It was a small room, but very clean!
Nice country inn
The room bathroom and bedding were immaculate. However there was no refrigerator in the room which was unusual
Repeat guest & find quality continues to be worth our visit
Lovely cottage style hotel conveniently located a few minutes walking distance from the main strip of Woodstock town, Tinker Street. I absolutely loved waking up and exploring the mill stream located right in front of the inn reception area. It was so peaceful and a beautiful way to start the day. The room and bed were cozy and comfortable. The only drawback of my room was the shower temperature which went hot and cold during the duration of my shower. If this can be fixed by maintenance, I would say the inn is a 10 out of 10 for wonderful place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay. Easy access by car to main street. Very lovely grounds and nice light breakfast spread. Fun to see the deers on property enjoying too!
Wonderful experience!
The place was clean but the ac didn't work and the bathroom was one of the strangest set ups I have ever seen. You had to scoot around the sink to get to the toilet. We did laugh about it so that was something.
Woodstock Inn
The location was lovely, with grounds at a stream with a rapids and chairs. The continental breakfast was average but acceptable. But the room was a disappointment. Very tiny, small bathroom, thin walls. Convenient walk to town. We would not choose it again.
Loved the setting on Millstream. I could not partake of morning breakfast due to the art course I took which started at 9am. Otherwise, seriously clean & neat.
Small but quaint with all the things that make a trip comfortable. Situated on the Tannery Brook stream, hammocks outdoor seating to eat your breakfast that is diet friendly for gluten free, health conscious and dairy free options. We stayed in room 3 - the bathroom is tight and might be a challenge for someone very tall. Sink is very close to toilet, Keurig mace in room and .5 mile from town.
Amazing place and great location
Safe quiet
Everything is pricey in this area, however; this property offers simple, clean, and quiet accommodations, and a really nice and healthy breakfast option spread in the main office, with friendly and accommodating staff.
The Woodstock Inn was lovely. The rooms cozy and the staff very professional. We loved the location by the river and mostly that fact that its a 3 mins walk into the center of town. Beautiful
Room and bathroom very small. Needed to run water for 5 minutes before it became warm. Clean room.
I absolutely loved the location and property the room was a little small but very very clean and comfortable
Lovely lovely lovely! Definitely coming back!
clean & comfortable. excellent breakfast buffet. quiet.
Perfect weekend getaway and close to town!
The setting is lovely, and the staff is always wonderful! We will return yet again!
Such a great experience!
Beautiful property walking distance to downtown
The property is very peaceful. It is nice to sit outside by the stream. Breakfast was being served in the office and was great. The room itself is small and simple, but not complaints!
Simple Getaway
It was just what we needed. The room was small but SUPER clean and well maintained. The grounds were beautiful and as city people, it was nice to be in nature for a few days. It was also walkable to town. We never moved our car, we just walked everywhere which was nice.
Nice place
Great location near center of Woodstock and Levon Helm Studio
Nice and clean Bed & Breakfast next to the stream in Woodstock. Only downside was that there was no breakfast due to Covid.
Nice place to stay in Woodstock
The Inn is very clean, functional, practical. Well run, easy, no contact. Certainly not luxurious, nor spacious, but it works.
Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful grounds, twinkle lights , very festive! The rooms are immaculate. Small, quaint, everything you need. Just beautiful. Will definitely be back in the summer or fall. And the location is the best, walking distance to town. Loved our stay!
mill stream with great views. Bathroom was a bit small
The property was very pretty in an area close to downtown Woodstock. The rooms were small but homey and quaint. I would recommend the Woodstock Inn on the Millstream to anyone looking for a cute, quiet place to stay in Woodstock.
Very clean, peaceful stay. The only problem is the bathroom door in our room swung open into tv. A stop of some sort should be put in place.
The room was a little small but clean and close to the center of town. The grounds were pretty. The coffee making machine was in an closet and unplugged. There was little room to set it up, so I did not bother with it.
The room was immaculate and charming. The bed was so comfortable. I greatly enjoyed my visit and I felt safe. COVID-19 protocols are fantastic! The facility really minimized any risk of exposure.
Clean lovely rooms
The property was clean, neat, close to town and in a beautiful area. Looking forward to future stays. Thank you!
The stream is beautiful. A serene property in a bucolic setting.
We were disappointed that the breakfast that I thought was advertised when I booked was not available. Otherwise cozy room and great location.
We had an excellent stay at the Woodstock Inn. The inn was located within walking distance to downtown Woodstock. The property was quaint and peaceful. There were sitting areas located near the beautiful babbling Millstream…a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book. Although the room was on the small side, it was super clean and had adequate amenities. Check-in and check-out were contactless and super simple. Definitely would recommend!
Basically- the hotel is very sweet and a nice family owned vibe! If you are looking for romantic getaway as we were- the basic rooms do NOT cut it-you need to speak to someone and reserve something nicer than the $179 queen basic room- that room is plain but extremely well kept and clean. GREAT for a solo trip to Woodstock to do some creative writing or meditation! Overall -once I got over the the initial disappointment that this room(#2) was not next to a babbling brook, they are small, and it’s not really a sexy room-our two day anniversary celebration was fun anyway! There is a pretty on property stream and waterfront about 200 yearss away…very nice.
By the time I got to Woodstock
Setting of this hotel is lovely. Location is good. Inn is old with no amenities, very small rooms, air conditioning units that are ineffective. Due to Covid there was no included breakfast and no discount in price accordingly. Definitely not worth the price.
It was clean and conveniently located. Staff found a necklace of great sentimental value after we checked out and called us.
Great location
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. As a plus, the outdoor area by the millstream is very relaxing and beautiful. The hotel is a walking distance to the town which was convenient when it came to breakfast as none was served due to Covid. On the negative side, we found the beds and the pillows very uncomfortable so didn't get much sleep. The air con didn't work properly either and was blowing hot air twice during the night so that didn't help.
Fuss-free check-in/check-out during Covid times worked great. The site with the stream is beautiful, and very walkable to town for meals. Great stay!
The property is very nice - green lawns next to a stream. Every room has a chair on the porch.
Nice property & staff was friendly.
I thought I was in a perfect little fairy village that you only read in books! The Inn keeper was very understanding and nice. The facility was excellent. Had a very relaxing time away from the city life!
Management not at all welcoming
We booked a room for a girls weekend. We were told we would receive check-in instructions by email the morning of our stay. We arrived from out of state around 11:30 am and hadn't received any instructions yet, so I texted the owner. I received instructions via text a short time later stating we were not allowed on the property prior to 4pm check-in and the office and breakfast were closed due to "Covid restrictions" (which had been lifted by this time, mid July). We left the property, but did leave the car parked there, since we were never told prior to our arrival that this would be a problem. We were very close to the downtown area so explored until closer to check-in time. We arrived back at the Inn at 3:30, expecting the room would be ready. We were very rudely told by the owner that the room was not ready yet. We felt more of a bother than a welcome guest. I greeted her and introduced myself to her, since we had been corresponding, and she just walked away. After reading all the stellar reviews, I was shocked at how rudely we were treated. It was a poor start to our weekend. Fortunately, the room itself was very nice, it was a deluxe room, clean and spacious. It was convenient to everything.
Wish we could stay longer!
our room had a very strong, unpleasant odor the entire stay. the standard room is very small and the bathroom is tiny. overall very disappointing and will not stay here in the future.
Really nice property
Clean Cute Cramped
Went to pick up key. the woman was not happy I went in office. She said a text was sent to me to tell me where key was. I received no text. The room was damp because they want the windows open Tiny room. Pretty clean, exception shower had some mold in it and not all of the outlets works. Cute place. Not exactly luxurious. Nice soaps, though
The property itself is beautiful, with well maintained gardens of blooming perennials and planters with breeding with fresh Petunia’s. The stream is right there, cool, and deep enough to swim, extras towel are available. Now for the down side. The the rooms are vintage 50s with fresh paint and clean linens rounding out the classic 50s roadside motel feel. Now the problems the rooms are tiny we yÿt op
Pleasing grounds and ez walk to town. Could have used some practical things in room like bathroom hooks-a dressing mirror Room ceiling fans and placement of tv for viewing. We would return as owner was wonderful and cozy room too. Quiet and respectful and green atmosphere :-)
A quaint small inn on a lovely piece of property. It was clean and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.
It’s always a wonderful time. We’ve been coming here since 2011 - we wouldn’t be back so often if it was just fabulous.
A gem
- Wonderful amenities in rooms and onsite. - Great attention to set up in rooms to maximize space and function. - Grounds peaceful and serene. - Communication with staff via text smooth and responsive
It’s a 5 minute stroll to town. The inn has spacious nature grounds to sit around. The stream makes it special.
This gem sits next to a lovely stream where you can swim/wade or just sit and enjoy the water sounds. It is also just a few minutes walk down the road from the shops and cafes of downtown Woodstock. Room 8A is quiet, sweet and cozy - very comfortable bed, lovely modern bathroom, even a small kitchenette (sink/Keurig/mini fridge) and best of all, a gas fireplace for ambience. Check-in was contactless and so we checkout. Karen was a good communicator and the room was fresh and clean. We would return!
Amazing location
Recollection tarnished
Return visit after 12 years. Forgot how tiny the rooms are. Remembered how beautiful the gardens and location are. It’s a B&B with no breakfast right now — nothing, no bagged grab & go— due to COVID-fear tho NY no longer requires masks, etc. No reduction in rate for lack of one B — a 10% discount coupon to 2 places nearby that weren’t open when we needed them. Only common inside space is the breakfast area adjacent (no separation) to the office. No one is invited into the office. Even to check in or out. over-priced, won’t return tho we enjoy the staff & flowers & stream.
The property is lush and beautiful, situated next to a rambling creek with plenty of comfy lounge chairs to relax in while you check it out. The check in and out was completely easy and stress free.
Setting was beautiful, great outdoor spaces and location excellent.
Beautiful grounds overlooking a creek.
Much Needed R & R
Amazing ! Host couldn’t be any sweeter and gracious. This was much needed and streamside was beautiful! Bed was like a cloud, so comfortable! And location is all in walking distance to town. Will be back!!
Beautiful quiet setting in town a short distance from shops and restaurants.
Amazing place for a short stay. Great location, conveniently close to restaurants and main places to visit close by.
Very mellow stay, super close to all the cool places of Woodstock, either by foot or car. Super smooth check-in and check-out. Loved the rustic and vintage decoration of the room!
We loved our whole experience definitely coming back
Highly recommend!
It was so clean and very comfortable. Not a lot of frills but also super clean, and they made good use of the space. Would definitely come back here again. Location can’t be beat. Try Silvia resto when you go!
Nice room, close parking, good water pressure. Would stay again
Simple and cozy stay close to town
The motel styled rooms are simple, yet very cozy for a couples getaway! I recommend bringing additional bedding as the bed was minimal with a thin comforter and no headboard. Everything was spotless though and ample closet space as the rooms are small. Fan in bathroom for some additional privacy and adherence to Covid-19 safety/cleaning guidance was a relief. I’d stay again.
Location was amazing! You really can't beat it. The creekside location is so charming, and just a 5-min walk from the center of town. Note that standard rooms are indeed tiny -- our room #10 was billed as having a queen-sized bed on hotels.com, but it was definitely closer to a double. My partner and I are both big people (6'+), so sleeping conditions were not ideal.
Shower was covered in mildew, when I told them it was, they informed me it was due to the sanitizing products. When I clean my bathroom with proper bathroom cleaners, there isn’t mildew. Just seemed like poor care was taken in the room. Other than that the parking lot was unable to accommodate a full booking and was forced to park in a spot that caused my car to be smashed by another patron! Worst experience I’ve had in Woodstock. Next time will just book an airbnb. This place is basically an overpriced motel. For the price we paid here I could have stayed anywhere else in town that had actual amenities. But that was my mistake! I thought I was booking Hotel Woodstock.
We loved our stay at the Woodstock Inn on the Millstream -- beautiful setting, close to downtown Woodstock, clean and cozy rooms, and a wonderful continental breakfast with healthy options! Highly recommend!
