cloud 9 inn&suites, which I refuse after I saw the condition of the place, It was under construction far away from everything, And the guy said that I can cancel it if I want, but they charge me for one night, I told them that I didn’t pay for the hotel they were they were trying To put me in, This people made me lost like two hours talking with Expedia and my credit card Because they were refusing to reimburse me, After all the hustle and And two hours they decide to give me the rooms in the other facility which was already originally purchased.
will never stay here again. the air conditioning barely worked. there was a dripping faucet that kept us up all night.had trouble with the key card and the ad says the office is open 24 hours but when we went to check out at 7 there was a sign that says office dont open til 8
Bad..
Was locked out of my room with a faulty key card.. couldnt contact front desk as they leave for the night and had to call the cops to help me get in when owers finally showed up. No microwave despite it listed having one, and fridge was falling apart. AC hardly worked.
No open could not check in
Worth it
Decent size room, views from hotel are great
Appeared to be under new management and renovation, but probably shouldn't be open right now. Room was seedy - there was a squashed cockroach on an old telephone book, the shower didn't work great and was leaky, there were stains in the sheets. There were scrapped appliances all over the property. The layout is confusing and some parts of the building are inaccessible. The pool looked clean though!
Nice view from the pool. Rooms had carpet and were quite dirty.
The staff were amazing. The room was Large, bed comfortable and the tub worked! The pool was a delight!
This is a CHEAP hotel. People gather on chairs on the walkways by the front doors and smoke cigarettes and marijuana. Mattress does not have a cover on it, just the bare sheet. There was no trash can in my room. Seals on windows had failed - I thought they had frosting on them as I couldn’t see through them. Carpets looked like they needed a really good deep clean. Stayed 4 nights - no room service at all.
Where do I start? Bed bugs, broken toilet, mold seen and stank, keys that don’t work, staff never available, tried to charge twice, pavement cracked, pictures online CLEARLY PHOTOSHOPPED. Someone shut this place down
The rooms are very dated saw roaches in the bathroom
If your not expecting a 5 star place it’s great for the price and purpose.
Didn’t realize it but we ended up in the middle of Americade. The bike rally. Was very nice. Not the Sheraton but absolutely no complaints.
Plastic cups and tissues should be in every room, minimum. But by asking for additional items, they are in your hands in minutes. Good customer service.
Very unhappy
Very dirty. The bathroom was disgusting and the sink had tooth paste in it never wiped out . Bed was so uncomfortable and dirty no wash clothes in the room had to ask for them . Never could find someone to help . very unhappy.
This hotel was not even open for business. No Travelodge by Wyndham even exists in Lake George, NY. NO Travelodges are open!!!!! I had to drive home for 3 1/2 hours because there were NO rooms anywhere for 10 exits down 87. Worst trip EVER. Never using Expedia again.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The scenic mountain views from my room were breathtaking, and I loved how conveniently located the hotel was near so many stores. The parking was also very convenient. Overall, a fantastic experience - I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
Icy driveway no hot water at all and they had bedbugs
No microwave, no hand towels, no wash cloths, and the signage for where the offices were was not clear.
When we got to this property, there was no one at the office, we left and then came back, but no one showed up until after the arrival time that we were supposed to be there. the grounds were very unsafe. I would not recommend this place to anyone, pictures are very deceiving. The guy at the desk was friendly, but we did not want to stay there and said that I needed to contact you to cancel our stay,, I called you guys and you were no help at all, I would never recommend using Travelocity to .
My friend stepped on the shower curtain which was hung so low that she pulled the holder down and fell in the bathroom. It wasn't even attached to the wall, just enough pressure to hold it there. No coffee cups, had to ask for wastebaskets. It's not what I expected from Travelodge which used to be a good hotel chain, and for $122, it's unacceptable. I will definitely not trust Expedia any more for hotels. The property is in a state of transition where they bought a number of adjacent motel properties, some of which are empty and look nothing like the others. Short steep hills to enter the property with poor visibility of the road.
This place needs some extreme TLC.. There was very little lighting outside, especially at the road. We showed up after dark and couldn't even see the sign as it was not lit up. We almost missed the turn. Front desk staff wasn't necessarily rude, but they didn't speak while checking me in... they literally handed me a room key and said I'm all set. No info on the property or anything, I had to request a receipt. I was never given a wifi password although their signs state there is free wifi. It was the same upon check out. I was not asked if I had a pleasant stay or anything.. wasn't even greeted as I walked in. I handed the key in and left... they didn't even ask my room number. The room smelled a bit funny but that's typical with places like this. The room needs some upgrades for sure. There is crayon on the wall, peeling paint, stains, ripped curtains. As for cleanliness there was no obvious issues but I also don't really trust that anything is super clean here. Lighting inside the room wasn't great either. There were 4 lamps, none of them very bright and only 3 of them worked. Even if Doubtful I'd ever stay here again, I'd probably spend a bit more and find something a little nicer. Or at least a place where the service is friendly.
It did not match the Expedia description. The front desk was not 24/7, in fact it closed at 8 and you had to call someone's cell phone in order to let them know you arrived so they could unlock the reception doors. There was no vending machine or soda machine, so when reception closed (and the hot water option for tea/coffee stopped) it meant there was nothing to drink. There were bugs in the rooms as well.
Inexpensive & Comfy
Stayed end of September (off season) great pricing for a quick sop over. The room was clean and comfy. The only complaint is that the room smells musty. We need to buy a portable diffuser to clean the air. I would recommend some sort of air filters or cleaner rugs. Overall, inexpensive & comfy.
The room was extremely dirty. Dog food left on the floor, toenails in the bed. Hair in the shower and in the bathroom walls.
You get what you pay for, but not horrible!
When we arrived we were told they didn’t have the room with king bed and bunk beds available, offered us a king bed room. I declined the king room as it was 3 adults and a 9 year old. Eventually they did get us in the room I had booked. The beds were squished together but overall it was good for one night!
The room had insects flying around in it. The walls had mold on them. There were tiles missing in the shower. Everything was very dated and old and used. When I turned on the heater, it had an awful smell. I had paid for two nights lodging, and left after the first day.
no towels in the room. looked like it was a homeless shelter. bulldoz it.
Room smelled like mold.
Didn't really look like the pictures that were online
The property is shared Travel Lodge & Cloud 9. I called and requested an early check in which they granted and followed through on. Pleasant staff both at check in and other times. I think there are people living in the backside rooms as around 9:30 am a bunch of young people headed down the hill on foot in what looked like restaurant service clothes. You could hear the showers and flushes in other rooms. We started out without towels. When requested they were fluffy and soft, and smelled fresh. There was no mattress pad under the bottom sheet. The shower drain was super slow, so you splashed a bit, and the grout between the wall tiles in the shower could use some good scrubbing or bleach. For the price, I expected more. It served our need.
Room was very dirty found garbage and bugs Also check out was 11am and they were knocking in my door at 9:30am for check out and told the front desk and they just said oh sorry
Room key didn’t work had to walk back in the rain to the office. The gentleman said it should work. Walked me to my room and I was right key didn’t work. Gave me another room. No towels or wash cloths. Smelled like it’s been vacant for years.
There was no bath rug and only two towels, so it was slippery to get out of the shower. There were no cup and/or coffee maker in the room. The outside stairs were broken, unpainted and dangerous. Outside one of the rooms was a container for getting rid of bedbugs! It was there for two days! The road to and from the property was in disrepair.
Our room key didn't work well. Toilet paper holder broken just put tissue on towel rack only gave us 2 towels for three day stay no washcloths .they did no housekeeping at all. We found a container of fries with ketchup under the nightstand. There was candy and hair ties under the bed. Bathroom floor was black in a few spaces. First and last time staying there. Spend a little more and stay in the village
It’s smell bad when we entered room and no microwave and soap in the toilet it’s terrible experience.
Room was not ready when we arrived (4pm) Bed request was not met, reservations made for a queen & one twin, had 2 doubles. Had to ask for towels. Ice and soda machines not working, no ice bucket in the room. Toilet paper holder broken.
Disappointing Experience - Not Recommended!
I wanted to share my recent stay at this motel – it was honestly quite disappointing, and I hope my experience helps others make an informed choice. When I made the reservation, I specifically requested a room with multipl beds. However, upon arrival, the beds in the room were noticeably smaller than expected, more like oversized twin beds. It was frustrating to see such a discrepancy. I inquired about the situation with the person at the front desk, and he explained that the room had been dealing with flooding issues due to leaking pipes. He even tried to convince us that the smaller beds were, in fact, queen-size. It felt like a stretch and left me questioning their honesty. The room's condition was far from satisfactory, with peeling wallpaper and an overall unkempt appearance. To add to the disappointment, we found a bed bug in the morning, which was quite unsettling. If you're thinking of staying here, I'd advise you to reconsider. The misrepresentation, subpar room quality, and issues with pests raise serious concerns about the motel's standards. No matter the cost, it's worth seeking accommodations that prioritize guest comfort and maintain transparency. You deserve a better experience than what I encountered at this motel.
Staff was very helpful with a later than expected arrival. Beds were very comfortable, but property was a little shabby in places.
Very unkept. Will not go there again. For $160.00 a night was a rip off
There was only one towel in the room There were no cups to drink from No telephone in the room Only one working electrical outlet in the room It was very quiet and the pool was very lovely There was a fridge in the room but no microwave
Loud music in parking lot till 1 a.m. Waiting for 1/2 for manager to arrive during check-in.
They had bed bugs in the room and i got bitten badly
Very quiet and the worker/ owner was very nice the veiw was nice how ever ac could be up graded very warm during day and cold at night
There were no towels, bath mat, waste basket or facial tissues in the room. We asked for towels twice and finally got them after four hours. Outside premises very uninviting with garbage cans and waste outside of doors. Room was clean.
Being a property owned by Wyndham I expected a lot more. The pictures make it look so nice. It was a dump. Very outdated. The clean towels were on the floor in the office and that is where you were handed them from. None in the room. Why would I want a clean towel from a dirty floor. Where is their storage room. One of our rooms, the window was broken so they repaired it with a piece of styrofoam. That is not safe at all. Anyone could have just pushed that in. We had no blankets on our beds. Just a sheet. Had to ask for blankets. Floors and molding were all broken and not fixed. It looks like people are living there not just staying for vacation. I called the day before to ask questions and it took me more than 45 minutes to speak to a live person, then I was told to call back in 10 minutes to actual talk to a manager because the employee couldn't answer my question. So again another 30 minutes to get someone to answer the phone so I could speak to a manager. Would never stay here again and do not recommend to any one else. NOT worth it.
They canceled our reservation because of a blown water pipe. No refund, no help whatsoever
Where do I begin, let me start off with the staff, behind the counter very pleasant, lobby area looked kinda of decent. Now for the 3rd world country of a room I stayed in. The first room they gave me leaky faucet and unstable toilet, smelled like death. Requested another room, the view of the mountains were impeccable. The room itself horrendous. Like stepping into the 60s. Another faucet that leaked discolored tub with peeling grip lines, toilet seat only one bolt, I’m sure it has to have electrical violations, there was a socket in the ceiling. The surrounding area was weird and def didn’t look safe. Some undesirables walking and hanging around the facility (almost like a homeless shelter), did not feel safe at all. They have a huge facility with multiple buildings. How about closing one by one and totally renovate them. No one should have to stay in poor accommodations like this. Not sure what “Wyndham “ stands for, but it’s not for comfortable accommodations. Once again staff very pleasant, hotel should be closed down and revamped.
Cleanliness was ok, but wasn’t provided towels. Property looks old and unkempt. Definitely needs updating and better care.
Bedbugs. 'nuff said.
Absolutely bottom of the barrel...moldy, dirty, stained sheets, bugs, lamps not working, what sounded like a brawl filled with screaming and swearing in the room above me. There was filth and hair all over the toilet and my feet lterally stuck to the bathroom floor. Not to mention the bed is really uncomfortable and low to the floor. Even the remote didn't work properly. I stayed just about 30 min before leaving and checking into the Sleep Inn next town over. Desk manager (maybe owner?) was of no use and showed no remorse or sympathy, and baded on what he told me, they get constant complaints and know their business is the pits. He didn't even offer to give back half of my money...told me to complain and file for a refund on the Wyndham site, which I have. Said that is what he told all the others to do, and that it would make things easier for both me and for him. Appalling. I never complain about places I stay even if they aren't the greatest. But there wasn't even one thing to like about this place and I would never recommend it to anyone else. I would actually warn people not to even attempt staying there. I said to him as I left, "Thanks for nothing" and he said "You're welcome." Zero stars...minus 5 stars if I could rate it that. I want every single cent back...I paid 100 dollars and feel like I was robbed. Shut this place down.
Upon pulling up to the motel, it appeared abandoned. Walking into our room a strong stench hit us in the face. Stains on the carpet. I did enjoy the bench outside our room to get away from the smell though.
The room was not ready and we were asked to come back. When we did come back, they didn't have our bed size. We canceled the reservation and had to find a new place last minute on a holiday weekend.
We were glad to stop in Lake George on our way from Montreal to NYC and chose Travelodge with realistic expectations of what a cheap motel is like. The place looks the part but there were some disappointments to it. The toilet didn’t flush, we had to request towels because there were none in the room, bedding was insufficient (no proper comforter) and no breakfast to speak of. Also, out of every empty room available we were put below a family with young kids running around, loud TV and a barking dog. We ended up sleeping ok but leaving early to go look for breakfast in another town.
This business is run-down. Not clean, no towels, no service. Only good thing is the location is close to walk to the village.
Pros: Good shower pressure Had a fridge Had cable Centrally located Cons: Dirty, one bed had dirt and hair in it. Carpet wasn’t vacuumed, shower had hair in it. WiFi didn’t work in our room which was at the end away from reception. Fridge was on top of the dresser but was too big for that, so you had to hold the whole thing up when you opened it. The bar lock on the door was attached to the doors moulding and didn’t close at all. Even if it had the moulding was so flimsy it would rip off with any force. We ended up just sticking a chair in front of the door while we slept. Bathroom smelled like cigarettes.
I did NOT stay there = I rebooked another motel that I knew was clean & friendly., I had a "virtual chat" that I was told would take 72 hours to resolve. That Never happened, I am NONE too impressed with Expedia right now for dropping the ball on the virtual chat. I travel a LOT for business.
I had NO idea that this motel was a "voucher motel" I never choose the cheapest choice, so thought I'd be ok, I was awakened by the "voucher people " next door at 430AM & the yelling continued for what seemed like forever when I had to work a Very Long Day. The check in person was rude, and told me there was wifi in the room, NOPE. None too happy
The driveway was extremely rough, blacktop very poor condition. Exterior of the building was in poor repair. Door key didn't function well. Inside the room was very clean, comfortable beds. Very good value for the money. No washcloths, made up for it with face towels. Bathroom small, but clean. Honestly, for the cost, I would stay there again...
You get what you pay for. If you want luxury this is not for you. If you want convenience it was OK.
Place was old and dirty.
This was the worst experience I have had through Expedia, and now they won't process a refund for the horrible experience, and didn't even stay the remaining two nights of the planned three-night stay. I booked another room it was so bad. The room is horribly outdated and unkept, as is the entire property (i.e. weeds everywhere, paint chipping, etc.). The shower did not have a curtain, the toilet seat was falling off, the light over the sink didn't work, the water pressure out of the sink was a joke, and the bed didn't even have a fitted sheet, so the sheet came off the mattress as soon as you moved. The room took forever to cool down (not convenient when you arrive at 11 PM after a six-hour drive) because the A/C unit was not on. I really couldn't believe what I paid after seeing the room.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Clean quiet and comfortable. The toilet was broken in the room we reported it they offered to change the room or fix when we returned it was fixed.
Ok for the money
It was average nothing extraordinary
Don’t
Definitely would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean and friendly place.
This site has it marked down that the hotel only allows service dogs. When we arrived it was very clear that they allow any and all dogs so we weren’t happy to find out that we could have taken our dogs with us, but instead had to pay for a kennel for them back home. When we arrived in the room it was clear that it wasn’t cleaned very well. There was grass and dirt all over the floor, coffee dried into the sink. The bottom of the shower curtain was showing mold and something stuck to the bathroom floor. I would not stay here again, or recommend staying to a friend.
Wont stay again
The room smelled like a wet musty basement. The tv remote didnt work and the driveway to the hotel is in horrible condition.
We didnt even stay because it was in such poor condition
Clean, spacious room. The room had no towels and pillow covers on check in-we had to request them separately. Bathroom door hook is broken. Wifi stopped working after 9 pm. Exorbitantly costly.
Liked the location and the amazing friendliness of the staff.
We almost slept in our car!!! This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed! Shower didn’t work. Floor in the bathroom was dirty, tiles pealed up and Smelled like urine!!
I new that this would not be a 5 stars hotel, but I never thought it would be this bad! The bathroom was disgusting I could not even shower because it was so filthy, the toilet was dirty, the shower contains had mold, one of the blankets had fresh blood stain they were not changed (I only realize it the next morning) some of the lights in the room did not work so it was pretty dark. The room smelled awful like dirty old clothes and the carpet was dirty. This was very unsanitary, and a huge health hazard in times of covid. I would not recommend anyone to book this "hotel" There has to be some sort of health inspection for these places the filthy condition is scary.
Absolutely disgusting! Worst place ever stayed.
Hotel inside not clean, blank dirty and bathroom dirty.
Horrible place
The place was pretty run down not worth the money we paid, water pressure was horrible & the sheets on the bed and pillow cases had lots of hair from previous guest (gross) would not recommend this place to anyone!!!
Thank you it was a nice stay.
Hair in shower. Only 1 towel available. No toilet paper upon arrival. Property unkempt and dreary.
toilet not secured to floor - needs major updating - staff rude
Terrible experience
Dirty, other travelers rude/loud/inappropriate, no one to complain to or correct problems/no one cared-did not end up staying
Upon checking in another couple was bringing a complaint about bed bugs they witnessed in they room. They had videos of them pulling bed blanket back and bed bugs crawling. I still have yet to speak to anyone about my 347$ refund bc i never checked in.
Don’t be deceived by the picture
I was very disappointed. The room that they gave me was located in an old building which is not the one in the picture. I requested a room transfer but receptionist said that there’s no available in that building. But it doesn’t look like its fully booked There’s only 2 cars parked on that building. The bed sheet and pillow case looks like they did not change it. There’s also dust on the furnitures.
Awful
Room was dirty. Shower was blazing hot with no water pressure. Highly dissatisfied especially for 300!!!

I like the fact that it was right where I wanted to be
