Property was good except the carpet appeared dirty and the tub was clogged so water took a long time to drain when showering.

Great clean environment

Staff never had clean towels on time and even gave away the ones reserved for us, and even ran out of hotel keys. Room had dirty couch and appliances and also even had used paper towels with barbecue sauce and everything on it. Never will stay here again. Room even had multiple broken things and crooked shower.

The hotel itself was fine. When we first arrived it appeared to be clean and neat. The only downside to our stay was connecting to WiFi, we went to the front desk three times and they did try to help but it was just no luck. The microwave flipped a switch on our first night and never came back on the entire stay. Last and final downside was the fact that the carpet had a damp dog smell. It was so bad it woke me out of my sleep and I had to go to the store to get carpet freshener. It was horrible.

Peaceful and clean

Check in was quick. The room was clean. Nice hot shower available. No view but was fine and safe with no panhandlers. Breakfast had a nice selection. Staff was pleasant

Great stay before heading to the airport. Super clean, has all the amenities needed. It’s a little noisy bc it’s right off the interstate but it’s similar to having a sound machine outside your window haha

Noting

The staff at the front desk tend to not always be there, resulting in them missing calls from your room or not attending to you when you come to the desk. Had to keep calling or asking for room service when I should have been receiving it everyday. Towels and bed sheets had stains on them. Breakfast is terrible except for the cereal. And to put icing on the cake, my cousin, who was staying with me, got her car broken into at the parking lot. We called the police to file a report and it just so happened that the hotels camera wasn’t working so police could not see what might have taken place. The manager ignored us and we had to go to him to ask if there would be an update when the cameras were fixed, he said yes, so did another receptionist the next morning when I asked, it has been over a month at the time of this review and we have not gotten an update. Additionally, I did not receive a full refund of the additional amount they charge you upon checking in, which they’re supposed to refund if there are no incidents. I made no damages and there were no incidents asides for the car break in and us alerting the manager that his staff is not at the front desk and wouldn’t send room service after I asked, so from my understanding then I didn’t receive the refund because of one or two of these situations, which were none of my own fault.

Also - Jay Kamal checked me out and was able to allow a later checkout time because of a meeting I had on the morning. This place is terrible. They didn't provide any washcloths or towels, and the food was disgusting.

We booked this location because it was convenient, parking was easy, and the room had a kitchenette. Like other reviewers have shared there are certain sides of the building that have more traffic noise. Byron helped to ensure we had the best room to meet our needs. The hotel offered hot breakfast entrees as well as cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, juice, and hot beverages. As the weekend approached the breakfast seemed to run low on items long before the end of serving time. There was an outdoor pool, but we did not utilize it during our stay. The beds were a little firm and some deep cleaning could be done on the window shade. The kitchenette sink did not drain properly nor did the disposal work. We reported the problem to maintenance, but it was not fixed before the end of our stay. We did encounter one roach in the bathroom, but was easily resolved. The tub was a little slippery so I would recommend bringing along or buying a shower bathmat as the hotel does not supply them.

Had to stay by the airport for an early flight. First room the A/C didn’t work. Second room was good and spacious with great A/C. Area is not the greatest but that was expected.

No tv service in the room

The bed mattress were the best I’ve ever slept on when it comes to hotel perfect and your staff were above and beyond would definitely be back again

Check in was weird. They did not explain any of the fees that would apply. They were kind initially but when I asked about what the extra charges on my credit card were they were rude about it and expected me to already know this information. Wasn’t a horrible experience but not great.

Charged incorrect price

We checked in on July 26, my original reservation was booked through hotels.com and the amount to be payed at the property is 278.46. Once I checked in the hotel I went to view the room and found that is was dirty and had gnats flying around. I went back to the check in desk and expressed my concerns and ask to change my room. The worker had multiple rooms available so he assigned the next room (I will like to mention that he was complaining about having a hard time reassigning the new room in the system until he found a way around it). There were no upgrades to this room for all the rooms are suites basically. I was satisfied with this room and went about my trip. Once checked out later on in the day I received my receipt and realized I was incorrectly charged for $395.46. I have contacted the hotel multiple times to try and correct this charge but no answer. I have stayed at this hotel before and never had to pay that much for a room because of how far in advance I book. Same scenerio with this stay I booked far in advance, so that leaves me with reason to believe that because I had to switch my room (which once again was not my fault especially when the previous room was dirty) that I was charged the amount of someone not having a reservation and just walked in requesting a room.

Nice staff

Hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. The cable and wifi were out both days we were there. Nothing staff can do about that. Stove top didn’t heat either.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE

There was confusion on the room selection. I also discovered long hair on the top cover. My son and I are bald. When I went to the front desk there was no staff. I stood there awhile waiting to address the hair situation plus the toilet had issues flushing.

The deposit time is unexceptional for a place to take that long to give your money back is not okay

My Awesome Stay !

The windows were a bit dirty. I loved the Suite and would definitely love to visit again.

First of all, the pictures on here is NOT what the property looks like. Check -in was 3pm, but room was not ready until 6pm. Short staffed. Always had to wait for someone at front desk. Also read that housekeeping is daily and it's not. It's every 3 days according to manager. The second day I left towels on floor (as per sign in bathroom) if we wanted clean towels. Well the room wasn't touched so the dirty towels were still on floor when we got back to hotel at 11pm. Went down to front desk. NO TOWELS to shower with. Only 3 hand towels were available. The front desk agreed it was not right and said sorry. The next morning , the front desk assured us our room would get cleaned and get towels today. Came back at 10:30. ROOM was not touched!!!!!! This time I was able to get some thin thin "pool towels". This is not acceptable. Marriott should be ashamed. There was always police presence at the hotel. First, we were told there was a police convention when we checked in. Later to find out, there is always police there because of what/who is being housed there. This hotel is highly NOT RECOMMENDED.

Very professional front desk - helped with check in and local food options. Easy to check out as well. Good space in the room with clean kitchen area and bathroom! I would stay here again - very nice place.

Beautiful hotel

The hotel was beautiful and there is security at all times present. Nothing exciting happened but it was nice to see them. Unfortunately you need to drive or uber everywhere.

Suite kitchen great

Definitely a self service kind of place...

We stayed at this Towne place Suites for 6 days. The room was dirty when we checked in and we requested room service to come clean up every day. They never came. The dishes were put in the cabinet dirty, there was a used towel in the bathroom, the carpet had crumbs, there was no toilet paper or towels, the fridge was sticky and the whole room smelled. We asked every day for service as we were gone from early in the morning to late at night. We were given a different answer every day as to why they did not come. We even asked the maid directly and she said it's not on her list. We ended up buying our own cleaning supplies and air fresheners by the second day... thank you HEB! At the end of our stay we were instructed to contact Jessica the manager who was conveniently never there. Even Hotels.com could not reach her. This was the most difficult hotel stay I have ever had. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you really like doing everything yourself.

Nice spot next to the airport

It’s close to Hobby airport, clean and quiet. Also they do not offer a shuttle service to the airport but they will order a ride share for you!

Very poor experience for the money spent.

The toilet in 110 was slow when we arrived. At midnight we notified the front desk the toilet backed up. They had no one to come check. We asked for a plunger and they didn’t have one. The TV would not change channels or change volume. The microwave in 106 did not work. There were only bagels at the breakfast buffet. They had eggs earlier but ran out.

A little noisy because it’s close to the highway but the property itself is very nice and homey feeling. Good stay and the front desk guy was awesome.

My go to location…

Room was very clean and organized bed was comfortable. This is my usual location to stay at when visiting area. Especially when I have kids along the trip. Have the little in room kitchen setups nice pool area great bbq area. Clean environment all around. Very friendly staff also

Very new and clean public areas. The room was neglected. Empty tequila bottle and vape pen in the drawers. Any time I moved something there was dirt under it.

Disappointed

I have stayed at other Towneplace Suites but this was a disappointing. First, the neighborhood was a little sketchy. When we arrived in the room, the remote control was missing. We received a replacement but that didn't work either so we requested a new room. The room was fine and the TV worked but when I went to use the microwave, it shut off because it blew a fuse. I reset the fuse but it happened again.The room was clean but the hallways and part of the breakfast kitchen could have used a thorough cleaning. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. If we were staying more than one night, I would have changed my hotel.

Staff was amazing met accommodations well! They provided a great experience from entrance. Incidental hold was not outrageous and honestly better than expected. Room was very clean, spacious and no noise complaint as I was expecting to hear the highway since we were located right by it! See y’all again!

Like camping on a highway...

Great Stay But There Were Surprises

I often stay at this hotel and it has always been clean, staff friendly, and room amenities (refrigerator, microwave) in working order. I noted in a previous review that I had been allowed a late check-out in the past but during that stay I was told that because I had booked third party I could not get a late check-out. I did not have that problem on this stay. I asked for and was given a late check-out. I appreciated this change. I hope late check-out remains available for third party reservations. Another change is that parking is no longer free. Parking is now $8 a day. Given the reasonable room rate and that charging for parking in Houston is common, while it is a disappointment that you now have to pay for parking it is not outrageous. I would still recommend staying here and I will do so again in the future.

Clean, quiet where we can rest!!!

The room that I had during my stay was lovely. The only thing I didn’t like was I found a huge yellow/brownish stain on the top cover (not the comforter) so I had to take that off of the bed. Also, the shower is beautiful, it just does not have a sliding door to close it. There is a glass wall on one side but no way to close it once you get in so water does get on the floor. Other than that, the stay was pretty good. Would definitely go back.

Check in was good, we had to leave a Hilton property because they did not have stove tops in the rooms for us to clean our five week year old babies bottles. Upon waking up the stove did not work so we reached out to the front desk. They had us flicking the breaker multiple times, not informing us of how to correctly start the burners, so the maintenance man had to come up to visit it was when we were taking showers. Not only that but the electric plug in the bathroom did not work and the barking dog in the room next to us, kept us up most of the night. The property offered a $10 discount off of a terrible stay should have never left Hilton.

The hotel is clean and convenient for flights in and out of Hobby.

The property was really nice. Although I can hear other people talking when I was in the bathroom, overall the hotel was quiet.

Stay was pleasant, room were a tight squeeze but adequately appointed. Breakfast was decent but ended too early for a weekend stay. Front desk person for night shift was very helpful. Easy on and off access to the highway. A few undesirables lurking in the parking lot and lobby, definitely NOT the clientele you would normally see at a Marriot property.

One of the best places

Hospitable facilities, kitchen, cooker etc excellent breakfasts. Well managed swimming pool, new facility I will say as everything was working excellently. High ventilated surrounding lik near a beach. A nice place that made my family wish to always stay at Towneplace if opportunity arrises. Thanks

This place is AWFUL!

I don't know who is rating this so high, but I was terribly disappointed! The walls are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING, including the person in the next room snoring, taking a #2, and someone having "extra-curricular" activities. Even the person walking in the room upstairs could be heard. Opened the curtains to the view of an industrial lot and someone staring directly into my room. The person on breakfast duty took out the trash, then immediately organized the apples without changing gloves. Gross! This place is frequented by prostitutes and next to a major highway, so it is incredibly loud. I would not recommend this place at all and will never be staying here again. Do not believe the "fabulous" rating!

Great Place . . . but

I have stayed at this hotel several times and really liked it. During my last stay I requested a late check-out as I have done many times before with no problem and was told that late check-out was for Marriott Bonvoy members only and I did not qualify because I had booked through a third party. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member but I just did not book through Marriott for this stay. This left me perturbed, but o moved on. However, I see that there was another review with the same complaint. I think you are a Marriott Bonvoy member regardless of how you book.

Amazing hotel!

Amazing hotel for amazing price!

Very disappointing that i couldn't get a late check out. I booked 4 nights & just needed an extra hour, ridiculous. After being locked out of my room for about 20 minutes cause their lock didn't work, I also didn't request any housekeeping, which saved them lots of time. Not to mention your pull out sofa is literally touching your bed, once it's pulled out. You have to literally jump over whoever is next to you in bed to get to the restroom. The night person working, the night before i checked out, would not work with me. Mention that because I BOOKED THROUGH EXPEDIA & i wasn't a rewards member I couldn't get a late check out. So dumb! I took this trip due to my cousin going home on hospice so yes i was extremely bothered at the whole situation.

Good and clean property to stay in the area. Due to its proximity to the highway, it can be a bit noisy.

No phones, internet, tv, or in/out room privileges

There isn't enough space to write about my complete terrible experience. But the low lights them overbooking and are that the building had no internet, phones, or tv for at least 18 hours (we checked out before it was restored). When we asked if the fire alarm was working, especially considering they'd had a fire two weeks prior, the response was "should be." Hotels.com refunded my money for all of the trouble I had. This pissed off, Tatiana, the manager who'd been unresponsive to our entire problematic stay. But she called after I checked out (I was still sitting in the parking lot looking for another hotel for the remainder of my stay) to tell me I needed to pay. I informed her that since I booked third party, she needed to speak with them to resolve the issue. Her response was a reluctant "ok" and that she would call me back if needed. Later that evening, I realized she charged my card on file for incidentals for $170 more than what I'd originally paid. She never bothered to call me back. Needless to say, hotels.com, corporate Marriott, my credit card company, and other entities are all involved now because this is ridiculous! If there is one bright spot it was Kourtney, the nighttime desk employee. He was super sweet and as helpful as he could be. But having a horrible, unresponsive manager has to be difficult when you have a hotel full of pissed off people. I truly hope he lands somewhere where his service skills aren't decimated by ineffectual management!

License plate stolen off of car.... then I REALLY could not continue 'seeing the sights' I had planned to see... for fear I would get pulled over by police and then WHO KNOWS what would happen! Lost sleep, lost time, total fear for days. So sad.
