Decent hotel little over priced but felt safe it was very quiet
Best property in the area
Water for shower was Luke warm -
Some repairs are needed in the rooms primarily the bathroom areas, unfortunatly i did not feel it was worth the 121.00 per night i was charged
I have stayed at the Connersville Woodridge Inn in the past and was pleased. I’m a repeat customer 😀
Property is very old and out dated. We had a problem with the water in the bathroom so I had to switch rooms or drinks left in the refrigerator when I got there and the room had a musty milldewysmell I mean my review?
Staff was wonderful! Thank you very much!
Older hotel but clean
Trolley in Connersville
Great place to rest and was very quiet. Staff was nice and friendly.
The room were very nice & quiet the staff excellent
Clean room and comfortable beds. Need to check electrical outlets and light bulbs. Breakfast was convenient.
Great place to stay
Property seems understaffed The room is very basic no coffee machine And no ironing board or iron. No extra amenities at all.
Only really nice place to stay in Connersville and well taken care of. Very friendly staff.
Cost
Cozy And Breakfast Was Good
Clean comfy
Actually enjoyed my stay here was clean comfy and quiet if I had a complaint it would be the tv was to small for my taste and on the first floor when a vehicle backed into a spot you could smell the exhaust will definitely stay here again cannot rate the breakfast as I checked out before breakfast was open
Everything was wonderful.
Afternoon Check in service with Renae Gouch (spelling?) was excellent. She was very helpful. I missed breakfast by just a little. When I inquired about wanting just an orange juice the morning check in said “breakfast is over”. I’m sure there was an orange juice on the premises that I could’ve been given. Need more caring in this ‘ol cold world. Kindness can move mountains.
It was very quiet and room was clean. Curtains were torn- heater was very noisy
The hotel was clean and attractive. The staff was great. Very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked even though it was the last breakfast hour. We’d definitely stay here again.
Nice comfortable one night stay
Nice one night stay before a train ride with Whitewater Valley Railroad. Hotel and grounds very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice large and comfortable bed. One draw back that TV in room was very fuzzy. Lady at front desk did her best to help us but still fuzzy. Had backup that could watch things on my laptop.
The day before leaving there was a roach in my room. I told front desk upon check out no concern from them.
It was a decent hotel, but make sure you get what you pay for. I paid for a room with a king size bed and got one with what I believe to be two queens size beds.
No recommended
Booked on hotels.com and they didn’t have my reservation. Booked executive suite and supposed to have a lounge chair and desk chair, I had neither. Had to eat and work on the bed. Room was very dated. Air conditioner didn’t cook at all. Went to shower and had no towels had to go to front desk for them.
The staff we encountered were friendly. The bed was comfortable. breakfast was really good with a good selection. Our hotel room needs a new bathtub bad.
Average hotel.
Perfect
Nice hotel.. Breakfast buffet nice too.
There is a big hole in the roof outside my window. It has a bird nest. The bird was coming back and forth constantly to feed her babies. I give her a 10 for being a good mother.
Reserved a king suite. One wasnt available when we checked in so was upgraded to a jacuzzi suite BUT the jacuzzi didnt work so not really an upgrade. The other room I booked had a table in it , our upgrade did not. Ice machine & soft serve ice cream didnt work either & neither did the phone charger in the room. No hot breakfast items
Pleasant stay
Staff was very accommodating and friendly! This is a clean, pleasant, modest hotel.
It was a bit outdated but very clean and quiet. I spent four nights there and enjoyed my stay. I would have liked to have ice closer by and I wasn't able to get my room as cool as I would have liked, but it was still comfortable. They have no elevators so it may difficult for some who are unable to get a first floor room. I would recommend them (and actually already have).
Simple and clean , staff wa very pleasant
I enjoyed the stay. Very clean and staff very friendly.
The rooms were very clean and the staff was great.
Awesome
It was pretty clean for them doing renovations . Our room was perfectly fine for us . The only complaint which is really not one is it was hot in the hallway upstairs.
The desk clerk was pleasant and very accommodating to my need for a ground floor room. The room was fine, in general, but doesn’t appear to have been renovated recently. The beds were neat and the carpet looked clean. I was disappointed to return to my room for the second night of my stay and the room had not been cleaned. I was gone for over 12 hours and did not leave the “Do not disturb” tag on the door.
We were worried about staying here when we read the reviews. One review stated they used old metal keys for the rooms and another said it was dirty. When we arrived, we were given modern room keys for the electronic door locks and we found that this place very clean. The carpet, paint, wallpaper and trim appeared fairly new. I asked for extra pillows and they were promptly delivered. The continental breakfast consisted of a waffle maker, donuts, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, milk, orange juice and coffee. There was a small leak at the shutoff valve for our toilet which I reported to the front desk and they thanked me and said they would report it to maintenance. Our room was clean and quiet, One review complained about no elevator. The stairs were right in the lobby and had a landing half-way up. I'm sure they would accommodate you when you make a reservation if you need to stay on the 1st floor. The staff were nice and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Friendly and clean
Nice place in town.
Comfortable stay.
Very comfortable stay. Air conditioner / heating unit work great.
Always clean and friendly service
This is a no frills hotel but very clean and friendly staff. Would stay there again.
Could have been cleaner
The staff was great, the hotel location was great. They could not find my reservation, but made sure I still got a room. My room was clean, the bathroom was not. I actually washed the bathroom floor with a washcloth, before I could use it. The hotel is under going some updates, it may be a room they do not use much.
Propert needs major rennovation, WI-FI spotty
Good place to stay
Everyone was friendly great location could definitely us some updating! But overall was ok
No way to block out outside light coming in room at night, was like trying to sleep with the lights on!! No usb outlets for charging portable devices Front desk staff not helpful nor informative on local attractions
Dark, dimly-lit room; only one place to sit; wifi didn't work; vending machine out of order; towels were tissue-thin probable left over from the 1950s. Desk clerk was friendly and sympathetic. Good news: hot water worked.
Room was large and nice. Loved having a table and chairs plus recliner in the room. Pillows were a little thin but it worked.
Very dated. Matress was horrible. Towels are super thin and very small
WI-FI was not very good. for the price of the room
Not worth the price
Needs lots of updating. Carpet hadn't been vacuum. Curtains didn't close properly. Full length mirror was dirty. Toilet was way to short, felted like you was falling when you set down.
This is the only hotel in town. It is pretty outdated. Our room had no hot water in the shower and the front desk said it is because the hotel was full. The sink had hot water. They were leaving a message for the manager and I am still waiting for a response. There were no blankets in the room. The bed had a sheet and a very lightweight throw.
Tv reception was terrible. Free wifi didnt reach to my room. Unfinished drywall. Wall paper help up by scotch tape. Half the lamps in my room wouldnt come on. Toilet was very loud and always ran. Refrigerator was barley cold. Will not be staying here again.
missing breakfast
I was disappointed that there was no continental breakfast because of covid. The beds were comfortable but I didn't see extra covers in the room.
Nice no frills. Limited beverage and snack machine options. In beginning stages of remodel so hope upgrades for curtains and amenities are in order
Excellent Front Desk
Front desk was especially helpful during our 2 day stay to ride the Fall Color Train from Connerville, Indiana to Metamora. Breakfast and dinner suggestions were most helpful and appreciated and of course the local dining was very good. COVID tempers what most hotels can provide now as far as breakfast dining options.
The whole building was very clean and well decorated. Because of Covid there was no breakfast, not their fault.
It was ok. It’s not The Hilton. It’s not fancy, has few amenities, is very simple and basic, but at least it was fairly clean.
It was quiet and convenient. Appreciated the tips on nearby restaurants.
Great staff, not so great hotel
Room was clean, but it’s an older building with rather poor lighting so it doesn’t look like it is at first glance. Bring your own blanket if you get cold easily. Bedspreads are just as thin as the sheets. The “free wi-fi in every room” didn’t extend past the lobby. Staff is super friendly! Overall it’s a small town hotel in need of a major overhaul to bring it in line with its staff and cost. What worked in the 70’s doesn’t cut it today.
Not a very good quality place for the pricey price.
For the price you’dthink they would update this hotel.
They said no pets. Someone had 3 dogs in their room braking all night long. The place was out dated and needs remodeled.
Non- added value
No housekeeping, sheets had not been changed from previous use.
A little bit of an old motel/hotel situation but def clean and worth staying if in town.
It was very nice, quiet and clean! The luxuary suite is very spacious
Didn't care for the fact we paid for the room with you, only to arrive and it wasn't available. The front desk was rude and treated with s ad it where our fault. Didn't want to do anything to help the situation.
Was clean. Good hot water. Could have used a few more towels
Nice little gem
Great customer service! Amanda at the Front Desk was great! Comfortable room. Will stay again!
Nice place to stay.
DON’T DO IT! This is by far the worst ‘motel’ we have ever stayed at! As soon as I walked into the room I could see the nightstand and other furniture had not been dusted, and I don’t mean not dusted after a day or two. It was very bad! Went to the office to complain to which the employee followed me back to the room and confirmed it was unacceptable. I then took pictures of a floor not vacuumed, hair still in the bathtub, and the bathroom counter/sink, also not wiped down. This is all during covid when cleaning should be A ! And I’m not finished...My husband and I left to have a late dinner alone leaving our two 17-year old boys back in the room. We came back to find both boys sleeping on beds with no fitted sheets and not on accident like they just moved around too much, there were no fitted sheets. Our beds had no fitted sheets at all! Our boys after moving around were sleeping on a bare mattress!! And I’m not finished again... “Because of covid” as a sign on the front counter said, “no-one will be available after 9pm (even though we had just spent 3 previous nights at another hotel in OH that was open all night).” We had to listen to a dog barking (no pets allowed) off and on and people talking loudly in the hallways all night, with no one to call! As I was complaining the next morning, the ‘cleaning lady’ said “well wasn’t there a flat sheet folded over the ends of the beds?” Apparently by that response, no rooms have fitted sheets!
Hotel was very nice on the outside. Rooms were older including a recliner in our room that was cracked where people’s heads rest. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. But the place was clean and easy to access.
The bed was an old spring mattress, and the sheets were disgusting , the room had such a bad air problem we had to leave within an hour
The location was great close to food shopping and the brookville lake
Our family needed a place to stay in Connersville to attend a family funeral, and we're thankful the Woodridge Inn was available. The location is good, since Connersville is small and easy to get around.
Property needs updating. Carpet was sticky; Tv very small and faraway from bed . No box spring under mattress. On a positive note there was a coffee maker with coffee provided in the room. Towels were a little skimpy. Overall the room was clean except for the carpet.
Property was dated. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very meager. Not much variety.
The hotel was established in 1991 and it definitely feels like you travel back in time 30 years here. No frills, but bed and bathroom were clean and comfortable and that’s all that mattered to me for my short stay. Staff was friendly. Very dated (actual metal key for door entry, faux wood alarm clock, clunky “vintage” landline phone, etc.). WiFi didn’t work. Breakfast was laughable to awful. Conveniently located a stone’s throw from a Walmart, Burger King, gas station, and a few other businesses.
Room was clean. People were friendly. Breakfast was not what I expected. Didn't have a very good selection of items.
The hotel was clean and nice decor besides the 1990s tv hotel only had a few guests and upon check out discover we had been stuck in one of unly rooms that hadnt been updated with new tvs and furniture! Also had no towela in room upon check in kinda musty smell but overall clean
Tired motel.
Carpet very old, stains, worn, old smelling. The place needs an update.
Nice clean place. Staff was great. Saw some people c/o breakfast. We thought it was good. Waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bagels etc. Don't know what some people want. Only con I would say is no elevator, so if you have a problem with stairs ask for downstairs room. Would stay again.
The good things about the place, it was tidy and the staff was friendly. The bad, There is no elevator and the place is in serious need of updating. The varnish on the headboard of the bead was sticky. There were cigarette burns on all of the furniture and bathtub. We expected a coffee pot in the room and were disappointed. The mini fridge was rusting.
There are very few options for lodging in Connersville, so if you really want to be in town as we do when we visit family there, this may be the best choice available. The location is convenient. However, the walls are thin and you hear noises from all the surrounding rooms. The plumbing is not kept in good repair, so our toilet handle always had to be jiggled to stop running and the bathtub faucet had to be forcefully cranked off in order to stop dripping. The towels are thin and not great quality. The bedding comes loose in the beds during the night because they don't use fitted bottom sheets. On the plus side, it does seem reasonably clean, and I feel pretty safe there, so in a pinch, the place will do.
Friendly staff nice clean motel rooms were a little dated but neat and clean we had a King suite that was quite roomy, just lacked a microwave.Room was quiet comfortable bed. A good stay for the price.
The first room we were in reeked of smoke even though it is a smoke-free facility. The front desk was very accommodating and provided us with a change of rooms. This hotel is very old and dated but clean. The room charge was high for the amenities provided but it is the only hotel in town.
The king mattress was thin and very hard. could not sleep well on it.
The Woodridge Inn was pleasant with a small eating area. The room was clean, but a little small by today's standards. Tiny bathroom was helped by having the sink outside the bath/toilet area.
Price is a bit much but its not horrible. Its like a mini vacation
very good place to stay for a business trip ...good friendly staff
Really enjoyed the staff, very clean. Highly understanding individuals. I recommend this hotel before anywhere else in the area.
Nice little hotel, just what we needed for our time visiting the Polar Express train and Metamora. We had a great time!
It was a nice hotel and and I would recommend it to others
Breakfast needs help. Really wasn't a breakfast.Needs some hot items
It was very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. The variety at breakfast was limited but served its purpose.
A bit dated but clean. Asked if handicap room was available. The clerk said they only had two, one was occupied, and the other was being used for storage. Seriously? That made no sense considering the fact they were hosting guests in town for a class reunion from 1955! Luckily we were on the 1st floor so stairs weren’t an issue.
Nice quite room close to town. Friendly staff. Clean room
