The property is located in a busy mall area. There is a Chinese restaurant attached. Other reviews mentioned homeless, I did see them at the Tim Hortons across the parking lot (Shell gas station & Tim Hortons are side by side). I had no interaction with them. Front desk locks doors at night for safety which is an added bonus. Overall good stay. Room was a little dirty when we got in (bathroom dirty, hair on bed) but the housekeeper cleaned it up right away when notified. Front desk super friendly. Rooms and bedding are older, was a turn off at first but overall was a good stay. There is a shared microwave for everyone, just not one in each room. Bathroom is a little small for people on the larger side.
Good shut eye.
Very quiet hotel. A good place to sleep.
Quick check in. Friendly desk staff. Good value.
The location is great for everything you need. No problems at all.
Worst hotel ever
Room was way over priced from first listed price. Room wasn't clean or nice. Uncomfortable beds. Tv didn't work. Was approached outside by prostitute wanting to give **** for change.
the room served the purpose... the staff was fine couldn't sleep the last night there because of noisy guests. Less than three hours sleep to catch flight checkin at 8 am Wake up call was 15 minutes late Taxi called for by front desk for a fixed time was 20 minutes late
General location was good. Unfortunately sketchy outside the hotel.
The hotel was dirty covered in other people’s hair and the toilet didn’t work it’s terribly dated the beds are hard and for 150$ I would still expect a decent stay. I would definitely never come back it was gross
Great staff and clean rooms
Front desk was super nice, hotel rooms are clean enough. Bathroom had some stains which are pretty normal for how old it is. Buffet in the lobby was pretty good, would recommend if you need something close and decent. The only thing about this place is the crowd around the bar out front is pretty rough, and when I got back to hotel at 2am there were some shady people still hanging around which made me uncomfortable (not really the hotel staffs fault though). Overall would recommend for anyone who needs a cheap hotel for a short stay.
Was a decent place to stay. High population of transient people in parking lot. No sound barrier for room. Could hear everything happening around us.
Our room was not real clean. Floors needed to be looked after better.
Hotel nightmare
If I could give this hotel a -1 star I would. This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The floors were super dirty the room was full of dust the bathtub was dirty I couldn’t even shower. What hotel only provides 1 shampoo bottle not even conditioner or other toiletries? No microwave in the room. The AC was broken also the power went out so we had to be moved into another room that was inconvenient after driving all day. Some random woman also banged on my door at 2am screaming for someone named Ashley as well as kids screaming and running down the halls! YIKES! 200 dollars a night because of a concert is robbery.
I was so disappointed, you can be outdated but that is no excuse for not cleaning properly. The bedding was so thin and blankets were very stained.
It’s a little older, but the staff are awesome and it’s really convenient when attending certain venues and Edmonton
A little rough on the outside of the building but all the staff were great to talk to and deal with.
Dirty
This is a derelict area. A lot of homeless around. Not the greatest
I previously advised that our a/c wasn't working properly. However we later learned that the circuit was overloaded. We unplugged the frig and had no problems. It was a good thing we did not have to refrigerate anything. In addition to that my husband got 3 insect bites while sitting in the easy chair! In photo of the room it had looked very inviting! We won't stay there again.
Very rough area, lots of crime and homeless felt unsafe
Not quite as advertised.
The hotel is in a sketchy neighbourhood and, although somewhat refurbished, it is still quite shabby. The pictures on the website make it look more atteactive than it is. The name of Travelodge Wyndham gave it a legitamcy it did not deserve. We did not end up staying overnight but that had nothing to do with the location. We would have stayed but were invited to stay with friends. We did not request a refund.
Property and staff all good
Pictures of property exterior and conditions online do not match actual. Area is in transient, homeless, drug use area with alot of people wandering around at all times of day. Security into building is non existent but random people in the building not an issue. Surprisingly the beds were very comfortable! Run down and staining on bed linens (decorative) was gross. Found tons of hair in tub prior to use. Floors however were laminate so felt clean, still wore shoes in there. Picked it due to location and how it appeared online photos. Would never stay again however convenient to Expo.
The staff
.
When booking a hotel room for should have a tab for pets as well
The front desk lady was awesome
The hotel itself is old and run down, however the staff was very kind and helpful. The biggest issue was the drug users hanging around the property and neighbouring businesses, clearly high and asking for money as you entered the hotel. There were also used needles on the property. It felt very uncomfortable.
The staff was amazing. And I don’t believe it is their fault or issue. More management and owner issue. The room was dirty and there was a random microwave right outside my room beside the ice machine. Both were insanely loud and would wake me up in the middle of the night. The hallway always smelled of fresh cannabis. The parking lot was filthy and there were methed out people outside. One lady sat outside the front door without a shirt on. I was worried about my safety at night and would not leave my room. There need to be accommodations for everyone. But the price of the room did NOT match the area and experience. Do not bring kids here.
good place
The hotel is plenty clean and managed well. The surrounding area is not so good, and outside the hotel, there were some sketchy people. What's important is that the hotel is clean and safe. We had two good nights and were able to travel easily from the location.
Exterior of building could use an update. Good place for price
Not worth the $
This hotel would be good if it was cheaper in price. The room is very basic. The bed is low quality. There was a strange whooshing noise all night. Not to mention the sound of other guests travels very easily. Could clearly hear the people walking in the hallway to the point I thought they might be in our room. The heat was on and there was no way to turn it off, despite having a switch for A/C. It was 25 degrees in our room all night. Not overly clean, like I said very basic.
Inside of facility was well maintained for an older building. Suite was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. In a super dodgy neighborhood. Never felt safe outside the hotel and double locked the door inside.
Staffs are nice.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and functioning facilities
The facility is very old and tired … I would not stay again
I won’t easy parking!
Good value for price, loved the staff, many eating options within short walking distance!
Too old of a building won’t stay again.
The place is falling apart. The floor in our room was soft and your feet would get pinched by the loose boards. Breakfast was continental but a very small room so we just left. Rooms were not very soundproof. Could hear everyone who walked by. On a good note…Buffet at the restaurant there was fabulous!! Well worth the price. Service at the hotel was excellent as well.
Excellent Staff!
The staff was excellent - friendly, efficient, helpful - clean room, cute breakfast area that was well stocked. Sketchy area, but great price and service. Was working at the Expo Centre for three days, and it was a convenient location. Always greeted by name by the front desk staff :)
Would not recommend ever staying here.
Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Little outdated but nice, no coffee available for breakfast and fridge wasn’t working in room also couch was posted in picture in room but only a chair was available. Bed was clean and comfortable but comforter was a little to thin but that’s a preference thing so not a big issue. Toilet was not secured properly to the floor and shaking whenever you would move. Plus side of the place is that there’s lots of places to get anything you need, no frills, kfc, Tim Hortons, corner store and liquor store all within walking distance so very convenient for anyone staying there and able to get anything they need or forgot to get on the way there. Price of accommodation was fair also
There’s not a lot of places to stay in Beverly so it was convenient to our friends and that is why we booked there. I knew it was a 2 star and I knew it would be noisy on a Saturday night and unfortunately every area in Edmonton, other than the downtown core, is full of homeless people and it’s shabby everywhere. We were able to see our car. Inside the hotel and our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great! Lots of pressure and space and hot water. The young lady who checked us in was very nice. They’ve tried to get used furniture and kept some very old pieces too. Plus badges sewn on holes on bedding and special washcloths for makeup or dirt. So an A for recycling ♻️ Also a great looking and very popular Chinese smorgasbord adjoining the hotel. We had other plans so didn’t eat there. Now the bad… The $200 deposit was funny because everything is so old or stained already, but whatever. The breakfast was basic, and would have been ok, if one man in particular hadn’t loaded three platefuls, including a dozen boiled eggs and vanished upstairs with it all, leaving nothing for us or people who came in just after us. Never seen greed like that in all my life. Plus the coffee was half strength. It was terrible. The TV never did work. We managed to watch the Roku, but there’s not enough plugs to keep the fridge plugged in. The other plugs were also a little sketchy. No usbs. The cold water tap kept running. There was only a shampoo/conditioner.
A motel feels more hospitable
Great place to sleep and eat.
The room was clean and warm. The on-site restaurant is excellent. I have always enjoyed staying here.
Hotel and staff were lovely. Area around property is a bit run down, some homeless hanging around the hotel during the day but felt safe at nightfall
The front of the property was a hang out for homeless individuals
Many homeless people hang around the property, they aren't dangerous, but not very good for business.
Good hotel. Bad neighborhood.
The room tv was a nightmare to get hooked up to the wifi so we could watch it, no microwave in the room and the water pressure and hot water were low.
Looks can be deceiving.
Had to be shown 3 rooms before we accepted one as clean enough. Blood on the first mattress, strange hardened goop on the desk of the 2nd one. Staff was very accommodating though, and they apologized. No carpet, big gap under the door, so sound travelled throughout.
showed up on Friday after noon about 3:15 the the police paddy wagon parked at the front door and 4 officers just wrapping up and preparing to leave. the sheets in my room were stained and had burn holes in it. the attached Chinese buffet was excellent. I will return to the restaurant even if I'm staying else where in Edmonton.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS FAIRLY SKETCH. But we walked around durng the day and felt okay. Once you enter the Lobby, your spirits are once again lifted by the bright, well kept and fairly modernized checkin area. CHECK OUT THE YUMMO OLD BEVERLY CAFE JUST BLOCKS AWAY. The pillows were huge lumpy and hard, bad sleep. The bed was passable. Shower head needed some serious CLR, about half the jets were working. Small rooms but okay. No fan in the bathroom. AC was portable, which i guess was okay but loud. Fairly clean.
I will not book again.
Much too over priced, not what I had expected. The bathroom faucet wasn’t event attached to the counter. Streaks of who knows in the walls. For the price I was expected a full “free” breakfast. But it’s continental. But on the bright side. The staff was friendly And Tim Hortons is right next door.
Everything was good
Would not recommend, the area and neighborhood was not the safest, hotel room conditions were dirty and outdated, mattress was horribly dirty.
Not
Staff is friendly. Buffet right next to the lobby is convinient. Theres also a mini casino next door. Room is clean. Air conditioner works well. TV is quality with many channels to watch. Bed is comfortable. Good value for the money.
Good location & good value.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was clean, a little outdated but that didn’t bother us. The area around the hotel is less than ideal. We just took precautions and brought all of our stuff into the hotel room. It was a very well run hotel and I can’t fault them entirely because of the location.
Benefitted from both a barber, and positive atmosphere in popular dining-room on site. The building is totally surrounded by asphalt; it needs to be seen as a grass and planting “oasis” in the blacktop expanse.
I checked in to the hotel and my room had substantial water damage to the point that most floor boards had heaved and it felt unsteady.. not to mention some sort of dehumidifier running with piping through open window. I could not possibly be comfortable and be able to sleep. I tried the virtual assistant but the last message was they were contacting the hotel. I left the hotel around 5. It appeared to be a rather unsafe area and an open window to remove moisture is unsanitary. I am expecting a refund as I had to make other arrangements.. I was in Edmonton for medical
Limited parking due to the attached casino and popular restaurant. Very questionable rif-raf homeless people hanging around the property.
Friendly front desk
Photos deceiving.
Terrible location, uncomfortable beds and not a safe feeling environment.
It's not the hotel it's you Expedia you stole my money because I canceled immediately but you went and took my money 2 weeks before because you mix the dates Expedia I will never use you again
Friendly and helpful staff Clean but non-smoking room had smoke smell, maybe through ventilation/heating system.
Clean and quite
Awesome
It was a great location for were we had to go the beds could be a bit more comfortable but other then that I found it to be great
Not a nice neighborhood but the staff were pleasant and the beds were comfortable.
Staff was very friendly and courteous. Rooms were air conditioned and clean. The shower pressure was awesome!!! Outside there were a lot of sketchy people loitering, but they didn't bother or harass. So that was cool.
Get what you pay for
There was way to many drunks standing outside the doors drinking booze right out of the bottles
Rooms and services were good, but area is sketchy right outside the front doors
Front desk attendant was lovely. Room was decorated beautifully, quiet location. Wonderful stay
I tried cancelling my stay as I got the dates wrong they said there was nothing they could do as it was booked through Expedia. I then contacted Expedia and they tried to contact the hotel for me to requeste a refund and they never answered the phone and hung up on the representative multiple times. Very very poor customer service
The staff and the room were great - the casino next door meant for some drunk and disorderly people out in the parking lot, but we were far enough away from them, we didn't hear anything once in our room. We'd definitely stay again.
It’s a very old hotel run down everything is old the continental breakfast is an apple juice and granola bar in a paper bag with coffee not impressed at all
Got the job done.
Staff was friendly. We were there for a concert and they had troubles getting the rooms turned over in time from the previous night. It a pretty run down area and the rooms were not very clean. Looks like the sheets were changed and toiletries swapped... thats about it. That being said it was cheap and in a good enough distance to the commonwealth stadium. Definitely would not stay here again.
Not luxury but not the worst either
I was disappointed that I wasn’t informed this was a smoking room I was booking. The lingering smell burned my lungs and nose all night. There were cigarette burns throughout the room which made it feel low grade to me. The staff at the front however, whether on the phone or in person were helpful and delightful.
Will return. Staff was so friendly, area is a little rough, but we will definitely be back
Nice room and the staff was great
Not the best...
Was in town for the weekend, not being very familiar with Edmonton, I would say this is not the nicest part of town. Close to the ring road though which was a benefit, but not the best neighborhood. There is a Tim Hortons and gas station across the parking lot, a Chinese Buffet attached to the hotel, and a casino. The staff were very friendly and helpful with questions that we had. Our room had a smart TV so it seemed the cable box did not work, however we were able to watch the free movies and channels offered on the Roku. I would not call this a family oriented hotel (no amenities for the kids) and not the safest looking neighborhood (I would not let me kids walk to Tim Horton's on their own). They seem to be finishing up a large renovation of the hotel. Lots of construction still going on, the floor in the room although all new laminate, the floor did not feel like it was installed correctly. The doors seem to allow a lot of sound into the rooms. I could hear people in the hallway even when they were being quiet, and could hear people talking a couple of rooms over fairly clearly.
Came to the city with my daughter for game 3 to see the hockey 🏒 have a fabulous time we will for sure stay here next time we are coming to the city 😊
The flooring was so spaced out that if you stepped in certain spots, your foot would get pinched and it would feel like stepping on something sharp. The telephone was unplugged, the alarm clock was unplugged, and the only thing you could get on the TV was static.
Horrible
Not sound proof. Dogs barking and people yelling and slamming doors all night. Didn’t sleep more than an hour all night. Room not very clean. A non smoking hotel but every entrance wreaked of smoke so bad.
Not the cleanest
Too much noise inside the lodge late at night
I really like the hotel and the staffs
Nothing to share.
Okay budget room
Definite budget hotel. Clean and staff were good but could not preauthorize my credit card and had to pay and get reimbursed. Very noisy with loud people in the halls and barking dog. Room was clean and comfortable.
The only good thing is the staff, the hotel was dirty, the laminate was put on top of a carpet so it’s super uncomfortable to walk in it, and as soon as it’s cold and the heater is going, it smells like cat pee, I would definitely not recommend this hotel
Grouchy sounding front desk lady, Vivian
Room was not clean garbage under the bed. Lamp near the bead would shock upon touching.
The place was clean , the mattresses were like hammocks, clerk talked about a damage deposit but didn’t take any, I asked for a receipt on checkout but couldn’t get one with the numbers of my cost on it, said it would be a day or 2 before knowing cost from Expedia. Totally not the experience we had the night before at same brand Hotel in Kamloops BC., no talk of damage deposit, very good beds, good continental breakfast with dining area and a complete receipt on checkout, no talk of Expedia.
Not good place to stay, I just stay there for a few hours then we moved to deferent hotel. I do not recommend this place to anyone
very clean, friendly staff
Didn’t like : broken floor, damaged furniture, hairdryer, curtain pulls Bed was clean & adequate
None
The staff were friendly and super accomidating but the room was very dated and not very clean our floors were sticky the bed box spring and matress were stained to what looked like blood the chairs were dirty and stained
She just called the police on me for nothing And i didnt get my depost back

In the older part of the city. Homeless people hang out near the hotel. Noisy guests disturbed sleeping. Nobody really seems to care. Would never go back to this hotel.
