The staff are exceptional at the Westin. The grounds are gorgeous. They’re in a remodeling phase right now so they upgraded us to a very nice apartment to make sure we were happy. We loved it there. A lot of people want to go to the west side of South Bali where the clubs are, but you can’t swim there. The ocean here at the Westin is very calm and peaceful for swimming. Even calmer than Waikiki beach if you just want to chill out and soak in the ocean. Applause for the staff.

It is an amazing resort to stay with kids, only thing is that there is construction going on in some parts of the resort. Just be aware that you don’t get allocated a room in the wings that the construction is undergoing. We loved the variety in the breakfast buffet and the option to walk to other hotels nearby to eat. Overal we had a great stay.

The rooms are sub standard to be charging $800 / night and outdated. The rooms were changed 3 times to get rid of mozzies and mould smell. Won’t recommend and not good value for money. Disappointing and Expedia didn’t helped in cancelling the rooms for better hotel and bad experience overall

Lovely resort with absolutely everything you could ask for. The family room was perfect for us (2 adults and 3 kids). The kids room has two double beds plus a ‘day bed’ which they made up for the 3rd child. This is brilliant because unlike many hotels, you don’t have a roll-away taking up floor space. Facilities are brilliant, food excellent and best of all was the breakfast buffet. One of my children is has coeliac disease and requires a strict gluten free diet. Not only did the buffet have a full gluten free area but the staff were aware and checked in with us every morning. The service was just outstanding. Overall, highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Lovely property in a safe location, Breakfast was amazing, staff were lovely and resort well presented. Quiet and peaceful location with plenty of other hotels within walking distance. Rooms were a little tired for the price. Our main disappointment was the pool as it wasn't family friendly - very deep in the majority of it, beyond average adult height and only a very small portion that is child friendly. Young children 3-7 not well catered for due to depth - splash pool more suitable to babies and toddlers, shallow areas of the main pool still not suitable for this age group.

Awesome place to stay for a family, the pool was amazing and kept the kids entertained. The meditation and ice baths were amazing and the location was perfect. I cannot fault this place. Highly recommended.

Located within a shopping plaza, plenty to do around and inside the hotel campus. Beach access and swimming pool were great. Upper floors of the hotel are insulated from any noise.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Westin and plan on returning. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were phenomenal and our spa treatment put us right in the vacation mindset. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic resort for families with great service, and room configurations gave a lot of space. Excellent if you're looking for a flop and drop location, with a number of food options on site. Not lots of local food options nearby, as very resort heavy.

Only stayed 1 night

Wonderful location and incredibly beautiful landscaping. Rooms are comfortable and staff is extremely friendly. There is a great walking path and interesting terrain and Hindu temples along the way.

Had everything you need for short trip

Uno dei top Resort a Bali. Il Westin Resort è un perla lungo la spiaggia di Nusa Dua. Bello, elegante, confortevole, enorme, pieno di facilities, silenzioso, tranquillo, immerso nella natura. Non saprei dove iniziare per questa recensione ma posso dire una sola cosa: venite e provate. Diverse piscine per adulti, 3 per bambini di cui una con scivolo, spiaggia ampia, bella e curata, lettini comodi, piscina, sports bar con biliardino e tavoli da biliardo, altalene, biciclette per passeggiate, cooking classes è molto altro ancora. Due ristoranti ed una colazione ricchissima completano la scelta, ma lungo la spiaggia è pieno di ristoranti stupendi e buonissimi. Camere belle, spaziose, soprattutto i bagni, tranquille. Beautiful property, right on the beach. Staff is extremely friendly. We stayed in the Premium buidling which is new, has its own beautiful pool and very nice rooms. You will love i your stay at the Westin Nusa Dua.

Amazing staff who couldn't do enough. I found the food offerings amazing for adults but lacking for kids. The kids' meals were probably a little too fancy and lacked options on the dinner menus. Would certainly return to the Westin.

Amazing experience except garbage at the beach

Absolutely amazing experience. Breakfast buffet was easily one of the finest and most prepared breakfast we’ve had. You cannot be taken back by the beauty and serenity of Bali and this Nusa Dua region. However, we could not believe the amount of trash that was literally right in front of the guest seats at the beach. My 10 year old son picked up this pile of trash within 3 mins alone. What a shame

Great place if you are planning a trip to Bali. The staff were excellent in terms of being helpful and they have a lot of dining options. The breakfast and the service staff were awesome. The resort has excellent facilities in terms of pool, gym, pool table, ping pong table or just lying on the beach in cabanas under shady trees. You will love your stay here and they also have a great spa with some awesome therapists, make sure to get a massage to add to you already relax and rejuvenating trip to Bali.

Property is great but what makes it unique is staff . Staff is working for more than 20-25 years still so passionate and helpful . Even new staff members are so gentle and humble . The staff and there hospitality takes it to another level . Buffet is one of the best and Ikan restaurant food is amazing too . Room service is top notch , rooms are cleaned twice a day . Hotel team goes over and beyond if they know you are there for any celebration. Our room was decorated as they were aware that we were there for my hubbys bday . This was my second visit and will definitely revisit .

The Westin was definitely a five star hotel. The staff were friendly and provided great customer service during my stay. Special thank you to Andre who personally assisted me whenever I had any issues. He was WONDERFUL! The Westin is blessed to have him there. The food options were excellent. We dined at most of the restaurants there and were never disappointed.

Excellent service from all staff. The largest variety of breakfast I ever experienced in my life. However, classical dishes were not that tasty. The cooks require training in Europe to get real flavours into the dishes.

Had to cancel since my visa to travel to Bali would not make it on time. The rooms were non refundable , and I understand that, but I also prepay the breakfast buffet, they could've refund that part but didn't even when we asked with Expedia Very disappointed, it will affect my future rejection of the brand

I recently stayed at The West In Resort in Nusa Dua and was truly impressed. The ambiance was amazing, creating a perfect blend of luxury and relaxation. The kids' club exceeded expectations, providing a fun and safe environment for the little ones. Overall, a fantastic stay with top-notch ambiance, hospitality, and an incredible staff.

Very clean

Lobby is beautiful and the location is perfect, we had a warm welcome with a drink and towel, but the rooms are pretty outdated and in desperate need of renovations. The Aircon was the biggest low. The hotel staff though were very warm and friendly and did their best to accomodate any special requests. Buffet breakfast is also expansive and pretty good.

Stayed 2N @ Westin x 3 rooms. Despite complimentary upgrade, the trade-offs were delayed in check-in (rooms only ready around 1630pm). Due to newly renovated, the rooms were dusty, locks not working and VOC smell. We only managed to settle down at around 1730H. Pools closed at 7pm so pretty much thats it to do for the day. We had dinner at Ikan restaurant. Food was pretty decent but a few of us got bitten by mosquitoes despite seated in aircon seating. At night, noticed our rooms also had few mosquitoes and my boys got a few bites again. They should have provided those insects repellent kit in each room. Breakfast spreads were good but couple of flies at some starions with no one attending. Hygiene needs to be improved. Their gym room is bad, you won't expect this standard from a 5 star hotel especially loked Westin. We had supper on 2nd night at bar lounge and thereafter our family had been vomitting and diarrhoea throughout the night till next day. We had to call for medical assistance to attend to us. To be fair, we could not conclude the root cause as our familly had dinner at Bali Collection. That said, 6 of us had dinner at Bali Collection, only 4 of us had supper that the bar. The other 2 were fine. Pros - Staffs were friendly and helpful. Hotel agreed to extend checkout time till 1600H.

We had a wonderful stay especially after the room upgrade. The staff was so friendly and welcoming! The breakfast was nice.

Everything was easy and outstanding service- we had a small glitch and required medical attention- doctor arrived in 10mins and was excellent. Really couldn’t have asked for better all the facilities were clean, food was delicious (including the diversity at the buffet breakfast), and the hospitality was so generous. Special thanks to the lady at the kids toy shop for going out of her way for us and the Hamabe teppanyaki chef and staff for making my partner’s birthday special. Thank you for another relaxing stay we look forward to returning.

The service ; people are so friendly. Close to beach and can enjoy cycling other exercise activities.

Smelly room

Unfortunately we arrived to an upgraded garden room that was smelly. That although the air-conditioner was turned on the dampness in the room was unbearable. I was lucky for an room change that was allocated 35 mins later after persistent complaining. Overall, everything worked out. Great breakfast and staff extremely friendly.

Beautiful Balinese style property with stunning established gardens. Things are a little tired but very clean. Staff are all wonderful in all areas. Food in the Japanese restaurant was amazing and the Italian was great too. The beach in front of the hotel is gorgeous - clear water (although very shallow) and nice sand. Staff keep it spick and span. Only fault I could list is that the huge pool is way too deep - 6ft or more for the whole thing. Only place you can stand is near the bar/slide.

Staff are faultless, rooms nice, buffet breakfast very good, nice surrounds, would definitely return.

Needs a refurbishment, we where always looking for staff to be served drinks or food. Long distance to room. Over priced and under serviced. Beds where super comfortable though.

Amazing except for bad allergen experience at Ikan

We overall very much enjoyed our stay at the Westin. We had a family suite which was very clean and spacious; the two bedrooms are separated by long hallways which was great for privacy. Our only minor complaint was that the light switches were placed in very odd places. There was a lot to do at the resort and we enjoyed the free paddle boarding/ kayaking, biking, swimming in the pool, and ping pong. I found the techno (?) music at the pool a little annoying at times however. We biked up and down the bike path in Nusa Dua and I was so glad I picked the Westin - it is the nicest property on that strip of hotels by far. (Note though the beach is not that pretty during low tide, so I recommend sitting there during mid or high tide only). The breakfast was amazing, probably the biggest hotel breakfast buffet I've ever seen in my long life. They had gluten-free bread and muffins! Never seen that offered before. Also, lunch by the pool was very good. Probably the best chicken satay I've ever had. Now for the one bad experience... we ate at the Ivan restaurant on site for dinner, twice. Second dinner was a disaster. My 15YO son ordered the octopus dish and had a severe allergic reaction. There is no indication on the menu or allergen symbol that this dish contains nuts! We totally panicked but thankfully 1 Epi-Pen injection in the room stopped it. I'm sorry but this is not acceptable for a 5-star hotel. My son could have needed to be hospitalized.

Very clean, great for families, food and accommodations are excellent. Quiet at night.

We loved our stay here. The buffet was great, the other dinning options very good. Pool was amazing and also the beach beds. The shower temperature system was a little annoying but once you worked it out, it was fine. Rooms and beds were also great. The only issue we had was with Taco night… great idea just badly executed. Meals took forever with only 3 other occupied tables. Then they didn’t order our toddlers meal. Then when it arrived it was still wrong and then tried to charge us for the mistake.

Our family had an excellent time at The Westin. The staff were all very friendly and the facilities met our expectations and needs. Our rooms were a little tired, with some powerpoint not working. I feel like it might be time to stage some room makeovers. The "shop" is very limited. Whilst plenty of free drinking water is provided daily, they are in small glass bottles that require provided bottle openers and therefore the lids don't go back on properly. This is not conducive for younger kids, bathrooms, or the pool area. The "shop" doesn't sell any drinks, only Pringles etc at inflated prices. I would recommend walking around the corner to the Alfamart for large bottles of water / snacks. The above critiques are obviously small and didn't detract from the wonderful time we had. We had a great time and would strongly consider returning to The Westin.

Hotel service was amazing. Very friendly staff. Also good amenities and location to access beach. Overall, it was a very relaxing and satisfying trip. However, I could tell that the hotel was generally a bit old. Bathroom condition and some of the stuff seemed old.

Very beautiful resort, ocean front beach. We loved the daily buffet breakfast, many varieties of ethnic foods! All staff were very nice. We ate at Japanese and Ikar restaurants, both restaurants were great! Decent happy hours with fun drinks !

Exclusive area for hotels hence limited stores around. If you’re looking at shopping and places to walk about, this may not be a good option. If you’re into just lazing and relaxing around the beach and the hotel facilities, this is peaceful and quiet without much touting

Friendly efficient service from people who care. Safe and clean. All bells and whistles. Great option in a great locale.

Beautiful and well maintained property welcomes you with Balinese dancers and musicians. Bars and restaurants overlooking the dreamy sea and sky views. Breakfast buffet with unlimited options. Have nothing bad to say , we enjoyed our stay to the fullest and loved every minute of it. Staff was very helpful and polite but expect slow service everywhere in Bali, that’s how they roll.

Not returning

An ok hotel for what was hoped to be an excellent experience for the start of 2023. Glass bottles at the pool, staff not well trained, dirty and old gym….super greasy food at a beautiful location ??? I hope that this site takes a “head to toe” look at the product and unique location and opportunities they have to improve.

I enjoyed the stay at the Westin. The service and amenities were great. The rooms are very spacious and have all the amenities you will need for your stay. Be aware there is some construction going on (August 2022), and this may be an inconvenience. This blocks the view to the beach. Also, noise and dust may be an issue. Some of the prices for food and drink are not really convenient in comparison with the rest of the city. Since the hotel is far from everything and not really walking distance to anything, you may have to option but their dining options, or the neighboring resorts.

Excelllent room, pool area well serviced by staff and clean and relaxing. Breakfast buffet huge variety of choice and always fresh. Staff were hugely accommodating and you were made to feel like royalty :)

It is a beautiful hotel in the nicest area of Bali with beautiful beach. Great service, people, and food. I also love the pool !!!

We stayed at the Westin for a total of 9 nights and wish we had gone elsewhere! There were only 2 good things about this "resort" and that 2 of the wonderful guys at the breakfast service - Swama and Aspiah. They were always so delightful and friendly and nothing was a trouble. If it wasnt for them I could see that whole thing falling apart-wonderful people. I tend to agree with all that SLL199087 says in their review - hotel is soul less and all the staff are like programmed robots with set in responses. The hotel and the room is dated and yes the balcony was pointless, all it did was allow the sounds of the screaming children to flow in from the pool. The main pool which was the 'family pool' always had towel on the lounges even before 9am so made it impossible to get a good lounge and thats if the Pool Towel Bar had not run out of towels. The joke of this pool also if that it had a swim up bar, mmm nice you say, no not really as the water slide that was installed for the children lets out right where the underwater seats are for the pool bar- impractical really! The designated "Adults Pool " had signage the size of an A4 piece of paper on a black sign on the end of a pole-really noticable not! THe amount of times I had to tell children to not swim in the pool as adult only pool I lost count of and most of the time there was a useless 'pool beverage attendant' standing right there...hopeless! Complaints were met with a deaf ear as were any complaints made during our stay.

We were a family of 10 (4kids and 6adults) that visited Westin Nusa Dua just last week and absolutely loved the location. The facilities are great. They have something called the “Living room” which has a shower facility where we can stay prior to checkin and after check out. The beach is beautiful. Loved the evening beach walk and we pass a lot of other resorts like Melia from 1 end to Club med which is at the other end. They have free rental of bikes if I’m not wrong. The beach looks absolutely mesmerising in the evening. Im not even a beach lover, but i loved walking there and enjoying the view. The sunrise would have been beautiful I imagine, unfortunately didnt wake up early to catch it. The pool is nice, no infinity pool though. There is a saltwater pool but it is only for adults. The only complaint we have is the day of checkin about 4pm we went to have lunch but there was some misunderstanding with regards to the food we ordered. The staff seems a little short handed also. Thats the only reason I rated it 4* and not 5*. The bf buffet spread did not disappoint! They had a fresh crepes station. I love staying at Westin just because of their fresh crepes haha. Will definitely return!!

It was a five star service and experience. Costumer service is over the top. The only complain i have is there mosquitos in the room like quite a bit. Im not sure is it because Bali is a tropical country. I told the staff when checked out. They told me i could hv ask them to send the exterminator. O well will know for next time

The hotel property has enormous spaces everywhere where we can find good spaces to relax and drink/dine on beautiful well landscaped property. The hospitality from hotel staffs were so generous and gracefully to us with warm greetings. We felt that we are part of family with their big smiles. One of a great lady at the concierge desk, Eka was so helpful and resourceful with us for our tour plan and able to provide shuttle service for us at ease. We would like to come back again!

Overall disappointing

It was overall disappointing because exactly after new year they closed the Italian restaurant and the other pool in the hotel and the restaurant on the beach was already closed for maintenance which they didn’t communicate with us at all on any of these changes.
