Our party of three loved this hotel. Close to the river and a grocery store right across the street. The hotel provided breakfast at the restaurant on the 1st floor. Staff is very accommodating and are English speaking. Did the public bath twice. Trains are just a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel depending on the line. Good restaurant selection but not a huge shopping district (which as fine for us). It was nice to stay in a quieter part of the city. Would highly recommend!
comfortable & near to train direct to airport
even the hotel lobby which is on 2nd floor is small, the hotel still offerred to keep our luggage. the hot bath is really small but good enough. our family room is 2 double decker single bed. the breakfast was good and free refill/re order.
Would stay there again!
Perfect location for exploring Tokyo. Plenty of things to see around the area. Easy to get to central Tokyo or Disney
.
Helpful and friendly English-speaking staff. Large public bath was a plus. Coffee machine at the lobby was not working at times but was promptly resolved.
10/10
I enjoyed the stay very much. The view was amazing. The staff are so nice and accommodating. I'll probably never get to come back to Japan again but if I did I'd stay here. Also it's so close to do many restaurants and good spots to shop.
Ran into some problems and staff was not helpful st all.
Great hotel stay for our family of 5. Friendly helpful staff. Good location close to train line. Awesome family mart short walk away. Daily housekeeping provided fresh towels and bottled water. Rooms were tight but they worked for us. Would be difficult if you had a lot of large pieces of luggage. We would stay again
Close to train stations along with many restuarants and convenient stores. Pajamas and amenities were provided. English speaking staff at the front desk were helpful and I was able to forward my luggage theough the hotel.
Great solo stay in November!
I had a lovely time staying at Tosei Hotel Cocone Asakusa-Kuramae. I am foreigner and it was my first time in Japan. I found it easy to communicate with the staff. The staff were all kind and helpful with check-in, check-out, house-keeping, and storing luggage. The front desk staff also answered my questions about how the public bath access works and they have an instructional guide to read if you are new, too. The breakfast vouchers had some tasty and convenient options. It served Western-style breakfast (e.g., bread and pancakes), but other nearby restaurants have tasty local breakfast foods with rice, if you want to try something different. The room was clean and comfortable. They also provide toiletries like toothbrushes and razors, a basket for the public bath, and bath salts for your room. I'm very happy with my stay at this hotel. I would definitely recommend it to future solo travelers!
Excellent for our stay, front desk staff was helpful, clean, organized, convenient, breakfast at the coffee shop was also good, but limited in selection. Also closed to the train station was a big plus and appreciate the luggage storage for our early arrival
Room size small We booked for a room with 2 bunk beds to sleep for 4 people but had to pay extra when checked in, because each room only allows 2 people.
Property was clean, well ran, convenient location being so closed to the train station, excellent staff, appreciate the free bagage storage for early arrivals. I would stay here again.
A good stay
It was very central in location within walking distance of Asakusa and eateries and convenience shops.
walking distance to asakusa, close to metro kuramea station, exit for oedo line is just opposite and asakusa line around 5 minutes walk away, public bath is a bit small, but nice to have one
One thing that disappointed us was the lack of Wi-Fi in our room until the second day, after we reported it to the front desk. In the meantime, we had to purchase data from third-party apps to stay connected instead of using the hotel’s Wi-Fi.
Great hotel
Very nice hotel with a great location and great staff, the breakfast is very good the rooms are small but to be expected in Tokyo.
Just fabulous
A fabulous hotel, close to both trains and buses. The rooms were a little on the hot side cause being Autumn the air con wasn’t operating only a recycling fan. Rooms small but workable for 1 person my room was very soundproof didn’t hear any noise for either other guest or outside traffic.Very friendly staff ready to help
Very comfortable & clean hotel! Pick this one
Pleasant stay at Tosei Hitel—convenient transport, close to the Ginza area.
he staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful throughout my stay. However, I did feel that the cleanliness of the room could have been improved. While the main areas were tidy, some spots, like the bathroom corners and room floor corners and walls seemed to have been overlooked. A bit more attention to detail from the housekeeping team would definitely enhance the experience. Overall, Tosei Cocone Kuramae is a good choice if you’re looking convenience to public transportation and friendly staff, though a bit of improvement in room cleanliness would make it even better.
Clean and close to various public transport
This property is very clean and modern; convenient location with shops and restaurants nearby that you can easily get to by foot or train. Staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
Staff was very professional and helpful. Location was very convenient, just a short walk to train station. Grocery store across the street, 7-Eleven down the block, restaurants right around the corner and down the street. Rooms were small but comfortable. Cleaning staff gave us fresh towels everyday even when we elect not to have our room cleaned. Onsen and 2 laundry machines on site. short walk to Senji Temple and short train ride to Skytree. Would stay again next time.
Great location close to river and lots of amenities close. We enjoyed the onsen.
Average sized room with an RV sized bathroom. Convenient location, close to several train stations. Fresh towels daily. No complaints except the bathroom was awkward to use. Lots of dining options in the area and konbinis.
The rooms are small but they are clean and comfortable. The front desk staff is all very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend staying here! Close to the subway and very walkable! Very friendly staff also and very clean.
Place a bit too noisy
.
Great hotel to stay at, and just one train from Narita Airport which was great. Walking distance to nearby attractions, and really enjoyed having access to the public bath, which was never busy. Only downsides were no blackout curtains, and very firm mattresses.
Room were very clean and staff friendly.
We had a great stay. Having the Asakusa and Oedo lines so nearby made for easy travel and proximity to Sensoji was wonderful.
Our family loved this hotel. We got the 2 bunk beds for our family of four and it was comfortable. We were within walkable distances for shopping and tourist attractions.
Nice break first
Cute place with nice front desk people who spoke English as well. Pillows were not comfy at all!
Great location convenient to public transportation. Clean and quiet.
Amazing hotel, relaxing atsmosphere and helpfull staff. Close to the subway station and convinient location
Very nice and friendly staff with a clean and decent hotel. Expedia has a misleading advert to say the price includes free breakfast but it does not! Escalated this issue with the customer service manager who did not provide any goowill gesture and wasted a good hour since arrival which is not how you want to start your holiday! On this basis, i won't recommend to use Expedia on any future booking.
We enjoyed the stay
The staff were very helpful and attentive, and speaking English with them was no problem at all. The hotel was in a great location, close to the Sumida river, train stations, lots of grocery/convenient stores, and the Senso-ji temple and markets. The hotel and the rooms were clean and had lots of amenities in case you forgot something (toothbrush, brush, cotton balls, washcloths, etc), as well as free coffee and tea. The price was very reasonable, and we would definitely stay here again.
The room is small and the mattress was not very conform but the staff were very nice
Very clean hotel. We had a room with bunk beds for our family of four. The room was clean and fridge restocked with water each day. Staff was very friendly. Able to leave luggage - but just in the foyer as we checked out before we had to leave for our flight - they put a little net around our things. Not very secure - but it’s Japan - we weren’t worried. We were able to check in early for a fee of 1,100 yen for each hour early. The public bath onsite could not be used by guests with tattoos. We did not pay for breakfast, those who did got a voucher to use in the restaurant on the main floor, we were able to order off the menu for breakfast. Elevators were very busy at check out time and no staircase you could use as an alternative.
A room is small but the staff very nice
Easy check in. Great location, close to subway and convenient stores. Love how the housekeeping leaves a basket with new set of towels and appliances everyday even when you put do not disturb sign by the door.
Close to transportation and interesting sites. View of Tokyo Skytree from room. Simuda River trail convenient for a morning jog. Onsen was nice option. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room, which was small, but adequate. Wish room had curtains to blocks sun/lights. Staff was very curteous. Good value overall.
Everything was good 👍 except service from front desk. They seems like not trained enough and inexperienced. We didn't know that there is cleaning service till we read thier official website.
Property is convenient and very close to Asakusa, you can walk or its a 3 min bus ride. Property is very clean. Place is spacious for Japan, we got the bunk room with 4 single beds and it still fit the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 children) plus 2 small luggage.
The room was a bit smaller than I expected and the environment where the hotel is located was a bit noisy in the early morning(like 5- 7 am, mostly due to transportation) when I stayed.
Hotel is located near few subway lines which is very convenient to go visit different parts of Tokyo. Room is clean and maintain good condition.
Super clean and comfy!
The hotel room was a good size for a family of four. We each had our own super comfy bed. Everything was very clean and they offered daily housekeeping. When we didn't need that, the staff left us a bag of amenities including towels, new pajamas and a water bottle for each person. We appreciated the fact that the toilet was in a separate room from the tub and sink. It helped with our morning and bedtime routines. As for the location, it was slightly farther from the main shops and restaurants than we would have liked. We didn't mind walking the extra ten minutes north though. It was nice to be in a quieter, less crowded area. We were also very close to several train stations. And on the last day, we walked eight minutes to the train station with all of our luggage and took the train straight to Narita Airport, with no transfers needed.
Family room with bunk bed. Room is small, but has everything
Our room was small but efficient. Hotel had nice amenities, like complimentary water bottles and free razors. Nice, quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle and close to Senso-ji Temple. Kuramae subway station is right across the street, so it was easy to get anywhere. Also enjoyed the public bath, which was very well-maintained. A very pleasant stay!
Staffs are very friendly and rooms are clean! Close to subway!
clean and modern. had to wait for the elevators a lot
The public bath is best 👌
Highly recommend! Amazing price and service. There is 24/7 front desk and everyone was very helpful during my stay. They offer lots of amenities like toothbrushes, combs, public baths, free coffee, and more. My room had everything I needed for a week long stay. Great air conditioning, work station, bathroom has a bidet and bath plug. If you’re visiting Tokyo this is a great place to book within 3 minutes of Kuramae station. It was also easy getting to Haneda Airport.
Chambre vraiment tres petite avec vue sur un mur, decu par rapport au prix paye.
Room is small but okay for three slim Indonesians
sensational all round excellent experience for a Tokyo first timer
Location are very convenient to any signseeing area
Great location. Easy walking distance to amazing cultural experiences. Surrounded by food places. Walking distance (10min train station). Negative: room very small.
The staff were very helpful, the property was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a convenient, two minute walk, from Kurame Station.
Lovely friendly staff, room was small but I expected it and very clean. Loved the asakusa kuramae area has a few train stations near and very walkable with convenience stores near, would deffo stay here again
We stay in the japanese style room. The room is quiet big.
Close proximity to 2 metro lines offering excellent connectivity to the rest of the city. Very friendly and helpful reception staff Restaurant is cosy with friendly staff.
aside from the small rooms, everything else was perfect. The location is amazing, close to all the shopping/dining areas and bus/train stations are 2-3 minutes walking distance
Perfect location, clean hotel.
Travel Counselor
The staffs were very friendly. I liked the public bath, coffee machine at the lobby, the wash and dry machine so cheap! The location was very good!
It was a great hotel to stay due to the closeness to convenient store, food, transportation. The hotel was clean and staff was awesome. We enjot the on-zen
Always good service.
We didn't spend much time in the room except to sleep but the room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, there was plenty of places to eat and walk distance to multiple train stations. I would stay here again
Very convenient hotel close to subway lines. Clean and comfortable rooms and the staff was very helpful.
Good location for tourist.
We enjoyed our stay here. We had two rooms for a couple and teenager. The rooms are very cozy and the bathrooms utilize every square inch. But we were really just there to sleep and it’s a great location. Close to public transit and many great restaurants within a short distance. We liked being close to the river to take walks in the morning and my husband went for a run along it one day. Pillows were not great for some of us, so if you’re used to a big fluffy pillow maybe bring your own.
10 out of 10!
Good location. Located near Kuramae station. Asakusa station a short 10 min walk away. Easy to get to hotel from Narita airport. Near the Sumida river, Sensoji, Nakamise-dori Street etc. Lots to do within walking distance. Good transport links. Hotel room was clean. Friendly staff. Good amenities. Free pack of bath salts at the front desk. Free coffee machine. Laundry machines available and you can monitor your washing machine completion time from the TV. Bad: room is a little small. If you have large luggage, it may be a struggle when packing/unpacking. Dryer does not work when doing laundry. The incense in the front desk/lobby area was a bit too intense.
Great area to explore from. Room is excellent value for price. Very small room but for the money I think a very reasonable trade off. Bed was comfortable.
Clean rooms. Option of Japanese public bath. Staff are extremely polite and helpful. Thank you!
It was a really nice location
Perfect little hotel close to train station. Walking distance to Sensoji with restaurants, conbini, pharmacy and grocery shops around the area. Stayed here for 3 nights. Out and about most of the time during the day and always came back to a clean and tidy room each time. Room is a bit tight for 2 but for a solo traveller it’s perfect. Room has TV, basic kettle, tea and daily supply of bottled water. Bathroom is tight but you can use the furo and they have free bath sachets at the counter you can use. There is a small public bath as well which is a nice addition. Check in time is 3pm, check out at 10am. But they are happy to keep your luggage if you arrive early or have to leave late after check out. Pleasant interaction with reception staff the whole stay. For the value and convenience I would recommend this hotel and wouldn’t mind staying again.
Hotel was great - not a lot of dining options really close to the hotel but subway and other places not far - we had kids though so walking far was not ideal after a long day of sightseeing
Everything was great but in the room no air condition and it pretty hot at night and we had to open the window, and it was noisy because the property is by the road.
Not a bad choice
Great location, there were subway stops across the street from where we were at. Only met one front desk attendant who spoke English. Air conditioning would turn off at night, which was uncomfortable, but opening the window at night helped. That said, we never addressed that issue with the hotel staff, so maybe they would’ve fixed it had we said something. On site laundry machines were nice! The cafe downstairs had some very delicious options.
A home away from home .
We stayed there for 7 nights last month . The location of the hotel is unbeatable in Asakusa , close to the subway station . Within walking distance to the Sumida River , the temples and even the sky tree tower . The room is not that large but clean with the clean and comfortable toilet . The indoor public hot spring bath is a bonus to the guests . The set breakfast was awesome with choices . Staff at the front desk were also helpful with patience . Will stay at this hotel again when coming to Tokyo next time .
Everything was perfect
Lovely hotel that I would love to return to
I love the aesthetics of this hotel, and it is well complemented by it being overall a very clean hotel too. Access is via two elevators, no stairways, so things can be a little slow sometimes but generally the wait times aren’t unreasonable. The room is well furnished with a small desk and chair with lamp. Big enough to get some work done. A mini fridge is also available. The room is a little tight like most business hotels so you might only find room to manage your luggage in the room’s hallway. There are two washing machines in the lobby floor (2F) though it is a little hard to get your chance of using it in the evening. You could at least get to see when the machines will finish their load via the room TV but it doesn’t mean the owner will pick up their clothes as soon as it is done—they have up to an hour to pick it up. So yes, you can do laundry but it might not be something you want to rely on if you’re not flexible on time. There are two other notable services the hotel offers that I didn’t use: the public bath and laptop rental. But they’re both really cool features to have at a hotel. The lobby also has onsen minerals at the counter you can grab one per night, so you can have your own private hot bath in your own hotel room. When it comes to the bed I found it clean but the comfort is unfortunately not quite as comfortable as APA Hotel. Location wise it is very close to Kuramae station but the Oedo line only, the Asakusa line is located a few blocks down.
Modern and clean hotel, good customer service. Nice to have free drink and Onsen.
We had many options and we are so happy we chose the Tosei hotel. 🏨 from the first greeting to the last the staff was outstanding. Will definitely stay here again. ❤️
It was all good. The only complain might be the breakfast (kinda poor). It is better to not include it and just buy food on any convenience store. The room and service, for the price, very good.
Great location, room is so small. Staff very friendly and breakfast was good
Everything is all clean and comfortable.
Great stay
Lovely and clean, would stay again
convenient location
The staff was very friendly, and Breakfast was amazing, The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely be back here!!
The hotel provides a basic logging and staff are very friendly and polite. The location is very good for some tourists attractions and good transportation access. There are many restaurants/bar/grocery shops . I’ve chosen this hotel for a public bath . Thus after check in at 15:00 , I went to the bath, but bath water was not cleaned and many dirty things were floating in the hot water. Since then I haven’t been there and used a shower in my room. It was very disappointed. 15:00 is opening time , and it should be very clean both hot water and facilities. Also the hotel provides disposal slippers without sealed bags , which unhygienic system . Hence I’ve thrown them away without use it. Breakfast at a coffee Kan is very good system , it doesn’t need a full buffet breakfast.
Room is clean and easy transportation, staff were nice and helpful.
The staff were so welcoming and helpful! Nice room, great location, and even a small onsen.
